It is Sunday, October 11th, 2026. Got a lot to talk about tonight, obviously, with money in the bank that has concluded and concluded about 24 hours ago. And I'm here to give you my thoughts on it and hear yours as well if you've got your questions or comments, whatever you want. In terms of the money in the bank event, send them over to Mailbag at www.podcast.com. We'll talk about it. I'll answer them on my Monday Net Raw review. I won't wait for the Mailbag as I typically would on Friday. So just a heads up if you want to get your comments in regarding money in the bank, which, hey, it was a heck of a wrestling event.
Heck of a effort by all involved. Very few sinkers. A couple of flubs in terms of botches, but that's to be expected. I think the most glaring thing coming out of this, the most, I don't know if obvious is the word or perhaps suspicious. Maybe that's too strong of a word. Coming out of money in the bank is that the outcomes, particularly the money in the bank matches themselves for the men and the women, were not favorites. The favorites to win did not win. LA Knight also did not win. And he was a slight favorite. I really hope that the decisions made by those in power were not just motivated by the sole factor of surprise. That indeed there is a plan here that the plan moving forward is not just because they know what most people expect and they
decided to just choose something different. I have my suspicions though because everyone can see the odds, the Vegas odds, other places you can bet on WWE, just the general feel of social media using your eyeballs, you can see what most people think will happen. And that's something that in years past, before really the internet age began and took over and sports betting began, WWE had to kind of just get a feel for the reactions when people were there. Or how maybe they would feel if they were fans where the WWE seems to be going and are we just trying to be, are we trying to do something different just to be different? Or are we doing the right thing? Because as you know, at least for me, doing the right thing is much more important than doing a questionable thing and hoping it's the better option.
I understand that fans want different, they want new, they want something unpredictable. I understand the excitement of unpredictability, it keeps things fresh. But it's only one element of a quality program. Having something that's unpredictable, as I've said for years and years and years if you've listened to me, is not necessarily the right thing. It's hard to have the combination of unexpected and correct. Those two things are difficult to have simultaneously. So I'm going to go through the results here and again, I'm not necessarily down on them unless it comes to the, the women I will say though, I have a bit more suspicion there. The women I more down on than the men in terms of results. Because as I said to open the show, I think the actual wrestling from top to bottom was very good for money in the bank. It really wasn't the
quality of the matches, the effort by the athletes. It was more of just the results that left you scratching your head. And more often than not, that's what most matches delivered outside of one or two. We're kind of just what why? Why? You know, time will tell. Time will tell if the results that they came up with and decided to put forth are the right ones here. And I don't really even know where to start. So many places, so many places to start here with the money the bank event. Let me just start with Roman and Knight. I mean, they opened the show, which as I said in the preview show, look out for where this match is placed on the card. Because if this match closes the show, we're likely looking at a new world champion. If it's not closing the show, then you are probably looking at Roman retaining. Very rarely will a championship match not just open a show, major championship
match, open a show. But even more rare will a title change take place to open the show. Very rare. So you kind of knew when that was presented to us that, okay, there's almost no chance now that LA Knight wins. Almost none. And that's what we got. We got a Roman Reigns victory. And hey, LA Knight put on a great performance. Yeah, he had the flub outside that that's just on brand for LA Knight. He stumbles over his words, but most of the time he's fine in the ring. It's the exact same thing. Most of the time he's fine, but he'll slip on a banana peel. And that's exactly what happened with the power bomb botch at the on the outside of the ring and whatever. I really don't even I know people could stuck on that stuff. I I don't. I really don't get stuck on that stuff because that happens. And that's just who he is. We kind of know what we're getting with LA Knight. So beyond that, again, the match was really good. I mean, how many times do we need to see a
Roman Reigns match be really good before those that don't believe he is are proven wrong? He's in the position he's in because he delivers every single time he's in a main event. Every time Roman Reigns, after the last five to seven years has delivered in a big way. I don't know how anyone can really even dispute that outside of just trying to get rage bait. But again, more to the point, Roman Reigns in night, great match. Yes, an amazing falls finish with the spear turned into a BFT that was just I almost said BLT. I'm hungry, but I that was a great great counter that had a lot of people believing and rightfully so. Spears, kickouts, you get the usual stuff that you knew you were going to get. No returns, no returns here, no Seth Rollins, no Drew McIntyre. I predicted at least one, but I got none. And Roman Reigns retains. He retains. And is this the end of the road for LA Knight?
