So tip of the cap to Charlie Olegs, Mike McClure, who batted him a lot of people in the chat. We're saying Danny, don't get against Olivera. Nice call, guys. Dominant performance. 5:09But today, what do you have on the show? In any commentary and chip, I'll go to you later in the show here. Any commentary on the big 12 scrapping the floor thing and going back to Hardwood? Yeah, look, all the things here, I'm mostly a computer guy. See, that's how I'm able to really handle and tackle every sport there. I see someone in the chat saying no emotion from me. Yeah, I'm essentially a computer. The only one that can crack a smile is basically Chip Patterson on a Friday morning. And someone else noted that in the chat. So that is where I'm at as far as today. I'll bring a golf here. A lot of college basketball on the other stream coming up. Very much excited for that. And the court, just an absolute disaster in the big 12 tournament. They got to test it in the women's court just a little bit. I'll say a great idea. Love the idea of the court. Just the execution wasn't there. And they kind of rushed it out a little bit early, I think. I would say props to big 12 tournament,

6:13making a change. That's a pretty big change. Like, I get it. I thought it would just be okay, we're just not going to do this again next year. But the fact that they're swapping it out between games here. Absolutely love it because we've got an awesome big 12 semifinal here with the two games. I mean, these could be two of the final eight teams in the NCAA tournament. I think, I'm sorry. See, I didn't mean to jump in there. But that to me is the storyline, is that the confidence it takes to admit that something was wrong, something that you had invested money in, and that you were really trying to make as part of your sales pitch. And the number one thing that I think should have changed the minds of leadership is when players started slipping, and when players started complaining about the lights giving them migraines. If it is a player safety, player well-being issue, then get it out of here. You know, like, I did not like it as a fan, but just don't change it to please me. Change it for the competitors on the court because Mike is right. They switched it out for the semifinals because the semifinals of this big 12 tournament are teams that could all win the national championship.

7:13And what if a player injures himself because of this slippery glass court that you were trying to get a good little, you know, pop on in terms of publicity? So I also thought, by the way, that, you know, everyone's been watching the Big East tournament as well. Madison Square Garden, one of our like, holiest houses of hoops, the court design they're going for almost looks extra wood, you know, like almost a drive home, how not glass they are in MSG. It's like, look at this is hard wood. This is hard wood that we are playing on right here in NYC. So yeah, I don't know what it's going to look like. We have seen Big 12 do funky looking courts, even with regular material, but yeah, the glass, the glare, the injury risk, you know, props to them for being able to switch that out for the players. Yeah, and I would say being there like app port, like it looks better on TV than it does in person. I agree, talking about that sitting there watching the game, like it is fuzzy, like it's like dirty glass essentially on your eyes when you look at it.

8:14So it looked way better on TV than it did in person. I can't believe that they, I mean, it was definitely a financial hit to remove this court for these last two games or last three games, but credit to them for my opinion doing the right thing. Yeah, and credit to them for doing the right thing. Side note, I also thought it was a really bad idea in the first place. Speaking of bad ideas, buckets, I thought this dice roll thing would be a bad idea. Your guy Hadecki Matsuyama is playing pretty well at the players' championship. Are you now a golf guy? And oh, by the way, we got to get to some picks. You've got two soccer picks. I do, and I'm going to start because every time I'm going to show with Mike McClure here, I got to make sure to put my little Mickey Mouse soccer guy on the mic. I am a big golf guy now. I know what a birdie is. I know what an Albatross is. I even know what a par is. So doing some training to think. Explain the Albatross, and then let's hear it. Oh, damn it. I don't know if that is though. It's educating me. It's one better than a birdie, right? Oh, you're so close. You're so close. Two better than a birdie. Because he goes in between them.

