this morning. Everyone happy Thursday, happy Thursday night. Football, I hope you're starting your morning out great. And thanks for joining us right here on the early edge brought to you by bed MGM. Make it legendary. What a great start to football season. At least as far as the early edges concerned, let's take a look at the recap screen before we bring in the stars of the show. It is a heavy football day. But I'm going to say that we're going to get to the top of the corner. We're going to get to the top of the corner. We're going to get to the top of the corner. We're going to get to the top of the corner. We're going to have a heavy football day. But we've got MLB and soccer for you, too. We've got another winning recap screen. How about 9-2 in one. losing as well. We'll take 9 2 1 every time and we've got a couple of plays to give out

before I bring in the stars of the show. We got Rams, Niners, Under 48 and a half. This is from the Monday show. David Bierman of course was on that show. We're going under 48 and a half a minus 110 and in soccer, Martin Greens got a Fenerbahce versus Roma under two and a half at minus 128. We got Steve Falkert's in the chat. We got Evan Elliott, Addison Giff to Mike McClaure is in the chat. But who's on the show? We got Wil Brinson, Mr. Brad Tom, Matt Snyder and Larry Hartstein. Will, I got to start with you. What an interesting and great start to the football season. Yeah, the game ended up being awesome. The ending of the game is many NFL games ended up being. It's like the absolutely horrific product for most of the game, but the thrilling ending. Yeah, Sam Donald gets hurt, A.G. Brown gets hurt, Brock Bowers, going to miss a few games. They've been kind of a brutal day on Wednesday in terms of injuries, but an awesome game. I mean, like Drake May, I've been pounding the narrative last year, easiest schedule in 25 years for an NFL team and then you get

smoked in the Super Bowl and throw three picks in the fourth quarter alone. Did the Patriots have a Drake May problem? Brad Thomas, do the Patriots have a Drake May problem? I think they do. The decision making was the biggest problem, right? This is still an elite secondary from the Seahawks and he was throwing ducks out there and I mean, you have to shout out Josh Joe because he kind of struggled in Philadelphia, but looks like he found a home in Seattle getting the game ceiling interception. So it was a Seahawks effort as much as a bad, a bad of a throw from Drake May. Larry, that was a bad throw, but also the just throwing it up to Romeo Dobbs when they were up 10 to three and then basically in plus territory and were basically on their way to win a game. That wasn't just the one bad throw. Your reaction to the game last night? Yeah, horrific drop by Dobbs, but how bad was that interception decision? You have to go back to 2021. If you believe Kyler Murray and Cliff Kingsbury were seven and no, they were on the doorstep of the pack against the Packers down 2421 at the five yard line with 15 seconds left. He throws a pick to Rasul Douglas ending

their undefeated season. It's been that long since a quarterback made his bad a decision as Drake made it last night. We've got a celebrity siding in the chat. A lot of celebrities in the chat, of course, including Mike McClobert. Joe Muso says, see it with the Drake made completions winner on primetime pregame last night. Tune in tonight for more winners. Yes, CBS Sports HQ 6 to 7. Kind of a new setup for primetime pregame and it's really, really cool. Me and Todd Ferman will be on there tomorrow. I hit all my plays on primetime pregame other than the SGP and the first touchdown score. So it was a good night for both Todd and I sniper. It was a great night for you. Again, even the provisional play with Aaron Judge came in your thoughts. Yeah, like I said, it was it was a soft matchup for him. And I know a lot of people talked about how he didn't go on a rehab assignment. But like in the rehab assignment, you're facing minor league caliper pitchers. They're facing the Rockies. It's pretty much the same thing. So I thought once you got the game under his belt, he would start getting some hits and he didn't hit it hard, but he hit a couple kind of soft singles to the outfield. That was kind of what I expected. So I was happy to see that that came in. And I was happy to have NFL as well. I was rocking the multiple

