Anti-Israel protests set for anniversary of deadly Oct 7 terrorist attack

As the first anniversary of the deadly Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel approaches, a Montreal-based anti-Israel group plans to hold a rally outside the Israeli consulate in Canada to celebrate the “martyrs” of Hamas, the terrorist group who led the attack. Plus, the Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association has been demoted from its key role as a “participant” to a “consultant” in the federal government’s firearms buyback program after criticizing the Liberals’ approach to gun confiscation. And a coalition of disability rights organizations has launched a Charter challenge against the federal government in Ontario’s Superior Court over a section of Canada’s assisted suicide law.