9:16Yes. I'm watching H. I don't remember his last name. Matsuyama, I'm learning. Let's, okay, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Soccer, soccer, football. Let's talk about that. Please get me off of golf. All right, we've got a couple big games this afternoon, but only two of them that caught my eye. And the first one is the English championship matchup, matchup, where Rexam are taking on Swansea. And I say the same thing every week. And I had someone once tell me buckets. I'm tired of betting the same single thing every single week. I don't care if you're tired. If it caches, that's what I care about. And right now, Rexam, when playing at home this season, have cached both teams to score in 81% of their home fixtures. And 18 out of 22 home matches. Both teams to score has hit. And they're going to give it to us at minus 120. Because Swansea knows how to play a little bit of defense. Because Swansea likes to think or keep things a little bit cagey. I don't care if something is hitting at this rate. And if you've got a Rexam team fighting for a spot in the Premier League next year fighting to get out of the playoff position into an automatic qualifying spot and fighting to make this thing happen,

10:17then you got to bet both teams to score here. Because their defense is not why Rexam are succeeding. They're succeeding because they have one of the best offences in the entire championship right now. And this line should not be playable, but it is every single week. So I will continue to play that every single week. Bet number two, Alivez taking on Via Real in La Liga. And see, I got a question for you. What is a bigger motivator? Is it fear of failure or a desire to succeed? Fear of failure is a bigger motivator. For you or is that just the right answer? I think that's, I think if you asked 100 people, I think 65 would say fear of failure. And the other thoughts, because that goes against my bet here. So I want it to be the last to start. Oh, I actually think it's 65 the other way. Oh, there you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The desire to succeed at the question. No, that's fear because it's Via Real team is fighting for a Champions League spot. And they are looking so good while they're doing it. And the only motivation that Alivez has right now is the fear of relegation. This team that is absolutely spiraling, but they're trying to put something together. They're trying to hold on for their dear life, but it's just not working.

11:17Alivez looks terrible. They are getting run over by some of the worst teams in La Liga. And now they're playing a Via Real side that is fourth in La Liga, a Via Real side that has the third best attack in the entirety of Spain, only behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, a Via La Real side that has some the best strikers on the planet. And you're gonna give me their one and a half team total at plus money, at plus 120. That's stupid. That doesn't make sense. I absolutely cannot understand this line. I know it's gonna be the buckets. It's a trap. I'll fall for this trap every time. I don't care. The line is too good for an Alivez team that can't defend and a Via Real team that has one of the best attacks in Spain right now. See ya. All right, we got a couple of picks there. I'm sorry I answered the question incorrectly buckets. I didn't. I thought about going to literally anyone else, but I wanted to give you a chance at redemption this morning and you botched it. So I don't know why do I need to redeem myself? What did I do? I would've just voted Coach Carter. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. It is that we are powerful beyond measure. 12:17Okay, I'm not going to Danny either. That's what I was, that was really good stuff. I actually still haven't seen Coach Carter. Buckets texted me one day randomly and said, hey, have you ever seen Coach Carter? And I said no. And that was pretty much it. I said, go watch Glory. I don't know. You said no, it's too cheesy. Go watch another movie or something like that. Well, I mean, anyway, let's move along. We've got a lot more picks to get to. We got a lot of questions in the chat as well. I'll tell you what, Chip, here's what we're gonna do. We've got golf picks from me and Mike. We've of course got UFC from Danny Brasco. Chip, you've got four picks and we're all gonna have more picks or you all are gonna have more picks on the one o'clock special show today for the college basketball. But you have two totals and two sides. So Chip, how about this? How about you give two totals now and you get about your two sides later on in the show? Sounds good. We just just jump in, let's let it rip. Yeah, let's go. Let's go. All right. Okay, so first we're gonna start off with a good old-fashioned CLV. Of course that is Chip line value. That is what I'm doing my work a day ahead.