TVs all night with multiple baseball games in the NFLs. That's my happy place, man. Get it to the fall. Get us close to the playoffs for baseball, get us NFL college football. It's great. And you get to kick off happy place with the early edge. Will you're going to kick us off with no bread? You're going to kick us off with a couple of picks. Talk to me about Brock, and then we've got some soccer as well, I believe. Yeah, I have both. I listen, if we could have sit on the show for two hours, I'd give you every sport that's playing today. But we'll start with NFL Brock, pretty. I'm going to his legs. I got over 17 and a half rush yards. So first and foremost, I love taking mobile quarterbacks, or quarterbacks who can move out of the pocket in prime time when the lights are the brightest high leverage situations, quarterbacks typically tend to rely on their legs when things break down. And I do have some question marks about this 49ers offensive line, but we also have to acknowledge that the Rams defensive line before adding miles Garrett was the best in the NFL had the highest pressure rate with the fewest sent blitzes. Basically means they're

downwind. And we're getting to the quarterback without having to send extra bodies. So what does that mean? That means things break down, pockets break down, and it requires the quarterback to scramble. Well, I also want to add in the fact that when that happens, you have to talk about rush integrity. If you break that rush integrity, it allows for big spaces for those quarterbacks to get through. And Brock Pertie has done that just about against every good passing, I mean, rushing attack, excuse me, didn't play against them last season, right? So this is also a very big spot for him to go out there and prove the 49ers are a lot better than what teams or players might be thinking about them. I think it's just such a high levered situation for a guy who's gone over this number and what Forbes last five games, which all happened to be very big high levered situation because what the 49ers were trying to win the division, they were playing in the playoffs. Those are times when you need your quarterback to make good decisions and instead of throwing the ball away or throwing in the danger, he uses his legs. The second play, Champions League. Man, shout out to Como, shout out to Seth Fabregas. He got Como to the Champions League. It hurt my poor

Juventus. Juventus is not in. Como is above them, but it doesn't matter that provides an opportunity for us to find some value. This is going to be almost the biggest celebration in Como's history, getting to Champions League and being able to host the first game of Champions League. What am I going to do? I'm going to attack their most aggressive player and that's Niko Paz. Niko Paz's history on this team has been shoot when you want. Lead the team, take the free kicks. But more importantly, Niko Paz was going to leave over the summer, go out to Real Madrid, decide to stay at Como and chase this Champions League journey. So what does that mean? I'm taking him to take at least four plus shots. He's hit this in two of the three games they played so far. One of the games was away against Genoa, a team that doesn't allow a ton of shots, but the other games, five shots, four shots. I believe no matter what happens, this is going to be an end to end game. Niko Paz is going to rip. We also have to add in the fact that Como love to possess the ball, which means around 61% is what I'm projecting. They're going to have opportunities to shoot and if

there's fouls by Leipzig, he's going to be able to take the free kicks. So I'm also playing with the sub-adjustice. He comes down to the 80th. I get that next player's shot statistics. All right. We got a football play and a football play from Brad Thomas. I have a correction to make for the sports line picks. So the Martin Green play, I think we might have had on the screen that it was in under. It's actually over. So Martin Green's play, Fenerbahce versus Roma. It's over two and a half goals at minus 128. Again, over two and a half goals, Fenerbahce versus Roma. That is Martin Green's pick. All right. Let's keep it moving. We got a lot of questions in the chat. People drop and picks in the chat. Let's drop some more picks on the show and then we'll get to a couple of questions. Will Brinson. Now, this is interesting. I got to tell you unofficially, I'm on the other side of this. I'm on the other side of your against the spread play. So I'm waiting to hear the Rams argument, but you also have a prop in this game. Yeah. So I mean, I think this game is fascinating from a number of reasons. One, it's taking place in the future. That's always exciting. Anytime you can evolve Doc Brown and Marty McFly

