Too tired. Victory Monday. Victory Monday. No one had talked about it in advance. That's just what we do. I know. I know. That's just what we do. I've never watched the first half when I got home last night. I rewashed it this morning, which is one of the reasons I'm tired right now. What's the difference if I watched it till 12.30 last night or first thing in the morning? Were you impressed? Was I impressed? Yes. Were you impressed? Why was it different? I was impressed and concerned at the same time. I was... Okay. I think I started my calm off with

4:03the fact that I was a little bit a little bit more focused on the way I was doing it. I was a little bit more focused on the way I was doing it. But not convincing. There was lots of room for improvement and there's still lots of room for improvement. It's easy to feel that way after you win somehow, some way, right? If you feel that way and are able to say those words, we won, but we should be better. Okay. I'll get you. I think there's still going to be a few games that you think that this defense can jail and get better. Everton, you've talked about it. These guys and the synergy, the continuity between them and just having to take time. It's not something that's going to happen automatically, which are starters, especially with the time that they didn't get in the preseason. But, man, that's why you get a gotty. That's why you get an offense that can produce. You get a lead and you can take off and our guy, because he's our guy now,

5:03our guy, Jake Ferguson, our guy, y'all pulling you into this thing, our guy in the red zone. Look, I was impressed by the victory. I'm even more impressed with that press got. Man, it was absolutely, and I loved it. I loved the victory. By the way, Heckman has picked a click. What was it, Bill? Jake Ferguson. You came up short on your touchdowns for Ferguson, though. You only had him with one touchdown at the end. Why would you look at that? Even that, that was good. And you had a 33-24 Cowboys victory. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And of course, it was the 37-20 final. So you got the Cowboys in the 30s. If we're going by margin of victory, however, Cowboys won by 17, and Everson came closest on margin, because he had 28 to 14. And Everson, by the way, had a press got. Call it.

6:03With, he came up short, too. I did. He only had Dack with three touchdown passes, and not a club record setting. Career passing touchdown mark with his poor touchdown pass. It was extremely impressive last night. And it was almost like a throwback. It's all CD. It was all CD. Pickers a little bit in the game. He caught some meaningful passes, but when it all came down to it, this was a Dack and CD show. Did anybody have CD-Lam at all? I did not. I went pickens. You went pickens. But you can't have CD without Dack Presscott. Man. Well, it's like that's the case. And the other thing is, I should have gone CD, thinking about his matchup with St. Restill, who has public enemy number one in Washington, right now. And you're trying to top some trash. You better sit down, boy. It's number two. So, yeah, they talk. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you as a cornerback. Yes, sir. Most of the time that I could see, they're doubling George Pickens.

7:04And they thought this Santa Stryl was going to go one on one with CD. Seriously. How do you come to that? That's Blue Shast. You boy, Quinn. Quinn called that. I mean, come on. What do you want from him? That's a deep, defensive, good room. That was his game plan. That's the came up with. That was astounding. Did I keep seeing two guys following Pickens? Crazy, man. And here he is. How'd you like CD on the first touchdown? Oh, man. He's just smooth. I just like to. I like it. It was good Deacon corner there, too. I mean, he was 10 and he's blocking. And that's we saw that happen against us with Marvin Harrison Jr. Right? Yeah. The Cardinals. Same thing, get the plan. That's, I don't know, we got that from them. But, you know, it's almost as if you're going to block because I think it was a play action. And quickly, you know, you know, what his best catch was. He wouldn't.

8:04Last one. He wouldn't track down the record pass that he caught. Get the ball back. Sure did. Right? Sure did. I think, you know, that's amazing. Guys think that way in the game, right? What do you do with the ball after he caught the touch? I saw him. He took his other. No, no, but you said he went to track it down. He went to track it down. Yeah, he said. So he got rid of the. I thought he was the one he used the one he just dropped the ball. He didn't hang on to it. And then he had to go back and retrieve it. That's when he realized. Oh, with anyway, he just always drops it and does some things. Right. And then as Dex said, what does the ball mean to you? So I don't know. It'll be on a maniled collecting dust. I mean, spoken like a true humble man. Yep. Now, I enjoyed it simply because we won. But also, I could, the frustration is still there. And it's the same frustration I've had. It's got to be a number of years now to where you just see too many guys running through holes that shouldn't be there.

