It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire? Try them all only at McDonald's. Hello and welcome to the show. This is the cult of conspiracy, and I am the cage and knight. And today we are going to be taking a little look in a book. I'm sorry, you two old remember reading rainbow? No, I didn't realize we were going to get serenaded reading. I fucking might just serenade everybody, man. I didn't do it like that. Anyway, they look better on me. They do not. You wear mine.
I don't want your shit glasses. Whatever then. Shit. They are going to be reading today. Are you going to be reading today, Raven? No, I'm not. I'm going to try not to sniffle or sound like I'm like, I'm going to have a hard enough time reading this because we're starting off in Africa. These names are very difficult for me to pronounce. Let's just have make them up. I'm going to do my best. What are we actually talking about today? Let's talk. Let's do this. We recently purchased a book. We talked about it in the live. Raven Lee was there at the Barnes to the Nobles doing her thing as people who are readers are one to do. And no, see, I'm not going to make a joke. It was why women know readers are everybody. That's every demographic. We said everybody was there. You go to the Barnes to the Nobles, you know, and then you recognize a certain type of book that happens to be in the clearance section.
And it is this unexplained world of secret conspiracies. And so she picked it up for a dollar as you do. And just kind of perusing it last night. And it's actually a pretty very, very well put together book. It's not in depth on anything. It's like one to two pages explanation on a very wide array of conspiratorial topics. So as I was perusing it, I found this section where it says six more assassinated leaders. Now it's six more compared to like the other six that I brought up earlier in it. And I was like, you know what? I don't think we've actually done a deep dive or conversation about the majority of these six. Now we are only going to be talking about four of them on this episode. And again, it's going to be rather brief in comparison. We could realistically do an episode on each of these figures if the good cult members would like to see that. We're here for it. Good to go. But for today, we are going to be kind of briefly going through a couple of various very strategic, very conspiratorial assassinations from the 1960s.
We are going to be starting off with Patrice LaBumba from the Democratic Republic, or excuse me, yeah, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. And again, if any of the Congolese people are listening and I mispronounce the names, I'm just going to get this out the way now. My bad. I'm doing. I'm sorry. I'm doing what I can here, bro. Then we are going to be talking about the murder of Malcolm X, which you might think is an open and shut case, except his family is now suing the US government for CIA collusion on this. And they're suing for $100 million and they have enough evidence to where they actually might get paid. We're going to talk about that. Then we are going to be talking, we actually, the next one in the list is Martin Luther King Jr. We are not going to be talking about him because we've already done a deep dive on him start to finish. So like, there'd be no point in us like rehashing it. We'll read this section of this book. It's like two paragraphs on him. But again, if you want to go back and listen to the MLK episode, it was dropped on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2025. If I'm not mistaken, maybe 2024, I'd be forgetting shit blends.
But yes, the cult of conspiracy has already had our conversation about that. Then we are going to be talking about RFK, not RFK Jr. Although we are going to be hearing from him, but we're going to be talking about the actual assassination of his father, Robert F. Kennedy. And then we are going to finish off with Olaf Paul me, which you may not know who this guy is unless you're from Sweden. But it was also a very, very conspiratorial assassination. And actually, that one was in the 1980s, but that's going to be where we end this conversation. So we are going to get started talking about Patrice LaBamba in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. And I got to tell you all, this really does make me feel some type of way. Okay. I, we talk about so many different CIA operations, three-letter agencies. And yes, when we're talking about the 1960s, especially, the world was rife with revolutions all over the place. Central America had revolutions. I think there's like 40 of them that the CIA was directly involved with in Central and Latin America and South America, all over the Middle East.
Right? Let's talk about the Persian revolution and all these things. Like, it was a very crazy time. Africa itself went through a very drastic shift. And for that, there was a lot of countries that were pulling out from the imperialistic standard that had started. Think very much of the apartheid in South Africa, think of Belgian pulling out of the Congo, think of France pulling out of Libya. There's a lot of this. There's all over the continent. And with that, LaBamba is a very interesting case study, if you will, specifically because of the manner in which he was executed and then what they did with his remains afterwards. And still to this day, this is considered an unsolved murder somehow. But that also gets me feeling some type of way. You'll know that I'm a bit of a gun guy. You know the cage of night does. In fact, love his little mouse, the tools. And for anybody who cannot see what I'm looking at or holding right now, this is a G3, which is really remnant to me personally of the Rhodesian Bush War, which I absolutely
love this weapon. And because I'm showing it on screen and using it as a visual aid, this gun purchase is now a tax write off. If you want to know what the hell I'm talking about, then you need to come over at patreon.com so I ask cold to conspiracy podcast and come support us directly over there and you could see this beautiful G3 that I have. And it's amazing. It's actually one of my favorite guns. Is that the one that I full auto? No, no, no, although it may or may not have a fun button, which I'm not showing on screen. My thumb is strategically covering a certain thing because, you know, things. But no, this one actually is just a semi auto. It is a 308. It is gorgeous. It's really loud. I just discovered that there is a suppressor that fits on the end of it beautifully and actually takes it. Isn't that a shot? Yeah, you shot this. Yeah, that's what I thought. I was like, I shot this bitch. And because of that suppressor that we had on it, was that titanium can. We actually didn't need ears for it. So it was awesome. And I also love the optics on this. I will say the optics was pretty legit. The flip out for the close range or the flip in for the long rate. This is amazing. Is this one I ended up busing the target because I shot the shot the target?
Yes. Yes. You broke the fucking chain holding up the steel target. I shot the chain holding up the actual target. And also, it's just a personal thing for me. I love any weapon that you get to do the HK slap with. Like I think that's just so fun. Honestly, but anyway, if you want to see this beautiful piece of the set for this episode, therefore we're making it a tax right off what you do is go to patreon.com slash cult conspiracy podcast. Does it know that any further ado?
Let's start off talking about the very trifling history of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to read from the book itself. It's not a long read. Then we are going to go into more conversation about it because this one, this one's a very strange one. I've talked about the siege at Jadaville, right? And we're going to talk about that one as well because that was in the same year as this assassination. And as a matter of fact, the entire reason why the UN had to send Irish and Indian troops into the DRC was because of this assassination and the turmoil that followed. So we're talking about Patrice LaBumba. This is January 17, 1961. The first prime minister of the Independent Democratic Republic of the Congo was executed by firing squad in the province of Cotanga on January 17, 1961. So the Cotanga area is the, or they were trying to become an independent state. And that's what led to all the shit with Jadaville. Which again, cannot recommend enough that you'll go check that movie out.
Anyway, with local and Belgian officials looking on, he was buried, then dug up and the physical evidence eliminated by burning the body and use it as an on it. It's not just electric. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire. Try them all only at McDonald's. What? Yeah. So what happened was, essentially, they drug him out into the middle of the jungle, shot him, buried him in a shallow grave, then dug him up, burned his body, and then dumped acid on everything. Why? To remove any evidence of who might have done this crime. Why the fuck would you bury him to begin with? I could understand doing all the other crap, but like if you're trying to like hide the crime. Democratic Republic of the Congo is not exactly known for doing things, quote unquote, the correct or official way. To be honest, the majority of the continent of Africa falls into that category. So like, okay, there are some outliers, but yeah, this is actually a very, very African coup. Okay. Anyone. So yeah, like I said, they did all of this to cover their tracks. And his death was hushed up for around a month.
They didn't even know that they didn't have a president for a month. Wow. Then when it was announced, the official story was that he had escaped from custody in Katanga, only to be killed by angry locals, because the official narrative had to be that the locals did not want this guy. This was justified for the people and all this. There have been many investigations into his killing in the years since with suggestions that the US, Belgian and British security services played a role. We'll talk about those. The alarm that he was open to aligning his mineral and resource rich land with the Soviet union. The country, formerly a Belgian colony, had achieved independence on January or sorry, June 30th of 1960 with La Bamba as Prime Minister and Joseph Kassavubu as president. Yeah, certain countries have presidents and prime ministers and they're different. I don't know what the difference of what those job roles are, but just so we're all on the same page here. All right. Backtracking. You might be asking what mineral reserves are so critical in Katanga that we would lead
to this. The uranium that the United States used to create the atomic bombs we dropped on Japan in World War II were mined from Katanga out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. So I'm not shocked. Uranium, Lithium, gold. There's a lot as far as like the mineral rich area that is that specific region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. So yeah, I understand why that'd be a little bit of a conflict, especially back then. And why certain people would say that British and US and even French or Belgian forces had a hand in his death or at least in the political turmoil that became what it was. So there's very viable talking points on that. But I'm continuing here. The country, formerly a Belgian colony had achieved independence in June 30th, 1960, like I said. At once there was an army mutiny and the province of Katanga seceded under moist, moist to Shumbay.
So essentially, and again, they talk about this in the movie more in depth. This country separated from Belgium, which is good. If anybody has ever been curious about where the transatlantic slave trade really came from, you could look at King Leopold II of Belgium and what he did in the Congo. Is the absolute worst of humanity in a nutshell. Like Hitler, Hitler probably took notes from this guy to be completely honest with you. So finally, in the 60s, Belgium was like, hey, never mind. Sorry about that. Y'all are your own people now. And of course, Katanga being that resource rich region immediately tried to separate themselves as their own independent state. And they felt that they had enough minerals and therefore wealth to back the claim. So that's essentially what happened. So to Shumbay was a really horrible guy in this area as well. Belgium sent troops officially to protect the local Belgium citizens or Belgium, excuse me. But they appeared to back to Shumbay and secured to Katanga.
So again, what do we mean by Belgian forces? There is a very, very serious conversation to be had that the French foreign legion actually was in this area to protect the interest of this region. How could I put this kindly? France officially, in this context, you could use these two countries interchangeably. I understand that they are different, but in this context, they were both dipping their fingers in this pie. On paper, France couldn't, or Belgium could not send their regular army into this area. Even there were some private military contractors and mercenaries back in this time frame, but France before they, in Belgium, before they send in PMCs, private military contractors, they will send in the French foreign legion. And they act on an official yet non-efficient capacity in so many ways. Remember, we were just talking about Magvier Sorgh in Vietnam, right? And this was an American force that was sent into Lowsen, Cambodia to do things in the
interest of the United States, but they never wore US military uniforms. If they were ever captured, the US had no idea who these people were. It was this kind of thing. The foreign legion can be kind of used as a gray area between these two factions, if you see what I'm saying. They came in and they were sent to officially protect the Belgian citizens that were still living in the DRC. In reality, they worked directly for the warlord that was trying to secede Katanga from the rest of the country. Moving on, against the government, right? So these French and Belgian mercenaries, legionnaires, whatever you want to say, hooked up at the warlord and they were fighting against the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Meet the Red Bull Dragonberry Emergizer. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire? Try them all only at McDonald's. It's not just electric. But don't wait. These special savings won't last. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. Meet the Red Bull Dragonberry Emergizer. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire? Try them all only at McDonald's. The Bumba asked for United Nations troops, which were sent but did not take any action. We'll talk about that in a bit. And then for Soviet help, alarming the West at the height of the Cold War. So the Bumba, this before, it was assassinated, obviously. He could see what was going on here. And these French and Belgian forces that were there unofficially yet totally officially were backing the side that was leading to a rebellion. So he asked the UN for help. The UN initially didn't really do much. This is before Jadaville. This is months before him. And then he needed help.
So if the UN's not going to help him, your boy reached out to the Soviet Union. All of a sudden, the entire West had an issue with him, even though they were very sympathetic to his plight. And they wanted the DRC to be its own independent nation. Now you just called the USS R for help instead of us. He's like, bro, I called you all y'all didn't answer. We were gonna, yeah, well, the Soviets answered the fucking phone. So I'm going with them. This is where the conversation of who killed him. Was it CIA? Was it MI6? Was it French foreign Legion? Was it Tashambé and his militia themselves? We don't really know. Like, there's a real good conversation we had about each of these individually. But the UN doesn't help anybody. Well, this was in the very early days of the UN. I know, but they always wait, always. They do. And it was the Rwanda. Perfect example. Straight up. But like, oh, we'll get to you. Is there like really a genocide? Here's a picture of the beheaded bodies with machetes.
