And what's the one thing many homeowners have but rarely think about? It's equity. It's something that can quietly grow over time while you're busy living your life. And for many homeowners, it can be an opportunity they haven't explored. Whether you're planning home improvements or preparing for whatever comes next, your home's equity may be able to help you. It's important to understand what's available and to find out the right option to fix your goals. For me, I wanted to put a pool in my backyard and finish my basement. I didn't have the money available. So I went to Stockton Mortgage.
They found the equity that already built up in my house was able to use to fill my pool and finish the basement. I would have been able to do it without them. At Stockton Mortgage, they'll walk you through the possibilities, answer your questions and help you understand your next step. Welcome back, our number two, taking sports radio. Couple things, our remote tomorrow, is it Don Franklin, what? G-M-C. Don Franklin Buick GMC on Richmond Road, right? Yes. Don Franklin Buick GMC on Richmond Road, come on out. There's a rumor that maybe some good stuff will happen there. Wanting none, huh? So you want to come out tomorrow, 10 to noon, whether it should be good, and we will be out there tomorrow. Saturday, our pregame show is at 3.30?
I guess it's 3.35. 3.55. So the game's at 7.30. So at 3, location announced tomorrow. Okay. Could be walk-ons, problem is, walk-ons part of it has been rented out by OSU fans. As if really. Yeah, because it's an OSU, they start. So we're still seeing what's, if there's going to be a place for Kentucky people, if there is, we will do it. If not, we also might be at the stadium. To have a day. That was awesome. We did it at the stadium the first game. So we'll see it's, that is a to be determined, but it's at 3 o'clock either way for those of you listening at home. So keep that in mind. And by the way, we play our first basketball game next week. A week from tomorrow, we're a week from tomorrow's basketball game. We're about to have the Friday Saturday day double headers. Travis Ford and Arkansas Little Rock. Travis Ford's coming to Travis Ford's coming to town with his arc and taking us on. So we finally learned the times yesterday. We did. We'll talk about that in a minute. The times are pretty normal.
Only one, I'm sorry, game, but that's all right. 859-288-02287. Let's go over a couple of little pieces of non-UK news. Tomorrow morning at 830 in the morning, maybe on your way to remote, you can pay $5,000 and meet Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson. 830 in the morning in Lexington, $5,000. It's a fundraiser for the guy that's running here. You still worked for Matt Baton. What's his name? Alvarado. Alvarado. Who's running against Zach? Don't call me Finis Dimbo. I'm Zach Dimbo. That's how you sound. The only thing you know about that race is that, right? Just how he sounds. I used to be a naming pilot. I'm Zach Dimbo. That's very nice. Zach, I also don't think that's how he sounds. That's exactly how he sounds. There's no doubt. Well, anyway. So we got McConnell and now we have Zach Dimbo from Ron Lippen.
Those are your two politicians and impersonations. Yeah, I can't do an Alvarado yet. I'll work on one. Yeah, oh, that means you're considering it. Tomorrow, Dave, you like that. So like, you can kind of do a debate later on, right? Well, I can impersonate anyone in his commercials. All he does is lift these hands up. Why would you see that? Why did why? Why don't you why don't you have even lift his shoulders all the way up? He does not. He does not do that. You're, they say your groceries could cost $10. Could cost a hundred and he goes, put these hands up here. Your car repair can be $100. It's $1,000. Put your hands up in the air. You think I'm a roller coaster? You really are. You need to do your own political analysis of this right. I'll break it down. It say it seems like it. Well, Mike Johnson's speaker of the house is coming for Alvarado. And if you give him $5,000, he will take a picture. I liked it. 3500, you get a picture with Alvarado.
Oh, man. Is there like a two for one rate where I can get both for seven thousand or something? I don't know. Is there anyone you would give $5,000 to take a picture with? No way. Holds it in. Not even Darryl Shrucker. Rick, is there anyone you would give $5,000 to take a picture with? No. No. No way. Nobody. Zero people on the planet. Zero. And if you are going tomorrow, you have way too many $5,000 is you should share them with other people. No one should share them. No one should share them. You're better just to give your friend $5,000. Yeah. I wouldn't stop walking to take a picture with Mike Johnson for free. That's a good question. Mike Johnson comes up here. Says, would you like a picture? I could not be inconvenience to take the top. Maybe he came to remote as a fan. Yeah, if it's like that, but if it was like, hey, Drew, come get your picture with Mike Johnson. No. I have other things I could be doing. Tell the story about when you were going to take a picture with Jeff Burton.
