This is where Chicago comes to talk bears football. We are sports radio 104 3 the score broadcasting live from the Hyundai Studios Presented to you in part by your local Hyundai dealers WSCR WSCR FM and HD one Chicago in Odyssey Sports Station This hour is being brought to you by cars for kids Spiegel at home after news on the score all those guys You know you can almost call them the no named defense here at this point Just I don't know if anybody's super flashy all over the play and yet they they're playing really good football as a collective 11 on the field and Talked about the unselfish nature of our team last week and and I think that certainly applies to that side of the ball as well All those guys they just want to be sound they want to know exactly what their assignment is and make sure they're doing right by their buddy And so normally when your eyes are right your aligned properly it gives you a good chance to play good defensive football And then I do think it we alluded to our style of play showed up it showed up today on really in all three phases

We were a physical football team. We take a lot of pride in that and and I think that's the number one starting point there on defense I have a lot of beef with the end of this music video. I mean it's Alicia Keys and you know it's Alicia Keys but Her pouring milk into most deaths hot chocolate without him asking for it. Oh, boy. I didn't recall that particular moment That is that's that's rough is too personal. No, it's just that you don't know if that man is lactose intolerant or not I see it you sure it's regular milk. Yeah, that's what she said Oh, she put in the even though her manager told her that they she should make the hot chocolate with water She always puts in milk for him because he's special. Yeah, it's better with milk though I agree with you. I mean, of course Right, but then it can be real bad any go almond milk or or even oatmeal. No, but I'm saying you he didn't know yeah And then you're like oh, I got the bubble guts You can't have that you can't have most deaf with the bubble guts. No, you know fair

That's a Yossi and Bay. This is how this is how you run for office. This is part of your platform You damn right doesn't eat fish doesn't most definitely order some fish isn't like a fish. Yeah, he gets the special Yeah, which I don't know if it goes that well with hot chocolate I agree with you. I agree with you hot chocolate goes with everything just ask my kid Everything any time of day going to Starbucks you want something I'll take a hot chocolate and a cake pop But if you guys have seen the the the memes that have been going around social media of like I do live different outside my work clothes It comes from that music video because she works at a diner and she's trying to convince most deaf He doesn't know her name you don't know that's a good it I got you and so she's dress dresses a waitress is like I do look different outside my work clothes That's what that meme that you're seeing around your socials. What is the when you say no name defense in an NFL term I go back to the undefeated dolphins in 1972 they were known as the no name defense and

That defense Nick Bonacante who some people might know from Hosting inside the NFL. Yeah, but most people probably didn't know anybody on that defense They didn't have a lot of stars, but anyway that was their thing as the no name defense I assume that's the first one But that's what Ben Johnson is saying that maybe they're developing a thing where scheme and execution Is bigger than the stars on the roster? What if I told you That in yesterday's game at least in the first half and there weren't a lot of plays There was someone who I thought stood out I think there were probably a couple even though it's just in 32 plays. Are you tell me who you think who you think stood out? Dio Dio O'Dengbo. I thought he played a perfect first half I thought he was great with pressure. He jumped in passing lane. He sacked a quarterback I thought he played a perfect game in the first half yesterday against the Jets You know what's interesting is you look at the snap counts and look at the usage on defense

And you look at some of the highlights and some of the tape breakdowns that have come in today the day after is always a day Where you get to see a little bit more they move Dio inside on passing downs and awful lot Wasn't that part of the the the charm of like getting him is that you felt like if you had a need a tackle He could do that if you had a need it and he could do that like that was the idea of how his development was going to grow as a play Absolutely. No Marcus Davenport was active coming up off the practice squad and Lynch the defensive tackle James Lynch was Inactive yesterday. He played an awful lot in the first three games didn't play yesterday Dio used inside a lot on passing downs and that's a guy who can rush the passer but is stout enough to Hold his own on the inside So all of a sudden if you're playing say booker and sweat on the outside and Dio on the inside you can run a little stunt And it happened with Dio effectively a couple of times the booker sack is because of a sweat pressure and