But is that like how many though? Like doing now? Yeah, the UN is a horrible or at least they were. I would like to think they're better these days, but there are so many instances still going on today with the UN just kind of wamp wamp. Yeah, but you're talking about Rwanda was 100 days. Yeah. 100 days. Oh, this one went for a few months as well. The revolution and all this shit. I mean, the UN is dropping packages and they're doing certain things in certain areas. But I mean, we have a giant famine happening and like basically, you know, they're, they're sending troops in, but they aren't really sending people in. With that in mind, let's talk about the UN's inactivity. The UN didn't want to exactly do anything in this case because it was still such a new organization if they would have lost or if they would have done something that didn't look good on them, that would have looked really bad, not just to the entire world, but especially in front of the USSR. So like the UN was very, very careful about which operations they were actually going to
give resources to and which ones they weren't because they wanted nothing but wins. They need to put W's on the board. 15 years though by that point, but they hadn't been used in a military capacity at that point. It was more for humanitarian aid rebuilding after World War II. There's all other stuff going on, but it was more for the bureaucracy side of things. This would have been one of the first, not the, but one of the first times that the UN actually sent something of a military capacity to a conflict area and they couldn't stand for a L on the board, especially this early. So finally, they sent in troops and they went from a nation that was very, very openly independent and always had been as far as the geopolitical warscape is concerned, Ireland. And they sent some Indian troops in as well. India has always just been in the mix when it comes to like military eight years ago. So somewhere India sending some people, by the way, I'm telling you, people sleep on the India military. They're not, they're not pushovers. They're not slouches. They're not, they're not comparable to the US.
Like we're talking to very different calibers, but I will say they're fired, they're, they're fighters though. They have some really good fighting styles that they do. So historically, I mean, not just the Sikhs, although obviously, but I was going to say I was like the Sikhs are pretty much fucking just badass. They for sure, their military track record, if you want to go back a thousand years is phenomenal, start to finish like an entire religious sect that specifically believes that military service is a part of their religion, like Mandalorian shit. So like they're dope, love them. However, at this point, I don't believe that it was the Sikhs that were going, I don't know. My point is those far as that the Indians went there and did a little bit of some what might be considered as some overzealous actions. Long story short, the Shambhase dudes took over a radio station and they sent in Indian troops to shut it down. When the Indian troops heard shut it down, they heard blow it up with everybody inside.
That's, that's what the Indians heard. Meanwhile, the Irish dudes go out. It was so bad. And because of that, was it all bad guys? Questionable. A lot of people would say yes, a lot of people would say some of these people were just like, they were radio workers, but they didn't have nothing to do with this. I don't like the lost lives of the innocence. I mean, it's also a TIA. Raven, this is Africa. This is part of it. You're going to have some innocence die regardless. The sun's coming up this morning. A hundred people are about to die in Africa. That doesn't make it right there. Oh, agree. It's not okay. But like, and I mean, the Indians, they, you know, they feel about human life. They're all about karma and karmic balance unless it's humans, then like you could treat them like underlings and dogs. That's, that's what the caste system in Hinduism and karma does by, by its nature. But whatever, whatever, that's not the point. Yeah. So what else happened with that? So essentially the radio station got bombed. And then the UN was like, oh, we sent military forces there and y'all did some
fuck shit and it looks really bad on us. We got these Irish guys out here in this town called Janetville or Jatoville. I don't know how you pronounce it, but whatever. And we can't give them more support because how do we know they're not about to do some crazy shit? It's a group that ended up standing its ground by themselves and running out of, for five days and then running out of ammo. And they did some like, wild shit to stay alive. 300 men versus 5,000 militiamen. And they didn't lose. There's a movie. There is on Netflix. I've watched it on the fucking badass. It is so badass. I just have a movie called the siege of Jatoville. Yes. Yes. I watched it. That's because of this. That's because of this conversation we're having right now. I didn't know that. That's that's why I wanted to paint the scenes so that we could like get the full picture of like, I will say you should definitely watch it because they did some wild shit to stay alive. And the troops themselves, they didn't even get honored because it looked bad on the UN that they surrendered. They just in the 2000s. I want to say it was the 20 teens. Finally got acknowledged as heroes.
Finally got respect in Ireland. It was because they surrendered. It's like, no, on a military stance, your boy fought tooth and nail until they ran out of food, water and ammo. They literally had nothing left. They started taking, absolutely nothing left. They started taking enemy ammo and used that until that was gone. Their only option was to fucking fix Bayonets against machine guns and hope for the best or surrender. And your boy got them in and out and didn't lose a single man. I'm sorry. That's fucking victory. Whatever. It's wild. It's always 300. It's like a special number. It was a company. I know. It's always a company size element. It was a gangster shit. It's always 300 just out there fucking slaying bodies. And so anyway, again, this was all happening in the cold war. So it had to look good for the UN. It had to look bad for the Soviets. We got this under control. Don't nobody look over here. And it was very quickly shown. No, no, we actually do not have this situation under control.
So anyway, long story short, LaBumba denounced, I'm sorry, Kasa Vubu, Kasa Vubu and LaBumba. These are the President and Prime Minister denounced each other. But the army backed Kasa Vubu and LaBumba was placed in detention. Quot on quote, he was recaptured. He escaped, recaptured and was executed. And then his execution of the firing squad is where all the conspiratorial talking points really come from. So we're going to go ahead and leave the book on the wayside for a second. And we're going to look more into the conversation with the compelling evidence. I'm going to go ahead and share the screen at this time. Once again, you want to see what I'm talking about. patreon.com slash code to conspiracy podcast. And there have been many books written by experts on this murder. So this one right here is a matter of fact, death in the Congo, murdering Patrice LaBumba. This is from Bruce Cucklick. Wow, what an unfortunate name. I'm hoping that's pronounced like CooClick or something, but like pew, man, anyone. That is a name. Cucklick.
Wow. Okay, so this was written in 2015. Death in the Congo is a gripping account of a murder that became one of the most defining events in post-colonial African history. It is no less than the story of the untimely death of a national dream. A hope-filled vision very different from what the war-ravid democratic Republic of the Congo became in the second half of the 20th century. When Belgium relinquished colonial control in June 1960, a charismatic 35-year-old African nationalist, Patrice LaBumba became prime minister of the new republic. Yet, stability immediately broke down. Immuteness Congolese Army spread havoc while Cotanga province in the southeast Congo seceded altogether. Belgium dispatched its military to protect its citizens, and the UN soon intervened with its own peacekeeping troops. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, both the Soviet Union and the United States maneuvered to turn the crisis to their Cold War advantage. A coup in September secretly aided by the UN. Quote on quote,
Top of LaBumba's government, in January of 1961, armed men drove LaBumba to a secluded corner of the Cotanga bush, stood him up beside a hastily dug grave and shot him. His rule, as Africa's first democratically elected leader, had it lasted 10 weeks. 10 weeks. And again, they just say armed men. We don't actually know which force this was. It's very possible this was USS R Troops. Very possible this was French foreign Legion. It is very possible this was CIA. Also possible this was local militia. Like we don't know. This got to be Indian for all we fucking know. It's all them together. Maybe. Maybe that's one of the each represent it. It's like I can just see the president reaching out to the United States, reaching out to the president of the USS R like, listen man, look, I know you fuck you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you. Fuck you too. Got you. All right, but, but we're both going for this mine. We can each make a little bit of money off of this and stretch our war legs a little bit. And we're going to take very little casualties. The Congo is going to suffer the majority of the deaths here.
So like you want to you want to have a quick little go. You know, just a little just a quick little dust up. It could be fun. Right. And that's that's essentially what happened a lot. I'm more convinced at this point that it actually was a coordinated effort from the two quote unquote enemies. Because how do you make the most money in a war? Control both sides. Falling it out. I mean, if they want to take over the area, they need to get rid of the person that's kind of stirring the pot. So yeah, I mean, they both win win. Essentially, which is this list of people that were assassinated were people that were stirring the pot, honestly. So let's continue here. Let's see, elected leader 10 weeks. More than 50 years later, the murky circumstances and tragic symbolism of La Bamba's assassination still trouble many around the world. Emmanuel Gerard and Bruce Cucklick pursue events through a web of international policies revealing a tangled history in which many people black and white, well-meaning and ruthless African European and American bare responsibility for this crime. So okay, if you want to go check out that book, it sounds wild,
but there's also more research on this. So this one is called the La Bamba plot. The La Bamba plot. No, I'm sorry. La Bamba plot, the secret history of the CIA and a Cold War assassination. So again, this is from an author who dug into all the history and one of them is saying they're finding all these people guilty. Another one is saying he's finding also these people guilty. I'll see the controversy here. So let's go ahead and read it. It says it was supposed to be, or I'm sorry, a splendid work of history that reads like a Cold War spy thriller about the US sanctioned plot to assassinate the democratically elected leader of the newly independent Congo. It was supposed to be a moment of great optimism, a cause for jubilation. The Congo was at last being set free from Belgium, one of the 17 countries to gain independence in 1960 from ruling European powers. Yeah, 17 countries in Africa finally got to cut the ties from their European overlords in the 60s. That's already crazy as fuck, but amazing,
but that also led to this situation being what it is, right? Continuing at the helm as prime ministers and the charismatic leader, Patrice La Bamba, just days after the handover, however, Congo's new army mutiny, Belgian forces intervened and La Bamba turned to the United Nations for help, saving his newborn nation from what the press was already calling the Congo crisis. Dag Hammerschold, which he's also in that movie, he's the guy that goes down in the plane. We'll talk about him in a minute. The tidy, sweet serving as UN Secretary General quickly arranged the organization's biggest peacekeeping mission in history. Bakesos was still spreading, frustrated with the feckless of the fecklessness, excuse me, of the UN, and spurned by the United States, forced all the spread of communism in Africa. The CIA sent word to its station chief in the Congo, Larry Devlin. La Bamba had to go. Within a year, everything would unravel. The CIA plot of murder La Bamba would fizzle out, but he would be deposed in a CIA-backed coup, transferred to enemy territory in a CIA-approved operation
and shot dead by Congolese assassins. Hammerschold, too, would die in a mysterious plane crash in route to negotiate a ceasefire with the Congo's rebellious southeast, and a young ambitious military officer named Joseph Mabutu, again, Apology Shaw, who had once sworn fields to La Bamba would seize power with the US help, and this ruled the country for more than three decades. For the Congolese people, the events of 1969-1961 represented the opening chapter of a long horror story. For the US government, however, they provided a playbook of future interventions. I love this content creator, Tom Fitzgerald. He does a lot of history content. And he's also Irish. So when he is speaking about the Irish troops at the Siege, he actually has a little bit of something more to say on it. So this is basically what this led to. And again, if y'all want to watch the movie, it is on Netflix. The Siege at Jadatville. Phenomenal film. The acting was incredible.
Everything about it. It was the boy from 50 Shades of Grey. I know. No Christian Grave. He was out there being Irish and doing gangster shit. So I mean, I gotta give at least a little credit to the actor where it's due. He killed the role. But he did. He did really good. Let's go ahead and learn for those that don't know about the Siege at Jadatville. In 61, a small group of Irish soldiers were sent on a UN peacekeeping mission to Africa. They were told, you know, it was going to be quiet. Not too much action. But then they were surrounded by thousands of enemy troops and left to fend for themselves. This is the Siege of Jadatville. So Belgium has just pulled out of the Congo after decades of colonial rule and left the country in a bit of a crisis. You have different factions, foreign mercenaries, Cold War interests and breakaway states that all began fighting over power and resources. One of those breakaway regions was Katanga, which had declared independence and was backed by European mercenaries from France and Belgium. And into this mess comes United Nations and among the peacekeepers sent was an Irish army unit. A company of the 35th battalion. They had about 155 men, most of them, young, led by common and packed Quinlin from County
Kerry. They were stationed in a remote mining town called Jadatville in order to protect the civilian population. They had no arm or no air support, limited ammunition and they were under strict UN rules, not to fire unless fired upon. The locals were hostile and Quinlin's sniffing danger had his men stuck pile water and dig deep trenches. Then in September 1961, Katanga, these forces backed by mercenaries surrounded the town while the Irish soldiers were at mass. About 3 to 4,000 men attacked the Irish defenders. And what follows is 5 days of constant fighting. The Irish men were bombarded with mortars, machine gun fire, round assaults and even air support. But they repelled wave after wave and hold their positions again and again inflicting heavy losses on the mercenaries. After day one, Quinlin spotted they were stretched to white so we ordered his men during the night to dig new trenches and fortify a tighter position. But after 5 long days, having run out of food, water and ammunition, Quinlin and his troops finally surrendered. But not a single Irish soldier was killed in the fight. Not just by being outnumbered by thousands of men being shelled and attacked repeatedly
and being abandoned by higher command and denied reinforcements, they hold out until they physically can't go on. Quinlin and his men are taken prisoner, held for about a month and then released. Now in December 1961, when they returned home, you think they'd be treated as heroes, right? But they weren't because they surrendered. You see, for decades, Jadokville was considered a bit of an embarrassment because of their retreat, particularly for the military leadership who failed their men. There was this sense that surrender men failure even though militarily what they did was absolutely extraordinary. And it took almost 40 years for the truth to catch up. But eventually, the Irish defence forces themselves recognised that Jadokville wasn't a defeat at all and it was a textbook defensive action under impossible conditions. Finally, the men of Jadokville received formal recognition for what they had done. The moment itself is simply a story of professionalism. It wasn't a notchel, a group of men simply and courageously doing their jobs. And the treatment of these men is certainly a stain on our history. But there has been an attempt to write this wrong. And their commemoration now reads, their sacrifices in the service of peace I remembered with pride.
