And, you know, this was more of a kind of a spontaneous episode here this week due to, you know, a comment from the subscriber of somebody, you know, who follows. But before we get into that, I was out today, searching the local spots. And, you know, I picked up here, the big boy, the big 32 ounce can of Miller High Life for only $2.25 for this to two and a quarter right here for the big can. It's hard to say no to that when you see it, which, which I'll go into more of the reasoning of why I stopped in, but said, you know what, champagne of beers, the high life.

6:32It's always a high life season here, especially when you get that big 32 ounce can. I know Roadhouse has a clasp over there as well. Yeah, I picked up a six pack to 60 ounce. And, you know, Nady Daddy's yesterday they were 499, which was right up my heart. That's a good price. We get that six pack of the 16 ounces for below that $5 price range is always say, like getting a 12 pack of natural light. Yeah, you get this bonus. You get the bonus there. That higher ABV. So, yeah, ABV. Yes, sir. All right, so let's crack them open. Let's get with thirsty here. We got to get drink and we got to get started here. Oh, and didn't spill out, but it did do a nice. I thought you don't have a can map. No, no, no, I did put it in the freezer for a little bit beforehand just to get a little extra crispy here.

7:34So I've been cheers. Yeah. Yeah, that's a good stuff. Yeah, I mean, and that's always been as we've said, since we've been featuring that Nady Daddy a lot this past year. A lot of people have stumbled across some of the videos or the shorts. Yeah, and they've they've turned on to it. And they'd be like, you know, I didn't know about Nady Daddy and that I tried it. And I'm like, Hey, this is a pretty good beer. I didn't know. I get a lot. I didn't know is 8% they seen it, but didn't know is 8%. So yeah, and then the Nady, you know, the Nady light and doesn't really promote. They didn't really promote the Nady Daddy that much. Right. I mean, you go on and how's your bush, the natural light, Instagram and other socials, it's mostly just the classic Nady light.

8:38There we go. Yeah, they sometimes still sprinkle in that sometimes they'll sprinkle in some some Nady ice post. And it's very rare to see a Nady daddy posted on it, which is interesting. You think they would. You know, just sprinkle it a little bit more. Yeah, they just got the code for can. It does catch your eye on the shelf. Yeah, I did see those two today. And I almost picked up the Nady daddy put when I saw this guy. Yeah, for two and a quarter, for two and a quarter for that. Because essentially, I popped into the store today because I was in the area that used to have and had the only spot that had the Colt 45 double malt back in the day. And when I first stumbled across this store six years ago, it had it was like the mecha of the malt liquor and the cheap booze and cheap prices of everything when it had Colt 45 regular double malt high gravity.

9:46There was St. I's cans. There was old English cans. They had 22s of Colt 45 bottles and old English bottles and then a nice lineup of 40s as well. And then over the past couple years as times change and then you know, two years ago when they announced Colt 45 double malt was done. It was off the shelves there because they had a steady flow of the double malt at the store over the years. I know bringing a tear to your eyes over there with the end of the double malt in because there's multiple care packages that went your way or double malt over the years. And anytime I'd go in and make sure to stock up, you know, maybe get like six cans or so and be on my way and then I went in that one day they didn't have anymore and then we found out well because they were discontinuing it. But then our nation has always counted on us to win to fight for what better could be to secure our future together.

10:52We are Marines. We were made for this. Over the past years so the store they I don't know if somebody else bought it or they kind of started to renovate it a little bit tried to get it more higher class I guess. So a lot of all the classics started to disappear from the shelves. And so I went in today and I looked around and they still had some MD 2020 and the one cooler on the one side only had the bling bling and the orange Jubilee that was the only two flavors that they had of MD 2020 that I went to the beer side. And what used to be you know these full two full like sections of tall boys has now been like dwindle down so not that much so. And even the even the prices for some of the things that used to be very cheap.