in a professional football game where they're playing on Friday, but we're watching on Thursday, that's exciting. Two, you know, there's been so much made about the actual travel for these two teams to Australia. The 49ers went a week ahead of time. The Rams flew yesterday. Now, I think Peter Strayer tweeted something out. The Rams have sent over the past two years 15 different staffers and they tracked their sleep, sleep rhythms. They tracked their like their, you know, energy levels and all that to Australia and brought them back to test what the most optimal way to do it is. So I mean, they also three and a against the spread and straight up in international games because what he likes to do is fly play the East Coast game at the NFL schedules and then stay on the East Coast until the very last minute fly internationally. Don't let your body clock change. Play the game. He wins him every time. And I think the Rams have an advantage in this sense. He said, Jeff, they flew on that thing looks incredible. I mean, everybody has their own individual lay down pod. They're going to be well rested. And frankly, I think they're the better football team. That's maybe more important here. This is a team that believes it should

have won the Super Bowl last year. Just came up just a hair short against the sea ox and the energy championship game. They add miles Garrett and the offseason. I mean, miles Garrett kept the Cleveland Browns like relevant for years just because he's that good on defense. I think he's going to come out gangbusters in this in this matchup. The Rams are very healthy right now. The 49ers are, you know, a little banged up. We get into Kiddles going to play. It's kind of a miracle. I think you'll be on the snap count. But they're depleted at the receiving core. And I think the Rams have a chance at the best defensive football. This line, you know, we get it three and a half a little bit of juice. It's good. I think it might move to four before kickoff. And well, I know people will be ready to take the hook. I do think the Rams are just the better team. And you're going to see them come out and win this game by a touchdown plus. I also have a prop on you to get the prop out now. See you. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, yeah, Pugatukuva over Rushyard. You can find it. You shop around. You can get it at point five yards. You could also, I think it's fine two and a half at plus money. Pugatukuva, weeks one and two in his first three years in the league

has seven rush attempts in those weeks. The only only game he did never rush attempt in the first two weeks of the season was his rookie year game one. Sean McVay likes to use him on the little the little end around the little jet sweeps. He also will do that, you know, kind of the screens behind the line of scrimmets that can end up resulting in a rush attempt and not a pass attempt or reception. And Pugat has gone over a half yard in five of those six games and he's gone over two and a half yards in four of those six games. Sean McVay will have a couple of plays designed to get Pugatuku the ball in a rushing capacity at fair minimum one. And I think we get the three yards needed to cash this a couple of the leans too, but I'll I'll see you before for now. Yeah, we have we have a lot of leans and a lot of discussion, a lot of Q&A that's going to come on this show. Larry, before we get to some of those questions, sniper, I want to go to you because I know you have a couple of official plays and I know one of them involves the 1215 game, which of course is brave. So we'll skip over that for a second because there were people in the chat that were asking

about Astro's Phillies, which is also a day game at 105. There was like a very broad question, hey, basically do you like anything in that game? So talk to me. Yeah, as a Christian Javier, writing for the Astro's not having a very good year, you know, the Phillies have to stud left handed hitters and couch, or in Bryce Harper. So anything on one of those guys would be a pretty good play in my view. All right, let's see. We've got some football questions in the chat, Larry. I wanted to go to you on receiving yards for Christian McCaffrey 37 and a half sounds like a lot of yards, but for Christian McCaffrey in this offense, not so much. What do you think about that at minus 115 from Lee Price? Definitely would lean over. I think we're going to see a lot of dink and don't get rid of it before Miles Garrett, Byron Young, Kobe Turner, and that Rams front can get to you. And we know he has not been efficient as a runner, at least he wasn't last year. Most of his damage came as a receiver. So yeah, I like that look. Well, big cheesy who was super sharp. You can respond to that, but also first quarter, over nine and a half minus 120.

