2:02Is winning considered the only success? And we'll get to App State. Can they take down the Wolfpack? But we're going to have a sip of, again, not Creek 12 year cast strength. This is by far so far the best product that Jim Beams put out less than a hundred bucks. And I have two days off. So we're not going anywhere anymore. So I'm good to go. All right, can App State take down NC State? All right, so no doubt I'm a Sunbelt Homer and I can appreciate that fact. All right, and I know you can appreciate that fact because I get called out for it all this time. So I'm not going to get wrapped up in boy Marshall can be Penn State. Yeah, that wasn't close. I think that Georgia State ballgame was much closer than the UCF fans would like to admit, but they did lose by a 14 points. It's not like they didn't have a chance to tie the ballgame up after it went 3427, but they did have a chance to take control of that ballgame and they did not.

3:04And remember, for the three and a half hour delay that App State had again, Charlotte, they were both doing it. And I know there was weather and everything like that. But App State still beat maybe the worst team in FPS 2621. So there's that. So I'm not going to get all wrapped up into this. I'll be honest with you, this one is more about North Carolina State than App State. Again, North Carolina State played a great football game for about 50 minutes. Forget about the last six seconds. They played a really good football game and was dominating Vanderbilt from about 45, 50 minutes. And then they melted down and they couldn't stop. You know, I talk about spiraling out of control. That spiraled out of control all the way into the end, although they did. I think they intercepted the ball and sealed the victory and then they sealed the blow it. So this is more about this is more about NC State than App State because if they come out floppy, if they come out non-motivated, if they still thinking about last week's ballgame,

4:06yeah, App State has a shot. All right, they do because App State's going to be geeked up. App State's the one that's three and a half. App State's the one that's looking to build the second year in dialogue and NC State, you know, the players don't want this. I don't think certainly the fans do. They are done with Dave during the head coach of NC State. All right. There was somebody I don't know if you saw it on social media calling John Fanta. He was in a calling from a port of potty from a wedding. And then he was saying this is the most NC State thing that ever has happened to NC State. And they're just ready to move on from the current administration. So wouldn't be surprising that you get some NC State fans not only at disappointed in losing to App State. Like that'll be the final straw, right? Like if they lose to App State as a two touchdown favorite at home, I don't think Dave Durin's making it to Sunday.

5:07That conversation's going to be done very early on. What time is the ball game? It's at night. It is on ESPNU at 730 at night. So it still may not make it to Sunday. We may not find out about it till Sunday. But if somehow App State pulls this off, that's the end of the NC State coaching deal for the media future. But thanks, so that would be the end of Dave Durin after what happened against Vanderbilt and what happened against App State. All right. I can't get caught up in what happened the last 10 minutes because NC State's pretty good. All right. For all intents and purposes, they may not be top 25 good as they got embarrassed by Virginia. And again, they were beating Vanderbilt pretty good, right? And a hammered Richmond 73 to nothing. I can't take anything from that because my orange beat New Hampshire 63 to three.

6:08So there's nothing, nothing big there. But when did Vanderbilt start coming back? Because it's 24 to seven with nine minutes left to go in the third quarter. So that's about the 35 minute mark, all right? NC State scored a touchdown after two Vanderbilt touchdowns. Go up by 10, 31, 21 with nine, 35 left to go. And I don't know if they had a third down, they had one third down, they had two third down, they converted a couple of third downs. But on a long drive, they only had two third downs. They got a 23 yard touchdown pass, all right? Now they got an interception and they obviously fumbled in the end zone, all right? But so I'm not going to go crazy on is abstract going to win this walk in my understanding is

7:13it's the most expensive ticket that NC State has left on their stadium and their home schedule. It is it is a sell out or close to being sold out, right? You got to figure that's got to be you know, Charlotte and Raleigh, you got to be the two major spots where app stayed alumni go right if they're staying in state outside of staying in Boone or in the mountains in Western Carolina compared to going in the other direction. So this is a huge ball game. Again, bigger, honestly, for NC State, that is for app state, big ball game, big opportunity for app state. Don't kid yourself. Coastal Carolina can take care of business against Liberty and an app state can take care of business against NC State, ones on ESPN, ones on ESPNU, that's a good weekend for the Sunbelt much better weekend than it was last weekend when the Sunbelt gave a bunch of games away that they should have won against either lesser pose in the G6 or maybe upsetting