11:54I mean now I think it was it was $4 for a can of Fort loco was what they were looking for over there and and a lot of the other prices so when I saw the big guy here for only you know two and a quarter I was like all right I'll pick up one of these because as we've said before we try to get something you don't want to walk out empty handed you're like I'm already here. Let me get something some looking at what's the best bag for the buck at that point and okay I have I have three dollars in my pocket okay here you go get my 75 cents back and be on my way out of it. Yeah for the change your moment. Yeah. They always say two and a quarter that's two seventy five. Prices have gone up since then buddy buddy. Oh man yeah.

12:57Yeah but it's just remarkable I mean thanks to your via subscribe yeah yeah we always say whoever's people that subscribe and then they stumble across the YouTube channel. Because of what breaks people in if it's the shorts and the clips and stuff you know we hope everybody sticks around for the real meat potatoes over here of the podcast which you know we're going on 12 years going on 13 of the podcast side of things. Turning space. Yeah yeah times have changed times have changed over here so it's we're hit it for a long hole. We hit we we said all these milestones and we had all these things planned to do something every time we've reached them. Kind of I didn't give it thought like 30k you know I didn't think it was going to be a number that we'd see you know anytime soon. I never like came up with any shenanigans to go.

13:58But no in the very beginning it was like okay we had you know one thousand okay Edward 40 hands so we we did that that's in the archives you want to see that one and then. They got to the point after one K when the ball started rolling a little bit faster yeah which is which is good thing nobody's complaining about that. Like okay 2k well maybe we'll do another Edward 40 hands but it kind of came a lot quicker than we thought yeah and. I forget what we did for for 2k and I know we did maybe is 3k might have 3k might have been when we did the cereal with. With our with our favorite drink of choice with cereal and then kind of since then it's just it's just been a whirlwind it's been a it's been a freight train going through with the pair so. I mean 40 hey readers always that time for redemption now we always say 40.

15:0340k 40. I think that would be the I mean once once 40k comes around yeah there will be definitely right now you can mark it down put it on the books so there'll be some sort of a. 40 ounce challenge of some point if it's a chug or that's what I'm just going to be 40 there'll be 40's involved in some way shape or form. That that's for sure but I know at least for for 30k celebration within this month you know we have you know we're celebrating you know for loco October now while you know they're still. Sacking in most cases you know for the the old school a sponsored crew I mean I had pop up in my memories the other day. Three years ago when we were talking about the controversy of the for loco float with the change from the 14% to the 13.9 right so.

16:04Which we still never got official answers on on why we have our theories yeah of why it was it was changed but we never got official confirmation from for loco why the change went from 14% to 13.9. But we're out here we're still we'll still be celebrating this year and in some way shape or form and I was going through the fridge earlier today and I have a user the cans of for loco that I still had on hand over here now the fruit punch one I picked up earlier this year around the battle the boost time when I was trying to find the king cobra. And I found the the new fruit punch can when they did the whole redesign and they did a vote for what people wanted to see the new fruit punch can to look like so I still was sitting on that one for a while and then I also had the sour blue razz and a sour grape which these I believe I'm sitting around since my birthday last year for my 40 if I think these were given.

17:10As gifts from from people at the party because people were just bringing for loco in beers and stuff and I had a whole bunch of tall boys that I had gone through that but some of these for loco's still sat because I think I had multiple sour blue razz I know I did a couple of them and then the grape that's one to kind of revisit again I think I do like the grape but it's not a it's not a go to. Yeah I don't mind it it's one of those that. I want you go ahead and crack it. And get the drinking it's like oh this one's actually really good yeah yeah I think that one was one of that wasn't overly sour I think it was more of the grape. Play with the hint of sour and then. I had a can of for loco gold still which I don't remember if that was one that for loco might have sent at one point last year when they sent.

18:12There was a package I think with for loco gold is one of the care packages they sent. That's the dazzling can isn't it yeah yeah that's what they did the redesign and has the the dazzling and the like the when you touch it you feel the the for the fancy can as we like that I think I was on a road trip down in Tennessee. That found that can yeah yeah so at some point. We'll be telling the interrupt you but the for loco fruit punch is that one at 12% that is yes. How many of them out there are just 12% now I think it's all the original flavors I believe are like I think it's the fruit punch watermelon. Let me see we'll do it live we'll look okay we'll look it up but yeah it's all like the original flavors out there that I believe that originally were 12% and they stuck with that for all of those and that was.