9:08Number one, number two. When you lose a quarterback to like Jane Daniels, which is such a sad and gross injury, then you come in with Marriado. He is not that shifty to where he should be dancing around. And I'm in the back. I mean, this is killing me, man. I get it that we don't work on tackling. I get it. Thank God because we worry about CTE. I get that. But you still have to be a better athlete. You have this guy running around in circles like he's friend talking to somebody. I don't understand how you can have one player here, one player here. And for some reason, you decide to take an inside move when you're on the outside. And all of a sudden, the guy goes for another 10, 15 years. Or the quarterback himself in the pocket with four people around him. All of them within arm reach. And somehow, he rolls out and he gets about 15 years.

10:09I just don't understand that. I don't care how long you have not been tackling. You should be better at that. I mean, go chase some chickens in a chicken yard or something. And they help you catch up with that. Well, we got there's a chicken yard in the soda that's available. Well, they need to bond it. I'll deference it lime. I need to be able to write that out. How do you think Vaughn got so good chasing down quarterback? Thank you, sir. I come on, man. And I think you get frustrated about it because it's not just to complain, too complain. You see these things, if you don't take care of them, then they will be a problem in the future. If you don't take care of your running game, it's going to be a problem in the future. So we're not just fussing. I want to use a B word. We're not just fussing for the sake of fussing. We're almost like analyzing whatever word you want. Nobody ready to get away with it. Wow. Just use whatever word you want. A couple of.

11:09And the referee, too, I think, are his mic caught one in the stadium. Brady, a very colorful description of the past to CD. And then the Jaden Daniels injury to reaction on that. Well, I can understand that one. He was just being cocky when he came to the CD fans. I mean, I don't even know. I wasn't eating something at the time. Like, man, that's crazy. And Mickey, by the way, had a 24-20 Cowboys win. And Jason Barham was your pick to collect. Two for three. He was good. And that. That's two for three. What do you mean two for three? I got the 20 right? Yeah, you're fine. Yeah, you picked a winner. Okay, you're two for two. You're good. No, man, I got Barham, right? Yeah, I just missed the Cowboys score in 11 more or 14 more points, whatever, 12, 13. Look, they outscored their problems.

12:10And that's what we saw last year. Doing that was so many times, right? That's supposed to be the game plan for the season, didn't it? Well, no. No, no, what all I hear in the offseason, if the defense can just be in the middle of the road. Well, because we've got the greatest weekend. Yeah, they got it. Unfortunately, they're not middle of the road. They've already given up 783 yards. They ranked 29th in the NFL with yards total on defense. There's three worse. Yes, there were. I can't. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. We got some good defense being playing around the league. Right. Well, not first week. First week, it was the I am scoring. Yesterday. Because they're also all of a sudden Chicago had 59 the week before they get three yesterday. They'll figure it right. Indianapolis is giving up over 500 a game.

13:10Okay. And I saw that. I thought I misread it. They were over a thousand yards already. And by the way, one of those opponents for Indianapolis was the Cowboys next to the Baltimore. Baltimore, which lost yesterday to Kellin Moore's New Orleans Saints, which the Saints are really close to being two and O if they have heard of that two point in the Virginia. Right. They've also ranked 30th in run defense. They've already given up 347 yards rushing. Well, how much of that was from Jayden Daniels yesterday? Well, and Jackson the guard. And who's next? And part of the rushing total. So I think you have to I think you have to factor in two different categories there in terms of the Cowboys run defense. It's stopping the run, the traditional run. Stopping the quarterback. Stopping the secondary run game, which is the quarterback run. So the quarterback draws and what dangerous score the quarterbacks have already run for 128 yards in two games.

14:12So we don't believe in spies. Well, I thought once I saw it, but it didn't help. No. Look like they kept the winners in there and he couldn't run with Jason Daniels. Look, I think some of these problems are impossible to ignore. And the ones that I think are driving you crazy is that guys are close, right? Close to getting those sacks, close to getting something. There's a number of times that just like when you talk about the turnover battle last week, if you get two of those, it makes it a different game, right? Yes. If you get to get to sacks in this game at certain points, that changes this game as well. As opposed to scramble up the middle for 25. But that's where I think that's the civil lining for me. Obviously, the Cowboys are not going to apologize for winning. You win by seven as they shouldn't, right? But at the same time for Christian Parker and Coach Dixon, their defensive line coach, they're probably looking at this like, like I saw one time Melika Lawrence. He's right there and he misses. He's got just steps up, you know? That's the part that I think that you can, if you're not close, then you're not saying

