It's 50% Scottish, 50% Italian, but 100% of Franco Smith's acrolyte. It's Ethan. Good evening. North of Ireland, Northern Ireland, or just Ireland. It doesn't care which way you put it. If you're nice to him, it's nice to you.
It's our local MMO-guarra, a doppelganger. It's Irish. Wow, that was, I tell you what, that's some pull from you, Muhammad Ferre. That's a good fast ball game right there. Thank you. Ferre, it's all right. Thank you. Thank you Instagram for that insight. And also joining us for the first time on the Yorsey rewind. He's on the really Australia now. He supports, he supports us for his since he's representing Wales. It's Nick. Hello, nice weather. Good evening. Great to have you Nick. Guys will get stuck in. Oh, by the way, I'm, I'm, I'm Zafi Muhammad. And I'm standing in for Welsh you, Griffin, who's on his tag, do in Ireland for some reason, or went and watched a month's versus bulls, and they made him wear a scum cap and a England shirt. So it's definitely a stack. Yeah, I'm going to pick it up, which, yeah.
We'll find out what he thought about that next week. Yeah, I look forward to that. Yeah, it's weird. It's really interesting to do that. I don't even go out of the thing and go to like Greece and fight police person. You know, maybe that's not his thing. Guys, first, first game to look at this week. Ethan, we need to give Irnberg the, the flowers, the beat, stormers in Scotland. And they seem to adjust to the conditions way better than the stormers. Yeah, it was. I'm pretty sure somebody told me that the stormers have yet to actually win in Scotland. I don't know how true that is, but it doesn't sound true. But then I feel like it is true. I'm happy to believe it's true. I will take that 100% record over the stormers in the in Scotland. But yeah, it was a great result for Edinburgh after a really different type of performance.
I felt in that sure they got last week against Ulster. It was a really good first half. It was them just being able to hold on. Whereas in this game, it was them kind of chasing the stormers for a lot of that game. But Manning, just doing to hang on and just doing just enough to pull through in the last sort of like the last quarter of the game. It wasn't a really, again, it's your regular Edinburgh kind of depleted by injuries. Obviously, the stormers were without quite a lot of players due to, you know, is it still the rugby championship this year? Or is it kind of the the makeup games for the rugby championship due to the greats rivalry? So we'll put an asterisk next to the rugby championship there, which I felt the stormers did quite well. That was it. Armoured. The fly off. Yeah, Keen Armoured, yeah, very young. Yeah, I mean, I thought he had quite a good game for his bachelor for somebody quite young.
And it must be quite hard for him that obviously if you've got Sasha in front of him, you know, this is the spotlight on him. And I thought he did quite a good, good showing there. Colise was quite quiet. I felt it was quite hard to recognize Colise because he didn't have because he's shaved his head. He's built a JGP. Which is to shame that, you know, for him first, first came back for the stormers. Didn't really click as well as he wanted to. But I'd imagine no for him, it's settling back, but for Edinburgh, four boy, that was a bit shaky at times. I've really good promise and tack in the first half, especially. The Bradbury almost tried was a bit of a straighting one that he had a double movement. Or when Edinburgh was on the stormers, like five meters for several phases. And I was just one of those ones. If he just kept it going for a few more phases, Edinburgh would have scored. But I mean, I still did enough at the end.
Jerry Bifle-Affity, though, had an incredible game from the bench. He's a brother of Ollie Bifle-Affity, if you didn't know, the nice double barrel surname. Who's currently always kind of being touted as the success of his underfagus. And at the moment, despite being about 20, because he capped in the under 20s this year. But Jerry, no, he had a fantastic game off the bench, because one of the many reoccurring themes for the stormers this game was a really poor line out that Edinburgh managed just completely capitalise on that. Jerry, I think we were talking about it and there would be a realm that I'm sure the stormers lost 10 line outs and seven of them were steals, which is a really pure statistic for for any team really. It was one of those games were basically the stormers dominated at the scrum. And then they won apparently kicked for the line out, but Edinburgh won the line out.
And then it kind of just repeating itself further down the field. But did you were able to catch much of it, Mohammed? Yeah, I was watching it quite attentively. I felt like Vernon Paolo, who had just signed to the stormers from the cheaters, had a good debut, played very little in the first game of the season. But went on to score a try through a mall look is a talented player. He just didn't adapt to the conditions here is generally quite solid for the cheaters in terms of line afterering, but I think maybe like the wind and like the occasion. Also, he was on quite quickly because under the roof, I got heard on the 22nd minute. So went off with the HIA initially wanted to obviously stay on. He was bleeding quite profusely. Look, the stormers tried, but they were I wouldn't say they were lucky to win last week. I think they they they show the character and winning last week and across these two get this two game. The same time they probably would want to maybe take two points.
Yeah, that's the problem. The lineup was a complete non-sactive for them. They couldn't get anything done there barely. were hanging, they were just in the game, thanks to the scrum. But the conditions in general on the 4G and yeah, it just wasn't the night. I think Ahmed did OK for starting. They started veteran, Stephen Anger alongside him at 9. I thought the storm might actually win at the end because in a better head, 30 seconds left. But instead of just picking and going, they decided to kick it back to the storm. And I thought, oh, if the storm is like, get a penalty or something, go to the maybe kick or tap and go, maybe even just go for the line-out and see if they could get something to work. Because they do have good locks that could maybe have showed
up the line-out a little better. They felt like look across the team for the stormers. They started, yeah, I felt the same. It's exactly like 51 minutes. It wasn't bad. But I forgot at a certain point that it was actually there. They had a few good moments just before he got subbed. I chief idea, I'm happy with the whole game. And school to try sort of like a go-go gadget, Spider-Man type arm. Anger went off, came back on, and then went off again. Andre Verna is the one who went back and forth. They had the Vernon Motongo and Sandy, Sandy, combo on the pitch. They were kind of like a bomb squad type situation. They lab, he's a very interesting talented, Liang Lu's forward. So they went with the six-two split with just Verna and one of the Cilles and Melani, who came on and played quite well, made quite an impact.
Yeah, Lo and now play the whole game. Riley Newton actually played from lock this week. He was less of a factor. I think he played, I think it was more impactful last week when he played on the side of the scrum. And then like the whole, the front row, Mchuno and Nathan Pache came off at the 50 second minute. Nick, you're neutral thoughts on this game. If you were able to watch it? I didn't watch it. I was watching the card of the game, everything was on the same time. But I had picked up that stat about line-outs, and that is unbelievably low. Even if the line-outs not functioning brilliant, you would still expect to get 80% round about that. But anything low on that is for a professional team, is very poor. Adam, you're placing Edinburgh fifth on the log. It's starting to feel like a no-stradamus-step situation. Yeah, I must say that my Seabury projections were all perfect.