Yeah. It was probably back in the day in Madisonville. Jeff Burton and NASCAR driver was doing a signing. And I guess it was, I think I was working. So it would have been a crow, grow, grow, grow. And he came up to me. I was in high school as a kid and he takes my hat and he goes to sign it. And I just jerked it back like, I'm right on my damn hat. I got it. Give me back my hat, Jeff. Okay. He was kind of shook him, but also I liked the hat. It was like a Kentucky hat. I don't need your name on it. So he just like thought you know, yeah. I mean, maybe I confused him by standing there with a hat on, but I didn't want his signature. I like the idea that Jeff Burton just walks around side of people's hats. Not mine. Get back here son. So you say give it back. Yeah. I don't want you right on my hat. It's a boss move right there drew Franklin. Like that. Okay. So how many people do you think will show up for the Mike Johnson photo? Well, I mean, they will because they're trying to like, it's all political things. They're just trying to buy money or like buy influence. So this is like the ham. It's not about the photo. Just about giving Mike Johnson five thousand.
They're asking who is it that would pay? It's paying five thousand dollars because they want to picture with Mike Johnson. The answer is no one. Okay. I was just worried about society. But the answer is who wants to give five thousand dollars to try to get this dude elected. Then yes, I do think there are people that will do that because they're like, that's what they think they need to do. But no one is paying for his picture. I can't imagine. Hey, 30 in the morning on the Friday. I don't want to picture with anyone at 8 30 in the morning on Friday. I'm trying to, is there a sneaky way to get around not making a political donation? Shall they say? I mean, you want to sneak in and get a picture with Mike Johnson. Like you were, you're trying to game the system so you can get a picture with Mike Johnson. Yeah. Why don't you go to this breakfast? Just give me a picture with Mike Johnson. I mean, we could probably make this happen. I don't even know who Mike Johnson is. If he walked in right now, we would you know who that is?
It's not a clue. I like that you're trying to scheme your way in to get a picture with a person that you don't even know who he is. I don't even know who that is and do not care. But folks, I know there's somebody out there listening who could get Ryan into that thing and get a picture with Mike Johnson. It's 8 30 in the morning. That's. Okay. That's a good question. Before we have a caller who called and said, I'll get you in for free to get a picture with Mike Johnson. You just have to be there at 8 30. But I got it. I get the picture for free. Yes. With the person you don't know. The person I don't know. I'll snuggle up to the wrong person probably. Oh, you think you would walk into somebody else and take a picture. Take a picture. I hear him. I'm here. Mike, get a selfie. That's so Ryan, by the way, isn't interested. Wouldn't pay. But would love to sneak in and get it. It's for your photo. That's good content right there. All right. He's doing it for the show. Here's what I'll say to the Mike Johnson people if you're listening. Ryan, let me walk up. Will you get up? I would get up and I'll put on my brown suit.
Oh, we're now. We didn't do that. You get dressed up right? You can contact Ryan. He can go show up with Mike Johnson. I'm in. Please take it like you took it with Biden. And please do that. Will you took that one? That way you can show it to five. You're by partisanly creepy. That's true. And you got to throw your arms up like Alvarado to him. If you can do that one more time, there your arms up. Could cost a hundred. Could cost a thousand. What a little though. What? Did you see the Yankees catch? Yes. So what do we think? It was absolutely fan interference. But if I was that guy, I wrote it down the same thing. I would have tried to catch it. Did you see them celebrating the replay? Like the group of guys, they show the replay in there. Like so proud of themselves. Because they're on the replay. Yeah. Did he catch it? The fan, when off he's hands, he deflected it back into the field or up into the stand.
Yeah up in the stands. Okay. I actually thought the the ref got the right call, the umpire. Because if he hadn't interfered, the guy from first probably would have scored. Probably would have scored. And the guy would have probably gotten a double. Looks like it's going to hit the top of the wall. Yeah. You agree it wasn't going to go up? I don't think so. I don't think it was either. So you don't think the Yankees like should blame this dude on their loss. I'm sure Yankees is. I'm sure that's happening today. Yeah. By the way, this would be a great day to host sports talk radio in New York. It's all the show will be. It would all you just open up the phones and then what about that guy? So what happens to that guy? Oh, he is. Is he been identified yet? I'm sure he has. Sure he has. Sure he has. It's his life. What's happening to his life? Cause I still remember the kids that Michael Mayor. I still remember the kids name from the 90s. He was treated as a hero. He was because they helped the Yankees because they didn't call interference. They actually created the rule because of that kid. He helped the Yankees. But he was like, he was became a superstar.