15:14that there's any room for improvement because guys aren't getting there. The biggest thing is Kenny Clark and Quinn and Williams. Where is that push that we're looking for? And these are the, these are two guys that you came into the season. You came into the season. You pretty much hung your hat knowing that that would be there for you. And though, there are the question marks, but here's the thing about those two really good pros in this league. You know that they're going to come along. It's they have. Thank you. It's like the words right. I mean, that's that that's the, that's where I met Everton with it. And I just feel like, you know, as this season goes along, this defense is going to get better. Simply out of necessity because of who you have coming down the pipe and the talent on the team itself. And if you didn't have that, you wouldn't have any hope at all. That's true. Not like last year. When I saw the misses, they were not just misses. They were whiffs. In other words, when you, when you miss him, you miss badly. He's over here. You're, you're back here.

16:15You know, you don't, there's no breakdown in front of the, the quarterback or even the blocker in front of the quarterback. I saw a boy and one time he just, you know, he was coming towards the quarterback and he saw the lineman was there and he changed his mind. He decided to go around him. He didn't go around him because that opened up the hole. And the quarterback went, where, right up the middle. They gave up 182 yards rushing. Okay. However you want to say it, they gave up 182 yards rushing. Now they're two for two with a hundred, right? Last year, it was 12 of 17 games. So now we're 14 out of 19 games, right? Yeah. That they've given up more than a hundred. They gave up more than a hundred yard rushing in the first half. So that's got to be better. And don't you think that these teams, when they game plan the Calgary's defense, they're thinking, okay, I got to control Williams.

17:16I got to control Clark. I'll take my chances with everybody else. I saw, I'm pretty sure I saw a few plays where both of them were being double teams. Yes. Both of them were being, where is everyone else? If both of them were being double team, because not only were they being double team opened up the whole, it was just so much space and comfort for the opposition's running backs and quarterback. And I was like, well, the Cal boys were through and you saw it, Mickey, because you've looked through the first half. They were primarily going with their nickel defense throughout the first half of the game. I haven't looked at the second half, looked at the all 22 yet, but they, it didn't matter whether Washington was going with 12 person, two tight ends, one tight end, no tight ends, whatever. They were, they were primarily using a four man front with, and they were fortunately for the Cal boys. They were able to get off the field with a three and out first possession, so they didn't have to sub in guys like they normally have done on light these long touchdown drives,

18:21where you got to give these guys out of the game after five or six plays and get them breather up front. And so it was basically Gary and Ezoraku on the edges and Clark and Quentin Williams in the middle, a four man front with bar ham and winners as your linebacker. So you got six in the box there. And so that's why there was a lot of space, I think, up front throughout much of the game. What, what, what did you guys think of Gary? He was almost non-existent. He looked lost. He looked lost. I was like, who's this big dude? I didn't even know what his number was. And he just, he just looked, the number, I already make you look small. And he just, he's seven. Yeah, he's not number seven. And so he just looked insignificant in the game. And when you see a guy that big chasing the entire game, it's just, it's just not a good

19:22look. It's not a good look at all. I expected to see a quarterback that was more under duress when they came to the past rush. No pressure at all. We still have no pressure at all on the quarterback. They even had trouble pressuring Murray Oda. Oh, he was, he was ballin' when he came in. Yeah. And, yeah, they tried the pressure, but when they did, they couldn't even tackle him. So it was just too much of, too, too, it was a comedy of errors defensively. The guy stepping on the man. Yeah, that's not, you know. Come on, man. Yeah. Why are you backing up? They announced that as a hip-hop, I think. I saw you, what else you can't do? I'm a hip-hop. I saw it. I saw it. I saw it. I'm going insane. That's all you can get. That was like hip-hop. Yeah. Come on, man. I mean, just those kind of things are just so comical. You know, first of all, why are you backing up on the field?

20:25You just, it just look like, we just look like keystone cops out there. Just, Jayden Daniels, to me, that first half. And as I'm watching them and the pocket is collapsing and you have good coverage, that is his special ability as a quarterback to evade the rush, step up in the pocket and pick up 20, 30 yards. You know, if you look at his career, Mickey was talking about him last week out of 25 games, rushing for 1,200 yards and there's only one other quarterback in the league that's better and that's the one that you're going to face next week. And so, I mean, when he gets healthy again, God bless him and I hate what happened to him, that's his, that's just his ability. When you bring in Marriota, you're missing Marriota. All week you've been preparing for one guy and then you get a guy that's in there and that's a stationary target and you're missing him. Like you're with him on him, you know. And again, I look at this defense only giving up 20. The yards are not pretty at all, you know. You could call it bend, don't break, whatever.