19:30Yeah let's see here and maybe there's something new on here every once in a while you go on to the for loco you find something new. Yeah so fruit punch watermelon peach strawberry lemonade and yeah that's it those are the only ones that are still 12% strawberry lemonade boy I had that forever I like that yeah that's a rare one to find I haven't I haven't seen that one. In a quite a while yeah yeah I mean ever since when I was going through back in 2023 and I was trying to find all the active flavors and then I did the my whole power rankings. Of the for loco flavors and searching around and I had gotten all of them at the time that were out there and I remember there's only like one spot that I got lucky and found the strawberry lemonade because that was one of the original ones I found that I had that one when I was in Vegas one point I had found out the strawberry lemonade I mean this was.

20:4511 11 years ago at this point out there and I got the strawberry lemonade and Vegas and that was a nice way to kick off your your Vegas trip. Definitely yeah but nothing new it seems like on here still still no sign of the for loco pregame jungle juice that road has found in his travels last year. Still hasn't actually made it to the official release list here I mean there is that the for loco camo pregame which I have yet to see and then there's still the whole new lineup of all the for loco remix the box ones like be a tried out a while back to which I still want to try these you know that I really want to try that dream sickle flavor of the remix in that and that. And that that lucha lemonade sounds like a good.

21:46Now be now be now be right up your alley if you're if you're lucha loco showed back up again. It's been laying around here somewhere maybe hold maybe he'll show it for the loco ween celebration later this month you know Halloween loco ween maybe maybe he'll make an appearance you never know. You never know who might show up on the podcast so. Haha. Wait on a say. These time I look forward to next couple weeks you know October is you know good Chris bear leaves are changing. It's the apne bear's change so you got to that that buzz going and I can't wait to add to the buzz with a good. 22:56The past few weeks now was the release of the the new fireball torch vanilla and we did it a few weeks back you can check out the episode in the archives yeah we've had a lot of fun with this one yeah and we're mixing it up we tried it with the keystone light apple. Which it was it was a decent mix wasn't anything great we still haven't done which is still on the list to do is doing the regular fireball with keystone light apple. Because I think that might be a better combo for it but in the meantime since then we've we've been hard at work you know doing our mixology in the background trying to find the perfect concoction out there. So I tried a couple weeks ago I tried the the torch vanilla with ginger ale and it was it was decent not not a bad combo but what I found I know you tried it with the Coca Cola said that was a you know a primo.

24:06The primo mix there which I have to do that still because it's a vanilla coke you can I love I love the vanilla coke can't go wrong with that in a little extra spice to it yeah to it which is perfect for the season that's why this this fireball is that perfect when it gets cooler the the fall the winter. Perfect time to dive into that but the unexpected combo that I came across was mixing the fireball the torch vanilla with some seven up was a surprising mix that was really good. Yeah what I what I did I did side by side first I had two separate cups set up and I did the seven up with the regular classic fireball and then I did one with the torch vanilla fireball and the regular fireball one was good but the torch vanilla with the seven up was was really good I was surprised.

25:06Yeah how good how good it was and then I did both of them together a double shot of each in there and that worked out pretty well too but I but I was surprised with how how good it was with the seven up but I love research. We this R&D the research and development over here you know it's all for science as we like to stay over here we're going to forward press forward with our research tonight. Exactly exactly so if you know the the last podcast we did the Sam Adams the the fall legends variety pack we went through we tried out all these guys we did check it out in the archives and we did our rankings. Of them and and the one drink that I would say we were the most disappointed in was the the new the apple spice ale it just didn't quite have the flavor to it that we thought it would have going into it so when I posted up the picture the other day about the concoctions I was doing with the fireball and the seven up