13:18That's when I take my position and that's when I wake up in the morning. I say, oh no, the overnight's disagree with me. But that's when we just double down. That's Mike said we go more chips in because we've had two wildly different games when Tennessee and Vanderbilt have played each other. Now in the first game, a much more lower possession, lower scoring game. The second one, which was just played less than a week ago in the regular season finale up into the 80s. Now that did not have Nate admit in the game, the star freshman for Tennessee. But Vanderbilt was really able to get whatever they wanted in terms of moving the ball around on this Tennessee defense, getting good looks from two and getting to the free throw line. I mean, Mark Beintin, who I already can see, consider one of those scheme advantage coaches in college basketball. He really found something that was working against the balls. And I just think that in this Tennessee Vanderbilt game, if you look at the two games and you were to split them down the middle

14:18in terms of their total point scored, it'd be around like, yeah, you know, like 150 one or so. But I'm not even looking at it like that because Nate admit came back into the lineup for Tennessee's game against Auburn. And he did not have a good first half. But by the end of the game, scoring up into the 20s, getting back in rhythm, one of the best players on the floor. So I think Tennessee's offensive ceiling is actually a little bit higher than what this indicates. And as I'm considering the way that this game might go, I think it'll be a little bit of a cat and mouse style game, where either one of these teams is capable of some spurred ability against the other Vanderbilt's defense. I think it's not to be trusted against any opponent and Tennessee's defense. Again, I don't know if it's going to be able to have the answers after the Commodores were able to figure some things out, scoring up into the 80s. Having, by the way, the lead, the entire game and a lead by as many as 14, 15 points of 13-minute mark in the second half. So it could be cat, mouse, it could be going bucket for bucket.

15:19But Vanderbilt has unlocked some things against Tennessee's defense. And I just think that with two polar opposite games in terms of the way they played in the regular season, this one actually skews a little bit higher. If you were watching this now, if you're listening to this later, you can get this around like 145, 146. But again, anything up to, and I mentioned this in my sports line, in my sports line pick last night, anything up to 150, I think I'm comfortable with. Another call your number shot. Now, take a look at the game, handicap it, and just sort of have a good feel of what you'd be looking for. I think Alabama's going to be able to score 90 points. This is going to be going up against an Ole Miss defense that, I mean, look, it is fun to consider that Chris Beard has taken an underperforming Ole Miss team, and he's going on a little bit of run in the SEC tournament, and maybe he's going to be a bid thief. And because of Chris Beard's coaching prowess, because of his history, I think a lot of people are interested and invested.

16:20But this Rebels team is not a great defensive team, and their success in their victory yesterday was thanks to a lot. And I mean, a lot of very difficult shots. Georgia was ice cold shooting in the first half. I just look at this game, and I think that Alabama, again, should be able to get up to 90, checked out the team total, short off it's 87 and a half. I know that that is wild for a conference tournament game. But look, it's not three years ago, Alabama had statistically one of the best defenses in the country, third, nationally, and defensive efficiency. But if you go back and you look at the last two years of Alabama games, all of them are absolute track meets because this Alabama team defensively is not fantastic. And so they've got a score to overcome the buckets they're given up. But with Ole Miss playing its third game in three days, I don't want to trust those legs. So Alabama to get up into 90 points team total over 87 and a half. All right, we've got a lot of questions, a lot of comments,

17:21a lot of picks in the chat that I do want to get to a little bit on this show. So we will get to those Mike and in-chip, a lot of people isolating you to, of course, on those picks. 20:29No matter what's going on in any other sport, it's hard to upstage a cage fight. Just stray that on its general principle. First off, let's start with the first fight of the night. Give me the underdog to kick things off. I like Sam Page, Sam Hughes here. I'm taking her at plus 130 on the money line. This is a rematch. She's taken on Pierre Rodriguez, a fighter that she lost a very narrow bout to about three years back, 29, 28 loss. But if you look at the score cards in that fight, one judge gave it the first to Hughes, and then the other two gave the third to Hughes. Rodriguez won 29, 28, but it's one of those bouts that was separated by very thin margins. It could have been 29, 28 either way, and Hughes finds herself in a lot of bouts like that. At this level of women's MMA, you're not going to be separated by too much. There's not crazy power knockouts on display. It's usually grappling, volume striking, the mix of both. Sam does that very well. I like Hughes's ability to box here, and if she can stay off her feet, I think she edges out the rematch this time because Rodriguez has landed five takedowns in that first matchup. In fact, Rodriguez landed eight takedowns in her last fight, also a split decision win.