21:25We just, what I'm sure what you feel is what I feel, they're not dictating to the offense. Two plays, two plays. The reversal, not reversal, but the upholding of the touchdown, I thought was a touchdown with the, Deonby Brown, the first half. He dropped it. He dropped it. The ball was on the ground. I didn't see it. When he rolled over after they had both possession of, no, no, no, no, you're, we're talking about two different places. Oh, I'm sorry. You're talking about the back of the end zone with Ron Blant. Yeah. Because they ruled it initially. No, no, I'm talking about the Marriota down the slip side. That's right. Yeah. That's sick. That's test. That's the rule that he had rolled out of bounds before he gained possession of it. I assume that's what they must. You know what he did on that? When he was out of bounds, he, like, re-gripped it a little bit. And I think that's what costy. He didn't have to. No, he didn't. He had control. He had control of it. With a knee down inbound. With a knee down inbound.

22:26What killed him on the review was he did a little tuck of it once he was, and which made the replay. It's a made it to Montenegro. We never, they didn't win the catch. That's the real he was out of bounds. We never get these calls. We did. We never get these calls. We got that call. Thank you, Jesus. Got two of them. Got two of them. And so, I mean, you know, not just that, I mean, you, you know, but on the, on the, it was McLaren, right? Yeah. In the back of the end. So they scored a touchdown anyway on that possession. And so that's the Diggs. That's the Diggs. Yeah. That was the Diggs touchdown. Okay. Yeah. And so it was, I mean, six-one-way-half-duz-n-it. They just took three more plays and they scored a touchdown. So, but on that one, they took the touchdown. On that one, they took a field goal instead of the touchdown. On that touchdown to Diggs. Yes. He goes in motion across the formation, right? Downs has got to go across with him. He goes behind the linebackers. Is that what you have to do? No. He should go in front of the lineback.

23:26If he's going to go behind him, then he better be ahead. And he wasn't. Here's what happened. Because they even. He's going to, Bill's going to take. They went hurry up. They were hurry up. Yeah. They, the Cowboys weren't lined up. And so, downs went across to go find his guy. He finally found his guy on the other side. And by the time he got over there, Diggs was already in motion. Now he's behind. And so what I, my question on it is, Durant was playing. There was one receiver to the left side. Durant had him. Yep. Is a way in the moment to correct that. Because Durant sees what's happening. And he takes, he takes the motion guy and then downs takes who Durant had. Does a, does an experienced team do that in order to do that before the most part? If you're playing man to man and they go in motion, you don't slide. Right. You just don't slide. Right. I just had you. Durant's not, he didn't realize that, that, uh, downs was, was late.

24:27Right. He's, he's on his guy. And actually behind him. Yeah. Yeah. And then he was going on. He got his, his experience team doesn't get caught off guard with a no, uh, yeah, because it wasn't just downs. It was the entire, yeah, everybody was. And there was a couple times where they were still trying to get the play in last minute, where the commanders were getting ready to run a play. That was smart by them because they know that we're basically a young defensive team. When I say young, no kid, young in chemistry. And they, they realized that that was a really smart one. Didn't they have to call time out once? I believe so. Yeah. Like, oh, no, we're not lined up. What did, what did you guys think about? I mean, I think at the end of the first half, when, um, when Jayden Daniels got injured, that was a pivotal moment, you know, I don't know what the play call should have been because it got stepped on his foot. But I mean, you're looking at a moment right there in that game. If they just simply run them ball, right? I don't know, you know, if, whatever, you know, but to me, they're getting the ball to start the third quarter. And man, I, you know, talk about dodging the bullet for you as far as the defense is concerned.

