15:30watching them have a hundred win season. And at the end of the day, he would come out and hug his pitcher, the end of the like, that was fun. It was like good. It was some baseball fun and it just didn't work out. No, by making too much of it. I mean, I think he meant a lot to the city of Baltimore. I think that if he would have stayed there and they would have extended him, I think people would have been happy with it. And you know, he seems like a guy that would have been great for the community, but just didn't work out that way. See, Rosie? No, it didn't. So I wonder if Baltimore is going to be one of those deals that they regret years from now. He's still only 28th. Multi-time all-star. Depends on a couple of things. Like, you know, how much does Besayo catch? What does he do? Because, you know, that's the reason they traded at. They felt like they had a guy they could step in and at least, you know, take over the offensive side of things.

16:31But again, like, is he going to continue to be the everyday catcher for the next, for the foreseeable future? So if that happens and he's a productive player, then no, like, you can't have two guys sharing that same position. And so I don't think they'll regret it if he performs well. But if he doesn't and they're in limbo for a catcher, you Cleveland's a little bit different. Most teams understand, like, you guys have your defensive catchers knew of that. And finding a good catcher is hard. There's just not a lot of good catchers in the game today. I don't really understand the reason why it's a very difficult position. But to find a guy that can provide offense and defense as a catcher is very difficult. So if Besayo isn't that guy, I think you, I think you start to double or to think about a little bit more. But I think it was the right time. You know, I think they tried to sell high on him and, you know, we'll see what the package ends up delivering over the next couple of years. A lot of evaluators like the package they got back.

17:33Again, that's still kind of to be seen. But, you know, if anything, I think most fans say, let's, they'd rather trade a year too early than too late. And maybe that's what they're going to get here. I don't know, man. There's still a lot up in the air as far as grading what's happening. So let's deal with Adley first, whose war and war is not and I'll be all, but his war has gone down in each of the last several seasons. And some of that has been because he's been hurt and some of it he just hasn't produced. Now he is still elite at throwing guys out at framing. He's still a great defensive catcher and that does add value. And particularly when you still have some pop in your game and you can hit some home runs. Now he hasn't shown that in Boston because last night was just the 16th game he's played since the trade, right? He had the elbow issue when he got traded. And then the last week he's had a wrist issue that had kept him on the line up several days. I won't say that Baltimore will look back at this and say what the heck were we doing

18:38because they got this right handed pitcher Anthony Eiersson who is, is the guy to watch. He's a top 50 prospect. And for a team that has really had trouble getting their hands on the right type of pitching, the end of the day, if he turns into a front line starter, then you can't say that it was a bad trade. I just think it hurts people's hearts more than the practicality of the deal. Agreed. I mean, I think that people really fell in love with Adley. Like he was a very great ambassador for the city of Baltimore and that team. So I agree with that. And if you're talking about Samuel Bessio, is he going to hit? Is he going to hit enough to get the thought of Adley out of everyone's mind? He has not since June 1st, 177, 254, 335 for the 590 OPS. And that's actually the tool that they're worried about is ability to lead a pitching staff. It wasn't that they gave him the extension out the gate because they were like, this dude can rake. So we might move him to first base, but he's going right.

19:40He was raking up until that point. He had an 860 OPS and then that was at through May. And then now he's sitting at a 723 because of the numbers I just mentioned. So there's two sides of this. We want to hear from the Baltimore fans and how you felt when Adley was traded, has it changed at all in the month plus and then the Boston fans, right? I mean, you haven't really, I mean, you've seen a couple of weeks worth of games. That's it out of him. But wonder where you are, where your head space is with him. A few more games like last night. 22:47And he turned to me and he goes, Rose, you are the first guy I've ever seen. Use of wristband for actual sweat. It wasn't for show. Was not to look good. I was just sweating my ass. It was horrible. It was absolutely horrible. How about tonight's pitching matchup? Chris sale and Christopher Sanchez. Dude, if you, if you're not watching your own team, go find this game. So you're going to watch this matchup, right? It's going to be phenomenal. I mean, the entire weekend's great. I love the day. So I'm assuming there's two weekend series then. Yeah. So this one and the next weekend will be in Atlanta. Oh, how awesome. Big weekend crowds. I'm very excited. I think the number one thing I'm looking forward to in this series. Well, I mean, like the Phillies have been playing so damn well. There's a lot of good players. I want you under and I want the lights to go down. I want to walk up music and I want to see him come in and try to have to,

23:50and you have to go through the top of the Bragers lineup. I want to see it. I want to see him face medals and I want to see him face around the Cunha Jr. And I want that crowd to be going absolutely nuts. I actually wanted to get him in a little bit of a trouble. Just a little traffic on the base. But see what happens. Okay. That's a great one. The guy I'm circling, if I'm Philadelphia's, how the hell do we get Matt Olson out? He's got 15 homers lifetime in that ballpark. The only places he's hitting more homers are the two places he's called a home in his career out in Oakland and Atlanta. And when you say, well, okay, but he's got to go against Christopher Sanchez tonight. He's got a couple bombs in that stadium against that tough left. And he's got over a thousand OPS. So I'll be interested to see how they're going to pitch him. To me, that's, that's a big deal. I want to see a Bryce Harper can be the star that he is in a huge series like this.