21:33She's been eakin' him out, but I think Hughes is better at eakin' out fights. She has a split win over Victoria due to Cove, a split win over Stephanie Luciano, and she's starting to really come into her game. She got to finish. It choked over Shauna Bannon, and really put her skills together, training at 4-7-a-may, safe Siyud. I think she's got the better coach. The better all-around skill set, the better experience, and she could beat Rodriguez in the rematch. Now, if I think it's going to be a close fight, and Rodriguez and Hughes are finding themselves in split decisions and really close ones all the time, then why not use the spread? That will inform my next play. I'm going to use Sam Hughes plus three and a half, meaning that I'm banking on her to win at least one round on the combined judges scorecards. I'll shift up to the co-main event of the evening for the second leg, Jillian Robertson, plus three and a half. Robertson is facing Amanda Lamos, 38-year-old veteran kickboxer who's still sharp. She's very good. She's faced the elite of the division, and this is another stylistic clash, because Lamos, the striker, is always having to answer questions against these elite grapplers. And against him, she's one in three. She famously beat Mackenzie Dern, the now champion, but she lost, who dominated for all five

22:37rounds by Jean-Way Lee's wrestling. Now that's Jean-Way Lee. And her last bout, she was beat by Tatiana Suarez as wrestling. She was also armed barred and submitted by Vierna Jandy-Roba. She struggles against the elite grapplers. Now I saw my guy Gippers in the chat saying, Danny, do you think Robertson's wrestling is on Suarez's level? No, I don't. But I do think her grappling is of that elite ilk. She can maybe not, you know, rest her laurels and say that she's at the level of Wailie and Suarez and Jandy-Roba, but she's right there when she mixes it all together, training at the goat shed. She's much improved her striking and when her hands are crispier, the kickboxing is a little bit better. It opens up the takedown threat. It opens up the ability to get to those positions where she can work her Jiu-Jitsu. And I just think at some point in this fight, Lamos is going to struggle on the ground, which she often does against these elite grapplers. Robertson beat strikers, Lamos loses to grapplers. I'll take Robertson to at least win around in this fight. And lastly, we'll go to the main event. And I'm taking Kevin Vasejo's by decision that A.A. in Argentinian crazy pronunciations in the UFC. I learned recently.

23:37Vasejo's decision plus 240, I think a lot of people are going to bet the knockout because he's coming off an electrifying spinning backfist KO over Giga Chikaze, excellent elite kickboxer in the division. But I think he's going to have to go a hard five rounds against Josh Emmett, a guy that went five rounds against Ilia Toporia in a one-sided beating. He's still last to the final bell. And even though he's 41 years old, you saw in his fight against LaRone Murphy and Elite opponent, a title contender right now, that he can push the pace, that he can make you drag you into deep waters, take you into a tough fight in a 48-47 loss against the title contender in Murphy. He was the one looking like the fresher fighter at the end, pushing the pace and moving forward. So I think Vasejo's a primary boxer and striker is going to be forced to box with Emmett here. Maybe he mixes in his wrestling, shows some evolution to his MMA game. But we saw a young prospect in Loner Kavanaugh recently go the hard five rounds against Marino in Mexico. So I'm envisioning a similar performance for Vasejo's here to show that he's not just a knockout artist. He can go hard five with a veteran and prove he's a real contender in this division. I'm glad you clarify that it's Vasejo's because I definitely would have gotten that wrong.