This week for two, I think. Yeah, for two, I think everything else, right? But by points as well. So yeah, I'm like no-stradamus. I'll show you all the greens. All those greens. So yeah, I'm kind of like no-stradamus at the minute. So I will be doing the lottery soon. But yeah, Edinburgh winning this game is a very, it's almost like solidifying what they did in Belfast last week. And it sort of made me feel a little bit better if you can even call it that. Especially when you have the likes of, I miss this game, so I was watching the Connitre Vizogame, the beat of the Ur-C Friday night games. There's always three at one time. But it's one of those that I'm going to keep a very close eye on Edinburgh. Because as we said, it's a tight enough table. It's something round two. We need to really start looking at these type of teams to be like, you know, are Edinburgh going to be the new carder
for they're going to be like near enough top by December and then sort of whittled away and still be that in that eighth position? So it's really interesting. And the league is pretty in for that in that sense. Yeah. Before I go to Ethan for the loss, I will say, Stormers are a very good team. I think getting a point here is solid. They could have gotten more, but it's not a disaster. Considering the tour and the players they got that hurt last week before even that game, I still think Stormers are fairly days. It's weeks two. So we can't read too much into their performance as it relates to this. Ethan, could you give, especially from a certain perspective, could you give us a bit more insight into what has actually changed with Sean Eberritz coaching staff between last season and the season? So he's replaced his attack coach to defense coach. And I think one of the physio people with Australians
and that's pretty much it. So the attack coach was, I always get the names mixed up. It's really annoying. I think Brad Davis, I'm sure, is the attack coach and he was with the duo which you can kind of see in how Edden was playing that they're off-loading a lot more and they are off-loading a lot faster as well, which was one of my criticisms from last season. I can't really remember what the defense coach was. I should really know this and that's a really annoying thing. It's like for the whole summer in the Gutsch app, we were chatting about all these coaching appointments and they're like, oh yeah, this looks interesting and stuff. And then the one time I'm put on the spot and having to remember what they're actually called. But the biggest takeaway in the coaching setup is that Sean Everett's not actually coaching as much. He's kind of now the director of rugby, which seems to be paying off. Because I think he's just that type of guy that he's good at the background sort of elements
and that the player managing and stuff like that. Because Sean Everett seems like actually a really nice guy. It's just a shame for the last two seasons it wasn't really clicking. So we've got Steve Laurie, who's still the forward coach. Then Michael Todd, who I can't remember where he was, then I was Scott Matthew for Attack Coach and he was, oh wait, no, I think this is the old one. I completely ignore that. Yeah, because Scott Matthews at the end of it now, getting some much needed 10. Yeah. Gosh, this is the professionalism you get in a five day time. Oh, Kailan, Kailan, or call it the one that's a YouTube. Yeah, there we go. Tim Samson, he's the attack coach and he's the juer. Michael Hodge, who was previously working with the under 20s in Ireland. And then Brad Davis is the defense coach. So they were all kind of David Nussafora picks
that funnel enough they're all Australian. If you're an Australian coach, Nussafora probably, he's got like a telepathic link. He's like Charles Xavier, he's like, I'm in your head. I know where you are. I know what you're doing. Get your hands. If you go anywhere near Josh Smith, I eat an assortment of golf. Yeah. But what's Michael it? I mean, Fred, I think this type of win is really what they've needed. A win rather than kind of clinging on in freefall. It was one that they were able actually to build themselves up and get into the game and steal the leads. That, you know how we talked about that 60-minute collapse that's been a really persistent problem for anyone. This was probably the best 60-minute period that they played in a very long time. That's sure they had a yellow card. They conceded a try. What it didn't see anywhere near as panic load as before. So hopefully, Ed was able to build on that and this is given them a confidence
going into the next round of the UFC. Yeah, because I mean, a lot of teams won two games. Most of those teams played two home games with it worth noting that Ed and I have played a way to Ulster last week and got the victory. Although there was a lot of fallouts from that Ed and because of how many players were unavailable, even though they played like three seconds for the Irish over the whole season. So we'll get that. In fact, let's let's segue to Ethan's Glasgow hosting their Edm's Ulster in a podcast, Darby and it finished on his even Edm. Handshake agreement just to share the points. What's going on? It's a species. It's very suspicious. There was a couple of moments that I thought that like we played like to preface this. We played Weber than we did last week. We had a couple of players come back. We had the likes of
Juana and Gustafs being back. Both Ward brothers starting. You know, it was a, you know, we had Knox starting as well, which is new. You know, Matthew Devine starting as well, making his first art for Ulster in a, like a URC match. And I think that proved all the difference in terms of I feel like our first four minutes. I think Bryn Ward scored the first try. I thought, okay, right? You know, this is Ulster. We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna take a couple of punches now. We're gonna surely take a couple of punches. But I think it was straight after it wasn't exactly it was Josh, Josh McKay, Scorch and I was like, right, typical Glasgow. But then it was at the very start of the match when I noticed that it was when Jacob Stockton went injured. He was injured in the warm up. So Ethan McElroy went from 13 to fall back. And we drafted in Ben Carson up at the top.
But I thought that Ethan McElroy possibly played one of his best games for Ulster. And he's finding a really good run of form. It's really, it's really frustrating because I felt like where you would have told me at the very start of the day, you could have told me, right? You're gonna get a draw. You're gonna get three points against Glasgow. You're gonna probably play some of the best trick that you've played in a good while. Like, you know, I'm involving the challenge cup final in that. But you are going to lose it against what, 13 men by the end of it. I just felt like it's almost like a game that we sort of, we drew, yes, but it's almost like a Glasgow win in that sense because I felt like we should have won that. Like we definitely, we should have won that. We both missed conversions. So both teams had chances to in theory win it by two points. But I feel like it was just an absolute mammoth battle.
I felt that the scrums were really solid from both teams. I felt like the lineouts were a bit skewer for both teams. I think that's fair to say. I think that there's a lot of help needed for both teams in terms of like where they're set pieces out, especially in the lineouts. But I thought the scrums were solid. I thought the likes of Chey Mullins going over for his first try. That was really good. We saw the speed. I thought he was particularly good in that first half. Jack Murphy, as well, I said last week on the podcast that Jack Murphy looked a bit shaky last week. Compared to this week, I thought that he paid back to his best. It's good to really well taken try. And then we brought on Huanau and Augusta. This is what we brought on, sort of like our theory. In theory, not all at the same time, but our in theory, bomb squad of Nathan Doke coming on. And the likes of Dallow, the new Donald
and Ballow coming on as well. It is really nice to have big strength coming off the bench like that. But I thought that Augusta's coming on really made the difference. And I would have liked to see him seen him a little bit earlier. But I didn't think we were exactly bullied off the ball a lot as much as we were against Adam Bra. I thought that our rock speed and our rock retention was pretty good. But I honestly thought that it was sort of towards the last bit. It's when Zach Ward got bundled out. And he knew me just really get bundled out is a big savants player. Then I thought, I think we left it out there. We definitely left something out there. But in reality, we're sitting now on the table with five points. And that's in theory. If we would have got a bonus point last week and lost this week or vice versa, it looks like a bonus point win. And I guess that's the benefit of that is that we technically point-wise, I didn't know it's not the same.