So again, let's talk about it from the leadership perspective. They weren't given more reinforcements from their UN basically liaison, who was also Irish I might add, because the UN is just there for peacekeeping. Why would we need to send more troops? That looks very bad on them like they can't control it. And then once they were arrested and released a month later, all this, well now it looks really bad on the leadership that they didn't reinforce their troops. So the whole thing got brushed under the rug. If you've tried making the military a career for yourself afterwards, you wanted to put as much distance from the Jadipville situation as from you because that was a massive blimish on your record. That's insane. Absolutely insane. They got fucked over by not just their command from really bad intel about what they were stepping into, really bad arms. Like the weapons they got were very outdated when they got there. They were still using, they didn't lose anybody though. Yeah, they were still using water cooled like War War One machine guns. That's what they were defending against. Yeah.
And just doing it. And then they finally had to make their own Claymore minds from like, you know, Expended ammo using that as shrapnel. Like they did everything fucking possible. I will say the old boy that was in charge though. My God. Am I a Quinlan? Yeah. But he was also like, yeah, he was a captain. And because he was in the Irish military, he had no actual combat experience at that time. Ireland has been very neutral for a long time. He was a military historian. I know the fact that he was so intelligent though to plan this out, bought it out. To do what he had to do. Absolutely brilliant tactician in war. 100%. 100%. Well, of course, of course we're Marines. So we're different than other people. But it is like one of the coolest things ever that he did. But I will say I find it interesting that the UN obeyed in them, that everyone obeyed in them. And you know, while that's happening though, what's happening on the back end? Because while this is going on over here, what's going on over there for the resource grab? Exactly.
And what was all it was about, like they had mining execs that went out there to oversee the interests of the mines, which means they basically want to make sure that this UN troublemaker group got dealt with. It was absolutely insane. And again, I have to agree with Tom Fitzgerald. This was a textbook defensive posture start to finish. This was, in my opinion, like the perfect way to handle a siege. The only other option was to legitimately start using your rifles as clubs. Yeah. I mean, he wouldn't have worked. No, he chose the life of his men over the pride of the UN. Fuck them. In his ego too, which has always been a downfall for a lot of leaders in war. So he was actually an officer that, I mean, to the T cared for his men. And that is such a rare thing to find. Even in our day and age, real shit. Most of these guys are all about their legacy, their careers, what they can do to make their
deployment look amazing. Meanwhile, this guy's no, I'm getting my voice home. Fuck all the paperwork and the dumb shit. Like this is what is. It's that he said that the thousands of fighters were backed by UN mercenaries or by mercenaries that were from Belgian America. Belgian and France, which is why we're saying it was probably the French foreign Legion, or maybe even former Legionnaires that went, they did their time with French. They're just attacking like these peaceful UN soldiers for the shits and giggles of it. So think about it like this, Ravenly. You know how like sometimes we will send in our green berets to a conflict area to train local forces? Yes. That's what these guys are doing to the local Congolese forces. Okay. But if that local group happens to get in a skirmish and some of our green berets or whatever in the area, like, yeah, they'll put up some rounds with them. It is what it is. So that's essentially what happened here. The Congolese forces were the Catanga separatist forces, the militia, that was being trained
and backed by these mercenaries, quote unquote, realistically the foreign Legion. Were the ones that besieged and attacked Jadaville because they were trying to basically set up that know this mining town because that's all Jadaville was. It was a mining town in Catanga for the Uranium. And they just wanted to get a hold of it and say, look, nobody's using this mine for nothing else until y'all situation gets handled. And the Catanga forces were like, no, we're going to use the mine because of our situation. So who runs the mine today? That's a great question. That is a great question. And again, for all the co-members, if y'all want us to do a deeper dive on this and how that is played out to this day, also if you want us to do a deeper dive on the Bumble and his assassination and maybe even buy some of those books to read it so we can like throw in more information on this. I am very down. I am absolutely down. Y'all let us know what you want to do. But all right, let's move on to the next topic, the next name on our list. So now we are going to go to the next name on the list of assassinations that we are going
to be talking about here. And this is Malcolm X. Let's talk about that for any of that. Don't know who Malcolm X was or what he was about or why his assassination was so controversial and conspiratorial. Let's break this down. So Malcolm X, this was February 21st of 1965. The inaugations of FBI involvement surround the fatal shooting of American black nationalist leader Malcolm X on February 21st, 1965 in Harlem, New York City. He was a major figure in the black nationalist religious political organization, the Nation of Islam. But it received death threats from its members after a clash with its then leader Elijah Muhammad. We're going to be talking really in depth on this one. Here Malcolm X was shot at least 21 times while lecturing at the Ottoman ballroom, three members of the Nation of Islam were convicted of the killing. One, Talmad Hair confessed but said the other two, Muhammad Aziz, who also was known as
Norman 3x Butler. And Khalil Islam, who was also known as Thomas 15x Johnson, he said that these two were innocent. They were major doubt there. Excuse me, there were major doubts over the guilt of Aziz and Islam. And in 2021, both men were exonerated when it emerged that the prosecution had with hailed evidence. Their families were awarded $36 million in compensation. There have been long claims that there was official involvement in Malcolm X's killing on June 6, 1964 from FBI director J Edgar Hoover, who sent a telegram to the FBI New York office that read, quote, do something about Malcolm X. It's not just electric, it's Toyota Electric. And during Toyota's Easy Choi sales event, going electric is easier than ever. Right now, save instantly on a new Toyota EV with special incentive programs for first time EV buyers and prior EV owners. Choose the sleek, busy, the adventurous, busy, woodland, or the sporty CHR.
But don't wait. These special savings won't last. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. Meet the Red Bull Dragonberry Emergizer. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire? Try them all only at McDonald's. The J Edgar Hoover absolutely sent that telegram. That's not a hypothetical, it's not a conspiracy that happened. With that, in February, 2023, the family of Malcolm X announced that they were suing the FBI. The New York Public Police Department and other government agencies on the grounds that they had conspired to kill Malcolm and to cover up their involvement. Okay. Now, some people know a lot about Malcolm X and his legacy. Some people do not. I was going to say, break it down for people that, I mean, I think everybody has a general idea, but break it down for people that really don't. For sure. So again, we're talking the 1960s.
This is a time when a lot of cultural revolutions were going on within the United States. But definitely around the world, we just talked about a revolution in Africa. In the United States, however, there was a group that was starting to really gain some traction in Chicago. And this was, it was a group that is still to this day called the Nation of Islam. Now the Nation of Islam, we should get this out of the way now, is not recognized by any actual sect of Islam. So like the Sunnis and the Shias and the Kurds do not acknowledge the Nation of Islam to be actual followers of the Prophet Muhammad. Point blank, cut and dry, they are not about. It's very similar to the Christians who are saying, no, the Mormons are not Christian. Like I know they're claiming that they're reading from the same book as us and all of this, but like all these denominations, we're fighting. So over what these words are interpreted as, the Mormons are literally on their own shit. They have no ties or affiliations with Christendom whatsoever. That is how Muslims feel about the Nation of Islam.
So this Elijah Muhammad just like made the shit up. So let's talk about this. So break it down. Malcolm X was a very, very big proponent of the Nation of Islam for a very long time. He was very well educated. He was very well spoken. The man was articulate. And he wanted to continue on and push this message of the Nation of Islam to the world. He goes on what's called a Hodge. And Ravenly you probably know at least what that is for those that don't know. A Muslim has five things they have to do before they die. The five pillars of Islam is what it's called. One of them is make their pilgrimage to Mecca. This is called their Hodge, which is where the term Hodges come from. It's not supposed to be a derogatory term. That's supposed to mean that this is somebody who is on their pilgrimage to Mecca in that moment. But for all the forces that have been fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq, the term Hodges kind of got thrown into the mix on so many other things. But that's what this is. So before Malcolm X goes on this Hodge, he is very much a part of the Nation of Islam.
He comes back from his Hodge and completely separates from the organization. And there's a lot of conspiracies in that one as well. Why would he split? Is it possible that he saw the light, that he truly saw what Islam was supposed to be about? And that is not what the Nation of Islam was preaching because when you go to Mecca, Muslims of all walks, of all sex and denominations and backgrounds and countries and national words or whatever, they all make the Hodge. However, the Nation of Islam was very much a black nationalist group. It had nothing to do with Islam. It had nothing to do with the Arabs. It had nothing to do with the language of the Sanskrit. Nothing. It only had to do with promoting the black race over the white race. So Malcolm X sees this and says, this is not in keeping with what the Prophet Muhammad told us to do. This is not what Allah wants us to do as Muslims. What is this? He didn't leave Islam. He left the Nation of Islam.
Now and became a Sunni Islam. Right. And 1964. With that, there was some controversy. A little bit of fallout between him and the quote unquote prophet Elijah Muhammad, that raving piece of shit. And I'm very good with saying that the rest of my life because the dude he took it from, the guy who started the Nation of Islam, a complete common start to finish. No, he disappeared. Disappeared quote unquote quote unquote just magically disappeared fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud. Yeah. And for Arb Muhammad, which for the record was not black, I can't stress that enough. It didn't entire episode when we talked about the prophet, you coup, praise be upon him, and how the Nation of Islam believes that it took 600 years to make the white race out of forced breeding from the black race. It took 200 years to get to the red race, 200 years after that to get to the yellow race and another 200 years to get to the white race. And I know what you're thinking. Those aren't Native Americans that are the red race because Native Americans are black,
according to the Nation of Islam. But we're talking about the red race is what we would call like Indian and then the yellow race would be what we call like Chinese and then the white race. And so apparently you coup on the island of Patmos did this. You're more wider than us. I know this. You know this Raven Lee. We know this. But the shades of white like I mean, there are so many shades of colors of people, but the followers of the Nation of Islam to this day right now. But there's not that many though because his son took over in 77 and then forced everyone to go to SUNY and then disbanded the whole thing. What a sound Alchemist. No, we're talking about, I'm talking about the Nation of Islam. There's still, their numbers are actually growing believe it or not. Is this the dude that we just saw the other day wearing that stupid ass crown thing? No, no, no, that's the Hebrew Israelites. Oh, yeah. So this is, that's another very interesting group that believes that the lost tribes of Israel are obviously black and Native American only and that they're the only ones going to heaven. Yeah. They're there. Interview with him.
He's their hilarious. It is still on my bucket list to get two people on this show. One being a black nationalist from the Nation of Islam and a black nationalist from the nation of, I'm sorry, the, the secari, the, the Hebrew Israelite and a black nationalist from the Nation of Islam and have them argue about which religion is the true religion of the black race according to them. I want to be the moderator of this debate. One of these days. This says between 10 to 50,000 individuals nationwide roughly. Yeah. Which is a lot. 40,000 is a large gap to me, but I agree. But we're going to talk about it more. And then all right. So let's, let's break down the assassination of Malcolm X himself. Why? What was he saying? What was he doing? That would lead the Nation of Islam to get so mad at him that allegedly three of their members went and gunned him down. Shot him 21 times. That's not just like a quick one shot from a sniper rifle. Like that was personal and he was giving a speech.
And somehow three dudes are arrested. Two of them were exonerated. And now Malcolm X's family is currently suing the United States government. Let's go ahead and share the screen one more time and break this down a little bit further here. Meet the Red Bull Dragonberry Emergeizer. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire. Try them all. Only Adelaide. So this is from the eyewitness news. ABC seven lawyers are saying new evidence in Malcolm X's assassination point towards possible conspiracy. This is from 2021. We're going to, this is from 2021. The next article we're going to read is from 2025. So we're going to see how this is progressed over the last few years. So this is from New York. 56 years after the death of Malcolm X, lawyers said they reveal what they called new evidence of a conspiracy perpetrated by the NYPD. Malcolm X FBI to assassinate the civil rights activists in Harlem. The family of Ray Wood, a black man who worked as an undercover police officer in the 1960s
and their attorney now claim would wrote a letter on his deathbed confessing the NYPD and the FBI conspired to kill the man born Malcolm little. We would these days call him Malcolm X. Malcolm X was gunned down in February 1965 in Harlem during a speaking engagement. Once his family said in his letter, Wood stated in his responsibility or excuse me, his responsibility was to ensure Malcolm X's security detail was arrested days before the assassination. So they had out for him. Jay Gerover had sent that message handle Malcolm X. So this guy who is a cop or was a cop rather said that his whole purpose was to find a reason to arrest Malcolm X's security detail and get them out of the way for what would happen next. He was exactly what was going to happen next. He was only one one cog in this machine, but continuing the family said the letter further states his this move would guarantee Malcolm X not having door security at the auto bin ballroom where he was killed. The letter was put in the hands of Ray Wood's cousin Reggie to be released after his death.