Go ahead on both. Oh, yeah, I was going to say, um, we would see if see first quarter receiving yards. Yeah, I get that out on my, my best bets article on CBS Sports dot com earlier. I think you can get 10. I saw 10, 10 plus receiving yards plus 128 earlier this morning. And if you go back and look at the game box for the first time that they play or just remember the game, the first time you play, remember, that Jones played against the Rams, both times I believe last year. So, you know, it's a little bit different here. But if you're, I mean, you know, Brad talked about it. This 49ers offensive line against Miles Garrett. Kyle Shanahan's out of dummy. He isn't going to be on the brink party getting leveled by Miles Garrett in week one of the of the 2026 season. He is going to have any, I mean, Kyle, every, all these coaches scripted out their game plays, but Kyle scripts the first series and a half, right? And he's going to have as an outlet, if the pressure gets there, CMC in the flat route or CMC a little Texas route over the middle, multiple times to save, uh, to save Brad party from getting close clock clean by Miles

Garrett when he bust through on an early down. So I think over 10 receiving yards in the first quarter is a great look. And I love the other look on CMC total receiving yards. He, they were not efficient at all running the football against the Rams last year. And now the defense is even better with Miles Garrett. I think CMC has to be involved as a passer to alleviate the pressure and to really be more efficient in that overall offensive attack. Brad, the audio listeners that are listening to the podcast, everybody. Thank you for listening to the podcast. Go ahead and rate and review the podcast if you can't early edge Spotify on Apple, but they can't see that you were vigorously nodding your head when Wilbrinson was talking. Yeah, it's just such good football, right? Whenever you have a prolific pass rush going after your high profile quarterback and you have a good pass catching back, you always have that, that option to send that ball into the flats. It's just free yards from a referee. I don't, I'm not in love with this Ryerson record of the Niners either, right? So it's not a lot of guys who are going to be working hard to get open. It's not that they're going to be working hard, but they're not going to effectively be open, um, which means your, your, your, your bailout is easy to McCaffrey. Yeah, I, you know, I think Kyle Shanan getting

guys in space is, is kind of his thing, uh, regardless of who the receiver group is, but I totally agree on Christian McCaffrey. He's definitely going to be featured more in the passing game than being effective in the rush game. A lot more picks. And honestly, you guys talked about a lot of stuff that really bleeds into my official prop, which I've already put on sports line. But before we get there, I wanted to tell you to take advantage of the new premium lines over at bed MGM. There are new odds flash features here for primetime games. All you have to do is go to the lines for tonight's game, play say spread bet with the odds flash odds and win extra cash only at bed MGM. You got to go check that out. And also I, I, I may be like, implied that the splash sports contest, the early edge splash sports contest that has $10,000 on the line, $3,000 for first, $2,000 for second, uh, 1,000 for third and down the line. I think it pays the top 20. I might have implied that it ends, uh, before the first game. Oh, I didn't say that outright, but I, that's what I thought, but actually it goes to this weekend. I think up until Sunday, Larry, you can correct me if I'm wrong. So you can still enter this free early edge splash contest. Uh, go up against all

the early edge guys. You got so much money on the line. And again, it's a free contest. All you got to do is pick your six favorite games against the spread each week. You designate one game as a two pointer. That's going to be your best bet. And you do that for all 17 weeks. You end up winning and you win $3,000. So there's, there's a lot of money to be doled out here. Larry, I'm correct here. We've got until Sunday for this one, right? Yeah. 1 p.m. Kickoff. That's the deadline. You got to pick six games. Designate one is your best bet. I think we're close to 1200 entries. Would love to see us get over 1500, maybe even 2000, uh, and my picks are entered already. So I'm set. Yeah, I haven't entered mine yet. So I got to put a reminder for me. Of course, I've entered, but I entered the contest. But I will say this, the more we get this year, the more likely it is that that prize pool, and I'm not, I'm not saying definitely, the more likely it is that that prize pool goes up from splash boards in subsequent years. So let's get as many people in this free contest as possible. We got to get to more picks. We got baseball picks to get to home run plays, first touchdown plays that people want to hear about. And I see a lot of Terrence Ferguson questions. Don't worry. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to get to Terrence Ferguson a lot to