But in table fashion, we're up a win all of it almost. It's making that weird connection. But yeah, it's like a discipline for both teams as well. Glasgow really surprised me. I felt like the referee was pinging them for absolutely everything in the first half. And I felt like then he sort of shuffled onto Ulster. Dan Lancaster had that yellow card. Then we had a double yellow essentially within two minutes. And then the referee decided, oh no, you know, you know, I'm not going to let the yellow cards rest. And they need double yellow. Well, it was essentially like a double yellow as well. Two Glasgow players. And that just swung. It just kept on swinging. But I felt Glasgow were very good at the very end, to, you know, they were very good towards that end period, and actually shutting Ulster off in terms of we were looking very good in the attack, but use sort of the Glasgow blitzed up in forms
that I thought was really good. George Horn at the very end with that last kick. I almost knew that it was just flying out when we were looking on the TV. Would that be like, I would sort of class as a Glasgow steal if they would have won that? I thought though, you know, I think, you know, giving bias and being an Ulster fan, I thought we were the better team. And I thought that Glasgow with Ethan would you call that as close to full strength? No, like, it's a, we would be missing stain, Zander figures and I'm just, I think, who are, oh, Rory, Silverland. Oh, yeah, of course, former Ulster boy. For most of them. I'm just gonna thank you, Elk, we would have been missing. Um, you could probably, yeah, I mean, I think that would probably be the main picks and then obviously depending how you set up the bench, like, the origin start, but a decent probably about 70%,
70, 80%. And I'd say that Ulster were probably borderline that 70% in themselves as well. And the fact that, you know, James McKillip had a very good game. He made, um, he was there as well. I thought that Kormack is a chukro and Eli Snimon was a very good second row partnership, but it was almost like we were doing the first of what we did last week and that we were trying to match them strengths for strength in terms of that forward pack. Um, Tom Sturping back also benefited us massively, um, as well. Um, and also a player that I've been looking at as well. Jamie Benson, um, just, he doesn't look that big, but it seems really difficult to put him down, um, you know, a fly half by trade, but he certainly bashes up like he, he's not afraid of getting into contacts. And that's what I want to see out of him. Ethan, um, not full strength, but pretty good team. Jamie, don't be played the whole game and score the try playing
fantastic since Franco Smith gave him a sock and now he's free. Yeah, I was, I was again, it's like, I still don't really know what to make of this game like yourself, Adam and that in the ways I feel like Glasgow probably should have won that time. So you know, we missed a conversion, we missed two penalties. That if we'd got any of those, that would have been a win. If we'd got all three of them, that would have denied. I'll start at bonus point. Um, the discipline was just really pure. So the highlight to me was George Horn in that in the near the end of the first half. I can't remember how we won the initial penalty. It must have been like, I get turn over pain or something to do with the rock. And then basically he got the ball and just ran them way through it. I think it was, was it Tom O'Tool? No, it wasn't. It was Stuart Moses. Yes, yeah. And it was just completely pointless that we were like, we don't know what was
gone. It was one of those things. It's like, we talked about it. Fine. I've got on the rugby realm where it's like, you can't be doing that. That we get, you know, you get frustrated. You know, George had a tough game. You know, we all do stupid things now. And then it's just one of those things you just need to take a deep breath and just focus yourself and not throw the ball at somebody. And because he's 31. And yeah, it's just one of the things. And that basically then went to that penalty being reversed and then ulcer score try immediately after that penalty. And he did redeem himself because there was a moment in the second half where he did a quick tap. I did an up and under. And despite being ankle tapped at the very beginning of that movement, he then effectively forced a five meter scrum. Purely from that. And yeah, that was fair play, George, but it was just one of those ones that. It's just. Frank would probably be a bit happy that it wasn't a full on loss.
He says it feels like a loss. And I think that's what Glasgow needs to be have the emotional. Downside of a loss, but not the points. Downside of a loss for him to basically like guys, you know, get your act together, shake it off, move on. You know, we need to be better. Okay. So yeah, that's the podcast, Darby. Glasgow versus Alster. Insana draw, but everyone seems happy. Nick, you must be happy because kind of validating my pick is the highest finishing or early days anyway, Welsh team. As they defeated the Quahapama as we say in South Africa, it's another way of saying Zeynbray. Yeah. And now there are nine points second on the log behind my shocks. Perhaps happy start quite the word I'd use. But and fairness to Cardiff, you know, two games, one of those games away from home.
They've got nine points as you quite rightly say in two wins. Yeah, when he plays at the Zeynbray home, it's a little bit of a no win situation. Everybody expects to win and everybody expects to win. Well, and in the first half, that's the way it was looking very much. Cardiff goes in good tries. They kick a lot of Cardiff to and then they look to exploit from the turnover ball. Teddy Williams coming back to Cardiff and, you know, is a really good ball hand to mean second row. And he makes a difference. Cardiff has always put out a very good back row and they were to the fore. But I'm sure there'd be slightly disappointed with the second half performance. And actually Zeynbray actually won the second half, scoring three tries to two. So yeah, they've got the five points. It's in the bag, move on. And obviously I don't really think you can say much more about it.
Zeynbrer social spirits in the first half, I honestly thought it's going to be, you know, a 50, 60 pointer. But they came back in the second half and scored some good tries of their own in fairness. So yeah, it's one of those games where you're damned if you do any damned if you don't, but fair play to Cardiff at the moment. They're looking certainly the strongest Welsh team. Nick, you give me some insight into the room. I land's adaptation to Welsh rugby. He played the full game at outside centre, played well for the sharks last season. I'm skeptical of players when they joined from the MLS, but to his credit, he actually equated himself quite well that the sharks and then immediately departed for Cardiff. Yeah, I think he's been a good asset for them. He's direct as many South African centres are. And possibly that's what they lacked a little bit in the centre partnership they had. Good players, they'll be out individually. I think he brings a different aspect to the game. Yeah, so I think he's adapted very well. Obviously he's got your own ball down there.