Montez like I haven't watched the defensive thing yet you have a second time. I'm looking forward to it to key in on Montez But then there's a part of me that's like it was only 32 plays. Yeah, you know like like it's It they didn't have to be dominant yet. They kind of still work I think we can focus on some specific players. I'm glad you bring up Dio We could hang out and talk about Dylan Theanamon Samorra. He's he's really and we should We can talk about Tyreek Stevenson even though he got beat on the touchdown Tyreek made a number of nice plays on Garrett Wilson on third down. He did catch the ball Oh absolutely drop the interception and got beat for the touchdown I will say on the touchdown Tyreek had a really well timed dive and swipe at the Arm and he almost got there But he stopped several different third down plays to Garrett Wilson anyway There we could talk about some specifics. I think Dennis Allen's the star of this defense man

I think Dennis Allen is like He is scheming it up And pressuring like crazy and simulating pressure Breeze called it out a couple of times yesterday We saw it with TJ Edwards last week when TJ came up and faked like he was coming on a blitz And then backed up and had the interception and Alex you threw a play into the thread today where Malik Muhammad was simulating a nickel blitz It was the booker sack where Malik Muhammad was lined up on the the edge like he was about to blitz and he dropped out and chased Uh Garrett Wilson to the flat and took away the the the the route to the sticks and Gave allowed booker to make that sack so think geno smith was confused by simulated pressure and dudes coming to the line Whether they came or not Multiple times and having nowhere to go with the football. Yep. It was a good day for the Bears defense You're listening to a plumbers 911 football Monday present about UC bank and great clips. Let's hear Drew breeze Talk about his guy Dennis Allen. This is what this defense has drive gone for the past two years

It's the reason that they led the NFL and takeaways last year and interceptions were 23 And they're off to another good start this year getting three takeaways on Monday night against Philadelphia In a lot of cases you're going to see linebackers mugged up as you see right here And whether they put her not it's still sometimes the illusion of pressure is just as problematic And there it is Booker 94 the first to get there Oh Well you get watch booker here on the edge you know he ends up just making a second effort after being blocked initially by for shanu But when you're in third 15 situations as a port of act you just you have to hold the ball so the line has to hold up for a long time And if you can just compress that pocket eventually somebody's gonna get to you So you know, I think that's that's him being all over it

Right there in and that moment calling exactly what you're looking for and as you look at the snaps It's like James Lynch played 32% 54% 36% and then just flat out inactive Yes today, so there there's there's there's some shake up going I think Dennis Allen is learning to use his personnel a lot of learning to coach what he has most coaches We'll tell you that they will use the now that the preseason is different They will use the first quarter of the season to find their teams identity And I think that's kind of where we're at with the the bears defense This week will be a challenge now Ben turn the page we haven't officially yet This week will be a challenge in that regard and also an opportunity in that regard because if I'm looking at the packer's offensive line I'm thinking it's time to eat There are opportunities there for the bears to to really do some things But because I still think the skill position players are really good

Don't get caught slipping because that's how you could end up giving up a big play that might matter in a game And the big play yesterday could have mattered if the bears offense wasn't like we got this We'll just end the game right here so they don't have a chance So it didn't play out like the Sunday night game played out last night where you're going back and forth And then at the end you're like wow they they Detroit still has a chance to try and win this game my guy Bryce shunned by the way looking very good looking very good last day Damn time. Oh look at that. Look at that. Oh, Mr. validation is enter the threat. Oh, I got time I got some validation shout out to our friend Marshall Harris Marshall out here tagging me Saturday morning on the Instagram feeling very positive about his Mississippi city state bulldogs and their highs been hopeful and then Alabama went in there and stomped on their faces and they vaulted over some people in the polls, didn't they? They're very good. Hmm shout out to Marshall though. He's right his Mississippi state bulldogs are pretty good