25:31I would have come out and feeling on the ball. The way they haven't stopped us yet. So why would they have no timeouts? They had no timeouts. And so that's why they're worried about if they didn't get in. The clock was going, I get that. But you, you're on the one you're like, but the third play, when there's, like, a second or what it started with 12, then eight, then three. So when three seconds were left on the third down play, if you run the ball, you're only getting one play, even if you throw it, right? He's under center. But he was dropping back. They haven't stopped us yet. I would have run the ball on the first play. And seeing that you got 12 seconds left, there's not much movement. I mean, you know, there's not much movement or waste of time to get back in place. It's tough. I'm back on my, you need at least 14. You got the score and then you need to stop the first time. If you're going to run it without any timeouts, it needs to be based on the way, based on the fact that you know, have a stop as yet.

26:31I would have taken it. When Dan Quinn answered that question, he didn't understand the question because he said, no, I wanted to touch down. I think the question suggested to him, why didn't you kick a field goal? And he was like, no, the way they were scoring, we needed touchdowns. He didn't answer why they didn't run the ball, which was my question. First half, would you just say 120 yards in for 20? Yeah. I would have run. I opinion, in my opinion, you failed twice inside the 10 to score. All right. Take your points. Get the ball to start the second half and you're likely going to have a lead. Oh, next time the Cowboys get the foot. And the hat back pass. All right, let's get to that when the Cowboys shift continues in a moment. Ever since I wanted to talk about half-backed passes. Man. Comical stuff, man. Comical stuff. And I think that's what makes me nervous. You look at one touchdown that was, the call was upheld. And then you look at the half-backed pass. Who threw that pass, guys? I'd receive a pass. Is Antonio Hamilton? It was a wide receiver. It was. Which one? Two of them. Half-backed pass. The one to the end zone. The one to the end zone. Yes. But I believe is Antonio Hamilton in the room. Yeah. Antonio Williams is not Hamilton. Antonio Williams. Yeah, it was 14. And you know, I would receive it. Was it, yeah. McClure? Was it McClure? Yeah. He's a hell of a receiver. But I thought he made a mistake on that play. He was expecting like a quarter-backed pass.

33:00But you know what I mean? He was expecting a quarter-backed pass. Not in the ring. Yeah. Was it in the ring? I don't think he was in the ring. But it was a duck. And so considering that, he should have really, once he knew that he had the guy by five yards of quarterback, he should have really just turned around and started back pedaling and waiting on the ball. That was a clear mistake that a veteran wide receiver rarely makes knowing that you've got another wide receiver throwing it to you. That was a fortunate on our part to get away with that. Hey, Cliff Keensperry. We were talking about him a couple of weeks ago and him moving on from the commander's blow comes in and I'm telling you, the officer play calling for the commanders, man, his head scratches a few times. They did the reverse at a point in time in the game. And I'm sending myself, man, this is a bad place for a lot of these calls. One of them was they did a bubble and then the next play they did a bubble throwback. Yeah.

34:01What? I'm like, this guy's trying to get fired tonight. That was the Philadelphia Super Bowl play, right? Throw it back to the quarterback. Yeah, but it wasn't, you can't, you already show tip to your car. Because you did it the previous play. So you can't just come back and do it again. You know, we're not surprised by that now. He just really walked into a pothole at that time. Well, the other thing we ignored on the goal line stand was the fact that they did a pretty good job on both of those past plays when you're probably expecting a run. Those were good. Yes. And they did a positive. His past is either high. They did. You know, and who knows what would have happened if he didn't get tripped. That was not. I think he maybe even threw him away. It wasn't there. Yeah. On those two first two. Yeah. Can I brag about somebody right quick? Yes. For Kittle Kelsey. I want to get back to that. Can we get back to that because we dogged him out last week. No, you did.

35:02I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I just want to know. What I'm saying is, but he took a lot of flak. We're not going to talk about his block. We're going to talk about his past catch. We're going to talk about him in the red zone. And man, just his ability to when he's one on one with a linebacker, that is a mismatch. And that exploited it. And it's and he looked good, man. And that's what we that version of him is what we need. When he is confident and running his routes the way that he is, that is the best version of Jake Ferguson that we can get. And it going into a game like this and we'll get to the Ravens. But I'm telling you, that is going to be one of those things that, especially when teams are saying, we are going to pick our poison like the commanders did. The commander said, George Pickens, you're not going to beat us. CD, we don't think you can beat this toe sovere. And they never and they never adjusted. They never adjusted.