He's a very good scum half. Can I just also give a shout out to a young man you might hear about in the future called Tom Howe. He's an under 18, 18. He just finished his school. He's 18 years old. One of the better players of Wales and 20s, World Cup. And he made his debut as well. And I think you'll hear more of Tom Howe in the future. Ciao, Ethan. Are you covering the Scotch Italia conference thoughts on zebra? It happened. No, what was the score? It was like, was it not like 48 to, I can't really remember. I feel really bad. No, 40 to 27. 48, 27. Right. Was it a bonus point for a zebra? Yes. They got four or five. Yeah, four tries. Yeah, because I feel like zebra is one of those teams in either,
and either they're so like flip floppy in that either they will run you quite close, that they still won't win, but they'll put a surprisingly decent performance and or they just get completely flipped over and just concede every single thing. And it's really frustrating because nothing seems to change for a zebra that the only thing that changes is that those players will move on to Benet and and they're banning this house exact same problems. And then those players then move on to one where they don't have those problems. So it's because for us, Frank was my junior at zebra. No, thank you. It was just Benet and we're going to talk about that in a moment here. Frank was smooth. Oh, it's not a Frankus Matrune was at Benet, but now he's at the Cheetahs. John Smith, the younger brother, he's at Benet and I will note also that on the Benet team,
Tomas O'Ellen is back to Tomas O'Ellen, no more Tom Ellen. And the recent acquisition of outside center, Zane Bester from Rikos from Karekab, double Karekab back to back Karekab winning Rikos, he has not yet made his debut, but speaking of Benet, Benet, took on Kaelon's Conacht, secret monster support, Kaelon. He's, you can't reveal behind the curtain like that. Oh my God. Oh my God. Kaelon's team went to Italy, enjoy the pasta and came away with the five points. Yeah. This is a really, this is like almost like how it expects Conant to play given their forum last season towards the end, you know, scary Conant. No, they're winning again. It's one of those games that I was watching quite closely because I was really interested to see as every Irish fan was interested to see how Karen Frolly did at 10 for Conant.
Making his debut and he's still in on the URC website, he still has his lens to get on, which I find, you know, surely if you're a Conant fan, you'd be raging at that. I almost sort of rage myself and I'm not even a Conant fan. I'll ask Kaelon on the interpro show tomorrow night how he feels about that. But yeah, I thought that Conant played a really good game. It was like sort of like a game that was almost all all played at the first half and the second half was sort of like a stalemate in terms of like it was a try for a try. You know, Karen Frolly went over in the last minute to score a, like a de facto last minute try, essentially. He scored twice in his debut. I thought it was really interesting for Conant's sake, the fact that Sam Gilbert was taking the conversions and not Karen Frolly. That was the one that I was sort of scratching my head about because given that Sam Gilbert is a very good conversion kicker, but he missed three out of the four conversions.
You know, that scoreline could have looked a lot nicer in Conant's sake. If there were, you know, if you were to make conversions. But yeah, I thought that Conant played brilliantly. I thought that there was moments in the game where I almost thought that they could throw it. Finley Beelam's shoulder to head, you know, questionable, not that it's questionable. It went to review and it was kept as a yellow. I agree with that. But Samilo, come on. I'm a big fan of Samilo. Like a master fan of Samilo. I think he's going to do really good things. And he did do very good things when he came on for those 10 minutes. Joshua, only came on at 13. I thought he was really good at 13. I thought I was really good in center. I'm quite, I'm quite a Joshua, only fan. When it comes to, like, I, I almost thought that last season he showed what he's worth in terms of, I think he's got a Mario Black cap or two or three.
You can remind me in the comments. If he does, but he came on and really that back I was an electric. I thought that Mac Hansen coming back is really helps this Conant team as well. It's really interested to see Mac Hansen in a Stuart line cast or lineup because it's almost like what Lenscher are doing as well. It's sort of like similar ish tactics. But you would have that with a, you know, former Lenscher 10. Their front, their pack, fronted up well against Treviso as well. I thought the likes of their new loose head Frances Fanwick. And he, there was a moment where Ferrari certainly had his number a few times in the Scrum, but I think it just showed that Ferrari's, you know, class and technical ability, especially in that Scrum as to when he came off in George. That's when Conant just started to have a thought hold back in it again. And the likes of Billy Bowen came on.
But it seems like Conant are starting to be that, you know, scary Conant again. But as I said last season on the United Rugby rewind and the interpros show that I think it was their first win in four years against Treviso. That's a pretty big scab to take in terms of, you know, when you look at, especially in the end of the season, if you're looking for top eight, you need to get some of the, you need to one, get your wins at home and two go for the wins where you can away. And I felt that Conant certainly did that. And Fraali, it was almost like he played for Conant for, you know, three or four odd years. Nevermind his first game. So I didn't really well with that partnership with Blade, Keir and Pranda Gas as well. I think as a captain, really, I think he sort of marshals around really well. And I thought he was really good over the rucks as well, scoring that first try. But yeah, I think for Conant, I think that, you know, it's the, I'm not exactly sure
who they played next, but I think that for me, it's one of their, what are they playing Glasgow next? No, that's interesting in itself now because I feel like that's really good momentum for Conant, especially because Glasgow, I would say, Ethan, you can probably, you know, correct me if I'm saying, but Glasgow would be ruined the fact that they lost that game, as Ethan said beforehand, but Conant are sort of on that upwards trajectory. Saying that there, I thought Tramizo played really well as well. There was moments where I thought that, as I said, in that yellow card, I thought time for Ari played really well. He's one of those weird players that hasn't actually had the taste of top 14 rugby, even though he's such a top 14 prop. I've never seen such a top 14 prop in the league before. But yeah, it was a really good all-around game. I think that Conant, well, of course, especially getting a bonus point away from the Dexcom, that's going to be really beneficial
in their fight for that top 8. And I can't believe I'm talking with it already, but I feel like after these two rounds, it's starting to get really cramped already. You said you obviously wouldn't be able to watch this game because it was the same time as the Edinburgh stormers game, but you are covering the Scottalia conference. Any thoughts on Benetan as a whole? I see John Smith, who as the shock supporters we were sad to see lose, was on the bench and came onto the first half and went back off. I will also say that Joshua and he scored a great tie last week against the stormers. Yeah, I mean it's one of those ones for Benetan. I mean,
Conor is a great team and they surely had a bit of a not quite a dip, but you know, probably not the way they wanted to see the season out. Last season, obviously we knocked out the quarter finals, which didn't really, you felt they probably deserved a bit more than the quarter finals from how they managed to build from that season. I was at 19-22. So that's, I think Benetan probably are kicking themselves that they could have taken a pretty decent scalp from Conor, because I mean they take Lancers, got last season. You can make the argument, it doesn't really get as big as that in rugby, but it's one of those ones that have been at it and wanting to take the next step. They really do need to try and take someone like Conor, or you know, that's sort of not quite middle tier, but the middle to up tier, that if they can, you know, if they can regularly be,
you know, lends through the little stormers Glasgow, et cetera, that's fantastic, but they really need to build that foundation of being able to beat the other teams that they're competing with to try and get into the top eight. And sure they got, you know, bonus point or two from this one, but they're probably kicking themselves at that, was at home they could have probably should have taken that, because I didn't see the last try, but I'm sure it was Mark who was describing it on rugby realm that they let the ball bounce. Yeah, quite a few. And you shouldn't, you can't let the ball bounce and rugby at all, because that's the thing you never know where the ball's got a bounce. And nine times out of ten, that ball is not bouncing in your favour. I would almost, oh sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, for another Travisa point, I would almost say that Travisa this year, I think compared to last year, you know, this is like their second, like they drew against dragons last week, but I would almost say that this Travisa team is significantly weaker, of course,