cover right after this message from our partners. We're back on the early age, brought to you by BEDMG. And reminder, you could have watched Take the Points yesterday at three o'clock. It's already in your podcast and YouTube feed. Of course, Larry on that show, Brinson, you were on that show as well Friday. We got the prop show at three o'clock as well. Make sure you're dialed into all things sports line. And let's dial into some baseball sniper. I know you said yesterday, hey, I know it's football season. I want to do my picks quickly and all that, but like you've been crushing it. So, you know, take all the time that you need. You got a two pack for us today. What are they? Well, yeah, thank you. I appreciate that, but I'm still not going to take that much time. I mean, look, I can read the room here. Everybody's talking about the NFL the entire time. I like the NFL too. So it's not like I'm just sitting here twirling my thumbs, but we'll get a couple more plays here today. Very light slate. I imagine that when Major League Baseball made the schedule, they assumed tonight would be the NFL opener and they were trying to avoid a lot of overlap with the NFL. They didn't know NFL was going to kick one over to Wednesday, but hey, that's the way it goes. Isn't that NFL is king? I'm going to start with this game that starts. I believe 1245 Eastern. I'm going to go with

the raise here plus 100. You can find them or it depends on your book. There was not much juice anywhere minus 105 or so at some other places from where I found it plus 100. But look, the brazer and bad way right now, they've lost six of the last nine. They're fading. Their NL East lead is actually in peril with the Phillies kind of creeping up on them. Martijn Perez on the mound 4.91 ERA in his last four games. Meanwhile, the raise are pretty hot. They've won four or five 11 of 16. Nick Martinez on the mound for them with a 2.95 ERA in his last three. I just like to raise better right now. I think they're the better team at this point and I've got them for the sweet. Also, same thing that I went for the last two games, the last two nights on the Dodgers game where this team was overwhelmingly a favorite. I thought they're going to win. I'm going to try to get creative and get the money down. I got Max Fried to get the win into plus money here at plus 106. He's only made two starts since coming off the injured list, but he worked up to five and two thirds innings last time up to 72 pitches. He can probably get up to 85. That's going to be enough

to get through five innings against the road. Rockies. I mean, come on. The Rockies suck. Yankees starting pitchers have won the first two games in the series. I expect the trend to continue right now. The Yankees have judged back. They have their Mojo back. They're 15 and seven in the last 22. That AL East race is going to actually be fun. And the Rockies, meanwhile, are looking forward to the offseason. So we're just going to go with Max Fried to get a win. I don't have a number here from Ragee, but any thoughts on your dawn, Alvarez, over hits runs RBI's against Wheeler. Wheeler's been a little shaky here in the second half. I mean, your dawn hasn't been superhuman. You're dawn in a couple of weeks, but yeah, I like that look. Brad, let's kick it over to soccer just for a second. Do you like Fender to win as a value play at plus 250? Maybe over one and a half team total at plus 140? Absolutely not. But I mean, it's hard to talking about off of plus 250. I just have a really hard time seeing Roma do anything, but walk away with at least one point. Gaspring is such a mastermind. This is Roma's first trip back to Champions League in a very long time. This means a