Let the man enjoy his his Mississippi state bulldogs every once in a while they almost gave up 60 points at the crib though A couple other um notes from the snap counts yesterday Tyree Stevenson played a hundred percent of the snaps so he looked like back baby look like he was benched last week But this week with Malik at the nickel and no cam Lewis Malik played at the nickel for 88 percent of the snaps And Tyreeke is one of five dudes who played every single snap so that is Part of yesterday is Tyreeke outside the entire time and Malik inside of the nickel and they played very little Three linebackers very little base defense to Marco Jackson played 40 percent of the snaps the last two weeks Yesterday only played four snaps now they only had 32 again But it was just TJ and Devon at linebacker and no third linebacker almost ever speaking of TJ Here's what he told Ha and Peyton about the no name defense

Ben Johnson talked about it in the post game presser and he was just like You can start calling this the no name defense. I was like whoa whoa hold up hold up. We got some names on this defense How does that feel to to to be I know it's not just him saying that but also just as a collective you guys are are playing good football together Yeah, um, no definitely. I think I think we're all seeing the same thing I think we're all understanding what we're what we're trying to get done I think D.A. He's doing a great job of of calling it as well And it's also doing a good job of making adjustments when we need to um But yeah, I think it is on self as group, you know in terms of Yeah, I probably wouldn't agree with the no name defense either but jokingly But I think it's also a thing where we're a group that just wants to go win no matter what and so in that aspect man It's it's all the way and you're doing their job and and just trying to Really really get the win no matter what it looks like man. You can see it. I would trust each other We're getting a third down and we're getting into our packages and and we're getting off the field and that's something that we we try to do

Should we take submissions for nicknames? Do you have any ideas? Are you guys gonna discuss this amongst yourself? You're getting coached through it out there. So I think the entire city is talking about it now Hey, man, I've been my nicknames been tj since I was born so I got nothing I got nothing tj. I got some more submissions for you. I like this one For the 309 DA's bays Am I the winner right there Have I be a winner? You guys get somehow get these d a random He's gonna put up a slideshow and make us take some Appreciate you joining us this morning tj. Look forward to talking to you next week. All right. Appreciate you guys I work on some nicknames. You got going on all right good. We'll check it next week So the bays it's bachelor of arts right they all got bays. So what do you mean? I don't bad asses, right? Yeah, they are bad asses They're playing well, man This is I feared having to depend on complimentary football May, you know, Maddie profusors favorite word

complimentary football and here they are yesterday with the defense Doing its job holding them over on third down. Yeah It's nice, isn't it? It really is. Let's go out to Elgin and talk with Mike. Hey, Mike. You're on the score Tell us who are you? Good, Mike. I just had a quick question Wondering your guys his opinion it seems like Both uh kingdom and Beijing. Oh, no, they uh, they seem to get out of the huddle a little bit quicker And we're not getting than who thanks for the phone call Uh James you're on the store Hey, James James what's going on man How much boys was going on? What happened? Who's there? Where on the No, no, we we lost them because you're going to say something stupid about you know the maybe Caleb shouldn't start Yeah, I hope in a way come on. Yeah, you hang up on anybody that says that guy's book. I plan on it To look out and trust the fact that Keep one thing about Beijing and defense is playing great

I think number one man is lost to step for two but anyway the beast defense is playing great as a unit DA the mastermind but then just next level you think a wizard man is just what that man can do with backup quarterback But he basically can't be late once I play quarterback. I'm not I'm the number one rated couch and analyst in the nation So congratulations. Yes. Thank you sir and um he can't be late right he just don't have the honor That is I don't care if you watch this and say that you can get I love kill it dude I have five more Jersey what Jersey think I've all asked you for the first time in you know come on I'm okay with kids Having said that I just hope you realize that he can throw people open the NFL He does realize that and he did a lot more last year and he's learning he's learning to do it And the reason that Caleb can't be late on these throws because he's got a freaking canna because he's got a gun So here's the deal, okay You want a guy who was incredibly talented To also play the way that Ben teaches just about anybody to play fair enough