than last season, because you know, they're like the loss of like sort of fecatoa and also Manichello Manichello as well, but they are almost playing now with it. They're they're playing in a better sort of position. And that's like almost that Wayne Pivac, I would say effect is starting to creep in in that sense. You know, I thought they're there 10 Jacob and Maga was, I thought he was really good. But it's almost like they're losing a lot of points at the very start of the season at home. And I would say Ethan's like really put it on like a nail in the head there, but I would also preface that with I think that if you know, let's say if Connett made all their kits, kicks, it'd be 28 points. And I'd say that that almost flatters it flatters. Travisa a little bit compared to what was actually played when I actually saw, but yeah, I found it. Yeah, it's travisa or such a weird sort of team. And as you said, there could be lense to one week
and draw against and drag against the next, but there was no sort of like rhythm to us. Yeah, they're very consistently inconsistent. Speaking of consistent inconsistent, Tina's the beer's dragons Nick defeated the real reason why he was not here this evening. You scored it's your thoughts? Yeah, I think the dragons are definitely an improving side. I said they recruited quite sensibly as well. Tia Tia, I think is turning on Deer McLeod, turning into a really good coaching team behind the scenes there with the dragons. They brought more cohesiveness to them and spirit. And what is different, I think this year is certainly into Tivac Vukki. He is powerful running, but also his offloading game. So they're offloading a lot more than they would have done. They had a very powerful driving more last year, and that's not changed. And just as an aside, I don't know if you noticed guys, there's an offload
more tries being scored from driving more this year. I think the referees have been told to interpret the lineup laws slightly different to the more laws set up from those lineouts, not allowing players to swing through and so on. So from the games I've seen, not just in the U.R.C either, it's virtually impossible to stop a well set up more. So I think whoever finishes in the top eight, I put money on one of those teams, Hockers, if they played 14-15 games, being the top try scored of this season. Yeah, 100 percent. Yeah, so Scarlett's got a couple of good tries. I think the Scarlett's recruitment and other things, in fairness to the two West Wailing teams, there's a big, there's a very difficult, there's so much success, there's so much success, there's the Welsh opinion, keep on saying that one of those teams will not exist after next season. So that's a difficult environment to play your best rugby in my opinion.
Partly the Scarlett's problem, which the dragons were able to capitalise on, is their poor strum, and also the fact that discipline's very poor. I heard Nigel Davis, the director, rugby talking about this preseason, but I've not seen any improvements in that effort to fast it. And rugby in some ways is quite a simple game. You've got to have a decent path and you've got to win collisions and if you do that, you put yourself in the game. So all in all, it was a fair result and the game could argue with that. I suppose Scarlett's can be happy. They've got a point out of it. They're talking about as teams to be ready. He forgot that the winger had come in and cleared the ball up and then passed through and when he was still on the floor. And that went into touch and the Scarlett's were quick thinking to the quick line out and Johan Jones went in, which got them the bonus points. Another day that wouldn't have happened. So yeah, obviously the
Scarlett's put a lot of pressure on themselves now. They've played to lost two more of those at home. Dragons, great start, isn't it? For the team who finished 15th last year and 16th the year before, they've had a draw in Benaton and a bonus point went at home. So yeah, so that's my take really the best team one. And don't be surprised either if dragons take a few more scopes, particularly in Rodney parade this season. Interesting. Adam, can we get you on record if the dragons make the URC playoffs? Will you change your social media profiles all to a tennis to be a Minecraft character? I'm not sure what you know about my fascination with tennis to be but this started last season when Ulster plays dragons. And I was fascinated by how such a cube of man could run like that. And I was just obsessed with another still. I think he's I think for a fly half in sort of like a like a classic six sort of mold as a small
small cube, but he could also pass a ball really well. Well, as you said, not for that bonus point try. But yeah, it proves that he's human. But man, I love to just the bear. No, he's easy. He's been a really good asset for the dragons and he typifies the spirit that's there now. I think that's I think that's what I was sort of like from last season from what from watching one game, I'm watching a few games because then my my other my game of the season last season famously was Zebra V dragons and the challenge cup quarter final. Even from that game as well in high impact games, it's like, yeah, there's there's an identity building within the dragons, which I don't remember when I was growing up, of course, in like the pro 12 days, I have our sort of seeing that, but they're sort of building more, I'm sure Nick, you can speak more a little bit more about that, but they're certainly building more of an identity. And now yeah, definitely. They certainly want to be there. Interesting. The the the play you outlined that
carry squad balls playing it at wing. That's a good that's a good acquisition from from the dragons. Scholars are scholars. I'll wait and then jinx it as well as like other sort of random podcasts like the most regional scum of the earth, etc, etc. Yeah,
so if you enjoy the content, please, please like and subscribe. We'll move now on even though the shocks won a lit Adam talk first. Lens to put out an interesting team. I was glad to not see Dan Sheen. My praise was answered. But still the shocks came away with the wind. Yeah, I think, you know, it's really interesting to talk about Lancers because we are sort of in the situation this time last year. We're like, oh, you know, two losses in South Africa. Our Lancaster, our Lancaster, you know, are they going to have a bad season this season and they go on to win the win the league. But I would say in terms of Lens to Lensers form now is that they're in a much better position as they were last year. They haven't been nilled. They're trying a lot of new, they're trying a lot of new sort of combinations and sort of like Casper Gabriel's been sort of tossed into the fire, it's a fire in part with a, you know, you're going to go just say the
Africa straight away and you're going to play the first two games. And I thought he played really well again in the short tank. I did listen to the Sharks fan cast. I forgot it off the top of my head. My ham, I apologize, but I did hear that you were really sad to not see the likes of Max Deegan because of course he jumped in the pool last time. But yeah, I thought that Lens to, of course, like to preface it, they went in with the four four bench. They, you know, they have a lot of forwards missing. Rubby Henshell was the backup back row, which 10 years ago without being unbelievable. But he did, he took the first try. I sort of start up a bit because, of course, I think when they were playing at the same time as we were. So sort of like keeping track of it and then I rewatched it back, I thought that Lens to for parts of the game looked like, you know, they had, they had what it takes to win in Durban. But as I said, I'd say they would
really valued this South Africa tour because, you know, when you look at that Lens to team, when you look at it, for example, they've got the likes of that second row partnership of their second row partnership with Spicer as well. And, you know, Josh Erickson, there's loads of players that they're trying out. Finton Gunn, I know that last year he played, I know that last year he played a lot for Lens to, but Finton Gunn is almost finding a new lease of life in this Lens to squad. He's certainly putting his hand up to be starting in the like, so the Champions Cup, which I'm sure, you know, the guys are from the Lens to love him, which, you know, is a subject, name change because it's not a great name. You've got the likes of Todd Lauder as well, which is also, you know, you've got loads of these players that they're slowly bleeding through from the academy. I'll continue to know of a player that we're on the interproach,
as well. We're already big fans of a really good loose head prop. You know, we had sound proud to guess on the bench as well. You know, you've got a mixture of really experience with, you know, the season, international's. You had Ryan Beard coming back for this as well. It's, you know, he was there last week as well, but I meant like for this tour, I think Josh van De Flier coming back for Lens to, for Lens to losing this compared to last year, I would say that they've got the points in all the right positions. I'd say the only thing that they would probably be disappointed in is not getting the four tri bonus points. But I do think that Lens to, they are building something quite scary. And when they get, when they get that full strength team back, the likes of your Dan Chiains, you know, when it gives in, Park eventually comes back, you know, they've got Hugo Keenan, you know, they've got a lot of players to come back.