Yeah. And let me think about that. 30 years later, I still remember his name. People still remember Steve. What's going to happen to this guy? I wouldn't think it'd be positive. It doesn't help. They lost about one, right? Yes. And they're out. And that's some minutes into their season. They're out. They shouldn't be the deciding factor losing by one. But they wouldn't want to. But they wouldn't want to. I mean, like if he didn't do it, the same result would have occurred. I'm with you, but people will, the losing by one does not help him. People will still make that connection, even though it's, it's not fair. They can't even out of the game. I don't know. Check on Lunders. See if they found out what his name is. I'm not, I mean, I'm not trying to, but like, like I said, if I was that guy, I'm sure the internet and city of identified. There's no doubt. They've been called out probably by the end of that inning. They figured out who he was. Do you feel bad for it? Yeah. But like I said, I would have done the same thing. I would have tried to catch it. It's coming right out. So you feel bad for it? I do. I do too. I've told you this for many years on this show, I'm always fascinated by people who in a split
second have their life either completely change or the world spotlight on them. And all of a sudden, like your life is never the same after that moment. We about remember the couple at the Coldplay concert. I felt sorry for that couple, sort of, even though they shouldn't have been cheating. They didn't ask for that. They're just going to the concert. So I do wonder about this. And it's probably just human reaction. It's a human reaction. There's the ball. I'm going to catch the ball. And if he does this in June and the Yankees win, no one even thinks about it. But the same reaction just because how it all played out. So they have his name? I haven't seen it anywhere. Okay. Not obvious on the internet if it's, maybe they won't, maybe they won't find it. But a lot of people comparing it to the, the one that, the kid. And then do Alipa was sitting right behind, did you see that? She was right behind home plate. I didn't see that with the guy. What's his name? The, the actor that's all British and handsome. And that all of them now. Calum.
Oh, that's a person. Turner. Yeah, that's a thing, right? Yeah, they were sitting right behind home plate. Do Alipa. You don't see that a lot. You don't see a lot where the celebrity sits right behind home plate. So you're just looking at him the whole time. There's out there amongst them too. Yeah. Yeah. And Marlon's man was sitting next to him. Yeah. But do Alipa was like, if you made me bum, that one. Yeah. She was doing that during the game. I didn't want to. Okay. Oh, did you watch my braves? You lost, right? Lost. Ronald Nacoonia is the internet's not being kind. They boot him. He was awful. He has more MVP awards than postseason RBI in the last six years. Wow. Really? But he seemed to most. He seemed sad that you all booed him. It was sad watching him get booed. They're putting James Harden over his on his face now, like comparing him to him. I mean, he did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yeah. And it was the Dodgers. You didn't think you were going to win. You were at home, though. If Akunia gives you anything in the series, maybe.
Because I mean, you're in all the games. You still want an LA. Yeah. Well, he was disappointing. That's my guy. I think the KSR curve. I think I cursed him. Yeah. It looked like he looked sad. I didn't. I didn't heard anything about it, but I felt bad. It's not like I'm a reds fan or anything, but it hurts. Corvredhimp.com. Every time it airs, people get excited. What's the name of the place that you're doing it for? Here. What's the name of the place? It's in downtown Lexington. It's like droolers. I really hate the way I say that word. But what's the name of the place? It's like a droolie downtown Lexington. It's not called jewelry. It has a name. Can I give you a secret? You need to know the name of the company you endorse. Yeah, I know the name. We'll say it. It's like droolers in downtown Lexington. It's not just called jewelers. It has a name. It's like a store is not just called store. You can look it up.
You can look it up. I'm trying to get you to give a free plug here so to help your advertiser, you need to know the name of it. He's going to look it up. All right. I'm trying to help you. You have. And this will help them that we're doing this conversation. But it's important to know you continue to grow because I want you to get all of them. All the endorsements. Right? Absolutely. Okay. What? Mario would have all of them. I want to turn on my radio one day. I do. Right now it's Ryan and Ryan. Ryan and Ryan. I want to hear Mario. Because Ryan charges $20 to endorse anything. All right. Go ahead. It's called Lexington jewelers. Oh, over on third street. Yeah. That's what you need to know about it is what Drew just said. You say Lexington jewelers. And it's on third street. Yep. All right. And what's it called again? Lexington Drewler. It sounds like you're saying Lexington Drewlers.