26:24a good friend of a follower subscriber of the show here it is beer beer music 86 said Sam Adams apple and torch vanilla and I said oh okay I didn't even think of that at the time yeah when we were doing it and it was like well you know what that could be what that needs is that little extra kick to go along with the to go along with it so what we're going to do here today we still had some apple spice ale sitting around so we said you know what we're going to do it here today we're going to we're going to mix it up we're going to do the fireball torch vanilla and the Sam Adams apple spice ale so I mean because you think this could be like an apple pie with that vanilla the ice cream on top the cinnamon so we'll see what we get here so we're going to mix them up we're going to do the apple spice ale we're going to do a shot of the fireball we're going to mix it up here and we're going to see is it really that good and does it help out the flavor of the Sam Adams and it could be it could make it could make it a winner for the season so let's let's do it let's crack this guy

30:15did yeah yeah yeah that's uh that's kind of dangerous let's just say yeah that's not bad it's that's definitely really makes it better putting that shot in there with it yeah it's kind of like it's it's right there it's right on the cusp of of where you would have thought this would have been in the first place I think who there we go if we I if we did like a 50 50 I'll say October Fest and Apple Spice equal parts and then it's done with that vanilla I think we'd have a vanger I mean I can see the flavors that are in October Fest I can feel those complimenting this taste right here

31:19yeah yeah just that little bit to add to it yeah but but the more I sip on this now now that I just probably kind of you know settling in yeah I get it way through yeah but that's that that's a solid comma I think that would be the way to do it with this one this is like your your kind of your quintessential fall drink around the you know you got the fire going you're outside you know it's it's Halloween you're out there walking around you know you got you're taking the you know the kids out trick or treating and you want to have a little extra for you there yeah you got your mug you got your big Stanley whatever no you poor you know some of your Apple Spice ale in there then get it get it I would say probably get a little generous on your poor yeah

32:19the fireball I think that's what you need I think a little like I'm gonna give it a little you know what you're all right to see man I'm gonna do a little bit extra in there and see thanks I still got a little bit of the can I'll pop that in there too just the see yeah I think that the double shot of it oh wow it's the way to do it yeah because that gets a lot more of that vanilla pace to it with that spice and that that's a good combo yeah there so that's good you're right here I'm gonna say that's good and even like a good Thanksgiving drink combo right there that's perfect for your your dessert yeah once the once the pies come out

33:30after you finish your turkey you're done okay because I don't know about you I sometimes I'm not a I'm not a huge big dessert guy but because a lot of times after like that big meal then everybody's like okay we're bringing out the pies you want you want apple pie you want pumpkin pie I'm like I'm so full right right now I'm gonna eat a few bites and that's miserable yeah and uh unfortunately for me where we have Thanksgiving is a pleasure to be around everybody but there's not a decent place where you can stretch out and get that after meal napping while you're watching football game yeah and uh or you know so it's kind of what I you know what I think of Thanksgiving day is missing is that deep nap and then you come up out of that coma that you are food coming

34:36that you were in and you go back to the kitchen and then you start camera on the desserts yeah I think that's time there's not enough time in between yeah it's not because a lot of times if you're doing it and it's okay you're eating and then okay it's like maybe like 10 minutes and then everybody's like okay let's get the dessert out because people want to you know get out and get home I mean so I'm I mean unless you're eating your favorite question is wanting to get their kitchen cleaned by the guy I know why that's thinking you go in there constantly you're like oh my god it's all there's 50,000 dishes in the sink the dishwasher is already running running right now one load yeah you got a whole another one going I got to wait you know two hours for this thing to finish running and you're like oh my god is anybody leaving yet like what's the what's the story yeah it's not like you're eating at like if you get it like two okay you can enjoy relax and then then at like five have your

35:38dessert now are you uh uh wake up early watch the parade every year yeah usually yeah yeah yeah yeah that's not hiding my wife's day yeah you know she gets all into this parade and I'm like I want to go do other things yeah I mean it's on yeah my wife's the same way too she's like oh we got to watch the parade do this and I'll I'll float in and out because it usually will host yeah float with the floats on the TV you're floating you're floating around there because usually we host Thanksgiving so you know you're getting everything ready in the morning okay then okay parade comes on and then okay you're floating in and out you're in the kitchen you're getting stuff ready you're cleaning up stuff okay you'll pop in it's like oh there's Snoopy okay and then I come back in but even over the past few years I know we watched like last year and I mean the