They're going to be a really terrifying outfit. But what's even more terrifying is that they still look really good with the likes of Casper Gabriel, who is what his third professional game for Lens to looking quite solid in that 10 position and going, you know, toe to toe with that frankly terrifying sharks forward park, essentially, especially at 10. Now the sharks really loaded up. The springbox played Australia. They played New Zealand that are the rest week. They went to Australia early, then they played Australia. They flew over. JP Peterson says the springbox only trained with them on Thursday. So yeah, they went full bore. Interesting, very young hookers though in the Bay Lele and even best. Yeah, but Thomas the story starts at Lucid, did quite well. A lawn science wasn't hot on the other side. I tied it. Jenkins thought they're in Lens, but played the whole game. Fantastic
acquisition since he arrived from the from the lines, really sort of runs the line out. The sort of Luce trio combo of people super delisie, manager, to play the whole game. It was interesting, the the sharks sort of played less, less expensive than last week. But and despite getting so many springbox together, they still lints to definitely started the game better. I was deeply disappointed that Lens is scored late to then attain a losing bonus point. So over this tall Lens, they've got two points last week and one point. So three points are a possible 10. Not so bad, but like I said to hey, shout out to to Lens is supporting David. Unlike a city him, these are the points Lens, then Glasgow used late in the season to then top the log. So from a sharks perspective, stoked that we won. Now the five points were top of the log, but it's early days to keep up how they drive. We've got a very tough game next week against the stormers in Cape Town. Hopefully
I'll attend that. There's a lot of variables to that, including the cost of going to the game. But that won't be easy. If you can get a result there, maybe just even four points, but we'll get to the predictions a bit later. I'm getting ahead of myself. We similarly played the whole game. You came off last week because they're a slight, they had ice on me. They ice these shun. So at least he didn't have to come off this time. Interestingly, as the catalysia, I played the sorry, didn't come off the bench and Lens, he played the whole game. Lens, he was now going to depart us for the balls. But at a so point, yes, we have other players who can play fullback. But unfortunately, Jordan Hendrix is not available at the moment. I think he was in training. So we'll see how that sort of pans out, but Lohenheim in white.form. But likely the catalysia will now step in and play it at fullback. Although personally, I thought of Cia as a fullback seeing the high laterals of him at school's rugby. But when he played that one game for the sharks, that fly off because it's so fast and excited, it's so well, and it's feet are so good.
It's almost as if he's more effective at fly off because he just runs past people immediately. We'll see how that pans out long. Oxenchil of the bench. Anytime you can play Oxenchil of the bench, and then even if it came on and played a fly off, I've solved the dummy, played, got the ball back and forth, and then Edelford and the Mervus going the tri with some serious speed there, even Uco coming off the bench as well. Ivan van Zail recently returned back to Africa from Sarasins, from the Prim, used favorite league, and really bested a slightly bit of game on the wing. Other estates and starting playing the whole game, Jelenzogili's also playing the whole game. So yeah, look, we got the job done. I was indifferent going into it. I thought that Lensdastel had a solid team. I was somewhat disappointed not to see Harryburn considering he tried to match Fix Against the Lions last week by missing two penalties, and then the next two times he
tried to kick out of hand, he got charged down twice for the Lions, but we'll get to the Lions a bit later. Before we change to the next game, Adam, the guy, Adam, the guy starts at four for Lensdastel, his first name is Connor, his second name is Tierney. I'm going to get posted in the green chat. I will get, I will find out from David. Sometimes there are certain names that I can struggle with as well. Yeah, that's why you're here. All right. So, Chuck, Chuck, stop the log, but we'll shift right along. Lions 35, Osprey's 19, Nick, you're up. Yeah, well, disappointed. I thought it was disappointing performance. We somehow went into half time in the lead, which was a little bit, I think, we know what's up group for the Osprey's really. I think we were pleasantly surprised given the way the game had gone,
the first half, which is show for us, and it shows in rugby that if you haven't got a scrum, it's very, very hard to win a game, and 36, Tommy Boater is still a very, very important player to the Ospreys, and the Lions have got a good, really efficient scrum. I think Boater's a vents from who's come across back to South Africa from Edinburgh. He's been a really good pick-up. And yeah, they're very, very efficient in the Lions, that's my view there. They don't always have a lot of ball, but when they do, they use it very well, and they've suddenly deserved it. In the second half, they just blitzed the Ospreys with the Ospreys to get a ball, and when they did, our attacking both games just look quite liberating. It was a little bit better in this game with sorry Keith, we caught him, Keith Keane Williams, and Evardy Boschov. So it's taken a little bit of
time to bed down, but no complaint whatsoever. We didn't deserve a point, we didn't get one, but well played to the Lions. They're building on last season and they look to me a very well-pitched team. Without perhaps the stars, they've got a few box players I know, but yeah, they've got a really, really strong team. I think they'll be there to there to go out, and they've got players for me, who, if they were certainly well, possibly any of the Six Nations would be certainly in the international reckoning. Frankie Horne, for instance, at number eight, he's a fantastic player, but he's no any other box. So yeah, I think the plus side of that course is, they won't lose that many players during the course of the season. So even they've got the November period, I don't know, not going to be playing many games,
but they still would be involved. So yeah, I think Lions are a good, again, dark horses, and I think all the South Good teams, just a general point, will cup here. I think they've got to be really, really good. I think they're really strong, because I've been playing for a place to be involved in the box. Yeah, it's will cup here. So the Lions look pretty good. They got two springbox back, but they've sorted them both on the bench. I think their recruitment has been very solid, they're outdated quite a bit from last week, considering especially at the loose forward with Supermarship playing off the bench. I found it interesting that the Lions scored a variety of tries on this game, initially more out wide with Killing Pec who being quite good, but then the second off, in fact, Osprey's actually went in the, yeah, off them, they were leading. And the Lions sort of shifted more to sort of maltries and that type of thing, getting a wing try again in the second off as well. But yeah, look, Ciba Balo, Koma is an underrated player. The
JC Petourius is fantastic. He played off the bench last week. Very good, open side, very sort of like a feature type player, played towards the ball. Nikus Tain started ahead of Kappis, Moné Fenderberg, very sort of the big debate of Scram Offs at the Lions, considering they sold Ashampi to the stormers. Was noting that Richard Trioplete, while at Inside Centre, but on the outside of him was Ethan Adams, who's really made his name as an Inside Centre for the Baby Box and so that means that if Ethan Adams played, that means I think Ovan Vaig didn't actually play at all. And Ovan Vaig is a vital player for the Lions and despite that, they still may be able to get the win. They don't even have Bronson Mouls, there's another super young Inside Centre. So the variety of players they have at Centre for the Lions is actually quite good. I think over time they've recruited smartly and they've built sort of gaps and I'm excited to Jan De Kourne, who was on the pit of an animal South African podcast and he also