24:40By the way, forgive me for not hearing the front end of the, is it Gillian or Gillian Robertson? Gillian Robertson, straight out of Canada. All right. That's also confusing in my opinion. Let's get to some golf. We got some soccer questions for you buckets, but Mike, you haven't given out your official pick yet. I haven't either. A lot of golf questions in the chat, which we can also handle on this show. But Mike, you've got something on last week's one and done dice roll pick, Ludwig O'Bare. Yes. We're going to back Ludwig when I believe him to be in form and I think he's in form right now. And I think he's far as just raw talent goes. I think he's going to be top five player for the next 10, 15 years. I think he's that good. I like this number here under 70 and a half played this on Fandall plus 110. If you're going to make this 70 and a half, I would price this all the way to minus 115, a very considerable price point edge on a round score like this. Now, of course, playing pretty scoreable right now for a lot of players and others.

25:41Obviously, you're going to struggle just due to the nature of it. But when I look at Ludwig here, very encouraged with some of the ball striking, very good off the tee, very good on approach was even pretty good with the putter. It was just kind of around the green that he lost a little bit there. But just having these back-to-back signature events, he's someone that I really think is going to be, you know, for the next year or two, kind of streaky. So I want him playing back-to-back weeks when he is playing well. That is certainly what he is doing right now. I just like the number here. It's a minus two round. He's sitting three under right now looking at the leaderboard where a lot of players are. I think that a minus five after two would kind of almost feel like an upsetting outcome for him at this point. I think that his baseline probably is a three-under round right now, 69 and a half would be that number. So I'm going under, looking for two under or better. I think he's got upside for five under in this round, though. Also, I do like Scotty today. I would play Scotty's under at 69 and a half if you can find it close to even money or

26:44minus one time. I'm seeing a comment from Zach Kassanki saying, Seb Straukah loves this course. I don't know if that means he just added another birdie to his card. I know he was too under through I think five holes. It looks like since we've been on an unfortunate reality of the golf, it is now minus one twenty-five instead of plus one ten. Wow. Wow. Some of it's the course you're watching guys like Straukah and Conner's and others just really getting it right now. It's super easy scoring, but yes, I would still play it at minus one twenty-five considering the circumstances here again. I think that baseline form should be a three-under round. I would look to see where Scotty is right now too. I think Scotty shoots four or five under today, but yes, today I do like unders on some of those players. I would still play it and apologies for it moving, but unfortunately that is part of trying to bet live round scores in golf. It definitely can get away from you like that. Yeah, and I'll tell you what I think part of that too is the more information that the

27:48line's makers get and the betting action comes in, maybe with round scores, maybe I get you in a little bit earlier in the show if you know what I mean, just so that we can maybe avoid. So that's on me a little bit too with respect to the round scores. Usually what Mike picks, the number is going to change pretty rapidly. I've got a three ball to give out and then we'll get to a lot of the questions and Chip, we still got to get to two of your sides here. I'm going to be really quick here if you watched, I think I mentioned this on the early watch. Yeah, I did because I had Bud Colley as a first round leader who was like 100 to 1 and who for the record was 200 yesterday. He had a pretty good day one. It's not a guy that's on anybody's radar as of late and that totally makes sense because the tail end of his 2025 was not good. Classically, Bud Colley a good ball striker and we just didn't really see that over the last seven, eight months, but where we did see that last year was the Florida swing. We saw it a little bit last year before the Florida swing and we saw it continue through the Florida swing. Now, I started to see glimpses of the old Bud Colley tournament or two ago and now I'm seeing that translate here.