36:03And that's why CD had the game that he had. But I'm telling you, when your third receiver and they shut down the run the way that they did because the commanders made us force DAC to be one dimensional. But man, when you have that many weapons and you can deal like that and you're not getting the pressure that you think you can. Man, I love the way Jake Ferguson came on play, man. That was the way they always attack DAC and the Cowboys offense. They want to get up in their faces and they're going to have a lot of blitzes. That's just the way that everyone's going to try to take. You have no choice. You either sit back and let them pick your port or just go after them. They decide to go after them. I just thought that he played extremely well. I thought that the pass that he threw to Ferguson in the end zone, he had to catch that ball. I mean, I love it when DAC has his mind made up and it's successful. The second one. The second one, yes, of course. Yes, yes, hell of a catch. But I mean, did he have a choice? The DB was all on him.

37:04The pass was right in there. I don't even know if he tested with his right hand because he threw it in there so hard. He stuck it. He stuck it. He stuck it. You think maybe they didn't realize that Ferguson had eight touchdowns last year? I don't know what they were thinking, but that's what we look at. We look for him. We look for him when we get down the in zone, down close to the in zone. And so I did like the way he played. I didn't really pay much attention to his blocking because nobody out there was blocking well at all when it came to our running game. And that's something else I wanted to talk about. How are we looking on our offensive line? I mean, I don't know how they grade him out or whatever, but it seemed as if, except for I think the second to the last drive when we really put one together, where we really needed that point though. You were trying to run. It was the 80, 87-year drive I think it was. That was when our offensive line really came to play. They started wearing the commander's defensive line down, started going against those corner

38:09backs, giving them fits. That's when the Cowboys, Javante Williams had his one run of more than three yards. It was a nine yard run. Well, he also had a 25 yard run that got called back. True. Can we just say it? You missed Hollisman. Well, yeah, I think so. I know we were. I know we were. But that's not to put the blame on TJ Bayer. No, no, no, no, not at all. You just know he's a road grader. You know he's a guy that's going to get in sync with guys next year. Absolutely. Absolutely, but as we've been talking about Tyler Gaiden, Mickey, I think you feel a little bit better about Tyler Gaiden after two weeks, right? I think he's taken the step he's needed to take. Because you've been unapologetic about how you've been on 60. So I'm just asking that, yes, great amount, give him some grace. He has improved. They're still having trouble on the other side. But there was one play where Ferguson was lined up next to, which one was it?

39:13The tight end was lined up next to one of the tackles. And oh, it was Gaiden. And Gaiden turned in to do something else. And Ferguson didn't ship the outside guy. And the guy came in untouched at Dac. And it was like, well, okay, somebody made a mistake there. You can't turn loose the defensive end and help out inside. Or if you thought the tight end was going to chip him instead of going outside. So yeah, that was weird. I think there are coordination with five guys without Tyler Smith. There is a little bit off, especially in the running game, right? Yeah. I think Ferguson had a problem when he slid. I think he slid one play. And I thought he heard his leg or something. I didn't notice it. You didn't see the Ferguson's having the problem.

40:13I thought he took a lick. Yeah, sure. He took a lick. Yeah, I thought he took a lick. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you tight end that balled out, spat him for on specialty. I'm about that. He was baller. That's a big dude there. That's a big dude. He came down there. Oh, speed. He was getting down there. That's right. He had two tackles on special takes. One of the other things that I'm looking for and just looking at it, you know, from my vantage point in the stadium, Kovante Turpin every year gives you like, he is always at just an arm away, a trip away from taking it to the house. And then when he does have any success, I can guarantee you, I bet you a dollar to a miller light and I can't bet anything that a flag is going to come out every time. And it's like, come on. He was so mad. He was mad. I thought you were going to say Mickey's circling. He was mad. And those plays happen. I mean, it was up there. They finally, they finally did a little bit of blocking, right?

41:14Now, the other thing they did to compensate on special teams was for, uh, Aubrey to give those goofy kickoffs. The guy, it's bouncing and they can't hand. So it helped the coverage because remember last week, their coverage was terrible. Yeah. And so they made an adjustment. It's like, okay, there's a name for it. Ugly kickoff. Yeah. Whatever the ball is squirreling around. Not the watermelon kick. No, let me say this. Oh, 60 yard. Man, that would have been good from 75. That ball hit up on the screen. I don't know if you guys, if I mentioned it here, I wrote about it. Uh, I want to say it was in Wednesday's practice, all right? They're at the Ford Center. Yeah. Everybody else is doing the pre, they're pre practice stretch. Aubrey standing on the 50 yard line, right? By himself and he's got the little ball holder thing they kick off. He must have kicked four times and every one of them hit the back wall at the Ford Center

