School bags, speech chairs, a grocery run, I swore would be small. And somehow there's still room in my sister-tex. I'm landing in Burbank, Compton, me up. It seats seven, has over 600 miles of range, and makes the 134 feel a little less like a test of character. Space, Range, Flexibility, the Kia Telluride Turbo Hybrid is built for the way L.A. moves. I'm telling you right now, if you're going to take the browns on eight this week, so we take the browns. You say it browns money line? You say it browns with the points? No, I'll take the browns and win. Oh, you just get taken away. Yeah, I'm going to take the win. A moment of reflection before Nathan Zagura, Nathan will join us at 905 today at 9 o'clock. We'll have a moment of reflection across all our families and stations here. Certainly on 92-3, the
fan. It's been 25 years since the tragedy in 9-11. Everybody here remembers exactly where they were at. I know that there's some young people who have heard the story second hand. I know we've talked about John. I think John was born what just before it. Oh, just after. Yeah. I was listening to Lanagan and Malone. I was listening to Lanagan and Malone. I was not at Ohio state yet. I was still here because Ohio state started so late and I had a shift at the golf course. And I still to this day cannot believe I was at the golf course when obviously everybody was glued to the news, but people were golfing and these guys made the turn and they're like, what's going on over there? Cell phones weren't as prevalent. And I'm like, we've had a terrorist attack and they go, all right. So what does it cost to make the turn? I've already paid this much money. Do you pro-rated for the back? Well, that's I'm like, no, I don't think you understand what's happening.
Right. Oh, not a point to make about the previous conversation, but let me just say this. That's kind of how it was because I remembered. So I forgot that you are older than me because I was like, I'm in high school. Why weren't you in school? It's like, wait, no. Lime was actually an adult at this time. So I was 15 and I had a broken leg from the scrimmage and I was and I had, yeah, I didn't chop and I did not do the Tomahawk chop. You asked, which by the way, the trader is my son's gym teacher. I'm about to have him call in and tell the story. Thank you very much. There was no Tomahawk chop. Might have been a thumbs up. I don't remember. I've always been a showman. What are you going to do? Um, so I got a, I had surgery and they're like, we had an elevator in school. Like, hey, like, you don't need to go up to study hall. Just go to the guidance office in the main office and they got like a small library in there and you can sit in there and do whatever. And it was great. And then I remember somebody had set a plane flew into the tower and the one, I forget the
one guidance counselor's name. He's like, jumps up because he was like a career veteran. And he's like, what the hell? Like he was an older man. He goes, what the hell? And like, he came like flying down the hallway and everybody's like, whoa, easy. Relax. Probably an accident. And we found out it wasn't an accident. And then it was just the TVs were on the rest of the day and it was just, it was just a wild scene that kind of just everything else. I remember the initial moment, but everything else just goes together. Oh, and obviously was in the air force in his life. Charged to the 90th fighter squadron for about 14 minutes. His life changed forever. And we, until the next time a certain guy came in and then he was in charge. And as many as as many times as we bus balls and glare at each other from this room to that room, Owen is a, Owen is a patriot and a fine man and a fine friend and we are lucky to know him because the things changed for him dramatically that day as well as for a lot of people. So we will have our moment of reflection coming up at 9 o'clock across our family
of stations and then at 905 Nathan's going to join us and we'll get set for, we'll get set for week one. Oh, and you had, I thought, this is what I think, Monk is biggest challenges. I think you're going to hit it. Yeah. So Anthony had brought up before the break that, you know, hopefully Monk can help mitigate or eliminate some of the problems that Dishon Watson could potentially run into in these game in this game against Jacksonville. And I hope that's true, but I don't know. Are you talking about Todd Monk in the play collar and just helping Dishon offensively? Are you talking about Todd Monk in the head coach who is really charged with making sure this whole thing doesn't go off the rails like it. Like I think most people expected to go when you look at the point spread and all that eight and a half, it's the second or third biggest point spread in in the NFL this weekend. And it's his first time. I know like Rootonberg brought it up yesterday and I think Switzer brought it up as well that Monk and had called plays as a head coach with
Southern Miss. Well, that was over a decade in a much different scenario than it is now. I've grown to respect Todd from what we know of him so far until I see it. I don't know if I can believe it. All it is mainly because Kevin Stofansky has me so gunshot. You have brought up, you're right about this. You have brought up a scenario that we haven't had talked about a long time. And we've talked about with other coaches like I've actually been pretty critical of Shane Stichen in watching the Indianapolis Colts over the last couple of years. And I thought that he I thought that he kind of got out of that last year and it was better for him. But I also think that at times when they're under duress, you can tell certain things when he's not necessarily thinking about managing the game. Most of these guys come from most head coaches anymore come from offensive backgrounds. I don't like it that much but it's true. And the biggest challenge I think an offensive coordinator has to go through and I don't care if they're 30 years old like great
Yiddinski is or if they're 60 years old like Todd Munkin is. It's how do you train yourself to go into game management mode because for an offensive coordinator, you are paid to get yards and score points. First downs, yards, points. You don't care about clock management. You don't care about timeouts. You're paid to diagnose a defense to use your talent that you have to move the ball down the field and score points. And when you're an offensive coordinator, you have a head coach ahead of you that goes, whoa, easy. I have to overrule you because I have to take advantage of the clock. I have to take a look at the clock. Like it's an offensive coordinator. You don't care about getting the defense to rest. As a head coach, you do like we got to get some first downs here. We got to elongate this dry complimentary football because we have to complement the defense because they just came off the field. All right, we can't be doing this. And what all in brings up is a sincere concern that we don't know until Sunday, whether or not Todd Munkin's going to actually
be able to do that before it's been game scenario in it's been it's been practice. It's been glorified practice. This is a situation where say they get up by 10. You got eight minutes left to go in the first quarter. Are you trying you got eight minutes left to go in the fourth quarter? Are you roasting the ball down the field and putting us in a bad position? Or are we trying to manage the clock and also not look like we're sitting on the football and playing not to lose instead of playing to win? Like you have to fight all those emotions while your offense is on the field because I don't know the situation right off the top my head of what our defense is going to come out of. But Todd Munkin by that time will and he'll have to manage these things. That's a very Crystal Geyser Alpine Springwater is now the official water partner of the Iron Man North America series. The cool thing to do for a guy who has been paid and has made a lot of money and has made a good name for himself by getting first downs, amassing yards, amassing points and getting accolades for his for his offensive players. That's a huge challenge. I think that's actually a really fascinating part of the game we haven't really talked about this week. But yes, going from just being the OC where you're only focused on one thing to the totality of the game, I totally agree Kenny. Two, one, six, four, seven, four, two, one, two. There are people in here. I want to know whether or not you agree with me or I'm a total idiot. You can't agree with me. It's still thing I'm a total idiot for all the other things. I'm taking the Browns, the simple fact of the reasons I gave you also, I think this is the only time I'm going to be able to take the Browns out of your confidence with any sort of confidence. And I think there are a lot of people they can tell it's not a huge amount of confidence. Two, one, six, four, seven, four, four, two, nine, two, derroer, eight, twenty. And did the NFL finally go too far and we also
got a QB tracker where like it or not, fair or not, somebody might get crossed off the list tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening over in Texas.