28:49It's part of the reason I had him as a first round leader for spike potential, but what I love about Bud Colley is how he plays in Florida and the fact that if he's back to his true ball striking form, we can kind of call him like a poor man, Seth Strock. That's how I look at Bud Colley. He and this three ball is over Vince Whaley and Chandler Phillips. Chandler Phillips ball striking has been a complete disaster. Vince Whaley not much better, but Whaley can pop here and there and you can certainly get hot with the putter at time. So Vince Whaley would be the main watch out guy for me, Chandler Phillips was eight over par yesterday. That doesn't mean that's going to happen today, but I do think Bud Colley is coming in with much better form than these two. I do think his history in Florida and his history, particularly on this track at TPC sawgrass is much better than the other two here. Bud Colley at plus 128, I try to avoid three balls, but I actually like this one and I like the price on this one as well. I know this one's over at DK, this number, I know some books have this as low as like plus 105. If you can find like plus 110 plus 115 or greater, that's sort of the comfort zone for me here. I've got sources inside the pancake buffet at the hotel that tell me Iowa State is so warming that while Kansas City and with Kansas's greatness has historically been big 12 tournament, kind of like Kentucky at the SEC, it's just kind of like a Kansas convention. It's just very easy for a lot of Kansas fans, Kansas grads to be able to get in there. You get your rock chalk going, but buddy, Iowa State fans have really made it their goal to be able to go in there and be loud and proud and gobble up tickets. And what helps is the way that Iowa State plays because with that intense in your face pressure defense, they can flip a game like that. I mean, Texas Tech was up by double digits in the opening minutes and then all the sudden, the cyclones are just running away with it. Their ability, you know, shout out to all my Evan Mia subscribers out there.

36:06Their ability to stack kill shots in a game, not just one, but multiples that, of course, being a tenno run. It comes from how prolific they can be offensively, how they turn turnovers and empty possessions into easy buckets on the other side and shoot. If you got Taiman Lipsi going off and really finding his bag here in this conference tournament, now you're talking about something that really tips the scales. Now, we are talking about an Arizona team that has incredible interior passing. They are totally playing in rhythm right now. And they didn't even look great when they played against UCF and still were able to win that game by double digits. But I also go back to what happened when these two teams played in Tucson. Because there were a lot of, you know, signs and indicators that it was a classic example of Arizona getting a little bit of boost. I'm talking about Delorso coming in there and having a big performance, talking about a lot of rotational bench players, having big performances, the kinds of things that you see when a really good team is playing at

37:10home. And I would, I would venture that the wildcats are going to be facing almost a road-like environment going up against Iowa State. So as I'm looking at this right now, I put it on sports line at plus four. You can get it at plus four and a half. What I am telling you is that I think this is going to be a one-possession game. And I think Iowa State's got a good chance to win. And what I'm reaching back to like all the way here is a little what if because sometimes you do need to ask what if what if this is just like two years ago when Iowa State just showed up and just it was like it was Kansas State, it was Baylor, it was Houston and it was double digit win, double digit win, double digit win. And they were in your face defensively and it just they made it look like no fun. They ruined the fun of the big 12 tournament and look Arizona's lots of fun. They made actually a little bit of a trend going up against good teams, having good starts and then absolutely wilting late. I'm talking about the Oklahoma Suners and one of those games where they jumped out to a good start only to wilt late was a four point loss to the Arkansas team that they are going to be playing into night's nightcap the SEC quarter final. Now we know that Nigel Pack is an absolute walking bucket. We have seen how the Suners playing with the urgency of potential bubble status have been able to know so far handle business. I mean shoot, they're on a winning streak that went from the end of the regular season and on in to Nashville to the SEC tournament. Arkansas, meanwhile, they've been on

And if it doesn't, you know, that method doesn't occur, then you get your money back. So take a look at those two. That's a nice way to craft some safer UFC plays. 42:25rallying down. I think they ended up losing by seven at the end of this. I think this matchup is a little bit closer to that 20 point gap that Florida had before they let go of the rope. I know Kentucky is already strung together to wins. I did not think they looked particularly impressive against LSU. They even had a good lead against Missouri. And Missouri was able to climb back into that game. I just, I don't know if this Wildcats team is trustworthy. Florida plays down to them, sure, but I just don't think that Kentucky has enough tippy top talent to ride Otega away all the way. I don't trust their front court in this matchup against the Gators. And so I I think I like it with the, I like laying it with the Gators, even though it's an early game against a team that's played twice first game out there for Florida. Just, and looking to hope to talk about home court advantage for Iowa State, that's like one of the most famous ones is how Kentucky fans show up to the SEC tournament.
