Thoughts on Bam's 83 Point Game

In today's episode, I'm going to be talking about BAM's 83 point game. I don't even know his last name, and I'll be real. As soon as I heard that BAM scored 83 points and he beat Kobe Bryant's record, I was furious. And then I got even angrier when I found out how he scored the points. And today on basketball, Twitter, basketball, YouTube, basketball, TikTok, everyone is talking about it. Everyone has a different opinion on BAM's 83 point game. Some people are like, no, it's very difficult to score 83 points and he deserved it. The only people that are mad are Kobe Bryant fans. And then there's another group of people that can't stand the fact that BAM, his 83 point

1:02game is going to go down in history. I think there's a couple of different reasons as to why people are so polarized regarding this topic. One reason is because BAM is not a great player by any means. It's completely different if Steph Curry scored 83 points versus a guy like BAM. He's mediocre at best. I get it. It's not easy to score 83 points, especially in the NBA, but he is not a great player. And the mere fact that his name is now in the history books is bothering a lot of people. Another reason people are upset is because Kobe Bryant, man, or big Kobe Bryant fans around here and the fact that this guy who's mediocre has a higher score than Kobe Bryant really bothers me. It just doesn't feel right, which brings me to the final point. It does not feel right. It feels like a glitch. It feels like a prank gone wrong.

2:04And unfortunately, there is no undoing this. This is something that is going to go down in history and it's something that you need to make peace with whether you want to or not. It's sort of like you're working super hard in your company for 20 years. And one day, this average employee wins the best employee of the decade award. You're going to think, this dude, why? And it just so happens that he won it because of a very rare situation of him just being in the right place at the right time. I understand what BAM did was not easy, but it still bothers me.