And that's what the entire season was about last year Can Caleb learn to play under Ben and the answer to that is a resounding and emphatic yes So the debate that you're having is not being had in NFL circles. It's not being had at Hallis Hall Oh, no not even remotely like enjoy the success of the bears backup quarterbacks It doesn't serve some grander purpose. No, it does not this Mike Sandoh wrote about exactly this today Mike Sandohe over the athletic extremely well sourced and he wrote about how Ben Johnson's turning into Kyle Shanahan in terms of being able to put anybody out there and and get in production And here is a quote from a coach for another team to Mike Sandoh, okay Quote Caleb Williams is so much more talented than these guys Caleb would have to be hurt long term start showing up late where sunglasses in the meeting room And really think he has arrived for anyone to prefer the alternatives and quote so he'd have to be Jay Cutler

He'd have to be both hurt long term and show up late and where sunglasses in the meeting rooms for anybody to even consider Maybe not starting him if he's healthy so stop yourself Do we have to go to Wisconsin for a good bears call I like this high Blake. You're almost scored do it Um, I want to talk about why we are going to be the Packers next week tell us all right tell us It's the last two weeks our defense is only one of 19 points against the Eagles and Jets which is kind of insane And I mean twice in Beijing. They'll even need to be a superhero next week Also the Packers could barely beat the Jets with their starting to be Yes, I think those are all excellent points black. Excellent points Blake. Thank you for the call Raccoon. Yeah, he actually I was gonna say why aren't you in school like youngster doesn't need school Definitely School school is done its job for young Blake. I mean congratulations 319 it's possible. He's out, you know, yeah, like just like just now He's in the car is in the car with dad. They're listening to hot bears conversation here on the spigol and owns show

Thanks for putting us on dad Ryan is in oak forest. He Ryan you're on the score Hey, what's going on? I'm here actually in confidence heights the rivalry town of worry town Actually a bit Right, I couldn't tell you I need some help. I couldn't tell you anything that went wrong And it's into conference game against a lottery team the stuff we did to the Jets if you watched the Packers game You could see they're disappointed to the same things the kitchen sink of personnel and formations and round combos The various blitzes and multiple coverage shells. This is not just cover three all day and spread off and saw day You get static against green Bay. That's when you start smelling the keys. You switch things up So I think I need a little bit of hope. What should I be worried about? Well, we can we can talk about the red zone offensive concerns that there's something we can talk about I mean Ben talked about Yeah, yes, he did and his tone changed dramatically So he's can he started talking about and rightfully so but I am just so glad That the rivalry town for worry town has been established confidence height confidence heights

I like that Ryan is Ryan the mayor of confidence heights or do we need another He's running I think I might throw my you have to throw your hand the ring Alex got a little bit of monetary support behind me in the primary gonna buy yourself an election See it you want to go for the old Packer sweep this would be the year to do it if you're gonna do it You want to you want to lobby for the sweeper room here again? I need a trumpet for that right well Why proclamation trumpet has been put away? Yeah, you might have to ask permission for you to make a proclamation That is that is the case right now because and also Ben is probably gonna win the election Yes, confident in a landslide. There's a statue of Ben in the town square of confidence heights It's a damn good-looking statue It's him doing the stanky leg I believe whatever he was doing was not the stanky leg But I appreciate him trying he got low. It was a crap was like a plunge basically like think of the stanky leg like this

Like think of the doing the butterfly, but with just one leg that's the stanky leg got you or what Alex does when he does the stanky leg Long time stanky leg guy Alex cool get Blake to the broadstop get that kid Blake to the broadstop for the broad bull Look in the mayor of confidence town with a stash of Confidence heights tani have some respect look. Here's what I say about Blake Blake's call was so good Doesn't have to do homework today and I'm a college professor man. I like that What if he has work to do well? He wants to grind some tape calls tomorrow if you grind some backer's tape If you want to do that kind of homework he's grinding his face off we'll put him on after Boeing Yeah, yeah, if you want to watch that game yesterday Buch more power to you. I'm sure but yeah, we love that Did I mention that this Friday the score it will be at the world famous broadstop in Kenosha for the return of the broad bull featuring Chicago vs Green Bay Rahimi and Grote will be there broadcasting live from 10 to 2 follow by our show from two to six that afternoon We'll be joined by special guests including Blake