lot to this Italian squad. And they're arguably the best Italian squad this season. So I don't like it. Maybe team total. Maybe we get a two two. I know Martins on the over in that match as well. I took Dra no bet. I laid the juice. I don't normally lay juice and soccer, but they just have a really hard time believing this talented squad, especially with Daniel Mullen, is not going to get at least a point. Yeah, again, the play that we led the show off with the sports line pick is the over not the under in that game. When you say Roma, it must be football season. When you say Roma, I'm automatically thinking you're about to say Roma doons. By the way, real quick, one more song. By our Munich first photo, Glimpo teams the score plus over three and a half. Again, no price here from from shy gorilla 8082. We'd love a price there. But what do you think of that play? I think that price is like minus 135 ish because a total set at four and a half minus 120. So maybe, yeah, maybe like 135. Sure. Yeah, right? Like Byron are going to score a ton of goals. Boatw are a really good team and attack. They're probably going to score as well. I actually went first half over two goals minus 120 in that gives me a little protection if Byron just go out there and win this match. Seven nil. This

is not the boatw of last year. We have to remember they lost their best striker. He's over playing at Celtic now. So they're not as prolific in attack, but still a really good scoring team. Let me get to my prop and Larry, you and I have, but we both have props on Brockporty. So we're going to get to those and I do think there are some one correlated. I'm going to go in by the way, we have so many questions first touchdown scores, maybe some SGP legs that we're going to talk about. So we got a lot to cover Brockporty over 21 and a half completions minus 105. I actually think that MGM has the best price here. It's 21 and a half across the board. But I think most books have this in the minus 110 to minus 120 range. So go to bed MGM for this one if you like it. And here's why I like it. I think the short area passing game. We talked about it with CMC a bit, but I think the short area passing game is where San Francisco has to live, especially with that pass rush that the Rams are going to have. But what we know about Kyle Shan and specifically against Sean McVeigh and some of these great defenses is that Kyle Shan and can overcome that he can get his guys in space. And while this wide receiver group is a bit of an unknown, a lot of new guys, a lot of moving pieces, Debo Samuel back after leaving for Washington,

I think he's going to be able, he's at all summer, frankly, I think he's going to be able to scheme these guys into space. So whether it's CMC or Debo Samuel or Mike Evans in the short field or down the field, there's obviously Dejon Stribbling and a lot of other guys that he can pass through, including George Kittle, who's going to be allegedly healthy for this game. I think he's got to get to 22 completions. The one watch out for this is that I think this 49ers defense is vastly improved, which is why I think they're going to compete in this game, maybe cover the spread, maybe outright win. But the one watch out is I'm worried that the Niners aren't going to be able to get off the field because I think the Rams can gass you with the run and I think they can gass the 49ers with the pass. And if that happens, we might get a few less possessions that I'm anticipating. We might get some seven or eight minute drives from the Rams and that could hurt this this play. But if that happens as well, I think we're operating from a negative game script to pass only situation largely in the second half and he can still get over these completions. So give me over 21 and a half completions at minus 105 from Brock Purti. Larry Hartstein, you also have a Brock Purti prop. Yeah, kind of amazing. We have three props on Brock Purti, all different angles.

I'm going under 37 and a half for his longest completion. You know, if you look at what Brock Purti did last season when he came back from injury, he had eight games and only twice did he go over this number and he barely went over 38 yard completions against the Titans and the Bears. I think we can safely say that this Rams defense, especially a secondary with McDuffie and Watson now is better than those secondaries were and and with that pressure up front, the Rams pressure led by Miles Garrett and the rest of those rushers that they returned from last season, we're going to see the quick passes. So I actually don't mind either of your plays, see or Brad on Brock Purti. I just want to bet against him going deep. I am worried about the dribbling speed. You know, he is a guy that can get loose down the field. But if it comes to Debo Samuel or McCaffrey or Kittle catching it somewhere in the intermediate, we just have to make the tackle before this goes for a monster game. So I'm playing him under 37 and a half. Before we get to more questions and first touchdown scores, Larry, I do want to and I did this