Which would be a business that you wouldn't want to go into. Lexington Drewler. It's a flopper everywhere. You're just walking. I love you. I love you. I love you. Sounds like we're with Max. They don't pronounce their D's. They pronounce their D's as J's. You're just walking. And do do do do do do. Hello. I'm going to help you. Hello. I'm Drew. I'm going to help you. Just have me interested in draw. You've come right. Please. I'm sorry. That's ridiculous. Let's go. Those are video clips right there. Drew doing that. Let's go to David. Go ahead, David. That first time last time. What's going on? Go ahead. Oh, Matt, yesterday I heard you guys talking about UK as a legacy and UCLA as a legacy. And I try to get on. I've lived in Kentucky most of my life.
But anyways, I was born and raised in Southern California. And I was a usually brewed basketball fan. And I used to watch your bar when he used to call himself Louis Sender. And anyways, our high school went on a field trip to UCLA to the campus. They let us walk around. They gave us these maps. So I convinced a couple of my friends. Let's go to Polypavilion and check it out. We went in there. And the first story tried it opened up. And no one was in there. And I thought for sure they're going to kick us out. We walked onto the court. I looked up and saw all of the banners there. Yeah. You're not going to have a hard time selling us the beauty of UCLA basketball at you on UK show, though, right? No, no. My point is, is that I hope someday in my lifetime, I'm 70 now, that UK gets as many banners hung. How do you have? I like that conclusion. Now you grew up at UCLA fan. Are you a Kentucky fan now?
Oh, I've been a you Kentucky fan for probably 25 years now. OK, good. And what made you switch? I moved here after I retired from the military. I moved here. First living summer set. I live in Bowling Green now been here for 17 years. And I've been a Kentucky fan ever since I moved to get there. Well, good. Well, I like that you switched. And I'll tell you what, we're going to try to get. We need three more to get up there with them. And I hope it happens for you. And it's nice to hear from you, sir. Yeah, I hope that happens in my lifetime. Thank you. It's going to. What's going to appreciate to call? Let's make it happen in his lifetime. I like that. Went and saw the banners, Paul Vivillian. Now he needs to go and see the banners happen. We need to do it for him. It's level 11, right? And then what they have? We have a they have 11. So do we get three mornings lifetime? First certain. Because he's going to live a long time ago. Fingers crossed.
Yes. Little man dream. I know the AI pictures of Lexington drivers are coming. I'm waiting on those. I don't like the AI. I don't the AI people put the end there kind of funny. I don't want to like them. We're going to need another data center for whatever comes to the likes and rulers. Let's go to Joe. Go ahead, Joe. Hey, guys, I used to coach this kid. And they used to tell me how to pronounce his last name was Jory, but what a what a you. And obviously from being trying to say that word, just now you could tell I can't pronounce it at all. It used to just blow it. It is a hard word. It was we tried the other day. It is a tough word. Yeah, there's no shot. Like they would tell me that. And that would just panic and try to announce this kid in front of the entire family, you know, in a banquet or whatever. And everybody in the audience just staring at me like, this guy is an idiot. Yeah, it is hard. It's hard. So I had to call because of that. I was on a shoot game this weekend. Last weekend, I was so excited to watch us play South Carolina.
And so I turned it on. And it's the first game we're getting to watch all year because usually I'm working on Saturdays. And obviously we're getting rolled up pretty good there. And the first quarter they go third down. It's obviously going to get points. You know, South Carolina is about to get points again. And so immediately, you know, I'm watching my kid anyway. I turn off the TV. I turn off the radio that I'm listening to in my ear to walk around my house. You know, every about 30 minutes, I'm checking. And get more and more excited as the cats come back. And so it was just awesome to see it. Awesome to not see it at the same time. No, I like that. There are games that there are big time games we've won that I've only seen like a player too because I'm with you. I feel like when I turn it off, they do better. And so then I don't watch. Sometimes it's hard to do post game shows when you haven't watched the game. I've probably, it may be the case. And I appreciate the call, sir, where Ryan Limon's gotten calls from me where I've said, all right, you need to tell me what I can say about this game because I only followed it along via things. And, you know, but that, but I feel like I'm doing it for the team and the program.