The red quote, he was a good man that was tricked and forced to betray his own people. And he felt guilt and remorse for it for 56 years is what Reggie Wood said also the author of the Ray Wood story. Today Malcolm X is three daughters along with Wood's family and high profile civil rights attorney bin Crump are asking for the murder investigation to be reopened in light of the new evidence. Quote, so what we're trying to do is talk about restorative justice is as lawyers try to pursue relentless justice. And this is what attorney Ray Hamlin said on behalf of the legacy of Malcolm X, Dr. Betty Shabazz on behalf of his family, his lineage, who is here. So just so you know any name that you see with the term Shabazz in it or something like that. Typically they are a member of the nation of Islam or at least someone in their family was and changed their family name. That also goes back to you, Kub and the tribe that he came from that came from the moon three trillion years ago, according to the nation of Islam. Yeah, I know.
I just can't. I know. I know. It's a whole thing. It is a thing. Dude, the whole story of you, Kub, if y'all haven't gone and checked out that episode, please do. The nation of Islam is talking about Jacob from the Bible. They call him Yaku because there was no J in the time and frame that we're talking about here, but they are saying that he was a black gentleman who lived around black mecca. They use this term, not Jacob. I'm not saying this. They say this black mecca and that his head was so large that he was picked on by the kids growing up and called big head. And that's what led him to create the white race to enslave the black race, which he was a part of for the record. And this is again, Jacob, like Jacob and Esau and like the whole thing, the change is named later to Israel to found the nation. That's that guy that they believe also was a part of this alien race that made the white race. Yeah. Wow. It's fun. It's a fun time. It is a really fun read. And if y'all want to go check out that episode, please do. I thoroughly enjoyed that. That's right. I was president fall out of butt of a great y'all.
You know, you would think so. You know, it was forced breeding on the island of Patmos, which is an island of rocks, which apparently 30,000 people lived on for 600 years and forced bread their way to whiteness. Yep. A lot of in fancercide, like they, they hum babies off cliffs until they got the right shade they wanted. It was, it was crazy. Selected breeding shit, allegedly according to the nation of Islam. But anyway, three, go ahead. Nothing. I just, I'm too sick for this shit. I know, Raven Lee, even if you were completely good to go and stone cold sober and like in your right mind, none of that makes sense. Nor should it. They don't know anything about genetics. People want to give me shit for believing Noah's Ark, but these people get a fucking buy. I'm just saying the great flying spaghetti monster. Yes. We're just going to be out here. What? People give us shit for wanting to believe about fucking dragons. Oh, yeah. And fucking fake folk. You're out here believing this bullshit.
Okay. And these are voting people. These are people that got jobs, own businesses and vote and run for politics and like all this shit. Do they have some like a special symbol that they you would identify them with? If, well, not to just categorize, but if you typically see a guy from Chicago, a black gentleman wearing a bow tie. Isn't it the hat people? It's the hat people. Some of them wear a hat. That's the women all wear a shawl or head covering because, you know, Muslim, the gentleman typically wear a bow tie. That is like one of their uniform items. Not a hard fast rule, but more often than not, you'll see it. Okay. Anyone. So the three nation of Islam members were convicted in Malcolm X's murder. In 2020, the Manhattan district attorney began a review of those convictions after meeting with representatives of the Innocence Project, a nonprofit committed to exonerating individuals who in claims have been wrongfully convicted. Now with the new evidence, the DA's office said, quote, the review of this matter is active and ongoing. The NYPD released a statement on Saturday that reads, quote, several months ago, the Manhattan
district attorney initiated a review of the investigation and prosecution that resulted in two convictions for the murder of Malcolm X. The NYPD has provided all available records relevant to that case to the district attorney. The department remains committed to assist with that review in any way. So again, this was 2021. Now we cut to 2025 where we are assuming 2024 CBS news and now we're going to talk about how two of these dudes were in fact exonerated. Two men alleged police FBI conspiracy in 1965 assassination of Malcolm X. Again, from New York, there are new questions about who is responsible for the assassination of Malcolm X as two men came forward to point the finger at law enforcement. Wednesday marked 59 years since the civil rights icon was shot to death as he prepared to speak at the Audubon ballroom in Washington Heights. It happened in front of some 400 people, including nine police informants. It took place one week after Malcolm X's home in Queens had been fire bombed. So he was a clear target. The assassination remains largely unsolved, but we are now learning new details in the case.
Wednesday nights at the what is now the Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz Center in Washington Heights. Malcolm's daughter, Iliaza Shabazz spoke of that horrifying day. And she said, my pregnant mother placed her body over my three sisters and me to protect us from gunfire and to shield us from the terror before our eyes. Yeah, in front of his kids, it was horrible. In 2021, two men convicted in the murder were exonerated long after serving decades in prison. If I wanted to do it, I could have done it. So that means they knew what they were doing when they put me in jail. That's what Muhammad Aziz said who is now 85 years old. He's saying like, yo, I could have done it. I didn't. And they knew that. And they still put me in jail for 50 years. A third man, Talmaj Haer, who has helped, who has hailed by police after the shooting confessed and always claimed four other men were his accomplices.
Somehow only two got brought in, but he claims four. And he's still saying that to this day. And yet they let them walk away, Scott free is what the attorney bin Crump says Wednesday. Crump introduced Khalil, salt hard, Syed, who said that he was on Malcolm X's security team. He says he was falsely arrested by by NYPD five days before the assassination. He says I believe I was detained in this conspiracy by the NYPD and FBI in order to ensure Malcolm X's planned assassination would be successful. While so many originally involved in the case, including prosecutors and witnesses are now dead, Crump says he has long requested that the government officials release files still kept secret, which may unravel the mystery. Why don't you release the information? Does direct quote from him? Why don't you release the files? Release the memos, release the reports, the surveillance of Malcolm X. 59 years. How long is it going to take for you to come clean? Is what the attorney said. Crump also produced an affidavit from his second man on Malcolm X's security detail who
told a similar story of being detained by police so he could not be present at the ballroom on the day of the assassination. This case is still open. Even though there is one guy who was convicted, one guy's convicted and in jail, but somehow the case is still open and he's still in jail right now as a time of recording. Three got arrested, two got released a couple years ago. Is that what it was? Yeah, well, one of them is dead. I thought that was a cop. I thought that was a cop. One of them died. Oh, one of the three arrested. Yeah. Oh, I miss red. I'm sorry. Yeah, one of them is dead somewhere. I just was reading that. So there has been no comment from the NYPD or FBI. That was in 2024. Now we're going to cut over to 2025. Malcolm X's family files a $100 million lawsuit for wrongful death. Listen to this cult members. We here today officially announce the filing of about $100 million lawsuit against
the United States government, the FBI, the CIA and the NYPD, who we believe all conspired to assassinate Malcolm X, one of the greatest thought leaders of the 21st century. He says the civil rights leader was assassinated in a New York ballroom in 1965. The government fingerprints are all over the assassination of Malcolm X and finally we believe we have the evidence to prove it. I'm grateful on behalf of my sister. This is his daughter, actually, Iliaz Shabazz speaking on behalf of her father. Sturs, my five sisters, to stand here with a competent, ethical group of experts, legal
experts as we seek justice for the assassination of our father and that the truth will be recorded in history. Absolutely. So now let's continue on. Who killed Malcolm X? This is kind of the overview of what we have talked about the entire time and then we're going to get into why the nation of Islam had a big falling out with him more specifically. Who actually killed Malcolm X? Three men were convicted of his murder in 1966. Two of them were innocent but they were convicted nonetheless. Together these two men served 42 years in prison and in the late 1970s, William Konsler, the great progressive lawyer, tried unsuccessfully to get the case reopened, presenting all kinds of new evidence about how the plot to kill Malcolm had actually been hatched out of the
nation of Islam mosque in New Jersey. It took almost another 50 years before those facts which had been out there for all that time were revisited in a documentary that aired on Netflix. The evidence they gathered led the New York District Attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr., to agree to reopen the case. In 2021, the two men after all these years were finally exonerated. Okay so again that's kind of the brief overview of all of what happened. Now this was actually a very interesting, it's one of these like street debates that you'll see like people that are out there prostitutizing and things. So you got this black guy who's asking a Muslim guy about the quote unquote true religion of black people is something that the nation of Islam is like big and heavy on and the Muslim actually answers would tell me about Malcolm X what happened there and this is where
we're going to really start the conversation about why the nation of Islam had a falling out with him. Malcolm X, the black man's religion, how much do you concur with that statement? Was this before he went to Hathir after? Before. Before he went to Hathir was the nation of Islam. Yeah. And when he came back from Hathir? He was there. Do you know why he changed? He changed. He changed. He changed. So Malcolm X, I mean after he came back from what he saw that what he was taught from Elijah Muhammad and that was more like the white man's devil. There's got nothing to do with the teachings of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Islam comes from the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and the Quran which is the word of God. Point blank. Muslims do not acknowledge the nation of Islam to be an actual Islamic faction. So just so we're all on the same page here. Before y'all think this is us just bashing Muslims, it's not. He do that for other reasons fine but like at least on this one this had nothing to do with Islamism whatsoever or the global into fodder any of that. So this is Malcolm X speaking on behalf of why he left the nation of Islam.
This was in an interview that for some reason got just kind of brushed under the rug and you'll understand why as he speaks on behalf of himself. This was after he came back from Hathir. He speaks with Elijah Muhammad and discovers these things. The let's just let the man speak for himself. Welcome. When you broke with Elijah Muhammad back in March, you said it was because the black Muslims were too narrowly sectarian and inhibited and because Elijah Muhammad had become blindly jealous of you and the personal following you had gathered. I said the first part but the last part I didn't say that Elijah Muhammad himself had become blindly jealous. I mentioned that it was his family and the officials in Chicago. Everything that I said always was designed to protect Mr. Muhammad himself. That is a very important point because of what he's about to say next. Everything he said up until that point for years was always to protect the leader of the nation of Islam. Always until primarily because the image that he had created was the image that enabled
his followers to remain strong and faith and things of that sort. I didn't want to see any adverse effect or negative result that developed in the faith of all of his followers. But actually despite the fact that I tried to protect the Muslim movement, if you notice, they used their newspaper to slam to me and to label me as a hypocrite and as a rebel and Mr. Muhammad himself said that I defected well in reality I never even left the Muslim movement. They put me out and they put me out because of what I knew and what I knew was told to me by Mr. Muhammad's son, Wallace Muhammad himself. They put me out and they put him out. Well now first of all let's find out what it is that Wallace Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad son told you. Well number one if you notice the the stick that I always used in presenting, representing and defending the Muslim movement was the fact that it had the ability to reform the morals of the so-called Negro community.
It eliminated drug addiction, alcoholism, fornication, adultery, loose sex, sexual behavior which meant that it eliminated bastard babies, illegitimate children. Well as long as I knew that this was what it represented and it gave me a strong stick, I could represent it and defend it. We had a law which meant which means which was that whenever any Muslim became involved in any kind of sexual relationship with someone to whom they weren't married that person would be brought before the Muslim community humiliated and then isolated for from one to five years. This was our law. Well in 1954 a teenage sister left Detroit and became one of Mr. Muhammad's personal secretaries and they're in the Chicago office. She became pregnant after being there for a year and she was brought before the Muslim community and humiliated and isolated and a year later another secretary, this time one
from Lansing, Michigan, came to Chicago. She also became pregnant. She was brought before the community and humiliated and isolated and become so essentially who's sharing the tea on this motherfucker. Fuck them. And to that point, listen what you hear Muhammad Ali say about him because Muhammad Ali was big with the nation of Islam. Yeah, it was. Elijah Muhammad was his guy because he was seen as such a strong proponent of it, right? He used to be Caches Clay and then changed his name to Muhammad Ali which is so dumb. Caches Clay was so much better of a name. He was named after a guy that actually started the movement to free the slaves and like doled tons of like actually killed multiple people in DC because he was so strong about his opinion on this. This is long before the Civil War. Anyway, anyway, beside the point. So long story short, Malcolm X, he goes on his Hodge, he comes back, he's talking to Elijah Muhammad and his son, the guy's son even told him like, look, if you haven't noticed,
my dad's got a couple of bastard kids out there. Like real shit. I know he's the leader of the nation and all that but he ain't exactly as prim and proper as he puts on and he saw the hypocrisy of this and he's like, look, if you're going to humiliate these young women, one of them a teenager, I'm assuming that was like 18, 19, but I don't know that for a fact. You're going to humiliate the public. 15 year old. I thought you said a teenager that came from Lansing, mission. 15 year old. I didn't. He said the first one was a 15 year old. Oh, okay. So now we have we have pedophilia and he said another one which meant she was the same age. So another 15, 16 year old. So we got pedophilia confirmed. We got fornication confirmed. We got bastard children confirmed and whenever Malcolm X was pretty much bringing this like, yo, no, if we're going to be about our laws, we're going to be about our laws. The entire community of the nation of Islam just decided to go after him and start calling him every name under the book saying that it's because he wanted to take the throne. He wanted to be the leader of the nation and because Elijah wouldn't relinquish it to
him. That's why it was started. It was actually an interview from Muhammad Ali talking about this as a matter of fact. Y'all listen to this. Malcolm X has stayed with the man that made him great. Told him everything you knew. Today he'd been big, big, big. In other words, how can I come to your son and say you are around for spanking him when you fed him, you clothe him, you gave him his name, you birthed him in the world. Who am I to come in and be the judge and say, why did you spank that boy? You taught him. We have a right to spank him. Malcolm X did some things. He said something about Kennedy. He shouldn't have said. Hutt and 30 whites died tragically on a jet. He praised it. And I'll be right, he's not the kind of man that I've been to. So he had to spank him. And after you white people that told him how good he taught, he should be the leader. He couldn't take the spanking. He had to run out and start in the movement. And that's when he destroyed him. He understood. Why did you destroyed Malcolm X? He might have thought, well, I've been following this man for a number of years, but over a sudden, I have reached a level of understanding which permits me to see that he's pretty human after all.
