I'm Howard, a felon, a very, very good morning to you. This is the Israel report and this morning brought to you by Galmarkis, Director at the Republican of the CZK. Very good morning. Thanks for joining us. Hope you well. Doing well. First of all, welcome back.
This is you last week when I was on and secondly, I am joining you live from the rooftop of Aisha Tora in the old city after having daven at sun up with about a hundred thousand Jews. Please look around and just describe for our listeners, take us there. Yeah, so what was amazing, I got up at 4.30 in the morning and drove to Jerusalem. And as you get closer to the old city, the crowds of people begin joining you. And literally, you know, when we got here, the entire, you know, I was on top of the Aisha Tora rooftop looking down. It was just, it was dark. There were literally probably a hundred thousand Jews. And slowly as the sun came up on the eastern side right behind our bite, you know, he heard the dancing and the singing and the excitement and the happiness, especially this week with what happened. There's a, there's a real celebration in the air. And it was just an incredibly inspiring experience.
If you haven't done it, I highly recommend it. But there's a real spirit of of Simhah. Once again, you know, when you do Hashanah and you say, you talk to Hashem and you say that he's Adon Hamoshia, which we said the day after this incredible miracle this week, with the fly to by flight. You know, there's a sense of, you know, God has taken care of us every minute. And we're going to get through all this. So we're going to be victorious. We're going to be united. We're going to be so happy together and amazing. And you can see the, and I have a picture of it. Crystal, I mean, perfectly white doves. Oh, wow. I'm going to ask you to send them to me personally, and then I'll share it. I love that. And we could, we can share that. Just as a matter of interest, has there been over the last number of years? I don't know how long you've been doing this coming through to Jerusalem now, at this time. But, but there seems to be,
even during Selichot, during this period, there seems to be a lot more people coming to the western wall, to the cartel over this period. Yes. I've been here also during Selichot. And what I'll tell you is that in general, Israeli society has become more religious since October 7th. Many people are not Orthodox or, you know, fully observant, but they all have a spirit inside of them. And I've seen people come who are totally not religious. When they come, they say Selichot. And they, and they dance with us. And they're not using that, that so many more people are, are being inspired by the events that are unfolding around us. And so, yes, you're exactly right. More and more and more Jews are joining in these, in these holidays, in these moments of inspiration. And I suspect it's only going to get bigger and better. It's really wonderful. Well, it's interesting because I've interviewed, I've had the privilege and the, the difficulty of interviewing so many survivors from the Novifestival.
And most of them were in religious, of course, because it happened to be over Simhra Torah that they were there. But, but I always asked them the question, who were you going into the festival and who are you today? And there is always a spiritual, grateful component to, to, to, to, to that. And I would imagine that, obviously, that's in an extreme situation, that the whole nation has been through a spiritual, that, that experience to a great, or less, extent. So, it's, it's a little wonder that, that we are seeing the spiritual rebirth. We know, we saw it this week when the, the, the flight, you know, the festival. Let's talk about that, absolutely. Yeah, let's, they, they met with BB. Yeah. They met with BB Nitenyahu. And they started singing Hashemid Barakh, Tamido Hebotee. It's unbelievable. I imagine that. These are secular Jews, and they're saying,
Hashemid Barakh, Hashem, our God, blessed, Tamido Heboteel always loves me. And, and, and, and BB sang along with them. I mean, it was, it was just so moving that when they went through this, where they look for, for gratitude, is, of course, the heroes, but the heroes looked upward and said, there was a miracle, a period, there was a, it was a overt miracle in front of us that happened just a few days before the third anniversary of October 7th, the week, the week of Sincathora. You know, this is the first year that we've had Sincathora fall out on Shabbos is the exact way that it was. That, that, that, that, that people year. And so, and so you, you see that people are, they're, they're, they're innaked, a nature. The DNA of our people is that when they're saved, they look upwards and they say, thank you. And that's what happened this week, and that's I think that's, that's, that's, that's, you know, what's uniting us, you know, more and more is Hashem-e-Had. That we can all, whether we're observant or not, well, you know, no matter, you know, we don't need uniformity, we need unity, and when, when you can turn,
when everybody can turn no matter what level, what level, where, where salvation comes from, and they look up, then you know something special happening, it's a very special generation, very special times that are living in, despite all the challenges that we're going through. So, incredible week, an incredible moment to be here, you know, in a hard, I'm overlooking it, as we speak, Howard, overlooking it, and it's just, people are just celebratory and, and happy, and, and, uh, just, we all feel embraced by, by, uh, by Godbough. So, let's talk about the, the events of this week, because we were obviously covering this line, as these, as the news was coming out, as we were hearing, the, the concerns, and then it took a while to, to put all the information together, now Netanyahu is saying that, the, uh, Omani Copailer, to try to bring down the flat, underwent, Islamist, radical indoctrination, what do we know, and what are we still speculating? So, the, the Iran link is under investigation,