That's right. You're taking the taking it, the taking the head. That's why, that's why I do it. What's the name of this hurricane that's coming? It's got a funny name. I S A I A S. Yeah. I heard two guys pronounce it two different ways this morning. So. What were the two? I think one guy said, Isaiah. And the other guy said, I say, I can do this. Okay. So it's definitely a sayer. That's what they were saying. That's what they were saying. That's what they were saying. They are saying it's a sayer. Yeah. All right. Isaiah, Isaiah, answer that phone, Rick. Isaiah, Isaiah, which do you think it is? I'll go easy. Complete gas. I've only read it. I've not heard anyone actually say it. You know, Shannon, the dude was down there. He left this morning to get out of Dodge. Oh, because that is right where he is, right? He's in Panama City all week. They left this morning to get out of Dodge. So he's racing home to beat racing home.
Yeah. When's it supposed to hit landfall tomorrow? I think tomorrow. And then come up you out through Tuscaloosa by Saturday. Okay. They said Bill Mac right now says, could hit Lexington during the game. That's the most likely scenario. Well, we're winning, right? Yeah, let us get ahead first. Let us get ahead. Take ball and open the, open the floodgate. Take the ball score quick, bring on the ring. Now, I do think I honestly think that would be the best scenario. Wouldn't be bad for us. Yes. We got the outfit to be alive. We can run the ball if we have to. We'll take a break. Be right back sponsored by Lexington droolers. This is Kentucky sports radio. East Ios. Sading in. East Ios. East Ios. All right. East Ios. East Ios. That's the name of this hurricane. East Ios. Feels like that's, I mean, I appreciate trying to have different names, but this would have been one of them that should have been pretty. Like this was a big one. Yeah.
Give that to one that doesn't work too much. Yeah, we're coming up on J's, maybe just a gym. You know, Janet. What are the ones you remember? You have Katrina. Katrina for sure. Hugo. You go, yes. Andrew. I remember Andrew very well. That the one hit Texas, which one hit Texas that flooded the Houston area. No, Hugo hit floor, Andrew hit Florida, right? Mm-hmm. In the early 90s. And then Hugo, I think hit like North Carolina. Okay. Um, those are the ones that stick out. I know there's more though. Maybe they're running out of, I, they used to not name them. Like the Galveston hurricane is just called the Galveston. Okay. They may be running out of letters for I. That's why they had to come up with this. Oh, yeah. There's not it. There's not a, I mean, not ton of names. You can call them Irv. Yeah. Isaac close. They probably already done Isaac. Probably already done Isaiah. Ingrid. Igor. We got an Irene, right? When they're in Irene. They're in Irene. It wasn't.
It was a big Irene. That's right. Well, I mean, they have them every year. It's just like they'll die out or something. And they only use your name once. So like there's probably already been a mat and it probably didn't do much. I got to be able to look up to see what yours did. Well, mine was Andrew. That's why I remember it. So well, I was a kid. And I was like, why am I doing this? Oh, okay. I guess it's right. Yes, stuck with me. But there might also be a Drew. It's true. True. Have you ever checked to see what what Hurricane Ryan was? I don't know if they ever had one. I can go out to check. Probably is a Mario. Yeah. Probably a Matthew. I did get a text from Bill Mack. Okay. He says, or you can just call it as I did last night call it the I storm. Come on, Bill Mack. This is your job. You got to learn how to say I storm. You don't get to call it the I storm. You went to meteorology, meteorology school for this. You don't get to call it that I don't, you know, they don't call Peyton Manning in man. That's right. They call him Manning. Hurricane Matthew was in 2016. What did it do? Wide spread devastation across Cuba, the Bahamas and Southeast US.
I don't remember that. Actually tomorrow's the 10 year anniversary. Hurricane Cuba and Bahamas. I'm sorry. Bill says I can't Houston. So it was another eye. Oh, okay. So eyes, they get you. You get you. And Hurricane Mario was just a couple months ago at your housewarming party. I was there. That's true. They announced that UK will be able to play three summer basketball games every year. I love this. I do too. Just give me more sports in the summer. I like it. You saw how much we got into TBT in July. We did. So I like the idea of play. There's some talk about like some network or get eight teams and have a little turn. Uh huh. You like that? We talked about this one time. What if Kentucky and Louisville hosted Eastern, Western, Murray, Morehead had our own little game. No. No. I would like that for summer. I don't want to see them play good teams. I don't want to see them play Eastern and what? No offense, but this is the summer. I'm going to be excited. What excitement am I going to get about them playing Eastern?