Well, not for his career, but is this the end of the road for him potentially winning a championship? I mean, I don't know how anyone could think that there's any other, well, at least that this is a very plausible conclusion to draw. I think it's very plausible that you have LA Knight never in a situation again that you could look at and go, finally, yeah, this is the right time. LA Knight's not young. The office doesn't think that it's the right move. Triple H has been for some reason or another against putting the belt on night and they've had multiple years, not just weeks or months, years to do so with Knight. And now we have Triple H coming out at an interview. I don't know is with Kathy Kelly or somebody. And he said that even though LA Knight lost that he has come out of money in the bank better for it than when he went in. Now, I don't know if we're trying to
or he's trying to rage bait us because sometimes I think he does. He knows he's going to say stuff that sets the internet ablaze and then he'll just profit off of that engagement, right? But let's pretend for a moment that he's being serious because I actually do think he is. I don't think this is rage bait. I think he believes that LA Knight truly came out of money in the bank better. I do believe, let me just say up front that even though you lose in pro wrestling, you need to learn and I've said this to him, going to be steadfast with it, you need to learn how to win in the loss. If you come into pro wrestling as an actual athlete or as a fan and think that winning is everything and the only way to get over is winning, then you obviously don't understand professional wrestling. It's just a fundamental element. It's the fundamental nature of pro wrestling. It's not really if you win or lose. It's how you win or lose or how you win in a loss if that makes sense
because you can come out of a match much better than you win in even if you lost. That's absolutely true. I cannot dispute that from triple H's perspective and I am 100% on board with that principle. However, there does come a point where after repetitive losses in repetitive scenarios that it becomes defeating for fans, it defines down what LA Knight is. There was no hanky-panky interference. It was Roman beating Knight period. And since that's the case, that tells you that sends a message. Creative sent a message loud and clear. He's not our guy. It ain't happening. Go home. That's the message I got. Again, it wasn't in a crushing defeat of epic proportions where Roman Reigns just dominated. No, no, no, no. But this to me was a
message sent loud and clear by creative to us. For those that believe LA Knight should be champion or will be championed that right now anyway. And obviously for the last few several years, it's not going to happen. At Verbo, we understand that even the best of plans sometimes need a little support. So we plan for the plot twists. Every booking is automatically backed by our Verbo Care Guaranteep, giving you confidence from the very start. Whenever you need help, it's ready. Before you stay through the moments in between and after your trip. Because a great trip starts with peace of mind. And maybe a good playlist. But we've got the peace of mind part covered. Premier hosts on Verbo deliver quality vacation rental stays with fast responses and clear instructions. Oh, I had a question. Our host replied super quick. Premier move. Wish I had a premier group chat. They won't even write me back. Book a top rated stay with a premier host. If you know, give Verbo. Book a love by guest property with Verbo and you get a top rated
vacation rental that's love for all the right reasons. I love my Verbo for the location. Good reason. Oh, and for the pool because pools are cool. I feel the love. Book a Verbo that's love by guests. If you know, you're Verbo. And again, yes, you can win in a loss, but there was nothing for LA night to gain in a loss here. It was winner go home for LA night. Because we've seen this story so many times that you've squeezed all of the quote unquote win in a loss. Come out better. That's that's all gone. That's been gone for night. He is already over. This is not going to elevate him in the minds of fans that have already believed he's at the main event level that he should already be champion. That's not what this is about anymore. Trips. Go count your hair follicles a few more times. I don't know. Maybe the hair transplant
he got in, whatever he did is affecting his brain chemistry. I'm not sure. Or it could just be pure rage bait knowing people like myself are going to bite. But it's this is the one of the scenarios in which and it doesn't happen often that you can't really make a case that LA night was elevated in the loss here. In what way? Please show your work. Don't just give me the answer. Tell me how LA night was elevated in this loss. Okay, he had a great match with Roman Reigns. Who doesn't? That's how great Roman Reigns is. And yes, LA night did his job. And there was a great false finish. And they they had a really good match that some may go back and rewatch. But it is a defeating crushing loss for fans that thought, hey, this is kind of winter girl home. He's not going to be putting this position again for a while. If he loses, he's out. And I think that's
the message here. Is it? Of course, it's wrestling. Is it possible? He finds his way back in. He somehow gets an opportunity at my of the next event, which is of course survivor series. Yeah, I guess. But you know, Roman's going to get his ass involved in the war games match. You know, that's going to happen. So Roman's probably not going to be defending his championship for quite some time. We won't see Roman for more than one or two times on the road to survivor series. And Roman is just going to do what he does with championships running high. And then have the ability to inflate the number of days he's championed because he's never there. Which I mean, look, I've been steadfast about this too over the last several years with Roman as champion on the other side of the of town. So to speak on Smackdown. He's earned the right to have the schedule. He's got that schedule for a reason. He's earned it. He continues to show you. He's he deserves it based on every time he's in the ring. He performs at a five star level.
