Don't trust Middle Powers' multipolar vision. By Elisa Barwick. The world seems to have divided into three camps. Those who refuse to give up any degree of Anglo-American hegemony, those who know it must be modified to maintain control, and those who want genuine change. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has associated himself with the Middle Camp, of which Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is a driver. In the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York on 21 September, the European Union launched the Partners for Multilateralism Initiative, P4M, backed by co-sponsors Australia Barbados, Brazil, Canada, India, and Kenya. A joint declaration stated, quote, At a time of global transformation and mounting pressure on the international order, we choose cooperation, respect for international law, multilateralism, and shared responsibility as the foundations of our collective efforts. End quote. The statement called for renewing and reforming the UN Charter.

Additional signatories, after European Council President Antonio Costa invited all nations to join, were limited to Albania Bosnia and Herzegovina Croatia Cyprus Finland Guatamala Liechtenstein Luxembourg Moldova Norway Samarino Slovakia Spain Turkey Uruguay and the Council of Europe. Quote. The question is not where the multilateralism can survive, but how it must evolve to meet the realities of our time, wrote the leaders of the European Council, and Kenya Brazil and Canada, in London's financial times the same day. The group statement on economic cooperation reveals that true reform is not in scope. While the signatories called for a so-called improved international financial architecture, a key component was stronger coordination on international finance, which equals expanded global financial control over nations, through bodies like the Bank for International Settlements Financial Stability Board, previously headed by Karni, refer to transatlantic regulatory reset underway.

Alert 23. September. This was implicitly backed up by new British PM Andy Burnham in his UNGA speech, calling for nations to meet the financial crisis, using the G20 response to the 2008 crash, that was the model that put the BIS in charge, establishing the FSB to mandate depositor Baal in globally. Nothing new to see here. At the 22nd of September analysis from the Lowey Institute, painted the venture as mostly marketing exercise. Every new crisis comes with a reflex to set a new table for leaders together around, wrote Daniel Flitton, under the headline P4M, a new club for middle powers, and the same old habits. But we have the UN for that. He stated, the P4M has four runners in recent history, and not just in style of name, the responsibility to protect R2P, unanimously adopted by the UN World Summit in 2005. Committed nations to protect populations from genocide war crimes and ethnic cleansing,

including using military force if necessary. Like the new middle powers club, it is selective. It has not been invoked to defend Gaza. A 2P was initiated by former British PM and Iraq war criminal Tony Blair. Also the brains of another highly selective initiative, US President Trump's Board of Peace, initiated to rebuild Gaza. Kani was invited to join the project, but his invitation was withdrawn. Three days after the Canadian PM's 20th of January World Economic Forum speech, in which he admitted the rules-based order was a fast that favored the powerful. Refer to the rules-based order 8 itself, alert, the 28th of January, another geopolitical formation, the quadrilateral security dialogue between the USA, Japan, India, and Australia, falls into the same category. Hypocrisy is rife in these bodies and the words of their promoters. In his UNGA speech, the EC's cost a slammed Russia for the Ukraine war,

even as the EU acts to escalate that conflict, but laid no blame when it came to Gaza, and reinforced the premise of the Iran War that the country never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon. Likewise, Al-Banesi, in his UN speech, denounced Russia's ongoing military attacks on Ukraine, but could not speak of the gross atrocities in the destruction of Gaza, wrote peace activist Margaret Reynolds in a piece for pearls and irritations. The real hope comes from the third camp, best represented by the Brics Group. Notwithstanding some overlap with the P4M, Brics leaders reminded the assembly of the real meaning of multilateralism. Brazilian President Louis Anosio Lula de Silva told the forum that, concessions to the law of the strongest have already crossed the limits. Adding that, to lead is to reconcile the interests of the homeland with that of humanity. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng called for, a global development partnership, based on unity and equality. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Loverov called for,

ending the dangerous rivalry between the largest global players, utilizing the principle of, equal and indivisible security. India's external affairs minister, S.J. Shankar quoted Mahatma Gandhi's words, there is no way to peace. Peace is the way.