36:42the time you see the floats is minimal it's all the it's all the acts and stuff and it's all the limp synced yeah yeah it's that stuff it's like whatever like I want to see the flow is it like the high school bands that they pick throughout the nation coming in perform they usually this is their one opportunity to really like shine and they really do a good job yeah yeah yeah yeah I do like that part of it yeah then you got to you got to see Santa at the end you know for the official kickoff of the holidays we're here ready I know I know we say we need October now what we're talking about Thanksgiving Christmas I mean it's right around the corner now I mean the we got the the pools all all closed up today it's all done summer is you know it is done that's it I mean it's sad you know the leaves are falling now

37:44I got to deal with all that stuff I mean you're still in that point now where the weather's still back and forth we had the cold days last week and then today's warm so you're still in that back and forth time but soon enough they'll flip the switch yeah and then I'll be that cold especially what we're talking about yeah especially right after Halloween you know once the time changes and it's and start at 4.30 in the afternoon you're like I mean even at this point now it's start at like seven and I'm like it's eight o'clock then I'm like I'm ready to go to bed and I know I know you're the same way too I know I'm like I'm like it's the other night I was I was doing stuff and I think I was putting together some some podcasts some clips and stuff to post and I get it done it's like 8.30 I'm like okay it's got to be like 10.30 my now I'm like I was 8.30 I'm like should I just go to bed now what what what am I gonna do for the next couple hours

38:44so what do I do yeah it's like that here it's like so not as many chores to go on around because it's cooler so you're not over exerting yourself you're not sweating getting tired taking breaks and stuff so you're getting more more stuff done in a shorter period of time and then it's like well it's early what we do now we'll just sit on the porch and listen to some 70s or 80s rock and yeah straight on a few and yeah just watch the taking the the sights and relax a bit yeah I got a brand new flagpole I put up and man it's like watching the chickens out in the front yard wind blown the flag is you know it's simple the simple life yeah America right

39:46and you know 15 20 years ago I would have been bored out of my mind wanting to go run around or it up to something yeah we're going to the bar we're neighborhood bars and stuff like that um actually my wife and I today had my doctor appointment so we were in the big city and um I did the old trick a good place to eat in in the city and I put you know a lizard with town Kentucky and the very first option is the one you're supposed to choose and go to so so it's actually a really good choice um the place was called up house and I don't know if I can get that to come here okay yes see it yep yep okay so it's a brewery okay and they had great food um I got one they had probably 25 beers to choose from on tap ranging from logger to you know

40:58uh this is their version of the the Guinness okay yeah look similar yeah really unique names for but it was really creamy and smooth and um we were there for happy hour so it was like half price yeah and I wanted more but I was driving so I restrain myself yeah all right my wife got their signature burger and um I got a rubin um it's hard to place that makes it good rubin yeah just period they you know they don't put in the effort to try to cook the corn beef and you know so just see that in the menu I got really excited and um we both got the sweet potato fries fantastic meal fantastic okay okay fantastic place uh hub house Elizabeth Town Kentucky there's your shout out for the oh but yeah we enjoyed ourselves and they had an arcade in the front

42:01uh they had probably ten pinball machines uh miss pappie machine area 51 oh wow yeah that's the problem yeah then they had another console that was over there that had multiple different classic games on it um I knew if I started playing pinball machines uh we could not be getting out there you still be there right now you he's in for the long haul you put roadhouse front the pinball machine and it's it's game over right there yeah yeah that was our day today was uh it was nice to have uh spent down there uh during a week like we did enjoyed ourselves that's good that's good see then you get to to come back it and relax and then

43:09put your put your lab going on and get your uh mixology hat on to to get this going here now oh so uh been on the search for Keystone Ice okay all right uh while we were in and I hit three or four spots and no dice no dice so we were out to the liquor barn in Elizabeth Town and I go in there and I'm thinking I'm I think I'm going to get lucky on this one because when I walked in there was hams there was you know rolling rock there was just stuff that you normally don't see so I'm getting kind of like anxious as I'm walking down the house and um I'm standing there there's natural ice there's uh bush ice there's you know 12 packs 30 packs and the lady that runs the beer department in that store was standing there and she goes can