His promos again are as good as they're probably ever going to get. He's a lead. I don't know if legends the right word, but he's absolutely a hall of favor. And to extend his career, you're going to have him wrestle only when you need him to. So I really have no issue with the schedule, but you know what you're going to get. And Roman saying that he's elevated this title to number one. No, I don't think he has. He said that in a pro a pre match interview at I really don't think that he has elevated that championship above the title that Sammy Zane's holding. Because the guy that's holding the belt at that current time doesn't dictate the entire lineage and value of that championship. Now they should add to it. They shouldn't take away, of course. But you can't tell me that just because Sammy Zane who in arguably is a lesser of a star than Roman reign reigns is in terms of brand value and name recognition, of course he is, but what's behind the lineage of that championship is infinitely more impressive than what Roman reigns is holding,
which is essentially a knock off champion WCW World Championship that WWE brought in in 2002, Triple H held onto it, what seemed like for six years. Then it just went away. And then we had Seth Rollins win it. And in the inaugural World Championship match back in May of what, 23, 22, 23, whatever the hell it was. And then they pretended that that championship didn't exist until Seth grabbed it. So no, your championship Roman is not worth more than what Sammy Zane's holding. That is still the number one prize. It still is. So again, kind of disheartening here for LA Knight. I know I've spent a little bit much more time on this than I thought, but disheartening. And then we get to all to Survivor Series. Sorry, well that's another chapter for another day. Let's let's continue on here. Let's go to the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. And again,
we had Roxanne Perez as the favorite here who never really got to a point where you said, oh my god, oh my god, you just kind of looked at it and go, maybe there wasn't that definitive moment. I mean, they tease it. Everybody gets an opportunity to have that moment to tease the fans. But this match was good. I mean, some botches, some slips, but that's what the women do. Just because that's the nature of women's matches. But they all busted their ass. They did. Some of the ladder bumps were scary as hell. That was really the biggest thing for me was, and I said this again, prior to the event at the preview and prediction show, I said, I'm concerned about the women from an injury perspective. And we nearly got a catastrophic one from Tiffany Stratton who yes, ultimately won the match, but did a dive off the ladder on top of the other women and nearly just landed straight on top of her head. She banged the back of her head.
I don't know how she wasn't taken out of the match. I don't know how she doesn't have a concussion. So that was a scary, freaking spot right there, no doubt about it. Seems as if she's okay, but man, when you hit your head, you can't build muscle on your head. It's just bone and that's it and that's all you're going to have forever. There's nothing you can do to strengthen your head. So I hope she's all right. Seems as if she is. She performed the rest of the match, but God dang. So the match was good though. I mean, these women busted their ass, as I said, for 15 minutes. We thought for a moment, perhaps last legend was going to win. She had a nice power bomb. I forget who it was, but on top of the ladder, there was, again, not any real moment where you said, oh my God, it just kind of happened with Tiffany Stratton. Stratton ends up
cashing in or rather winning the money in the bank briefcase to a lot of fans going, I mean, that to me, this is a boring choice. This is very, very boring. Tiffany Stratton's character is exceptionally boring. There's really at this point, nothing unique about her. Other than she, at this point, continues to dive on her head. If you saw the TikTok or the, it was on TikTok, but it was also on X. Tiffany Stratton was doing some practice about a month ago and essentially landed on top of her head. I mean, she has avoided being a quadriplegic for months now. I mean, I hope that she doesn't try it a third time, but it's a boring choice. I don't know what they were thinking here. You could have gone with almost
anyone would have been a better choice than Tiffany. Last legend, you could tell, but she's at least kind of fresh on the scene. She's a strong, kind of, she has a muscular woman, no doubt about it. You know, she's going to be a big player moving forward. You could have easily put it on her. Roxam Perez, of course, was the favorite with good reason. JC Jane, yes, she's new to the scene, but you could have made the case for day. Building her up for the next six to eight months and then have her cash in then. You know, you don't have to cash in right away. There's still time to build that person. Low levyce. Okay, maybe that's a little bit of a weak sauce there. You know, I don't like anyone really believe that she was a good candidate, but Soul Rooka, yeah, would anyone have complained if Soul Rooka won? No, Soul Rooka was and has been an impact player. So to me, this is as boring of a choice as they possibly could have made. And it's notice how this is also the opposite,