We'd rather not to stay here on the show and waste a lot of time arguing about a dead black man when whites are coming in. All right, let's let's break that down. Okay. So the official narrative was the fact that Malcolm X said some shit about Kennedy that didn't go over too well. He was one of these guys that was all about like, by any means necessary, even if it meant violence. I'm not saying Malcolm X is some sort of a hero. Okay, I'm saying his assassination was conspiratorial as fuck. That's what we're talking about. Okay, just work clear. But they are saying that because he made a statement about Kennedy, and whenever he praised the death of 130 white people on a jet, he praised it, Elijah Muhammad apparently did not praise this. And so he was trying to correct Malcolm X. And he couldn't take the correction. Muhammad Ali says white people want to kill him, Malcolm X. He changed. We white people's the reason why he changed. He basically said it because white people got in his ear and said, why don't you leave the nation?
Malcolm X had no intentions of leaving the nation. He left the nation. He was kicked out, yes. But like, obviously his morals and the morals of true Islam do not align with the nation of Islam. So he left on his own. Yes, he was quote, unquote kicked out, but like he was leaving anyway. There was no way of saving this movement. So whatever. But they are going to go out and say that it's because of this, because of this, because of this, because he was getting too big for his bridges. He couldn't take a ass whooping. He couldn't do that. Whatever. And then as soon as the reporter mentioned a direct quote from Malcolm X, he is actually human in this and this. Muhammad Ali immediately changed the subject. I don't think that it's worth our time to talk about this one. White people are our enemies. Like no, no, bro, hold on. Yeah, dead black man. And when white people are our common enemies, we're talking about a dead black man with Malcolm X. I think everyone forgets how much Muhammad Ali hated white people. Oh, he was really a piece of shit. Like hated white people. To the very end, by the way. Like I'm not going to deny his, like I get there was a lot of shit that happened, but my God, like there's, that's like grouping every black person together.
I mean, like all of them need to die. Basically, but that's, it's not that way because it's from one side to the other, not the other side to the one. That's okay. Whatever. But yeah, Muhammad Ali was a raging piece of shit. He was a absolute phenomenal boxer knockout artist, one of the greatest in the conversation for the greatest of all time, not denying that. Doesn't talk about him as a person being a raging piece of shit. I will say it's, to me, I think this was a joint effort. Oh, for sure. Another joint, a joint effort situation. Same with the male K saying with everything. The NYPD. The FBI and obviously the nation of it. I'm sure they probably went to him or like, look, we'll get rid of him as long as you provide the bodies to do it. And he's like, got you. And so they had all had, I'll get some people on it. The local PD made sure the bodyguards are gone. The FBI gave them the intel and the way about about him. And perhaps it was in fact the nation that sent some guys out to get him. It's very, very possible. I'm sure they were. I'm 100% sure that they actually sent people out because like, I bet they kind of cut
a deal with each other about this. I think they may have. And to further this point, Charleston White, which if you don't know who he is, he's hilarious, but also an amazing storyteller. And this is what he has to say on Malcolm X and MLK because again, we talked about MLK. The files got dropped on him. We know he was an absolute fucking degenerate. Like real shit. Yo, he was a Baptist minister. He was not a like good and proper man behind closed doors. He had all these crazy orgies. He was all about the liquor. He was, I think he was actually gay. He was an understeer. He was cheating on his wife. He was beating his wife like all these things. Martin Luther King Jr. was like a good man for the movement, but he was not a good man behind closed doors. Meanwhile, Malcolm X was very much about what he said, start to finish whether the cameras were on or off of him. So this is what Charleston White has to say on what happened between this whole situation. The FBI studied Malcolm. And when they studied Martin, one went in and spoke and came back to the hotel and pray
and talked on the phone with his wife. And they don't have no dirt on him. The other one went and spoke and came back to the room and poured it and fucked like a mother fucker. And every time he went to, that was the Christian. How do you know that though? Because it's documented evidence. The FBI said that Malcolm X was a saint compared to the doctor. It was very well documented that Dr. Martin Luther King was just like any man. He was a whole mongon preacher compared to Malcolm who has no documentation to doing anything such like the preacher. And they have these are very good points, very good points. It is very well documented. And yes, we did have the MLK files get dropped and the entire world lost their minds. Although people of the conspiratorial mind have known these facts for a very, very long time. But yes, Malcolm X on the other hand, they did very, very deep investigations into him. They couldn't find any dirt on him aside from his affiliations with the nation.
The things he would say as far as like praising the death of white people for sure. But as far as like dirt that they could use to blackmail him, they couldn't find anything. Martin Luther King Jr on the other hand, oh, they found all kinds of blackmail information. So that this is a very well documented and very well understood point. So now let's hear from Elijah Muhammad himself. And I do apologize for the audio on this one. It is not the best because it's directly after the death of Malcolm X and it's for that time period. But this is what Elijah Muhammad has to say about the death of Malcolm X. There's only a minute and 48 seconds long. But again, hearing it from the horse's mouth is a completely different conversation. Y'all listen to this several weeks ago. Since the death of Malcolm X, have you encountered any serious trouble or do you expect any serious trouble? I'm not a conject in the serious trouble and I don't expect to it in account with any serious trouble for Malcolm's death.
Do you? His death of Malcolm got himself had something to do with that. And I think the people were lying. This was something worth of God himself. Do you feel possibly something that Malcolm brought on himself then? Well, he did bring all of it on himself. If he had stayed with us following me, he would not have been dead today. He would have been a living man today. I believe Malcolm knew these things. In fact, about it, keeping all of God for some. And as those jealous, little, meek with some kind of faith one day or another. And so he was all of God for going for himself, as he said. And going contrary to the truth by telling other than the truth, it don't bring a person
to no good end. So Malcolm met with just what he preached. He felt, and possibly he was more interested in serving his own interests than a cause. So I believe that he really wanted to be that which God had not made him. This is the official word of Elijah Muhammad. Is that Malcolm X? If he would have stayed with the nation, he'd still be alive today, which is also a little incriminating, first of all. Second of all, to say that he was on fire for God for himself, but he tried to rise to a level of which God did not make him. Basically saying he got too big for his bridges and that he wanted to be a leader, but God didn't call him to be a leader. And of course, Elijah Muhammad would know that because he is allegedly the new prophet. So okay, there it is. So yes, all of this to say Elijah Muhammad felt no remorse, no sadness, no nothing when
it came to the death of Malcolm X. He honestly was like, man, you know, sucks the suck. Sounds like if he would have kept his mouth shut or done something a little different, then maybe he'd still be with us today. 100% help kill him. 100%. 100% especially with the other weird disappearance of old boy before him. And then he just suddenly takes over and suddenly has all this. It's like, oh, okay. So you shading motherfucker and your pedophile and you're doing all these things. Okay. Yep. So there it is. That's kind of the brief induction into the conspiratorial background of the assassination of Malcolm X. Again, cult members, if y'all want us to do a deep dive on that and really break it down in its own independent episode, let us know. I have no problem doing so as a matter of fact. That sounds fun as hell to me. So again, we are not going to be talking about Martin Luther King Jr. We did an entire episode on it, but I am going to read what the book excerpts says about this. So Martin Luther King Jr. April 4, 1968.
American Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was fatally shot at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis on April 4, 1968. The official account is that the shooter was James Earl Ray. On the run from the Missouri State Penitentiary who was later captured entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 99 years in prison. He tried several times to withdraw his guilty plea before he died in jail in 1998, and many, including the King family, believed the killing was a conspiracy involving the government, the mafia, and the Memphis police. Lloyd Jowers, owner of a restaurant near the Lorraine Motel, stated that in 1993 that he was part of a conspiracy and among his claims was that a Memphis police officer fired the fatal shot. So we talked about that in depth. If you look at the angle to which he was shot, the caliber that he was shot, none of this makes sense that it would have came from the place where they kept instantly pointing, oh, there's the guy. It came from down low. It went up. It didn't come from a balcony that would have been kind of at least close to an eye level
view of MLK. So just the entire thing started to finish. Again, I'm not siding with the morals and ethics of Martin Luther King Jr. What I am saying is that his murder was absolutely conspiratorial start to finish. And I also believe that's the same from Malcolm X. So all right, moving on to the next one here, we are talking about Robert F. Kennedy, June 5, 1968. A parent inconsistencies in the official account of the shooting of RFK led to claims of a murderous high level conspiracy in the involvement of three CIA operatives, RFK, brother of the assassinated president, John F. Kennedy. And former attorney general was senator for New York and a leading Democratic party candidate for the presidency when he was shot just after midnight on June 5, 1968 at the ambassador hotel, Los Angeles. He died the following day in the hospital. The official account is that he was shot with a 22 caliber revolver by a 24 year old Palestinian named Sirhan Surhan, supposedly because RFK planned to sell bombers to Israel.
We're going to talk about all of this because I personally believe Sirhan Surhan was an MK ultra victim. I don't actually believe that he and we'll get to it all. We'll get to it all. Anyone because allegedly he wanted to sell bombers to Israel, which America was already very deeply embedded with Israel at that point. Pretty much since Israel was founded, America has been locked in them with them. So this wouldn't have been something that any other president wanted to have done if that is a true statement, which is not. Let's continue. This inconsistencies include claims that his wounds indicated that the fatal shot came from behind and from a distance of only an inch, whereas Sirhan Surhan stood to his side and around a yard away. So there must have been a second gunman. In addition, some claimed there were 13 shots fired while Sirhan Surhan's revolver hailed only eight bullets. And for the record, I know what you're thinking. Well, the other ones went into him. No, he just got released from jail. He wasn't shot at all, actually. So he had a eight shot, 22 caliber revolver, but 13 shots were fired.
That's interesting enough. And the bullet used at the trial to convict the killer was switched at the crime scene, which is also true. The ballistics from the crime scene do not match the ballistics of the bullet that was provided in court. Very similar to JFK, how the magic bullet somehow just ended up on the gurney with him as he was being carried off. Totally not the real magic bullet that did the things, but whatever. In addition, some claim, I said that one, I'm sorry, but one suggestion is that a security guard standing behind the center was the fatal shooter. Another claim is that the CIA brainwashed Sirhan Surhan to kill JFK, then wiped his memory so he had no memory of the plot. There were also said to have been several sightings of a young man and woman in a polka dot dress at the time of the shooting who said, quote, we shot him. We shot him. The Senate ordered an investigation carried out by the FBI, which found all these variant accounts to be false. Well, I'll bet they did. So, you know, and I understand that RFK Jr. is not an expert in the fields of forensics.
