Psalm 136: Praise for the LORD's Everlasting Mercy / Many Mercies / A Litany of Thanksgiving/ The Great Hallel. Starts, "O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." His love endures forever, even as he murders people and kills babies. His love endures forever, while cancer slays our loved ones and people go hungry. His love endures forever, and also there's a report out now that aliens do in fact exist. His love endures forever, but hang on a minute can we talk about aliens for a minute? Holy shit! ALIENS!

Psalm 137: The Mourning of the Exiles in Babylon. Starts, "By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept." In 1992, the rock/reggae group Sublime released a live cover of the Rastafarianon song "Rivers of Babylon," in part based on the opening verses of Psalm 137, on their album 40oz. to Freedom.