right? We're always looking for at least wrestling fans are unpredictable and the right choice. This was unpredictable and a boring choice. This is the unpredictable you don't want. See, there is such thing as unpredictable that can be bad. This is one of them. This is this is one of them. I just I don't see the appeal here. I don't need to see Tiffy going around for the next however many months, carrying the briefcase, being obnoxious, talking about Tiffy time and speaking in her incredibly nail on a chalkboard voice. I don't know, I don't know. I find no appeal in her character. She's clearly more interested in being a social media star than she is an actual professional wrestler. If you don't believe me, go look at her social media. She spends more time on there showing off her body and her tattoos and it's like pretty much anything and when there is a wrestling belt in the picture, it's an accessory. It's an accessory like a purse or a necklace. It's
not meant to be the centerpiece. The centerpiece is always look at my body. It doesn't, isn't my body incredible? That's what it is and that's unfortunately what it is for a lot of a lot of the ladies. But book a loved by guest property with Virbo and you get a top rated vacation rental that's love for all the right reasons like being in a great location or having great amenities. Terms apply. See Virbo comm slash trust for details. Alright. So boring choice. Next match, Oba Femi, Bronson, Reed, as advertised, this was as advertised the match won 11 minutes, almost 12 minutes with Oba Femi winning. And he won even after the brass knuckles were used twice on Oba Femi and
his tsunami. I mean, look, if Brock Lesnar could have put him down with like seven F-5s, you're not going to put him down with a couple shots of the brass knucks and a tsunami. This is just going to be Oba Femi's thing and it's a dangerous thing though. It's a dangerous thing because I understand that we live in this world of professional wrestling now where kickouts of finishers are standard business and I hate that. I despise it. But Oba Femi's character takes it to another level where even after you hit it, you know it's going to take, I mean, five, six of them to put him down. So what you're doing every time Oba Femi has a match is watering down his opponent's finish by default because you can't tell me that he can take seven F-5s, two brass knucks shots, a tsunami kickout, kickout, kickout. But he's going to take,
I mean, somebody else's finish once or twice and get put down. They've set a dangerous precedent now because if Oba Femi's put down with one finish, they'll probably in their mind, creative's mind, they will think, well, we don't want to define down Oba Femi. They think he's gotten soft, he's gotten weak. But how about you look at it from the other perspective? Why don't you have somebody put Oba Femi down with one finish? It would be a shock. It would be people go, oh my God, well, how powerful is that finish to put Oba Femi down? That's how they should look at it. But instead, they'll continue to put forth and essentially prostitute out people's finishes for the sake of showing how strong Oba Femi is. But they don't see the downside of doing that. You are completely, I mean, I don't know what the word is bastardizing or you're defining down anybody's finish that faces Oba Femi. You are, you are lessening it,
you're weakening it, you're whatever adjective you want to use, it's bad business. All for what? Oh my God, Oba Femi kicked out of another finish. How many times can you do that? I don't know. I think just as a whole, as you guys know, you gotta just start from making finishers impactful again. This idea that finishers don't mean anything is, it's actually poison to professional wrestling. But this match was good. The match was good. I enjoyed this as expected. As expected too. We had Logan Paul, we had Austin Theory there. They both got their asses kicked out by the ref. That was good to see. We had Reed put Oba up and hit him with a deathfalley driver. That was impressive. So a good match overall. Oba did celebrate and then Cole said that he was the next big thing. I don't know if I'd use that. I understand it's a pun
on Brock Lesnar, but I don't know. I want Oba to have his own identity. I don't want him to be Brock Lesnar 2.0. Not a good idea. But Paul Haman then was shown smiling and nodding as he watched backstage and Oba celebrated, as I said, but so Paul Haman, I mean, it'd be the worst kept secret in the world if he aligns himself with Oba Femi. Who cares? I've made the case too. Bad idea. Let Oba swim or sink on his own. He's doing that already beautifully. We don't need Paul Haman there. I think it would be looked at as a crutch. Okay. We then have more ad blocks and the women's world championship match that also was very puzzling. Not as boring of a choice, but very puzzling. So the match went 17 minutes in a good match, but not incredibly impressed.