and, um, there are indications, but no, confirmation from government, that in fact there was an Iran link, but what we do know for, 100% surety, uh, based on the, the, the copilot's, uh, social media accounts, is that he was, uh, indoctrinated, hated Jews and wanted to kill Jews. Now, what indoctrinated him, and who got him, and did he get paid? Was this suicidal? Was this just gonna be murder? Was it gonna be terror? We're gonna find out in the coming days, but there's no, no doubt about from the, uh, from the evidence that we've, we have found, uh, online, that this was a, a Jew hater who wanted to kill as many Jews as possible. And, um, apparently that happens in every generation, and every generation were saved. So that's what happened in this case. I mean, the, this, this notion of, what the distinction between being suicidal and wanting to, uh, to kill Jews, well, it's not really necessarily a distinction, is it? Because, it's not, he had, I mean, he could have jumped off a building. Yeah, he could have jumped off a bridge.
He didn't need to kill 174 Jews. Yeah, no, it was, it was, it was, it was a Jihad. So it was suicide, but suicide, but by, you know, it's like, it's like those who used to put on, those, uh, the suicide bombs, right, walk out, walk into a Jewish, you know, in Israeli bus. So it's same exact thing, right? He only wanted to do is kill Jews, but he had no problem killing himself, as long as he killed Jews, at the same time. And, and, and as they were, as they were, uh, you know, stopping him, he begged them to kill him. Now, it's, he, the copilot who was now, they, they had tied him up. That's how they, uh, that's how they celebrate. They, they, they, they, they, they want to get to the 70 virgins. Um, but, you know, obviously, we, we, we value life. And we'll do anything in our power to save life, which is what you saw in those heroes that still, while the plane was declining. And, uh, and really, uh, doing incredibly courageous things to save all the lives. That plane should never have been able to land physically.
There was no tale. The tale, the rudder on the back. And, and in fact, I spoke to an aviation expert. And, uh, it's, it's, this is, uh, this is properly a miracle. Oh, 100%. The plane itself, if you asked Boeing, 787 900, uh, Boeing would tell you that the plane should never have been able to survive. The kind of rapid descent, uh, that, that it did with, and certainly not to be able to land without a, uh, without a tale. And it did. And so every step of the way, there's, there's no one, it's one miracle after the other, just, just finding the right people on the plane. If they didn't have a pilot on the plane, that happened to be there because they were put on the plane in case there was a delay. So if, if all these pieces hadn't come together, we would have 173 dead Jews at the hands of once again, Islamist her. That's not God's plan. God wanted to save them, show us that He still embraces us and protects us and loves us. And He did that in a way which was beyond, you know,
beyond anything that we can imagine. And, uh, and that was an incredible accomplishment. But that plane, that plane should never, ever had. Mm-hmm. Good enough. It's like giving, how quickly you'd descend it. The, the, the incident showcased the progress made both with the UAE and Saudi Arabia in terms of the relationship with Israel. But it also highlighted some of the stress points in the cracks. Take me through some of those. Yeah, I mean, the good news is that Saudi Arabia allowed the plane to land. That was awfully nice of them. And they did treat our passengers upon arrival with a lot of respect. They gave medical care. They took care of them to the best of their ability. And, and that I think was a great moment of humanity. UAE, of course, you know, they're, they're friends of ours. Uh, and, and, uh, and obviously are going to figure out who was behind this and how this slipped through. Uh, so that, that was good.
The, the downside of it. And I'm not sure, you know, Israel's going to want this guy extra-dited. And I don't think that they're going to get wind that argument. I'm not even sure they should wind that argument. Yeah, I'm not sure that should either. Yeah, it wasn't his really property. It wasn't over as really land. It was, you know, it was Emirati property over Saudi Arabia. And so I don't know who's going to put these people on trial. But that may be a little bit of stress. But I tend to agree with, you know, not to actually date. And I don't think it's appropriate under international law. But, um, but, you know, we're looking forward to, uh, to, uh, you know, continuing to work very close to them. The Emirates are actually really good friends. It's not just that the Abraham Accords removed time. The Abraham Accords removed hostility. We actually have a friendship with them. We share intelligence. We have constant meetings. BBs there last week in private conversations for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, the, the, the, uh, updates on the nuclear, uh, the Iranian nuclear efforts. But, you know, there, there are a lot of, a lot of good things happening there.
