About this episode
With 100 days to the 2027 general election, preparations are already gathering momentum as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, steps up efforts to get the country ready for another major electoral contest.
The commission says Nigeria’s voter register has now surpassed 103 million, while nationwide collection of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, is set to begin on October 9. INEC has also acquired 57,000 new Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, machines as part of efforts to strengthen the electoral process.
But beyond the preparations by the electoral body, how ready are the political parties, the security agencies and, most importantly, the voters themselves?
Today on Nigeria Daily, we are looking at 100 days to the 2027 general election: Are Nigerians ready for another election?