alluded to the Jan De Kourne kick down based Lions supporter. He hasn't had much to share about over the years, but things are looking a little better for him these days. Of the bench, I had an Andrews veteran former shark as well. I'll sit Kourne on and Moné von der Berg of the bench and then put the channel and play the whole game, kill him, play the whole game, get it Adams played the whole game. Very interesting. Yeah, so B1n5 has been a revelation. I think his consistency is going to mean that he probably gets a buck cap at some point. Well, a few more because he's really got some. So yeah, that's the Lions. Now we move on to Kaelan's actual team monster beating Bulls, Adam, Europe. Yeah, I tell you a lot. I think for a team for Monster, I think they should get an award for the smallest ever 910 combo. KKC and Charlie Osher, but it's probably 5 and 5 on the dot. It was quite well to say. Knowing a little bit
about Charlie Osher before hand, I wasn't expecting, well, I was expecting to sort of like, he's 20 years old. He's played against a Bulls pack that is frankly quite terrifying. You know, you've got the likes of that back row. And that like the forward pack in general, like when you play 10, you're going to get targeted by a forward pack. Let's face it. But Charlie Osher, everyone's probably going to be sick of hearing his name this past week, but he was phenomenal. Bulls started pretty well with a good try to very start. It was a mall try, which, they could looted to, I think, with the, well, it wasn't exactly a mall try, but it was a a bash over a forward try. And then Monster sort of clicked and it was an absolutely magnificent. It was a crossfield kick. So it was a, it was a pass to, it was a pass to Sean O'Brien. And they
sort of did an almost like half-sex to loop on it. And it was a perfect, it was a perfect crossfield kick. It was a perfect crossfield kick by Charlie Osher to go to the game. And I thought, wow, like that's, you know, that for 20 years old, and the 20th minute of your first professional match, that's a pretty baller move. If I say say so myself, like for a first professional start. And then he scored a spectacular, I mean, like a really, really well taken try for the second try. I thought that when he sort of, he chipped it out, well, it was, he, what he charged down from the ball's fly half. And then he run a thought race against the ball's scrim half. And I thought, all right, okay, you know, sort of set up a little bit, you kind of think, you know, this is another Irish 10 that's surely going to be on some type of conversation now until the end of time you know, we've got Sam Pratt and a gas now, Casper Gabriel is Charlie Osher now going to be
talked about, especially when Jack Crawley's away and injured and what is also, I think, would being injured, it's such a bad time for him to get injured because this Charlie Osher has appeared now. And he took too really well, too, too, too, really well taken tries. But I thought that once you're playing with a really good, really good presence, especially in a week that's been sort of, um, turmoil is probably the word off the pitch. They're their CEO stepping down midway through the week, you know, of course, they've had controversial high-rings that we want to talk about because of course that's all been in doubt with. But this monster team, in the face of, you know, I think every Irish team at the minute's face is going to injury crisis, but particularly at 10 to find this Charlie Osher, I'd frame to be, you know, five or five. Certainly takes away the pressure from JJ Hanerhand, I'd say, in terms of, I always think that JJ Hanerhand's a solid URC level fly-off, but I think that he's a really good fly-off to come off
the bench to stabilize the game. But I felt like the likes of what Osher did was that he played like he was enjoying the game. And I think for a 20 year old fly-off, it really makes it a breath of fresh air to see how he played, taking two tries on debut, you know, everyone would dream of that. But yeah, I thought that the likes of, you know, monster fronted up pretty well, and like Alex come down and take a really good try towards the end as well. I thought that the bulls were interesting. I thought that their second half performance wasn't as good as their first half. Yes, I did know that they took a try, but I thought that monster played a really good, like game where they just wailed down this bull's attack. And to have you in the presence in an England cricket top wearing a scrum cap, you would almost be confused as to think that he was on the bench. I would love it if he was, if they would have done the classic, he was the mascot for
monster. I would have absolutely loved that. I'd like that sort of like, first act, but yeah, I'm really good game for monster. I'd be really interested to see my habit, your opinion on the bulls, which weren't so business like in this game. No, no, no, the dividend didn't didn't hit the bank account. She showed a dogboat played instead of Edwin. But yeah, bulls were in the lead in two periods, once in the first half and once in the second half. Look, they have a solid team if you look across the team, but I think in key positions, especially maybe the scrum, those are good scrum-beaching players, but they're not quite as good as they first show still. And then you look across the team, they had a softer start last week against Zebrae away. I think I'm super stoked that the sharks also get to play Zebrae in Europe later this season. But come on, Bosh, at a solid game, they just, I think,
I think monster were more on edge for this game considering they are a mount of stick they were getting from last week. I will also say at him is that the size of a flyoff, it's very interesting because Lunekrillimia can also play flyoff and he has played flyoff for the sharks and for the baby rocks and that kind of thing. He's also not particularly tall. So it's almost as if if you're elusive enough fast enough and your acceleration is good enough, you don't necessarily need to be that and your defense is reasonably good. I will also say for the sharks game, I forgot to mention San Francisco school, school haircut, by the way. Yeah, and maybe his defense has approved somewhat. But yeah, look, Joanne Elstad, these, these very young, they have a young girl on the bench, she's on Lombard Grieckos, they sent Joanne Schumann or Schumann, a younger hookah to Grieckos Grieckos who by the way are playing alongside Pumas and Cheetahs in Georgia in a sort of developmental
tournament dish, the shark at the name. In terms of the locks, those are really good underrated, like high quality locks. I went for Mark who the Bulls got from the Lions a few seasons ago, he's really good. Ludwig is really good. Another former baby buck and in the Luce tree, like he said, Marcel could say, your personal friend, other you Libinburg, very good player came back to the Bulls, played a few seasons for Jacob Ashford's Lainster. Two very good scram offs, one starting in Zach Berger and one of the bench in Paul David. And then interestingly is the video Jacob's who usually plays on a wing, played it inside, since it came off in the 44th minute video, ton player, but very, very fast as well. Hakim Kunei recently acquired by the Bulls from the sharks, he played it full back, so they're taking all our full backs. And then Stisitole and Junu, the good players within quite a front up in terms of the scram in this game, Nizamkar, Veteran of the bench. And the Bulls had Tristole, Tristole and Valyero to play
of the bench, so that's pretty solid. So Bulls fell short, got a losing bonus point. I think that's six points out of a possible ten for the tour. So not a disaster, similar to the Stomas. They didn't have like, yeah, Stomas won the first game, lost the second game, Bulls won the first game, lost the second game. Although to be fair, Stomas defeated a far more formidable team in the first round. So that brings to the end our reviews, so let's jump through to previews. And let's quickly preview round three, if I can shame, I scream, in a moment. I was starting with this sort of a podcast, Nitro Dabi, in Ethan's Glasgow, taking on K-Lon apparently, Connott. Ethan? Carlos football is back, so Hilton called him me, the superstition concierge to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't
wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky. Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching bandwick up call at 555 and 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for this day. I think I'm hoping Glasgow's had enough reflections from yesterday to try and patch what's not working. I think it's also... it's tough because obviously Europe's starting in two weeks time, so I don't know how much that might affect rotation. So for example, we might see Kyle Stain and Zanda Fagus and Brock Wacken. I'm hoping Glasgow to edge it, because I mean the quiet finals from last season, that was a fantastic game. That Connott really did push us. I'm thinking maybe Glasgow by about ten points?