24:51But it really all gets going with the two left handers we got tonight. So sales made two starts against Philly this year. 13 innings, one earned run allowed 16 K Sanchez made one start, gave up three runs and six innings, none of which were earned and had eight strikeouts. By the way, the Braves have taken five of six so far. So if they win just two out of the last seven games that they're going to play, then they get the tiebreaker. So I'm also be curious to see how Don Manningley manages the games early in this series in order to maybe put a little more pressure on Atlanta because that tiebreaker could be enormous. So a lot of tiebreaker taught coming up, man. The AL is too messy to even start to talk about tiebreakers, but you're talking about Philly's Braves having to do that. Then Padre's dying backs at the end of the year and a three game set that's going to decide it. That's going to be so fun. You on Durant, I feel like you could say this almost every single month. He's going to have one earned run or gave up one earned run in August.

25:55That's good. Yeah, pretty good. How would you play it if you were Donnie baseball in terms of the tiebreaker? Would you... I mean, you've got to make up a lot of ground. Yeah, I mean, I think that's what you focus on. I mean, you don't focus on like, hey, like I think you... You try to almost like go all out in the series against them and maybe rest your guys in the series in between, if you will. Do you know what I mean? We might push our ball pen a little bit more this weekend and next weekend and then during the week next week, let's... We'll have some other guys. I think that's kind of how you have to approach it. The head to head games mean... They just mean more. They do. Yeah, I think he has to manage these first two in particular Friday, Saturday, like it's playoff games. I really do because you need to... If you get back to within like five and make it five three, the division series heading

But it is a journeyman who is grabbing the starring role these days. There's a swing in a mess and Fortes strikes out on the breaking ball away. Here are a couple of walks. And with two outs, his fly ball to center should end it.

27:58Carter takes care of it. The inning is over. Control finishes off Ace spectacular evening. Seven shut out innings against the race. Yeah, he did his job against the AL's best team. He is allowed just four earned runs in his last five starts. He has the lowest ER in baseball since August 1st. Not bad for a guy who is wandered from coast to coast in north to south all over the place over the last several years. Didn't you have a really strong stop in Colorado as well? We're like, hey, maybe they call it out of rock. He should end up signing this guy. He's kind of figured out how to pitch in court. Maybe just to get pitcher anywhere. How about that? He's, yeah, I mean, he's just been great at going deep into games for the Rangers. He's kept people off the base pass. He doesn't walk many guys. It's been a really nice year for him. You know, he has to outsmart guys. Stand for kid, by the way. Yeah. It's an all star reliever. Yeah, because he just doesn't, he doesn't have swing and miss stuff. He doesn't have huge strikeout numbers at all.

29:02It's pitch for five teams since the start of the 2023 season. Oh, good for him. He's a funny guy. He's a little quirky. I dig him though. And I'm rooting for him. He's done a great job. So if you look at the standings, Rangers are two back of Houston in the West and they are tied with Toronto. Those two teams are just a half game back of Cleveland for the third wild card. So here's my question. What is more likely the AL East has four playoff teams or the AL West gets a second one? It's difficult. If I'm, there's two ways you can think about this. The Rangers basically have the tie breaker between those two. They have three games set the 18th through the 20th of September. But if I'm looking at the schedules ahead and just like teams left to play, I think I'm leaning Toronto. Now I think the AL Central teams actually, that's my actual answer. The NAO Central team will grab the third wild card.

30:05But you're asking me between these two teams. Toronto and Texas basically. Toronto has the easier schedule going forward. I mean, they got three in Baltimore. Detroit has not looked the same. They have three against them. Then they put that Texas series. Then another series against Baltimore. And then they end with Cincinnati, Texas. On the other hand, I mean, they're playing, they beat Tampa last night. They have three more against Tampa than they're at Seattle, at Arizona. I still believe Seattle has some fight in them and Arizona is doing what they're doing. Then it's Boston, Toronto and the Mets who they've met have been playing really well. So just strength and schedule wise, I'll go, I'll go Toronto here between these two teams. Yeah, so you got to think about it. It's very, very convoluted. Can either the Rangers or the Astros, can the Rangers and the Astros be better than Toronto, some form of Toronto Cleveland?

31:05Minnesota. I guess that's kind of it. And Baltimore. Well, you mentioned it. Baltimore and Toronto play each other. They play them in two series. Yeah, step more to every team. They play two series. They're going to cannibalize each other possibly. I still like Toronto the most out of all of those teams. And then I like the Rangers and then I like the Astros. I just tried to give an award on talking baseball going over all the tie breaker scenarios. And I was like, I got this. I'm going to do this. And then I started doing it out loud. I'm like, this is going to take forever. Like there's just too many teams still in it. Like this is such a mess. Don't wait. It's almost honestly, Chris. Maybe we should make a vow on this show. It's almost too early to even bring this freaking race up again. Like it's, we're talking about a different team every day because it's switching every day. We should like set like a two week.

32:05Like we're not talking about this damn race for two. What else are we going to talk about? I don't know. It's just we're going to be going back and forth. And people you said this last week, you said this. Yeah, because it's all changing right in front of our eyes. And this is why I believe that the third wild card has been a success. Like all these teams were talking about all these teams still in the freaking minutes. So it's been six games under 500 still with a chance to make the playoffs. Like, I don't know. I think it's great for baseball. What did you say? Did you really say that Seattle still has a fighting chance? I there's still some fight in them. I said, okay. Can't lose a moment and a half back. By the way, what an NBA championship a few years ago. That's maybe the softest thing I have ever heard from an organization and like the Brewers aren't supposed to be that. Oh, not who they are. They do so much right now. I was about to rip on the outfit like the patent loafers with the jeans. I would not a huge fan of that and the throwing motion a little bit, but he's you know, obviously a very great. I don't love the outfit. Maybe I'm just not as stylish as I think I am, but I'm all on Tyree's side here. Like I and I'm that's that's a nice little twist right there to do it at a Cubs game against the Brewers.