This one to me was the, if you're going to choose a bathroom break, kind of the bathroom break. Not just because the match ended up being subpar and kind of A, but also you figured, well, seven of a car is going to retain. Of course, she's going to and I said she was going to as well. Why would you, if you're WWE, what are we doing? We have Stephanie Vickair win the championship from Liv Morgan at an un-televised house show. Only to have her a month later drop it back to Liv Morgan. Why? Was it just a boost house sale tickets in the short term to make you believe that title changes can happen once in a blue moon at house shows, which is true, but it's very rare. Was that the whole purpose? That's the end game. Was to make you believe in buying tickets to potentially see a title change? What are we doing? Stephanie Vickair, unless there's an injury
I'm unaware of, which is also very possible. What are we doing? She was doing fine. I would say she was doing very good. Starting to find her voice a little bit. The fans connect with her wonderfully. I don't understand what we're doing here. What's the plan? What does Liv have that Stephanie Vickair doesn't? Somebody answer me that. Liv, I like Liv. Liv's a lot of fun. She's a good promo. She's annoying. Her voice is naturally annoying, which is great if you're a heel. I enjoy her off camera. She seems to be very likable. She gets it. Her and Dom, again, kind of stale. We've been down that road. I think the time for those two to move on. But I just don't see the value in giving the belt to Liv when Stephanie Vickair was just starting to
really get going at this run. People were behind her. It's not as if she was super green and felt awkward with the belt. No, she was doing just fine. So again, I ask creative, what does Stephanie Vickair not have that Liv does? I just don't know. Is it Tiffany Stratton who's going to cash in on Liv? Instead of Tiffany Stratton caching in on Stephanie Vickair? If she's going to cash in on somebody on RAW anyway, I don't know. And again, we can only see where we can't see the forest through the trees because we're not creative. We can't see down the line for what they're maybe trying to do. But I can't see why you would put the belt on Liv. It's not a shockingly bad choice. It's just head scratching. What are we doing? What was that even about then? Just like the Sammy Zayn title ring. If you're all going to give it to
him for freaking nine days, what the hell are we doing? Why? So I know I'm I'm bitching and moaning like a little baby, but it just this one makes no sense to me. All right. So then we have the men's money to make ladder match. Braun Breager, Giovanev and Stric Williams, Penta, CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and Graves pointed out that Punk had a Chad ball on his ring jacket, which I guess is a tribute to the late Chad Gilbert of the band Newfound Glory, which is fine. Newfound Glory. Oh man. Yeah. I mean, hey, that was right in my wheelhouse. I don't know how you guys feel about music. Of course, a very subjective topic like many things are. Newfound Glory was right in my wheelhouse because I remember, I mean, for me anyway, very specific memory to me that no one else gives a shit about, but it was right in the
early college years for me. And I loved kind of getting into that music into a little bit of emo that kind of stuff. I really enjoyed it. I did. And they were they hit some great songs. They were part of my soundtrack. They were at least on at least one song on my burn CDs. You know, my early college years in 2003, 2004, 2005. So anyway, moving on, no one cares. This match, the men's money, the McLeod are match. This, let me see the time stamp. I'm looking at here. I'm trying to find my God. All right. It was okay. It was over a half hour. I wasn't sure 32 minutes for the men's money in the McLeod are match. And the men, yeah, they killed it. This was a really enjoyable match from the perspective of if you want car crash moments. Was it the best put together match of all time from pacing? No. Should it have gone 32 minutes?