They're playing a game. Okay, but now why don't we play a good team? You want to play a good team in the summer? Maybe get that. Yes. So I can see how good my team is. So I can get a sense of what we really are. I mean, I think the good thing about a summer game is you could play the best teams and it doesn't matter. Right. Everybody kind of know going in. I mean, we'd be passionate about it, but you're like, all right, this world's seeing these guys for the first time. They've practiced for two weeks. Yeah. To be open-minded. Play Eastern. What's the upside? You beat Eastern. What's the downside? You lose to Eastern and the coach goes for two months with people going, we stink. You can't do that. You can't do that. No, we got big games. It's good for the sport. Oh, right now, the NFL and football just keep taking more and more of your days. Yeah. Cutting in. The summer's still pretty open. Go ahead. Play those games in early August if like TNT or something put a week of college basketball together. It would be die hard. It would watch, but they'd watch and you'd get to see these like rookies for the first
time. We could have seen me lawn in the uniform for the first time. I think people would be completely into it. But no, I do not want that's the last thing I want to do is play Eastern Western more ahead. That to me sounds like the, it's probably what we'll do for the sacred cloth, but I don't want it. You're right, though, if you were to lose one of those and you could be in that early. I mean, guys are just getting on campus. That's what's going to be unique about these. Yeah, I don't want that. They would be punished for it. The whole precinct. At least when we play this foreign teams, we don't know how good they are. So we can convince ourselves that beta max 43 is a good team and we can tell them not to zone. Yeah, but you can't do it. No. I like it in early August because the four college football gets going. People want to get settled in a little bit. I hope they do it. More revenue. They want to do it. And now we're going to get to play. I mean, they'll be fun. And if they want to sell the tickets, they, I mean, would they sell out rub for Kentucky, Yukon? I think they would. I'm going to sell Memorial for. Yeah, I think they would. I think they would. 39 year old DeAndre Liggins in the crew. If you had Kentucky, Yukon or whatever and even play a road game and it would be fun
for all of us to take a summer trip to some random school out in the middle of, I think it would be great. It's an awesome opportunity for the sport. But I hope they don't ruin it by going, I hope they don't ruin it by doing something like these other schools are playing each other. So we should do it too. Is there really even a downside? I see no doubt. I think it's hard. That's the only downside. I'm practicing. Yeah, I heard practice. I agree. We already heard enough. What's the end of another game going to do? Yeah. Let's go to Sam. Go ahead, Sam. Hey guys, I just wanted to call. I've seen the injury report this morning. What do you guys think about the LSU or injury report for this weekend? Well, it's bad. We got a lot of guys hurt. Got a lot of guys in the, in the, on the defense. A lot of them. I mean, like, I appreciate the call. There's going to be, there are going to be dudes playing at linebacker for us who, who I don't know who they are. And I'm not going to act like I do. They've never played. They've never played for Kentucky before. Maybe some of them haven't played at all in college.
Or you'll know them, but they're playing out of position and having to learn it this week. Might move some safeties up or one of your outside guys in, but to have, we may have Zewagi playing inside linebacker. To have three inside specific linebackers on your injury reports. It's tough. That's tough. I mean, like, well, that's going to be our vulnerability. You know, Lane's going to attack. Oh, sure. So it kind of is what it is. And that's a big position. That means we're going to have to score a lot. We're probably going to score a lot to beat them because they're going to score with that defense we have right now. Yeah, they'll probably just play an extra defensive back, play more nickel and dime, but that person in a run, you're going to have to tackle. You're going to have to get big. I'm probably just going to find somebody whose whole job it is to just watch, let it. But no, it's not, it's not good at all. Chas, what's up, Chas? What's up, guys? I'm down here in Destin was about 5,000 other Kentucky fans evacuating the beach. But we were talking about as a family.
What do you think is the historical equivalent in college basketball to LSU football as a program? Hmm. So LSU is interesting because they haven't won the titles that other kind of brands have. But when they've been good, they've been crazy good a few times. And they're a little bit of a rogue school, but their fan base does really care a lot. So who would they be? It's a good question. I appreciate the call. Well, they got like two championship in the last 20 years. But they also have arguably some people think the best team of the modern era, yeah, with the Barrow team. First thing comes to my mind is something like Syracuse. You know, they won just one title, two titles, one title.