That's grand appliance appliance experts since 1930 You Not only are white socks reveling in their club being in the playoffs But the cubs got blown away in sandy eagle And yet have to be in that city to understand it there might be some white socks fans More excited about the cubs losing than the white socks winning And tailors only made 41 pitches in the four enemies That's impressive now the two straight pitch

Curve jack swing you want around says third base something Jensen the scotty and tailor strikes out the side Strikes out six and the white socks keep rolling. They shut down clean landing game one three to nothing A tour de force Of bullpenning By the white socks on saturday gives them a one nothing lead in the best of five series With the Cleveland guardians the speaker in home show We have more bear stuff before clock Kevin fishbane will join us then But we wanted to turn this half hour over to white socks fans if you want to jump in and talk about the team is They get ready for game two of that series By the way, it's streaming on HBO max But if you have cable you can watch it on tbs just so you know there you go That way we don't have to get rich wide in here again No, you do his spider man thing that he was doing last week's on grade max. Thanks for having me

More time Hamilton How about a run darling before game one on tbs referring to the white socks as having a bit of a America's team vibe I couldn't believe that Like I I couldn't believe that that's where we're at But I get it like that's This is the type of team that I think it ends up being fun for people who are like wait I haven't really paid attention to the white socks That's exactly it. You know that team just about every postseason you're like oh man I didn't realize they were this good and this fun and this interesting that's the white socks with the slugging of Murakami and that absolute bomb But really with the young pictures and the very interesting and aggressive bullpenning from moment one And it's working the white socks have led for 24 of the innings That they have played so far they've played 27 they've led for 24 They've yet to trail in a game they were tied for a few innings They've yet to play a home game and they are three and oh with a chance to take a commanding lead in the series today

And if karate man would have had just one more biscuit for breakfast That that could have been a three-run homer and not a doubled-off situation that they had the John boy breakdown of that was hilarious So funny because like Tommy fam has turned into a physicist and he's like what at that lat launch angle with that That exit velocity. Are you kidding me? I mean he's right. He's right every other ball hit with that launch angle And exit Velo has been a home run this year in MLB But the way that the wind was blowing in that park on saturday it changes things. Yeah, park effects matter sometimes too I know you wrote on the document how impressed you were With Will Venables management on saturday. I thought it was a masterful management of a game on saturday because there are choices inside of that game where If you do it from a traditional standpoint You go well, I know that I might need Taylor and I know that we have the day off

But maybe I don't want to push him for innings maybe my limit they they didn't they didn't like go set limit They just said let's manage it with some feel and it's one of my things that they're really good a malgum of that One of my things is that too many managers are push button in In postseason and they're not like looking at the situation and what what's your pitcher doing right now and with Taylor His curveball was so beguile it was ridiculous It was ridiculous listen to Will Venable after that game when asked by somebody who got their late to the press conference If it'd be okay if he asks another grandtaler question You asked about grandtaler to be missed that I did but I'm happy to talk about I'll talk about him all freaking afternoon if he wants to but you're point about the managing why wait Why that's been his thing for three months and we've seen grandtaler used in this way

You know what I couldn't get out of my head is when we talked to Brian Bannister How did you describe Brian Bannister the the pitching in persario for these white socks a great hire by Chris gets You I remember you saying after we finished a conversation with him white socks fans if you want to feel any hope About the mess that you're in listen to Chris Bannister the Brian Bannister. Yeah, right in the Brian Bannister Because it made all of us feel better 100% because you're like oh, oh like there's a there's there's a plan here like there's What I like about it in our conversation with him It was one of those times and I like when white socks baseball sound smart I mean it honestly like it's one of the reasons I like ricons so much white socks baseball like sounding smart And then you listen to Brian Bannister talk about pitching and you go oh, they're doing things a little differently And everyone seems to buy in and then you add another smart guy in will venable and Ivy League dude that also seems to have