I understand he was a child when these events took place. However, I do think that he would have a little a, a little more access to some of the information with the case than the rest of us, just because that's his actual father. I also believe that because of his high level of involvement with the government, he knows enough people within DC that he would have gotten access to these things anyway. And he also has eye witness accounts of the people that were in the room the day that this took place and they told him a very different story. So again, we're going to go ahead and share the screen and we're going to hear from RFK Jr. himself. Now I understand that we're only going to play a give or take 11 minutes of this and I know it's going to be longer and we can pause it to talk throughout if we want to, but honestly, the man breaks it down, start to finish. And I think that I don't think I could do a better job of explaining it than RFK Jr. speaking on behalf of his assassinated father, to be honest. So let's listen to him speaking with Bill Maher about the event. This is what I want to ask you about because I've heard you talk about this recently and
we don't, on May 26, 1968, your father, a medallist statement that we must defend Israel against aggression from wherever source are obligations Israel, unlike our obligation towards other countries or clear and imperative. The US should without delay sell Israel 50 phantom jets. Okay, a day later, Kennedy's strong plea for the defensive Israel appeared in the Pasadena independent, the article enraged a Palestinian named Sirhan Sirhan. He wrote in his diary, Robert F. Kennedy must be assassinated before June 5th, which was the first, the first anniversary of the 676 day war in Israel. The Pasadena independent was in his pocket when he committed the act. He was killed because of his support for Israel, says Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. That's not the case. That's not the truth. Well, you know, Sirhan was involved in the murder of my father, but he did not fire the
shots that killed my father. Oh, and that? Didn't he want to, but according to this, is that wrong that he read this story was enraged as a Palestinian? I mean, it's the idea that the article was in his pocket when he committed the act. Is that wrong? That could be right. You know, and I don't speculate as to what happened. All I'd say is that Sirhan himself could not have killed my father. And that's what Thomas Nakhuchi who was the coroner. You know, and by the way, my entire life, I believe that my uncle was killed by not by a conspiracy. I grew up with people. And I had doubts about that from when I was little because when I was the day that my uncle was, we were waking my uncle in the East Room of the White House. And I was standing in the four of the White House with my aunt Jackie and with my dad and
my mother. And John Linden Johnson came in and told us that Jack Ruby had killed Lee Harvey Oswald. For the people who are young people, Lee Harvey Oswald was the person who was charged with killing my uncle and a day later he was killed in the jailhouse by a guy who came in. A nightclub owner. What? A nightclub owner. A nightclub owner. And Jack Ruby. You know, deeply involved with the mob. Not the worst nightclub owner I ever worked for, but... Yeah. And asshole nonetheless. Anyway, and I had said to my, you know, my dad and my mother at that time, why did he do it? Did he love our family? Because even as a little kid, it didn't make any sense to me. Why would you go do that in public when you're putting your own life and say? And so that story never made any sense. And then, you know, when I was older, I researched and somebody gave me a book called The Unspeakable
and I read it in the whole story that made sense, but I still believe that my father had been killed by his or her answer and confessed to the murder. He pled guilty. And you know, his story is that he has no memory of it. And he stuck with that story for 60 years. So... But Paul, the man who was, there was a man standing, one of my father's best friends, was only beside him when my father wished that. And his name was Paul Shred. He was the deputy director of the United Auto Workers and he's the guy who recruited Caesar Shav as to the labor movement to the United Farm Workers. And then introduced my father to Caesar Shav as which was one of the most important relationships that my father had. And the first shot that Sir Ant fired hit Paul in the head. Paul survived and he just died less than a year ago.
And he spent the last 20 years of his life trying to get Sir Ant at a jail. Because he did not believe that Sir Ant got my father. And I just sort of dismissed what over years I'd hear that he was that Al Lohanstein, who you may remember, was trying to get my father, Sir Ant Al Lohanstein, was a congressman, a great friend of my father, started the Dub Johnson movement. He was later assassinated himself. He became a congressman, was killed. But he fought for many years to get Sir Ant out because the case reopened because he did not believe that my father was killed by Sir Ant. But I never looked into any details. I just assumed there were 77 eyewitnesses. Sir Ant killed Robert Kennedy. And then Paul Shreid made me come over to his house one day and read the autopsy report. How did he make me? He told me you have to do this. And because he was such a close friend of my father's and because he himself had been shot.
You know, I felt like I couldn't say no to him. When I sat down and read the autopsy report, it became clear to me as would anybody who read that report that Sir Ant could not have killed my father, which is what Thomas Nukuchi, the coroner, the most important coroner probably in American history, concluded also and sat in his autobiography. And here's what happened in the short story. Sir Ant fired two shots of my father. He was five feet away. There was, as I said, many, many. There was an absolute mayhem in the kitchen of the ambassador hotel. My father just won the primary. He said from this age. And now it's on to Chicago, which is where the convention was. Then he walks off the stage and he went into a route that was not expected. He was led into a route through the kitchen, which he was not supposed to go to and waiting in the kitchen in an ambush was Sir Ant Sir Ant standing in front of his steam table.
And as my father approached the steam table, Sir Ant fired it in two shots. One of those hit pulse raid. The other one went past my father's ear and hit a door jam behind my father, a wooden door jam from which it was later removed by the LAPD. Sir Ant was then grabbed by six men in a dog pile and he was backed onto the steam table. And his hand, the Grafrich Onsen who was a great friend of mine, one of my father's close friend, he was the de Kaffelon gold medal winner in 1960. He was one of the people grabbed and he was the one who actually grabbed his hand. And he said, Sir Ant who said, tiny little man, I've been to meet him in visit him in prison. He said, the tinyest, the tiniest little guy. But Ray Farsetti had superhuman strength and he could not get that gun out of his hand. And Sir Ant now was pointing the gun away from my father and fired six more shots.
So there's eight shots in the barrel. He fired six in the other direction, the opposite direction from where my father was. All of those shots hit people. So we know who they hit. We know what happened to all of those bullets. One person got shot twice and one through his clothing. And my father was shot four times from behind. So it was the same scenario as us. Let me just finish a taxi and a real shooter. Right. So he was a tractor. And the real shooter was behind my father who was a man called Eugene Thensay's who was a security guard who worked for Lockheed. He was a CIA operative. He was. Yes, just to be clear, Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin, military industrial complex, all the things. So this security guard who wasn't secret service led RFK into a kitchen that was
not the route he was supposed to take to exit the building. Like there was no reason for them to take this route into the kitchen where someone was just waiting to fire off a 20. Who the fuck assassinate somebody with a 22 also? I'm just saying all the gun choices to pick. Like that's okay. So all right, all that. And all eight bullets were fired from that gun and none of those hit RFK. So let's let's continue shooting from away from him. And from in front of him. Yeah, from in front of him, but then had the gun firing backwards, six shots that landed in people that they know of and then the other two. So then clearly somebody behind him. Let's let's learn about this guy. A vocal vocal racist who hated the candidates and he had been the one who led my father through the kitchen toward the ambush. He was holding my father's arm. He drew his gun. Right. And my father was shot four times from behind.
One of the shots passed through the shoulder pad of his, honorlessly through the shoulder pad of his, of his, his code. The other two were into his back and then one behind his ear, which was the fatal shot. And all of the shots had an uphill trajectory. So and all of them, and this is what the autopsy found were contact shots. So the barrel of the gun was touching my father's body or his clothing. And they left carbon, the discharge enough carbon tattoos were less than an inch from his skin. So they left carbon tattoos on his flesh. But the autopsy was an exquisite autopsy. It's called the perfect autopsy. Thomas Nukuchi, who knew what had happened to President Kennedy saw a topsy, which was, you know, loaded with scandal did not want the same thing to happen in LA. And he said, we're not going to do Dallas again. So he flew in the top corners from all of the armed services,
the Army Air Force Navy Marines to observe what he was doing. And his autopsy is called the perfect autopsy in the medical literature. And you know, he concluded that the shots had come from behind. And there were 77 eyewitnesses, who saw that Sir Han was never behind my father. He was always in front of him, always about five feet away. And all the shots that killed him now, it seemed so open. He fell and as my father fell, he, he must have known he was being shot from behind because he turned around and grabbed off Saisar's clip on tie. And you can see pictures of him lying on the floor. And he's actually lying on top of Saisar with the clip on tie in his hand. And there's pictures of Saisar without his tie on. Saisar pushed my father off him and stood up. He was knocked out when my father fell onto him. He stood up and was seen with his gun.
The police did not confiscate the gun that night. And they asked him why, what he was doing. And he said he drove through the gun to shoot at Sir Han. And you know, and then that's the beginning of the story. And then Saisar made a series of changing, deceptive lying statements after that. In the different times he was questioned over many, many years. I cannot tell you what happened. I, you know, I, I can speculate about it, but I can tell you that I cannot see anyway and that anybody can read that autopsy report and believe that Sir Han killed my father. And that's, you know, my point is that it ought to be investigated. I couldn't agree more. Yeah, no kidding. So again, I, you all understand why I didn't just like ramble on about that because I feel like RFK Jr. would be able to speak on behalf of his family with a very, with a way more in-depth degree than I ever could.
Yeah. And the way he just laid that out, based off the autopsy reports and everything else, no. Sir Han, Sir Han did not actually kill RFK. And as a matter of fact, I am of a firm belief that he was an MK Ultra victim because he has no memory to this day. He's claimed Amnesia the whole time. He doesn't remember being in the hotel, having the gun, firing it. He basically remembers like walking on a sidewalk. And next, you know, he woke up in jail. And apparently he just killed the candidate for president. Yeah. Yeah. It really does sound like a whole MK Ultra situation, perfect. Perfect lineup. That very much checks out with what we already believe as far as MK Ultra is concerned. So anyway, all right. On to the next one. So RFK, I personally believe very conspiratorial MK Ultra, all the things, all the stuff, right? And so now we are going to shift over to Olaf Paul May. Paul me don't know. Don't speak Swedish, but we're going to hear his voice and hear his words and his name
he pronounced correctly here in a minute. But here's the over under again, out of this book, super, actually really cool book. We're probably going to use this as inspiration for episode of one dollar book that I got. Oh, it was an added for a dollar. At Barnes and the Neub. It's amazing. But, but to the point here, so we're talking about like we just talked about RFK. This is the only paragraph about RFK. We could legitimately do an entire episode on his assassination start to finish. They summed it up in one very long paragraph. You see what I'm saying? This is like, this is a good reference guide to kind of find stuff to look into, but this is not the all encompassing tale of every one of the conspiracies. But using it as the reference. Now let's talk about Olaf Paul May. So this one was on February 28, 1986. Swedish Prime Minister Olaf Paul May was fatally shot in the back at close range in central Stockholm on February 28, 1986 as he walked home from the cinema without bodyguards with his wife, Lisbeth Paul May. She identified Christopher Peterson as the gunman and he was convicted of the killing
in 1988, but was later acquitted. And there are a myriad of conspiracy theories about what really was behind the attack or who was really behind the attack. One is that the orchestrated, excuse me, one is that it was orchestrated by South Africa because a week earlier, Paul May had given a ringing denunciation of the country's apartheid system, which is horrible in a speech in Stockholm and was reputedly a regular contributor to the African National Congress. Another theory claims that Paul May was killed as a result of an arms deal with India involving the Swedish arms company, Boforz, which Boforz, they used to make really great quality weapons. So, okay. So essentially it was a gun deal gone bad between a Swedish gun manufacturer in India, allegedly, and he gone wrong. While a third suggests that he was killed by Chilean fascist Roberto T. I'm trying because it's Chilean. I'm trying to figure out if I had to pronounce this one. I think it's T.A.M.I.
M.I. I don't know. T.H.I.E. M.E. Because he had given asylum to a number of Chilean leftists. Yeah, your boy was a socialist. Shocker, I know. The Nordic country is being socialist, but that's a thing that they do. But anyway, continuing on, but there is a counter claim, excuse me, of Chilean leftist. A further theory was that he was hit with, oh my God, why is this so difficult here? A further theory was that the hit was orchestrated by the Kurdistan Workers Party. But there is a counter claim that this theory was put about by the Turkish government to discredit the party, which again, we've talked about the Kurds a good bit on this show. Turkey, everybody hates the Kurds. Everyone hates the Kurds. So of course, if that is the case, and oh, it was the Kurdistan Workers Party, because you know how the Kurds and the Swedes are all about, they're not at all, actually. But Turkey would do anything to shit on the Kurds, if given the opportunity. So I could see both sides on that. We'll talk about it more in depth. But there, that I talked about the counter claim.
In June 2020, the chief prosecutor announced that he believed the most likely culprit to be Stig, Instrum. Instrum. Instrum, there you go. A.K.A. the Scandia man, after the insurance company Scandia, for which he had worked. He matched descriptions given by eye witnesses and had a dislike for the Prime Minister in an addiction to alcohol. But Instrum had taken his own life in 2000. Well, what's interesting is he was a graphic designer and was near the crime scene and later claimed to be a witness. And we're going to talk about this more in depth too, because this story changed over the years. A little key details kind of went sideways and then where he actually was standing at the actual time and all this. Certain things started unravel. But by the in 2020, when they finally were like, you know, maybe it was that guy. He had already been he had taken his own life for 20 years. So, and then in 2025, they decided that they were just basically going to shut this case.
Like there is insufficient evidence. So they're just going to be not dealing with it except apparently there's some people that are not letting this go and using AI tools to like figure it out. And there is a couple of other wild claims about this. We're going to talk about one of them that was way more compelling was the stay behind units after World War II. And so there's a theory to say that it was actually Nazi stay behinds or maybe even Russian Communist stay behinds that took him out. Possibly even America stay behinds because he was a socialist. But what we're going to break this all down here in a moment. I'm going to go ahead and share this green. We're going to play this clip. All right. And so this is from Axis view, the Olaf Paul May assassination. Who really killed the Swedish prime minister? We're not going to play the entire video, but we are going to play a chunk of it just to give us a little bit more background into the situation. Olaf Palmer wasn't an ordinary leader. Born into privilege. Vilege educated at Kenyan College in the United States and Stockholm University. Palmer had a sharp mind, eloquent speech and radical views that divided Sweden and fascinated the world.