10:18All right, Dave Schultz, lock down, Sunbelt, your teams every day, more Knob Creek 12-year cast strength. It's really good. Really good. All right. I was asked by Parker Eansworth from Lockdown Cougs, what does success look like for Georgia Southern? All right. It's winning the only measure of success. It is for Houston. Don't kid yourself. And probably for NC State. But not for Georgia Southern, right there in 18.00 dog at home. They want to win, but what they did last week and what we've seen from Georgia Southern so far, if they compete into the fourth quarter, that's kind of what you want. I want to see App State compete for that 60 minutes. I want Stanford, Steve, after the ball game, just like he said about the Cajans, came to Southern California and competed to play all 60 minutes. That's why I want to see for App State.

11:19Don't want to see this game spiral out of control. I think that would be the big thing if I'm a little bit too concerned from Dalell Lungans that his guys are too geeked up, right? Whereas we got NC State just kind of walking through the motions, not motivated, still thinking about last week. And you got the total opposite where, you know, Malik I singleton is overshooting wide receivers because the adrenaline is pumped, all right? And you got all day to deal with it too. That again, those 730 stars are tough on everybody, all right? And the fans are going to be all lathered up. But I don't think winning is the only success for App State. This is about, I mean, big picture, you know, you, again, you being NC State on the road, you're going to start getting top 25 votes as a 4-0 team, all right? You're going to start people are going to start talking about, could have state run the table and get into the college football playoff until you lose, right? And you got something that Jamie doesn't have, which would be a power for with, all right?

12:20Although not that great of a power for a team, it's still a power for with. Nonetheless, the goal is going to be when that Sunbelt Championship game and content, well, contend in the East and try to get to that Sunbelt Championship game. And if you can compete against NC State for 60 minutes, there's no reason why you can't do it against the Sunbelt East. That's the way I'm going to be looking at it. Can App State play that 60-minute ball game? And I don't buy the whole, we heard this from Billy and Ape, you know, we haven't played a complete ball game yet, right? Which is ridiculous because the other team is trying to play the complete ball game too, right? So that's very tough. You hit that a lot with coaches. If we do us, then we'll be fine. Well, isn't the other team saying the same thing, right? Like I'm sure Donald Luggen says, you know, if we play our game, we can beat NC State. Well, NC State would tell you, we don't have to play our game and we can probably beat

13:20App State, all right? They should be bigger, faster, stronger. That's the level of football we're talking about, right? And so it is, I find it funny that teams say that, all right? So I don't mean to play, you know, I dominate it for 60 minutes. All the coaches would love to do that. When everything is working, kind of like last year's ODE, you bought tech ball game where it just kept on, they kept on scoring points and they kept on turning, bought tech over and they kept on scoring points. You just wanted to spar a lot of control if you do have that turnover and it turns into a score. Settle down, either flip the field at the very least or go back and get a score. You got to take advantage of their mistakes because they'll probably have some mistakes, all right? They're not going to respect App State. That's the thing. NC State isn't going to respect App State one, Ayoda. And App State's got to know that they're there and they're going to be playing for 60 minutes because if this game is a one score game and half time,

14:21the boom words are coming out. If this game is 17, 14, 17, 10, I don't even care if NC State scores a touchdown at the end of half. The boom words are going to be out. If this is a one score ball game heading into half time, it's going to get down to the fourth quarter and it's a one score ball game, they're really going to hear it. So this is not going to be a fun home game for NC State and that's where maybe App State can take advantage and stay in the ball game for as long as possible and we'll see if App State wears down, we've seen right, App State going to an M and take down the Aggies. We've seen Marshall go into Notre Dame and take down the Irish. We've seen Georgia's Southern go into Lincoln and take down the court Oscars. So maybe they don't wear down and maybe NC State just in the town says we're done. We'll see. But I just want to see NC State compete for 60 minutes. They may lose by a couple of scores, but let's see them compete for 60 minutes and then

15:21take that into the sunbelt where the level of talent is not going to be nearly as separated as it will be this weekend. All right. Does mean I have to say can't win just the talent level is going to be a little bit different on NC State than it is on F state. Again, upsets happen all the time. Probably we'll put a little bit on Kelsey for App State to win because it's only like a 17% chance that App State is going to win. All right. Thanks so much for tuning in.