But they've always been good. Yeah. They've had some really star players over the years. Syracuse is not quite as wild as Baton Rouge. I don't know if you feel more relevant in the sport than Syracuse does in basketball right now. True. Syracuse back in the day would be a good argument, I think for it. Yeah, I mean, like honestly, they remind me of UNLV, but just UNLV hasn't mattered in so long. It's hard to back in the day. Yeah. The UCLA was rocking Michigan. Michigan, Michigan. Michigan has Michigan. Michigan has had very famous teams. Yeah. Very good teams. A lot of people think last year, I'm going to go with Michigan. Got some swagger to got some swagger Michigan. Last year people put as one of the great teams. They have the Fab five. They produced a lot of professional players. I'm going to go say Michigan until I hit a better one. I think Michigan's a good. They both have yellow. Both have yellow. Good fan bases. Let's do that. Tell me about. Answer. Tell me about East step. East steps. You should step into East steps. Outside, see, that's a cool thing to do. Yes, you could do in the summer exhibition. James could like it. That venue looked really cool. We've been there. That's a great set up for basketball. Kind of how they're. I love it. I love it. I have a not too too. Do that. Do that again. Now, latest weather report says rain to start around 7 p.m. with gust of wind by up to 50 miles an hour. Wow. Wow. It could be like that. So there's where you just have to sit through some delays and there wasn't
it doesn't like me though. They'll keep playing. They'll keep playing. That's going to be wild. See, but that's going to be kind of fun. I will say we talked about this before. Terrible environments. Once you're in them and your pot committed, it can be a lot of fun. And it's at night. You've already made the commitments. Yeah. You got to rush out of there. There's something. And it's like church the next day. You know, you get you get one off. The Lord understands the Lord wants you to beat Lane Kiffin too. He's the one bringing the weather. It's exactly right. How can then so if you can't go to church, the Lord, he give it. And you'll get wet. You'll be all right. Yes. And right. And when the when the LSU gets about, we're going to take it away. That's right. LSU is going to look up. We're going to have so many fans there. That's right. Tell them right to honor our country on its 250th birthday. Thank you for your radio. People keep writing. David, I'm not talking about Dakota Johnson on Saturday. A lot of people keep talking to ask me what I thought. I thought I mentioned that. I thought you mentioned it yesterday. You didn't go in a lot of detail. That's good.
Proud of her. I am. Good for you. Stop and sing the movie yet, though. Maybe I'll do that. I'm surprised you weren't camped out front. Now it did really well though. I saw gotten a lot of money. We know Andy went. Yes. People are saying Matt, you place the syllable on the wrong, the emphasis on the wrong syllable. It goes on the third syllable. So it's East I. Yes. So I want to say East I. East I. Yes. East I. Yes. East I. Yes. Yes. Yes. Not yes. I. East I. Yes. There you go. So tell Bill Mac. I expect him to be on TV going. East I. Yes. The I storm. No, don't know that's lame. He if he's going to do that, then I'm just going to use Ryan Hall. Y'all. Ryan Hall. Y'all will use the actual name of the storm. Tell Bill Mac not to get lazy. Got you. All right. I'm on it. I'll tell him he's listening.
I'm just is really quick. Do you know who Ken Paxton is? It sounds familiar. But I'm not interested in Texas. OK. Well, he's going to get to guy like a lot. Tell Rico, right? And he's had some scandal in his thing. And including he cheated on his wife while he was the attorney general and his wife left him and suiting. OK. All right. And now he's with the woman that he cheated on with. She made a campaign ad yet this week for him. She's still in the lawsuit with him. The ex wife makes wife made a campaign ad for him that said positive one. It essentially was like, look, even if I don't like him, we need to just go ahead and move forward. Would you do that? It seems weird. Also, I don't trust her. I don't believe her. How much did she get paid to do this? That's what you would you do that if you had a significant other that cheated on you publicly left you for another person.