He rose through the ranks of the Swedish social democratic party, becoming prime minister in 1969 and again in 1982. He was a staunch critic of both American imperialism and Soviet authoritarianism. He condemned the Vietnam war. Our partied in South Africa and dictatorship in Chile. He met with Fidel Castro. He criticized Moscow while supporting Eastern European dissidents. Internationally, he was admired. Domestically, he was loved and hated in equal measure. So just going off of these stances alone. Your boy just was pissing off everybody. He doesn't like the capitalist US. He also doesn't like the communist Russia. He just hates everyone equally. He's an equal, equal opportunist. He fucks Fidel Castro. He doesn't fuck without that. He's over here trying to do like the liberation movement.
But it's like it was more of the socialist workers party kind of vibe rather than the full-blown communism that was being seen in the USSR. But it's still Marxism nonetheless. It's a, I guess you could say like communism light, like diet communism. That's essentially what socialism is. Diet coke. Basically, if you break it down socialism, yeah, you're, you still are a slave to the system. You get to elect your slave owner every so often. But like the system's not going to change much. And you're still getting tax like 50 to 60% of every penny you make. But like, yeah, at least you had a vote that just took place. So like good for you. Man. But yeah, so just off of this along, he supported Eastern dissidents. He didn't like the communist factions. He did not like the capitalist factions. He did not like wars around the world. He, he was out there just kind of stirring the pile, which is why there are so many different angles as to who might have been the ones to actually pull the trigger. But let's continue. Palmer didn't believe in security.
He often walked the streets unguarded, refusing to live in a bubble. That philosophy made him approachable and vulnerable. Real quick, I can appreciate that. Like you are the president of your nation. And you truly feel like you are a part of the people. You speak on behalf of the people. So you believe that you could walk around without security because you truly believe that the people love you. And you're going that, like you're approachable. Any John Q public citizen could walk up to you and have a conversation with you. Like in one regard, I can respect that. A leader with that much of an open door policy. That's in theory that sounds great. However, this is the real world that we're living in. Yeah, I was going to say I was like, this isn't fantasy land. It's the same thing with like JFK, like riding around in a convertible. Like that's, I mean, in theory, like, okay, the president would ride around in a convertible to wave at the people. Duh. Come on now. People loved him and all this and this. But it's like, yeah, we also live in the real world where people are crazy.
Yep. So like, you know, maybe you should do that. Walking around the streets with no security ever. Or sneaking out, sneaking out to go to the movies with your wife. And that's when he was killed. They snuck out from the, from the Capitol building where they lived. And like security had no idea. Somebody had a tip off. Because there's no way that it just happened. Stance just happened to be the night that they sneak out like come on, bro. So you're telling me this random assassin would just happen to be out and about and solve this. The president was like, oh man, I've been wanting to kill that guy. Yeah, he was like, today's the day. It's my lottery. And I just so happen to have this gun on me and I get to kill him and the first lady. What a line of blessings. Just all into my life. You did the first lady die. Oh, yeah, they got both. I thought she identified him. Is that not? Oh, wait, no, she was shot. Excuse me. You're correct. Yeah, I was like, I think that she died, right? Let's continue with the story then. I'm speaking out of turn. Let's go. Yeah.
On the evening of February 28, 1986, Olaf and Lisbet Palmer decided to see the Swedish film, The Brothers Mozart, at the Grand Cinema. They did not inform the police or use security detail. After the film ended around 1115 pm, the couple walked south along Sveirvagen Street. At 1121 pm, just as they reached the intersection with tunnel-goltern, a man approached from behind and fired two shots. The first hit Olaf Palmer in the back at close range, severing his spinal cord and puncturing his lungs. He died almost instantly. The second bullet grazed Lisbet's back. Panic erupted. Passersby rushed to help. An ambulance arrived within minutes. Olaf Palmer was pronounced dead at 12.06 am. The killer had disappeared without a trace.
So you were right, Ravenly. She, her back was gray. She was injured, but she's good. And no security cameras. All they have is eyewitnesses to really question about who you might have seen. But I don't know how many people are familiar with this area of the world and how homogenous the population is. But tall white guy could be brown-headed, could be blonde. I'm not exactly sure it was dark. And he took off that way. You just described the majority of the male population for the entire country. Well, that and also they don't, you know, that whole thing about the witnesses. Like you could have 10 people see the same thing at all. All of them will recognize as different detail in and of itself. So it's like, it's so difficult not to be able, you know, without cameras, which is crazy, by the way, because we don't, we don't like the cameras, but the cameras help in certain situations. It's such a fucking, it's such a weird thing. Security cameras outside of a business. Okay, I'm going with, I'm not going to flock cameras.
Yeah, no. We are like street cams. That's, that's horrible. That's an infringement on our freedoms. But like, the problem is that they have cameras that are like hidden all over now and that show hidden corners and all this stuff. But, you know, we, I feel so bad. They were like at the movies together. Just trying to be sweet. Just taking a little date night, a little impromptu. Let's just go take off. We're not calling the police. We're not bringing, let's just go to the movies. Let's just be normal fucking people for an evening. And then who closest to him? We're at it. I'm out. Exactly. Because I agree with you that the assassin had to have known where they were, the direction they were going to be going, the route they were going to take to walk back. Like this, it was very coordinated in my opinion. So all right, let's continue. Somebody did something. Absolutely. The Swedish police were unprepared. Sweden hadn't experienced a political assassination since the 18th century. Initial mistakes plagued the investigation. The crime scene wasn't sealed.
Witnesses weren't interviewed immediately. Surveillance footage was non-existent. A massive manhunt began. Sketches of the suspect were posted across Sweden. Tips flooded in. Over the years, the investigation would grow to become one of the largest in global history. Real quick, I also could appreciate that. Sweden hasn't had a political assassination since, you know, the 1700s. So like the cops don't have, like even within their training, they don't exactly know what they're supposed to do. They don't have like a high murder rate, or at least they, especially in 1986. So like a murder scene, typically you wouldn't have to coordinate all. If you wouldn't have to immediately get as many interviews done right now while it's still fresh in the brain, boom, boom, boom, we need to get a sketch showing up. Did they run away? Did they see something and leave? Like, you know, there's so many different things. Can you imagine in America today, have a murder of this scale took place? And the cops didn't actually question any witnesses for like two days.
They were just like, oh, and they didn't coordinate the crime scenes. Like people are walking on the sidewalk around this area. It's crazy. It's to us in America and our day and age, we're looking at this like, what are you doing? But like, keep in mind, when did the OJ Simpson shit go down? 80. Oh, God. I'm throwing it out. I was in the 80s and, you know, that also with all of our tech and all the things, we still use that as a case study of how not to conduct an investigation, how not to handle evidence, how you realize he died? When did he die? 2024. Oh, well, good for him. You know, that is one of those things that man, people feel some type of way about that case. They got racially motivated, which is where did he murdered those people? Most people don't believe it now. That is so stupid. There's, we're not going to go off the stage. The same with Michael Jackson. He didn't hurt Nick. I'm sorry. What? Yeah, the most people actually don't believe that he killed anybody. Most people are ridiculous.
But anyway, my point is though, like even though in Sweden at this time, they weren't prepared for this, even in America with all of our crime system or criminal justice system, all that, we have fumbled the ball multiple times, very loudly and very publicly. So, you know, if we're going to cash judgment, let's make sure we're keeping it. Let's hold the mirror to ourselves as far as that's concerned. 1994. 94 is when the murders happened. Yeah. So eight years after this. Actually, he was, he was acquitted of it in 94. I'm trying to figure out exactly when it actually happened. When O.J. Simpson's wife was stabbed enough, you know. Yeah. But, but yeah, that's my point though. So, they weren't prepared for this type of crime to be committed. Granchied. I got you, but same time, even when we have prepared for things like this to happen, we still fumbled the ball too. So, anyway, let's continue. Involving hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, more than 130 suspects, and countless conspiracy theories. In 1988, a man named Krista Peterson, a small time criminal with a drug problem, was arrested.
He had a violent past and a resemblance to witness descriptions. Most damning of all, Lisbet Palmer identified him in a police line-up. He was tried, convicted, and sentenced. Then, on appeal, he was acquitted. The court ruled the evidence was too weak. No murder weapon had been found. There was no motive. Lisbet's testimony was called into question. Peterson walked free and remained a polarizing figure until his death in 2004. So, the guy that they actually thought was the assassin, he was a small time criminal with a drug problem. Clearly, he had it out for the president. I think the other guy was way more likely to be the person. We're going to talk about him more specifically, but he has more of a, I would say, of the two of them. Yes, the other guy is absolutely more of a possible suspect.
But honestly, I don't even know if I believe he's the guy. Really? It's possible, yes, but it's also possible that this was done by for instance. True professionals. A three-letter agency because this guy was stirring the pot against so many factions. And keep in mind, cold warship. It's not even like he was like cozying up to the USSR. And he sure as hell wasn't cozying up to the US, he was just pissing off everybody. And because Sweden, yes, they're not like a powerhouse on the world stage by any means, but also they are a respected nation. And they have a, at the time, a very decent arms company. And they could make or break a war front if they so chose. Or so the theory goes. So maybe I don't know, let's get into the theories a little bit on this one and then we'll break down some of the accusations. Theories and shadows. As the years passed, the vacuum of justice filled with speculation, the PKK theory. Some believe the Kurdish militant group had orchestrated the murder in retaliation for Sweden's
crackdown on its operations. Okay, let's break this one down a little bit. The Kurdish militant group, the PKK, y'all may have also heard of the YPK or the RPK, depending on which section of the world we're talking about, this would be like Kurdish freedom fighters. It could be Syrian, could be Turkish, could be Iranian. It's all the same tribe of people just happen to be located on different sides of a border, but still the Kurds. So Paul May might have said some things about their actions, their tactics, and he didn't agree with the way that they were doing business. All right, I got you. I really have a hard time believing that a Kurdish militant group from Turkey would have gone all the way to Sweden to kill this guy because he said some shit whenever the Turkish president has been trying to genocide them for decades. Yeah, I don't think this is the culprit. I'm just throwing it out, but all right, let's continue. The South African theory, others pointed to apartheid South Africa, which Palm fiercely opposed.
Okay, got you. So did the rest of the world. They would have recognized a black man. No, no, no, because all right, it would have been a white guy. Yeah, because Palm, it was speaking out against apartheid saying why are you treating the Bantu African, South African, the Black South Africans in such horrible ways, you're horrible, blah, blah, blah, blah. And okay, I got that. Same time. So was the majority of the world. Like the Americas had already had our civil rights movement in the 60s and granted we weren't perfect by the 80s, but we had already had our go at trying to reprimand and fix our sins of the past, so to speak. South Africa was still very much living in that system. And I get this, but I also have a hard time believing again, because Nelson Mandela became the president in the 90s. And that pretty much killed whatever remnants of apartheid there might have still been. That was gone. But then now we got to genocide there against white people. It's a whole thing, but my point is in 86, most of the world was talking shit about South African
apartheid. So him saying this, even if he was to go off on a whole tear and make it loud, I have a hard time believing the South Africans would have sent a guy to handle that, stowing it out. But let's let's continue. Could South African intelligence have been involved, the CIA or KGB? Given Palm Stance against both superpowers, theory circulated that either the CIA or the Soviet KGB orchestrated the killing, right wing extremist. Let's talk about these before the right wing extremists. So this one holds a little bit of water to me personally. And I could also see maybe a joint effort between the two. And that might sound crazy to people. Like wait, the KGB and the CIA are literally at war with each other on behalf of their nations. And I hear you, I get it. Same time, is it possible that both of them, because he was stirring the pot and talking shit about America and Russia equally, he didn't hold more love to one or the other.
Is it possible that the intelligence community, i.e. the black budget spy groups kind of got together and was like, look, we could just take this guy out. And me and you could squabble over the north of Europe later on. But like this guy's pissing everybody off. I could see it being a joint venture like that or maybe just the CIA, maybe just the KGB. They were known for doing some. In my six. Very possibly in my six is in the maybe move side. Like as far as. As far as Israel, how clearly is real. You know how the Israelis hate the Swedes, you know, but my point is to say just in a grand umbrella scheme to say like an intelligent service of some nation was a part of it. Yeah, if some nation, I could see it being more of a hit than just some random bloke on the street. And it's random bloke on the street. Look at you talking all British, even Lee, even reading British books, ain't you? I haven't. But I heard say bloody like last week. And I was like, I do it all the time and then people give me shit for it. And I don't even realize I do it. But yeah, no, I'm good with that. I've never heard you actually use the term. But for our Australians and British cult members, y'all are going to appreciate that.