42:16from 60 yards out and it was right down the middle. And when I saw him lining up, I'm going, oh, this is a piece of cake. I already seen four of these. So pure. And he just rushes it. I saw, my family was over and I didn't realize how long the field goal was. And when you saw him kick it, he just looked like he's just chilling. He just kind of, you know, just a little. There's no extra swing. It's like he was doing some Tai Chi or something. He's just out there and Tai Chi. It just, and I'm not that. What the hell you stay slim, Tai Chi? No, I hate Tai Chi. No. At the YMCA, you just ever sit on that. Lately class. I'm doing the class. All right, ladies. When I saw how it was a 60-year-old and word landed, that just amazing. It just amazing. We are blessed. And I think the next drive, we went to 20-year-old line. I told my son, man, if we just get 15 more yards, we got chances to get another field goal.

43:19So yeah, that would have been, but 85-year-old. Yeah. Geez, man. This guy can kick it from anywhere. All right, we continue with more of the Cowboys shift in just a moment. But they had to turn who lock or that was locked. Yeah. Yeah. Durant was. Um, I think you said it.

49:29Hamstring hamstring. Yeah. Yeah. So stepped on him. He stepped on hamstring. That's the weird place for hamstring. So I'll connect right on this hamstring. Right on. I'll connect. I'll explain. That's unbelievable. But, you know, the thing about this team, as we go through younger DBs now, because we're going to have to, right, come up with somebody else. That's right. You know, you got to come up with some players that believe in themselves. Well, there's a reason why Downs ended up playing 100% of the snaps and never came off to feel. And he's going to have a tough time this year, but he can take it. Right. He can take it. I love him. He's going to have his issues. But then he's going to come back and make plays just like he made when he comes back. Which is what a DB has to do, right? You're not going to shut anybody. You're not going to shut anybody. But you got to make plays to offset it. And that's where these young kids that are coming in, they're going to have to understand that. We were talking about doing the Q and A. You got to have some guys that are going to have

50:29to outplay themselves. You can't keep coming in there and say, oh, I'm one on one now. I guess I'll give up a curl route. I guess I'll give up a out route. Yeah, he's going to catch catch me on the PI every once in a while. You have to have fine. I hope they have some DB there who has the mentality to say, I'm not going to let you burn me all that game long. I'm going to have enough respect for myself to break up a play, to make an interception, to make an imprint on this wide receiver that I'm going up against. Reval had a pass break up. That was, that's right. That was good. Stepping the right direction. That's right. You have five snaps in the game. Yeah. I'm glad you mentioned him because in real time, like you said, he is still competing. As you're talking about guys, giving up plays, but understanding, look, it's just as a corner back, you know, man, short-term memories, everything. You got to step back up and play, you know, make the next play. Here's where short-term memory fails you.

51:29If you're going down the sidelines and you're in the wide receiver, you're all looking back for the ball and you're looking at the receiver over the wrong shoulder. You got to remember, they're going to come at you again. You can't look over the wrong shoulder and let the ball go over your head. You have to track the ball as the wide receiver is tracking the ball this way. So you can see where the ball is. Charlie, you're looking inside or outside? You're looking inside, right? That's right. The field is. That's where the ball is coming from. You, they keep looking, he's looking at his thing is, I can see it now. He likes to crowd the receiver up against the sidelines. I get that. But because he's up against the sidelines, he can't go anywhere else. He's not going to come back on the back, back door fade. You have to turn this way inside to track the ball. You can't see the ball when you're turning towards the sidelines looking at the receiver. He did that twice and they almost caught it. I think that's the one where they upheld the challenge. So that's just something he's going to have to learn. Don't look at the receiver. By the time you're 40 years down the field, you don't need to look at him anymore.

52:32The ball is yours. It's here. It's not, he's not your number one concern right now. And so once they start getting into that and it's tracking the ball more, we have fewer PIs and fewer D passes. Well, and I think the pass he broke up was an indication of his reach. Yes. He's there. He's there. He's there. He's there. Right. He's there. Man, Elvis and walked down the hall way that way. All right. And go tell him that. Because I was, that's a great evaluation. Somebody needs to continue to remind him because as you continue to say, if we can see that, other teams can see that as well. They get nervous when the ball's up there.