Probably not. They could have cut it down to 20. I mean, I think it was a little bit long in the tooth. But the match was good. Really good. If you want that car crash stuff. And you got it. Kevin Owens putting his body on the line as he does. Little Yachty getting a stunner was for me the best part of the match. Seeing him get stunned was just awesome. Also, the stunner doesn't get nearly as much of a reaction as it probably should. Anybody else notice that? Maybe the crowd's tired, but I've seen just in general with KO as a baby face using the most recognizable baby face finish of all time from the biggest baby face in the history of professional wrestling. You would think that would get a bit of a bigger reaction. I've just noticed for a while it kind of really doesn't. I'm not asking for him to change his move. I love the move. It's one of my favorites of all time, dude, but it's just an observation. Do with it what you will. Little Yachty gets a stunner. We had Javan Evans, which of course
is the spot of the night. Common deer and ambulance have to come back as baby faces do. They just hijack ambulances. He ends up taking a latter spot from Braun Breaker who was spearing, I got, how many spears do we see? It's just too many. He ends up tossing Javan Evans into the top of an ambulance and he collapsed through. Okay. You know what I'm going to say here. You guys listen to me. You know what I'm going to say? Look, appreciate the spot. You knew Javan Evans was going to do something crazy. I said it, but in the preview, that's just what he's built for in this match. He's not built to win. He's built to showcase. He ends up taking a spot off the top of a huge ladder in through the top of it. I don't know if the ambulance was made of paper mache. I'm not sure, but he ends up dropping through the ambulance, the top of the ambulance and crash through it. Okay. First of all, I know it's per-rusting. I understand we're in a fantasy environment, but I'm supposed to
at least be a little bit engaged in reality. It's supposed to be a little bit grounded in reality. And the idea that Javan Evans, once he sees Braun Breaker, about to do what he's going to do, Javan Evans had a good like 10 seconds where he could have jumped off. I mean, he's a freak athlete or climb down real quick. Instead, he just looks at him and he's like, no, no, no, don't do it. Don't do it. Bro, you okay. Even somebody that's not super athletic had time to climb down or jump off, Javan Evans is like take the average athletic guy and time to buy five and that's the ability of Javan Evans. He's like a normal athletic guy times five. He could have of course fallen asleep and gotten to safety on the ground, but instead he decides to not only take the bump, commendable, certainly it is. I appreciate what he's trying to do. Create a memorable moment.
But he not only did that, but he suddenly can jump when he needs to make sure he hits the spot. Do you see how far he jumped off the ladder to make sure he hit the spot on the ambulance? I hate that shit. And every all these streamers, you know who these streamers are? I mean, we know who their Santis app and con men. I have nothing against them at all, but they're looking at this and they have to take it seriously. And they have, they look, they got livelihoods. They're making money and they're a lot more popular in the show is absolutely. I'm not saying I'm not trying to compete with them or training me rivalry, but I'm sorry. If you're creating a reaction stream and I have to watch you watch this and you're telling me that you believe what you're watching and you can't, you're not shitting on what you just watch. What? I'm sorry. I can't. I just, I don't know what these guys are trying to do. I will not give you that kind of bullshit. That spot, as I understand the individual impressiveness of it, but it was ridiculous. That's the only way I can put it is ridiculous.
I don't not asking him to take a spot on top of an ambulance. Of course, it's solid steel, a steel frame. Name another ambulance that has a paper roof. Anybody? I mean, it was just ridiculous. I'm sorry. It was laughable. It was cartoonish. It was cartoonish. So that was just whatever. I mean, I'm sure there were mattresses inside of the ambulance and I get it. You got to be safe. You don't want the guy hurt. Of course, safety is paramount, but you also need to make it look good and make it look like he's, that he's not a cartoon character. And that's what's got to do with they did. So I hated that. I just thought I was so stupid and everybody else is, oh my god, whoa, you shit. What are you talking about? Oh my god. We have just lost ourselves. We have lost ourselves as fans to just accept that kind of garbage. And again, I'm not crapping
on Javine Evans. I'm not crapping on anybody in the match from just an execution standpoint. They did what they could with it. And they are incredible athletes. But whoever came up with the spot that, hey, we'll just make a, we'll take some moose leaf paper from my, my trapper keeper and we'll kind of tape it together on the top of the ambulance and we'll just go through it. Ridiculous. I'm sorry. It's, yeah, stupid. All right. It's a lozzy that say I can play in and hate wrestling. There's your stuff. You can go and give me a one-star rating. I don't care. But I'm never going to sit here and tell you, oh my, what a crazy, what a crazy bump. No, he wasn't crazy. It was absolutely not crazy. It looked ridiculous because he had to jump an extra three five to five feet and of course he just went through like a paper roof. Anyway, so we then had the winner here, which is Penta. And again,