An incredible feel for the guys in the building. I think he does This is a Brian Bannister real briefly from last June June of 2025 as he talked to you about Grant Taylor What he can do is a pitcher It compares with some of the best Closers in the world So you know short term he definitely has that kind of upside And then people you know want to compare him to skiing etc. That have those types of velocities We are totally open to him continue to pitch in a starting role But between managing his workload dealing with his passenger history and giving him maximum upside and Maximability to contribute to the Chicago white socks and have enough standing majorly career We made that decision the short term and he's electric You know, I've seen him about close a couple times It's one of the best arms I've ever seen and I don't say that lightly because I've been around a lot of good arms One of the best arms he's ever seen and there's that guy I want to make this point about Hagen Smith and

Grant Taylor succeeding the way they are being utilized by wool venable as envisioned by Brian Bannister That's a year and a half ago and envisioned by Chris gets over the past couple years And they didn't want to give up any of their young arms and they're holding on to all of them and they're evolving right before our eyes There is a satisfaction And a validation of plan that's happening as you watch the white sock succeed that makes it extra satisfying And in some ways it's like 2015 and 2016 and seeing Schwarber and Bryant and Rizzo Be players of consequence You know it and pick it to other team where you've seen like oh, that's what we were told was gonna be good And now it's actually good and it freaking matters And the extra level with the white socks is that their usage of Taylor and Hagen Smith Is ahead of the creative curve Around MLB the forced efficiency for better for worse They knew they're not going to be a big market behemoth

And with a payroll because of Jerry and whatever So Brian Bannister and Chris gets hatched a plan to use their young pictures like this And it's working and I don't know if Grant Taylor is a closer next year who cares? I don't care and I don't matter if he's a closer a starter He's this right now and they might make the world series with this right now There's not a lot that's annoyed me about white socks coverage and white socks reaction over the last couple days But the one thing that does annoy me is and we've got a couple people texting and folks are in the mob Is Grant Taylor gonna be a starter? I don't care. Spleep about what he's going to be he's a freaking weapon that's might take it to the world series You don't even know what type of season you're gonna have next year But I know this much the white socks are getting ready to play game two And they have a chance like we said back in when we're looking around the American League and you go There's no one that's really jumped out ahead except for maybe the rays Why can't the white socks find themselves in a championship series? Yeah, and they're right on the doorstep of doing that

Yeah, the question is like how much is Smith able to pitch today after day off how much is Taylor abril pitch today You might not even need them you might be winning 12 to 2 you might not need either of them then they get two days off Or you might you might be losing right? I game you don't have to pitch him right so like no and by this time next year They both might need Tommy John and be out to the year you don't have to worry about Grant Taylor or Hagen Smith or Noah Schultz's long-term Yeah, right now but look around the league man I remember when the Brewers did their thing last year with multiple guys going three four innings and a beat the cubs We talked about bulk guys look what the braves did last night Chris sale wanted to pitch last night the braves said no We're gonna go with an opener and rake her and we're gonna make it a bullpen game And they won and now the reward is they get Chris sale at home for game three Like the smartest organizations are doing these kind of things and the white socks are ahead Of the creative curve which is crazy. It feels pretty great. John is out now. Gank one hey John you're on the score

Hey guys, I just want to say I'm a diehard cubs fan But I'm also a diehard Chicago fans. I'm rooting for the white socks and like I was telling you producer The white socks this year kind of remind me of the Florida Marlons back in the day when we had semi-sosa And more say a Lou and they only had like a 25 million dollar um salaries. Yeah, and they went out of one to one this World Series and all these teams didn't know where to Florida Marlons came from and what how they won Yep, the white socks kind of remind me of that is that none of these teams think you know because before to see the started everybody thought the white socks were gonna lose another 100 games Well, we appreciate the phone call and I mean I would have let you kept going But you had the radio on and there's a hard time like us hearing what you're saying and you hearing what you're saying I want to say though. He makes a great parallel in this way Jack McKeehan outmanaged dusty baker like crazy and that NLCS in part because he used starters in relief