And you were then involved in some sort of thing. Would you then go? But yeah, go ahead and vote for it. Easy answer. Go get your new person. You like them so much. Have them make your damn commercial. But she too is a politician. So she's a Republican politician. She's kind of saying like, look, we get it. He's the worst, but we got to win. My first call is to tell Rico, how can I help your campaign? Let me do an ad for you. That's what I'm going to be vengeful. Also, were you doing Friday night? You're free. You want to do it? Oh, you think that would be interesting if she's she's single. She showed up with him. Even better. There we go. Wow, that would be interesting. Yeah. That would be like a whole, that'd be a television show. That's the move. That's the move. Not endorsed further in. Yeah. Just go out with the opponent. You've heard me say I've told my boys all growing up. If a girl breaks your heart, you start dating her best friend. You have to say that and that's a horrible advice. You've given that advice for years and I'm great advice. Terrible advice. That's what this lady needs to do.
She needs to go to tell Rico. Do you really tell your kids that? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I told I've told all three of them. This is not KSR's advice. It's just a record that is not my advice. My advice is the opposite. Lex, go ahead, Lex. Okay. So I've got two comparisons with the with the football. I'm sorry, with the basketball. The God just asked what is LSU? Yes. And my lifetime since 1989 UK basketball is LSU football. Yeah, but LSU, we're too good historically. LSU has been good historically, but whatever you want to put Kentucky, they're either, I mean, you can put them as Alabama. You can put them as Notre Dame. You can put them as Ohio State, but they're not LSU. The LSU is one sort of. Nice. Don't say, I know, but you're stopping in 1989. You're stopping. You're starting in 1989. Oh, it's back. Yeah, well, that was the question about before if we're talking about history, Alabama, I'm just saying in my lifetime, yeah, we might be talking about history.
And then the other can. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the other. Oh, what of the other comparison is, I think Shane Beamer is Mark Pope. Appreciate the call. He's just being a eater, although I'm a hope you're wrong about the shame beaver. Somebody says Louisville. That's not a horrible comparison actually. Oh, it was you. Historically good throughout history. It's had moments of being really, really good, passionate fans, scandal plagued. Moments of scandal. Yeah. That's not a terrible one. I like that one actually better than Michigan. That's not, I mean, that's not a terrible one. Casey got about 30 seconds. Go. Hey guys, I'm taking my son to his first game on Saturday. And I was just wondering what your old memories was from your first game. And that's all I had. That's great. No, I don't remember. I the first game I appreciate the call first game I remember was we went to Tennessee. And I watched my mom try to scalp tickets.
She was really bad. And I knew she was getting even as like a seven year old. I knew she was getting scammed. And we ended up like in the third row and she paid like way too much. But she was so happy that I was like, that's so sweet mom. But like, excuse my mom walked up the scalp versus like got her. They target her. Yeah, I mean, she's walking up with her seven year old son on her hand dressed in Kentucky. And we've made our way to Knox. And she ain't going home without tickets. I got her. Real her in. Got her. That's my first memory. I'm going to restore it. Go ahead, start. Hey, Colin from Gulf Breeze and across here to this storm is coming to life through the center of my house. To be safe. And what you guys close on the last one is four syllables. The third one, you got to kind of draw that four syllable down my Louisville. It's it's I. It's I.
It's I. That's how they want us to say. There you go. There you go. He signed that. I did. My Latina friend on Monday explained it to me about want to know what storm is hitting me. So that that is how in this day. Yeah. All right. Sounds a little too. I appreciate that. Sounds a little too happy for the devastation that's coming though. Yeah, that sounds like a party. Yeah, it sounds like you're going to the East. Yeah, as party. Yeah. Yeah. But you can't do that because it's going to be a very bad hurricane. Unless it works. No. Lives and things aside. Unless it works in our favor Saturday football game. Put the damage aside. Yeah. Put the danger aside. If we win, do we like this then East I.S. become best hurricane. As long as there's no there'd be tragedy. There'd be tragedy. You're a name Lexington named East I.S. Maybe. Maybe if we get just the right amount of rain to slow down. Yeah, it needs to be. It can't be too tragic. It needs to be.
It has five fumbles because it rained and there's no tragedy. We are pro East. He say yes. Yes. If that happens. Yes. I like it. Good to see you all. Welcome back. Welcome back. We are in Don. We're going to do cover zero here in four. We're going to type cover zero here in 40 minutes. And then tomorrow we're at Don Franklin. Buick on Richmond Road. You James C on Richmond Road. Yes. Sounds good. Ryan's going to bring his picture with Mike Johnson. Nobody's contacted me yet. Yeah. I keep checking. Republicans don't know your number. Oh, yes they do. We'll see you later. We'll see you later.
We'll see you later. at Fremont Street Experience. Vegas as it was meant to be, from above. Search Fremont Street Experience to book your flight.