while I understand where Penta is and the minds of fans and he has been elevated in the lost enrollment on September 15th when they had the World title match, was he the right guy? I'd say close second. Yeah, this one I'm not going to get crazy about. It's not a boring choice. It's just another little bit of a headscratcher choice. When you have Braun Breaker, it's like this guy fits the bill perfectly. Heal, he could easily, he's believable to be champion. It's not as if you're looking at him going, well, I don't know. He could carry the belt. He could do it. And I think him and Roman Reigns will be a lot of fun. And they could still get there. But it just felt like he was perfectly aligned for this for this money the bank briefcase win and he didn't get it. It was Penta. So we had two baby faces when the belts going in the face of my analogy or my observation that it has typically
historically been a heel because it's a heel prize to win the way you cash it in. But we had Penta win. And I actually thought, okay, Penta wins. They must be going against what we think is going to happen just to make themselves unpredictable. So we need to look out for that more and more guys. As WWE really tries to make themselves unpredictable, which I, again, I respect, we need to look at the odds. And when someone seems an overwhelming favorite to win, we may not want to reanalyze because WWE seems to seize the same information we do. And since they have control of what happens, if one of their priorities is to make sure that what happens on said PLE is not what the mainstream audience thinks is going to happen,
then we need to recalibrate how we predict what's going to happen. I said that really convoluted. Let's shorten it up. We see the odds. You can see the odds. Anybody can Google the odds. Vegas, just go to Vegas, the over under the betting lines, the money lines, you can see. When there's somebody that's an overwhelming favorite, just reconsider it because WWE is looking at the same thing you are. And if you are betting actual money, well, Godspeed, I'm not. But if you are, or if you're just a casual fan who's interested in making good predictions for PLE's or you're a podcaster, like myself, whatever, it may be time to recalibrate, recalculate how we are coming up with the predictions we do. So because of the fact that it seems as if
perhaps they were just on the other side of things to try to shake things up and make it feel like they're not so predictable. So we just need to rejigger the calculus. That's what we need to do. The calculus behind our computations of pro-rustling predictions, we need to kind of figure out a better way to do it. Which is fun. It's not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing that, okay, they're going to try to make it unpredictable. The question is, they're going to try to make it more unpredictable. But also, what are they going to do in place of that that's a little more risky, less safe of an option, but also maybe not the right move. That's the risk. That's what the risk that they run when they try to be unpredictable. So I know I've kind of gone into the weeds about this kind of stuff, but I love talking about it. I love talking about the kind of the fine minutia of how WWE probably comes up with these ideas and the conversations they could be having behind the
scenes. It's fun. So anyway, overall, what would I grade this PLE B-? I'd say it's a B-. It's a good show. As I said, the wrestling and the effort from all of the contestants everywhere, up and down the card was very good. The bumps were admirable. The effort, again, on all fronts, was commendable and it's not that. It's the booking for a few of the matches that made you go, what is happening? Stephanie Vickair losing. Why? Tiffany Stratton winning the women's money in the bank. Snooze Fest. LA Knight losing to Roman Reigns, which may be his final shot. Why? Why would you not at least see what you've got from LA Knight? It's not WrestleMania season. You can easily switch it back to Roman, your golden boy, in time if you want him holding the belt going into WrestleMania. Instead, when you have a great opportunity, Roman's holding the World Championship,
which regardless of what he says is still the number two in the company, why would you not, with a guy that has sustained support for years, at least see if the fans were right about him all along. And instead, you go with the boring option of Roman Reigns retaining. You have Stephanie Vickair dropped the belt for seemingly no reason after winning it at a house show a month ago. You have Tiffany Stratton who is again a boring baby face character that has already won it before, when there were several other much more interesting younger options that you could have gone with in the women's money in the bank. I have a lot of issues with those three matches in terms of the outcome, not the effort. But when it comes to the other matches, not so much boring, just kind of predictable with Oba Femme, but the right choice with Oba Femme winning. And then again, the men's money in the bank, you had to me the second best option of Penta winning the money in the bank briefcase.
So interesting night all around for WWE. A lot, as I said, that you could continue to discuss and go down the line with and have back and forth debates with other fans about. But that will conclude my money in the bank review. Again, if you want the Smackdown review, I know it didn't really talk about Smackdown, but that is covered by Amanda who did a great job.