like Carl Povano and Don Trell Willis and like he used Josh Beckett once in relief in that series like He didn't care. He just used his best arms while dusty was still at the time connected to well now I must go to my bullpen and use Dave Veers You know, it's like so you're seeing you're seeing one team be kind of ahead of the curve And it's a little jarring to watch but it won't be in a couple years I would say though who has a cheaper payroll than the white socks The team that they're playing yeah, yeah, but yes, but they have two big starters in Mexican Gavin Williams They also have a a a homegrown brand name star on their team too the white socks are trending in that direction Whether you think it's Murakami or you think it's Montgomery or you think it's Vargas But we we know who the guy is in the middle of that lineup for sure But but the fact that you do have two teams with payrolls that are under a hundred million dollars

Right here in the middle of it and doing it in different ways. Yeah, different styles That's the part I can't get past is the proof of concept you're right They could they could lose today they could lose this series whatever but three games in I mean Sean Burke is a bulk guy in relief today davis martin who knows when he's gonna pitch again That was their ace for the first two months But Will's been watching the games and he saw the regression that happened in the second half of the season He successfully turned Anthony K into reliever now he's an opener instead of Sean Nukum or Brian Hudson And it's like that looks smart as hell to me frankly and the fact that it's kind of whatever it takes is I think also Indeering to a fan base that has always been like whatever it takes yeah, so now you have a team that is representative Of the fan base and everyone can kind of jump behind it and it's a lot of fun And it's okay to live in this like it's one of the things I I just abhor about Baseball fans that you're always setting your joy two or three years ahead. No, yeah, but it's right here

But I get it because we spend so much time thinking about roster construction and organizational plan But once you get here to these games It doesn't matter anymore. You're here right now here. So how are you gonna win? Figure it out right now and Will's doing it. How about we try to figure out a way for the white socks to win today Whatever is necessary today White socks baseball Went next here on the score fairs fans Jared Peyton is bringing it. I'm a honn Peyton show Common young guy running like his hair is on fire yesterday and gaining up yards 30 carries I don't care what level you're at 30 carries is a lot to shoulder on on for a load of you know run the football In he yesterday made he made a statement that offensive line made a statement Jared Peyton talks bears all week plus unfiltered reaction after every Bears game mornings 5 30 to 10 on the hauen Peyton show on sports radio 104 3 the score

This segment is sponsored by climate guard windows Spiegel at home show flashback flashback flashback flashback What's the goal of Celebicee for Sean Burke if you could explain well Yeah, so obviously Maria Live you know post game celebration interview and Anthony Kay likes to Thrill over and play celibate for Sean obviously in this quote you've got you know girl right Yeah, but just to be clear is the idea that if we're celibate Sean is more likely to find a young lady I don't understand what the goal is here of the movement. Yeah, I don't I don't exactly I think it's more just they Uh, let's let's say Sean celibate for the playoff run. Let's just go with that. Okay. I can't say that everyone in Chicago needs to say celibate for Sean Throughout this playoff run. I think I'd be a little bit of a big ass Solidarity I'm not sure if any of it was well thought out it was damn funny though and that's where things stand right now

Here is the line up Sure Here is the lineup for the the white socks as they get ready to take on the guardians this afternoon Ansonachi is in left teal is your catcher Vargas at third more comment first been in tindy is the DH Peters Banana ball isn't dude Banana ball dude dude dude dude dude is in center field Braden Montgomery will be in right field in bat seventh chase My droff is gonna be at second base in bat eighth and colson Montgomery will play shortstop in bat 9th Anthony K will be the opener for today's or let's start. I don't know whatever it is that they seem to be all right with it And the the guardians will go quon remeres de laudre adel low That's the guy in this series that I'm like he's gonna come up with some dumb ass big here. Who's that which one? Low oh really yeah, that's the like and you know they have a there's a bunch of dudes a fear in the theoretical and I love

