Anaheim Ducks Honor Women in Sports

The Anaheim Ducks celebrated International Women's Day with a special pre-game ceremony before their match-up against the St. Louis Blues at Honda, Center on Sunday. This event wrapped up the team's fourth annual Women in Sports Weekend, highlighting women making big strides in hockey. The series included Olympic gold medalist Casey Bellamy, NHL executive Kim Davis, two time Olympian and U.S. under 18 women's national team coach, Courtney Kennedy, and Mighty Ducks actress Marguerite Moreau. At Center Ice, Ducks Captain, Rad Cogutas, and Blues Captain Robert Thomas joined the women for the ceremonial face-off. The weekend also featured a beginner hockey cam, led by Bellamy and Kennedy, plus free tri-hockey sessions to get more people into the sport.
