About this episode
The WNBA season is heating up — and Week 2 brought drama, dominance, and plenty of surprises. From the Aces' shocking blowout loss and questions surrounding Becky Hammon’s system, to Kelsey Plum’s career-best start with the Sparks — including a potential revenge game against Vegas — no team is safe from scrutiny. Jordan and Sheryl spotlight the Washington Mystics’ impressive rookie duo Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, ask what’s really going wrong in Chicago. Plus, we break down Nneka Ogwumike’s all-time performance in Seattle and why the Storm might be this year’s surprise contender. And in our Hoop Roots segment, Jordan takes us back to the days of “Newcomer of the Year” and why it might be time to bring that award back. Finally, we’re Sending Flowers — giving love to the players, stories, and moments that moved us most this week.