Joe adel and I think that was a great addition by them It's what it was And while he's not a power guy can definitely come up with a big hit, but I feel like That's the dude that's gonna like it was gonna cause us some angst where's roke you? Is he down as rokeo is batting ninth today? Is there is their team rbi leader? I can't stand that guy He hits ninth he's like like no one has ever Led their team in rbi while having this bigger percentage of it bats from the ninth spot It dude is is clutch and their fans know it they got a bunch of dudes To fear it's just that the white socks have laid down the hammers so far through one game Sean Berks numbers against the guardians are outstanding So it's interesting that he doesn't get the start, but he doesn't care Kay is there to get through Probably not as much as he can Smith got through I suppose if he's rolling they could let him go to But it might not go to well, you've also got a day off on the backside Correct like like that's I hate that these games are on early and it was it was really jarring Saturday like Saturday

I was like I wouldn't even dumbed with my first errand You know yes, I'm out there with the roobster I'm like we're trying to get the homecoming is coming up in a couple of weeks getting that man some like a shirt and some pants Some nice white night keys so he can rock it from coming and the game is beginning He go white on white now he's going black on white black pants black shirt white shoes No, but I'm in the shoes are they what just straight white on white Looks pretty clean. I admire the choice Man, you can wear those once You only get to wear those once Go for him for understanding the the value yeah luckily Alabama was was smack and Mississippi state around so by noon I was able to just like oh go multi-screen for a little bit here and that is this chef's kiss I am in love with youtube TV And the fact that I don't in no disrespect to our our regional sports networks But the fact that I don't have to worry about the regional sports networks as far as inputs go

Wow, I did get home in time to be settled in For the first pitch Murakami bomb man, which was just that had a sound to it that was so boy enjoyable oh and he knew it and he was celebrating Everybody and which is it felt so good for him to get one going. I didn't hear this tanny This is from Josh Friedman over at GN. Yeah, almost everyone knew about you know the Murakami home run and how loud it was I've got to be experiencing them almost everyone one guy specifically Yeah, Sam Antonachi did not have quite the same story as we all did watching it live I had to group moon a when he returned from this home run. I was actually in the cage. Oh no. Yeah, I was eating in an ice cream cone so Yeah, I was like Either ice cream cone to help to score runs or Hell if my name would have been called I was eating ice cream cone. I probably probably would have Would have been in the doghouse, but maybe I'll have one tomorrow

So Antonachi wasn't in line up didn't play in game one. He was in the cage swinging during the Murakami home run I'm now convinced He's a bitch doing an Andy Kaufman. I think I'm an entire career. I'm convinced Because between the someone paid me money to trip during introductions. Yes, and I wasn't watching One of the most prodigious home run hitters in the American leagues bat because I was eating ice cream in the bat in cage I feel like it's a bit and it's a hilarious one. I'm thinking of a Moment in spring training when I saw the white socks out in Arizona And I said yeah, man I'm looking forward to seeing all your young guys and your own pictures and everybody like that And the guy grabbed me as I was walking away and said and Antonachi Way to get a load wait till you get a load of Antonachi Remember that there was a whole buzz about him. Yes, and we didn't necessarily buy it because we hadn't seen him And then we saw him in the world baseball class and we're like all right, I get it the numbers in the minors didn't kind of make sense

But now you know why they were so smith. He's a baseball player. Yeah, and they've got a couple of them chase is a baseball player And it's fun when you got some guys like that makes it very easy to root for when I was watching the world baseball classic And team Italy and Antonachi when I was in Venice watching oh, I knew it Hey, man, Tiel baby out there having a good time at that point, but yeah, sorry past watch My you know, everybody having coffee It goes a long way back it's the same year. All right, we know that you white socks fans are gonna go watch the game So go do that have yourself a time Be watching the game texture says it was nice of Ben Johnson to show tribute to the white socks and using opener for Tyson agent Let's ask our buddy Kevin Fishbein about all things bears next year on the score