I hope Saudi Arabia realizes that, you know, we're all in this together. And they may not agree with everything that we do. And, and, but, but there's so much more that could bring these two great nations together that, then divide us. If they all, if only they would see through the hatred and the radical Islamic influence that they've been trying to also extract from their country and evict from their country. If they can put that aside and realize that we just want to live peacefully in our part of the world. And there's so much more that we can gain. So maybe this is the beginning where we're going to find out. Um, part of the problem was that Saudi Arabia did not allow Israeli, Israel to send their own planes. Um, okay, you know, it is what it is. But, uh, everybody got home safely. And, uh, and that's the bottom line. I think it was either the day before, two days before Netanyahu made a comment about, um, a potential attack or, uh, certainly concerns ahead of the elections. Is this, do you think this is the top of thing you had in mind or something a little bit different?
So I think anything goes on the table. Um, you know, there was a lot of chatter. There's a lot of intelligence pointing to certainly increased attempts at, uh, at terror. Uh, I don't think, uh, according to reports that I've read, he did not know about this specific attack. Um, but, you know, it's interesting that when he, you know, he tells the country, beware. Uh, and, uh, Lapid gets up and says, he's just fear mongering. You know, on, on October 6th, if you said that, and, you know, he's just fear mongering. It's like you got to learn your lesson a little bit. So, B.B. He's trying to warn the, the, the, the country, um, about, about these, these risks and these threats. And others are trying to minimize them until oops, they actually happened. And now they've got egg in their face. So it actually, I think this week, and one thing that came out of this week is that, is that I, I would, I wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised that the Lapid, then it passed. And the, uh, the, the, uh, Trump Donald Trump threatening once again to blow up Iran. We hearing reports of additional fleets moving into the area.
What do we understand about what is happening in terms of Iran? It's a matter of time. It's a matter of time. I think we're going to see a, a renewed conf, um, kinetic counter, uh, uh, confrontation sooner rather than later. And it has to do with the nuclear program. Iran is not stopping. They are accelerating. They're trying to get, um, pickaxe mountain on, on, uh, you know, they're trying to open it up and try to resume operations there. They're not going to stop. And so I think we're going to have to go back to kinetic action. So hopefully this will be the final blow. So he's, he's preparing for it. I think it's going to be a very powerful blow. I don't think it's going to happen to laugh to the election. So I think they're going to spend a month preparing, but then hit them really, really hard. And if that happens, then hopefully we can see some, uh, permanent changes in the regime there. We think it happened at any point. That's the bottom line. Right. We've only got two minutes left, but I do want to ask you about, uh, the elections. Israel is divided as, uh, as we get closer to the, the, the elections.
How, how is it looking? It looks like it's going to be split. We're not going to be able to form a government unless somebody has humility. And that's the bottom line. You need to have people eat with humility who are in leadership, political leadership in this country. And today we don't have any, um, leaders who are, uh, humble. So I think we're going to, you know, right now the polls are very much split down the middle, 52, 52, without the Arab parties, our parties politically is not going to be possible for any party to create a coalition with the, with the Arab parties creating the majority. So I think we're going to have split government. And I think we're likely to go to a second round of elections, maybe even a third round of elections until such a time that the leaders can swallow their pride and sit down with each other and say, you know what? We have to, for the best of our country, you guys come together. And by the way, it's both sides. BB needs to do that. And the other leaders need to do that. They need to put country ahead of the personal ambitions and unite. We need a wide government. We need 80 seat government plus next time we can get there. If only people could, could understand that, uh, you know, the country needs it and that they should put their states should not put their personal aspirations ahead of the country's aspirations.
That is where we leave it. Yeah, Marcos. Thank you for bringing us such an amazing, amazing, as you said, a live Israel report from the Aishat Torah, balcony or building, overlooking the cocktail, overlooking the Western world. Really, really just amazing wishing you a Khakshamah Khan Ashabat, Ashalam. It is eight o'clock. That Israel report was brought to you by the blue agency. Your Israel property isn't good hands.