Okay. Adam, your Irish perspective for the Connott? I think it's like a case of does Dan Lankaster want to sit at the table this weekend. But I think that Connott played a really interesting game where I can certainly see if Glasgow doing... as Ethan said, I think it's almost like the opposite. If Glasgow doing sort of that discipline, I feel like Connott can really punish them. And certainly they could get a win in Scotland. And I think it would make it really interesting, because certainly, as I said, like with Ulster and an ulcer perspective, if Connott were to win this, it would almost make us see even more rage in the fact that we didn't. So I'm going to say Connott by three. Okay. And in the next picture, also on the Friday, two games this Friday, instead of three. It's freeing to the programme, Tunis the Beer Dragons versus Nick's Ospreys.
Yeah. Well, Dragons the Form team really, they've got a really good record against the Ospreys in Rodney Parade, even when they've had poor seasons. I think the Ospreys in the URC, they're won their once. They've got to draw their last year. So certainly, Dragons are going to this game as favourites. They cope to that mantle quite well against the Scalars last week. So I think with the Ospreys, they sort of almost took the South Cat Trip as a bit of a preseason, try it as many players as possible, pick up as many points as we can. We've got one, what we say, same as you've got last year, but that one, there's a bit of pressure on you. We should have Connabeti available, which will add a different dimension to the Ospreys attack. But I have much to say, I can't see much further than a win for the Dragons. So I'm probably Dragons by four or five. Interesting. And then on the first game on the Saturday, Bulls host Lions. I would say the Lions
would win this, but it's not at Ellis Park and Lions only win at Ellis Park. Bulls will get a bunch of Springboks back. I'd say Bulls by three. And then another South African derby, Stormis, we would get a raft of Springboks back as well. The South African teams generally play overseas at the South. They don't necessarily get players back. I mean, Stormis did get C. Ecclecy and a few years ago we got Jaden Hendricks. I think I want the shocks to win, but I think the Stormis will actually be slight favorite. So realistically, Stormis by three. And then conference, another conference derby, Kuala Hapama, Zeberry Hapama, versus Police Commission of Benz, Edinburgh, Ethan. So I think it's always a really weird one when the Scottish and Italian teams play, because the Italian teams have just such a way of playing like anti rugby that somehow brings the Scottish teams onto their level, which is sometimes that's just how you got to do it,
and you have to commend them for it. Edinburgh had, I'm sure, Edinburgh's got quite a good record against Zeberry last season, but I'm sure they both the games that they won away were against Zeberry and Benetton. And then the end of last season, I'm sure we lost or we beat Zeberry by one point at the hive. And that's when we kind of started to see Hector Patterson emerge. So I'm hoping with the form that Edinburgh's got going into this one, that you know, they've had two quite good wins in the sense that they managed to hang on against Ulster and they managed to call their way back against the stormers. Two very different teams in the A.V.P.S. Fertz. I think Edinburgh should comfortably win this by, I'm going to say 14. Yeah, it's a very much revived in Edinburgh. And then you scull it, take on Benetton, Nick, the Welsh perspective? Well, it almost becomes a bit of a
must-win game, and I just only have three rounds for both teams, but for slightly different reasons. Benettoners will be disappointed to play two home games and only have come away with one draw and Scallots are played two and lost two and they're back at home. So for different reasons, I think Benetton, if they have got any aspirations to finish and top eight, need to win this game. If Scallots got any aspirations, it's not to finish in the bottom two. They need to win this game. So, yeah, I think it'll be a close game. I think Scallots perhaps might just do enough, giving us a home, you know. So I'll just go Scallots by two. Interesting. And then another derby, all of Erams Ulster versus Benetts, Munster. Tune into the interpro show to find out a little more about this, but in the moment Eram, it's Sunday night, the game's next Saturday. Thoughts? I'd say this is going to hopefully be our first one of the season. I think we really need to build.
We'd be hurting from the fact that we of course lost our first first game at the new lead named Aphadia Stadium. But I think for me, we need to really reply. We need to almost have like a perfect mix of the last 30 minutes against Edinburgh and the sort of first 60 ignore the 60s of 70, 70 to 80 of the Glasgow game. So I'm going to say Ulster by seven points. And then finally, the last game of the Saturday, it's tabletop and card of who makes their way to take on the lowly Lensder. Nick, you're off first. Yeah, the now named Leia Arena. I have no idea what Leia is. It must be a really insurance company. I have no idea, but I think they're insurance company. Yeah. But obviously it's a big day, big nights for the Lensder team, first home game for two years. And then old RGS Stadium, as it was,
once called, they'll be smarthing after two defeats in South Africa. So I can only see and I think there'll be a few more big guns out whether it be in a home game in Dublin. So I can't say any further than a big Lensder win. It's a good card of gun, nothing to lose are they? But I think there'll be 15 points for Lensder. Adam, how many tries do you think Dan sheen's going to score four five? Four probably. I'd say it's a really interesting one. I think Ethan mentioned before that the Champions Cup is starting soon. I'd say this is going to probably be the big guns will be back for this one. It's the start of their re-opening of the old RDS. They played a game already against Sabra as a pretty decent friendly. But I'd say for Lensder, I'd say a bonus point and I'm going to say by 17 points. I think it's going to be quite a big one.
I think they're going to make a statement. And that brings the end to this episode of Nick and the Berspektical Shaggy Eid Oaks.