Raven Lee is a very culturally diverse white woman. But yeah, no. So I mean, some random personal, the street, you know, it doesn't. It neither of the stories. I will say that one guy, um, engson or whatever's name is. In scrum. Yeah, strum. He has, I feel like more of a weight than the other guy. But regardless, it seems like more of a calculated hit because somebody had to have known their movements. There's no way that the old boy just walking by was like, that's the guy I want to kill today at 12 o' 6 in the morning. Yeah, just saying it doesn't it doesn't hold a lot of war on me. So as of this moment, I could more of than any other theory, I could see it being a intelligence group spy type of assassination. All right, let's continue into the right wing extremists. Domestic opponents of palms policies were suspected. Could he have been targeted by local political enemies? Which is also very viable. He was a leptist, workers party kind of guy.
Not to the realm of trying to lead some sort of like socialist workers party revolution, mindy means, but he definitely wasn't a, uh, a well-liked figure for half of the country that was more conservative minded. So is it possible that there was like a far right extremist that went out of their way to do this? Okay, it's possible, which is where the whole conversation of the engstrum guy comes in. I don't know, but all right, I only got a little bit more to play on this one. 2020 over three decades after the murder, Swedish prosecutors named a new suspect, Stig Engstrom, a graphic designer known as the Scandia Man, who worked near the crime scene. Engstrom had inserted himself into the investigation early on, giving conflicting stories and appearing frequently in the media. Decades later, invest. I just realized something and it's actually pretty ironic not to take away, but Olaf, no, no, I love you. This is the, uh, this is the crest of the nation of Sweden.
These two axes behind that, those are called fachismo's, which is where we get the term, or where the term fascist comes from. That's a Roman thing. It's like a bundle of sticks like intertwined and you have an axiot sticking out of it in Roman culture. If you saw a group of soldiers carrying that, they meant they carried the authority of the season. So like whatever they were doing was on behalf of him. So for this guy who was leading a socialist movement and having the fachismo on the crest, even though he's very anti-fascist, that's also pretty hilarious to me. I don't know why that just resonated, but there it is. But anyway, again, not to take away, let's talk about Stig Engstrom. I'm sorry. I just realized it was like, hold the fuck, is that a fachismo? Okay, sorry, let's continue. Stigators came to believe he had both the means and the opportunity. But by then, Engstrom was dead. In June 2020, prosecutors declared the case officially closed. No one would be tried. The murder of Olaf Palmer shattered Sweden's sense of safety and trust.
It left a wound that never fully healed. For men? Yeah, I would agree with that, for sure. So, all right, this is kind of the overunder and a look into the investigation itself. And we've heard a couple of theories thrown out there. None of them necessarily hold any more or less water. And maybe this Engstrom guy was the actual shooter. We won't know because he took his own life 14 years later. So, in 2000, he killed himself. And that's it. So, they have called the case closed. However, we're not sure if it was him. Very well, could have been KGB. Could have been a far right extremist. Maybe he is that far right extremist. Maybe he was actually not to just throw out MK Ultra, Willie Nilly. But is it possible that one of these agencies got a hold of a guy who already was a bit of a far right extremist and just kind of twisted his brain just enough to where he would be motivated enough to do this? And then years later, whenever he came to a census and realized, oh my God, I was the guy that did
that very much of the RFK. The Suron Suron got maybe all of these sound pretty similar to each other to be honest with him. Don't they? I mean, it's basically just the underbelly bull in the strings. The La Boombu one is different because at least he was like murdered, redug up and all that's not. That's so fucking crazy to me. But yeah. The AFRA could be wild and dude. But all right, so to that point, there is one more theory that I heard that I'm not, I don't like how much water it holds to be honest with you. But at the same time, there's points that are saying that it absolutely is and points saying that there's no evidence of it. We're going to talk about both of those also. So this is from the Harretz HAARETC. It says 40-year mystery did a secret resistance network assassinate Sweden's Prime Minister. Now, here's the problem. When I opened this article on my phone, this was a very long article. Like this would have taken me at least 30 minutes to read through and get all the things. Problem is, whenever I open up on my computer, it won't go past the first paragraph unless I pay for it.
But I'll at least read what we have. And then I'll give you the TLDR of what this article says. Basically, for 40 years, the assassination of Sweden's Prime Minister Olaf Palme has remained unsolved. Now, some are revisiting a dark possibility, not alone gunmen, but a covert network embedded deep within Swedish society. A part of secret, Europe-wide efforts to resist a Soviet invasion. So the most shocking event in history of modern Sweden occurred almost exactly 40 years ago. This was written in 2026. On the evening of Friday, February 28th, Prime Minister Olaf Palme and his wife, Liz Bitt, went to see a movie in Central Stockholm. It was a cold winter evening in the capital. As he often did, Palme dismissed his bodyguards and the couple traveled three subway stations to the theater without a security escort. When they emerged onto the street, they met up with their 25-year-old son and his partner. The four brought tickets and went in. And they go through the entire story, but all right, and that's pretty much where it cuts off on when I can read. Here's a deal. This article goes really in-depth with something called Stay Behind Units.
Now, what is a Stay Behind Units? Let's take a quick history trip back to the end of World War II. The Nazi regime has been shut down. Nuremberg trials are up and running, but here's the deal. You had, for instance, in France, the French resistance. That we and British forces were training and helping operate all these things while they were under Nazi occupation. Once the war ended, some of these resistance fighters went back to there to try to piece together whatever normalcy of a life that they could. Some of them wanted to continue doing some mercenary type, espionage, spy type work. So this is what might be considered a Stay Behind Units. One of these British groups or American groups that pretty much whenever he got deployed over in France, wars over, he just abandoned his post. And like, went to live in the French countryside and like continue doing resistance shit. Although he might be American, he's rolling with the French now that are doing this shit. Like gangster's essentially.
No, okay. And so we're not the only ones that did that. The Soviets also did that because while the Soviets were pushing in from the North and from the West, the Americans and British were pushing in from the South and from the East. Or excuse me, I got the East and West mixed up on that. I know what I'm saying. My point is, whenever they got to the end of it, the Cold War immediately kicked off. And there was a mad scramble to see which of these countries are going to be more of the communist side and which of these countries are going to be more of the capitalist side. Interesting. It's called Operation Glideau. Glideau. Glideau. And we did an entire episode on that as a matter of fact. If y'all want to look into this propaganda duet, which is a, all right, way way off in the West, but also it's a part of the Stay Behind. So it's in the conversation Operation Glideau took place in Italy. And propaganda duet was the name of the Masonic lodge where they basically were trying to run the country and do a military coup. When this was finally brought to light and for the record, the Masons themselves did not
acknowledge this lodge to be one of theirs. It was originally. They started doing some foul ass shit and then they broke away. This included the Vatican. This included the Mafia. This included multiple very high level members of the Italian government. This went on for years. And it even had multiple murderers associated with it. Yeah. They had outposts all the way in South America. Like propaganda duet had a very large reach. Operation Glideau, if anyone you look into it, there's been documentaries about it. We did an episode on it. But this to that point was a part of these Stay Behind Units. Yes. That well, it's like, oh, it's an American force and they were helping the Italian resistance fight against Mussolini. That's very good. The war ends and he's like, yeah, well, maybe I just want to continue doing some underhanded criminal shit in Italy. It says that it's Operation Glideau is the code name for Stay Behind operations and armed resistance that were organized by the Western Union, Subsequency NATO and 49 and the CIA and 47.
And several other European intelligent agencies during the Cold War. Then it goes into talking about how it was involved in the use, the usage of assassination, psychological warfare, false flag operations to delegitimize left-wing parties in the Western Union countries into sport anti-communist militias and right-wing terrorism who tortured communists and assassinated them, such as the something, some leader. Mozambiquean. Yeah, resistance leader. Yeah, we talked about Mozambique. Yeah. So I mean, it goes into like, grieved detail and stuff. But I just, I happen to look, but I was looking at Stay Behind this, brought up. Right. So there is already documented precedent to say that, yes, Stay Behind you, it's not only are a thing, not only did perform horrible things, torture, murder, all this, lead coups. All of this was done by Stay Behinds, but also keep them on the Russians did the same thing in certain countries. So it's not like this guy was killed by an American Stay Behind
or a Russian Stay Behind, it could have been a very, very equally could have been either or, especially because this guy was talking shit about both sides. Probably everybody just got together and said, fuck this dude, more over him. You know what I'm saying? Like, think of it if it was the mafia. You got the Russian mob over here and the Jewish mob over here. They may not fuck with each other, but they can both agree, yo, this new governor is really cutting in on our business. I think we can join forces to take this guy out for, you know, an event and get back to our business as usual. Like, that's a thing that has happened before. Now, with the conversation of the Stay Behinds, there have been some experts on the topic that have weighed in. So this is an article from Johan Winstrum. It says, Our Man in Stockholm. And he actually, this is his response to the article that I couldn't read on the computer. I read the entire thing on my phone and half of it is kind of going into the history of everything. And then the second half of it talks about Stay Behind units. Interestingly enough, that publication isn't Israeli publication. The, the hearts, whatever.
So let's, let's talk about this in depth. Recently, Israel's hearts ran a piece on the Swedish edition of my book, The Stay Behinds in connection with the 40th anniversary of the killing of Sweden's Prime Minister Olaf Paul May. The backdrop being a persistent conspiracy theory among private investigators, quote unquote, internet conspiracy theorists like ourselves, let's be honest, of the still unsolved murder that the Klandestine Swedish Stay Behind organization during the cold war was responsible. Some of them appear to be in the article. And while I welcome the fact that the author, Matt Staland, after reading my book, has arrived at a more nuanced understanding of the Stay Behind phenomenon, others feel that I have glossed over the possibility of the Swedish resistance movement assassinating its own Prime Minister since I don't discuss it. Fringe voices go further and suggest that I have been prevented from doing so and that I have instead left clues in the book. What then is the truth? The truth is that I found it's suprifles to include a discussion of the Stay Behind theory because the empirical evidence does not support it. Although I
approach my research with an open mind and did question Stay Behind operations, no evidence materialized. And therefore, I focused on those aspects that actually help our understanding of the Swedish resistance movement. The true history leaves no room for any responsibility for the assassination of Olaf Paulman. Why would an organization set up to protect the Swedish state and personally sanctioned by Paul May with his signature, authorize a decapitation attack on that very state's leadership? When I subtly probe senior figures inside the organization about the matter, they responded with genuine hurt. This leaves only one theory. A spouse in a well-written 2021 novel by author Henrik Bremander that a single stay behind cell acting on its own initiative could have pulled the trigger. However, how would such a plan come together in a strictly compartmentalized organizational structure in which cell members may have been aware of each other's existence but never met face to face? To be honest, that's kind of how these systems work. That's the point
because if one person gets caught, they have no information that they could give them by anybody else. There's been tons of spy networks that work this way but okay, conspiracy theorists will have their answers ready. Well, how about that? But as an empirical researcher, my loyalty is to the facts and to reason. As I write in the forthcoming international edition of my book, similar fantastical claims about other European stay behind movements also fall apart when confronted with empirical reality. The true history of the stay behind phenomenon in Sweden and elsewhere is far more remarkable than any dreamed up conspiracy. Here were people who sometimes gave decades of their lives to a cause protecting their nation from Soviet occupation that was never needed and did so out of the sense of duty. This is the story that deserves to be told. So this is the guy that actually wrote the book that Hartz was talking about and he is saying that no, all the evidence that he could find says that this was not a stay behind cell. This article is called an impossible conspiracy. Respectfully to Mr. Windstrom, I understand that he has to operate in the realm of cited
document effects. Yeah. The problem is this is a situation with very few cited document effects. We don't know anything. It's basically just nothing. So I mean, I think that it could have been very well the government too. I could appreciate the point that he's trying to make here to say like, okay, listen, I know you want to just claim it was a stay behind, but look man, that's not the case. Even though he just acknowledged that Sweden had stay behind units that were signed off on by Paul May himself. So you just acknowledged that these groups are operating and then questioned how they were operating. How is not the point? The fact that they were there is the point. You see my point. I'm not saying that it wasn't the the PKK. I just don't think so. I'm not saying that it wasn't far right extremists. I don't see it possibly maybe, but not really. South African people because he talked shit about apartheid. I don't really see that CIA KGB, okay, but then that kind of ties into the conversation of the stay behinds, which is why personally, just Jacob speaking
on behalf of Jacob, I think that is the more likely culprit of this whole ordeal. Yeah, I agree. I think that's probably the situation with it several of these to be honest with you. Absolutely. So good, cult members. We are going to wrap up this episode. This was a fun little look into four more well-known yet not so talked about these days assassinations that took place.