yesterday with with RJ White. You know, we were kind of on opposite sides of the C-Hawksy him. I don't mind bringing this up that I actually like the Niners in this game plus 3 and F. I'm nervous about it and it's not an official play for me because I personally have been so successful in betting the player props that I just want to stick with that market for now at least. But any thoughts on this spread plus 3 and a half? Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Rams despite Sean McVey's record as a dog versus, you know, Kyle Shanahan's record as a dog, you know, 9 and 3 against McVey despite the fact that Rahim Morris is the defensive coordinator and you remember how unsettled Matthew Stafford looked going to Atlanta last year. That was one of his worst games. So despite all that, I just think the talent, the health, I definitely trust McVey in terms of the flight schedule and everything I've read about that. I think that was the better plan. But right now, I'm staying away, but we are seeing a lot of four, circa million released four and some people thinking it will get to four and a half even. Yeah, I think, I don't know

that it gets to four and a half, but I think MGM has it at four already. I saw that this morning, at least everybody else holding it at three and a half, but yeah, it could go to four across the board. So I guess if you'd like the Niners, you can wait for the record. Brad, let me get your thoughts here and sniper really quick and then we got more questions for Touchdown scores. I think the Rams are completely wrong on this. I think it's actually kind of ridiculous. I understand they put a lot of thought into this, but Brad, your thoughts here, by the way, when I see the Niners out on the practice field, they look perfectly acclimated. You can't say the same about the Rams right now, Brad, go ahead. Yeah, I think it was a terrible decision. It doesn't matter that they're flying in absolute comfort in one of the best planes they possibly could get. Your body just has to transition, not only the long flight, what 14 hour flight. That's like one of the longest international flights. Also, the clock, your mental clock, your body clock. So I thought it was a really bad decision. Sniper, you go and then we'll go around the board. Sniper any thoughts here? On the NFL game? No, on the time zone thing. Yeah, I mean, I know that Major League Baseball has done

games like in Japan and Australia and stuff, but they usually separate so much from the rest of the schedule that we don't have any meaningful data on how it affects them. So I don't have anything of value here. Sorry. No, that's okay. The Niners have adjusted to Australia time, which means they will feel like it's 10 30 in the morning, which is not an ideal time to bang heads and play football. That's a good point. I will say they won't benefit from the Trevor Lawrence effect. You know, they went to London last year. It was 35 seven. They destroyed the Jags, but a lot of that was just how bad the Jags were. Yeah, I was going to say exactly what Larry said. I mean, the difference, the thought process with McVeigh is that you get to Australia and by the time that you kick off at 10 a.m. in the morning, you still feel like it's like three o'clock in the afternoon, which is when NFL players play games, whereas the Niners are going to wake up and feel like it is 10 a.m. there time because they've adjusted to the Australia time. And that's just like

you just don't play football at 10 in the morning. So I like, I think McVeigh has shown, he's done this several times with those international trips, as I mentioned, it's worked out well for him. The Rams have looked great. They're undefeated on international trips. So I trust him. It's definitely, you know, I mean, it's a pseudo science, but I don't think the 49ers have an advantage by going around and like putting shrimp on the barbie for a week. I mean, first of all, the international thing and that three, you know, and like one of those games was like in 2017. So I mean, also, it's not Austria. I've been to Australia. I've been to Melbourne, by the way. Oh, humble. I'm just going to the game with their entire family tonight. So I mean, I just, I just think this is, by the way, I think there's going to be more San Francisco fans as well. Let's get to first touchdown scores. And of course, we still have some questions to answer here. Larry, I'm going to let you lead off because this was going to be my first touchdown score. You took it. So I shifted. I'm going to bet both of these guys. They'll one for the Niners, one for the Rams. Who's your first touchdown score? Yeah, Terri Sfergason, three touchdowns last year and only 11 grabs. His role started to increase late in the season. And even though they play three

tight ends, he is by far the most athletic of those tight ends. They've been talking him up. They've been talking up his role, his route trade. This guy's going to be heavily involved. He has great size, a great red zone target, 22 to one on Ferguson. He's going to be so hard to cover. Will Branson, go ahead. Yeah, love Ferguson. I bet him as well. I, you know, second round pick pedigrees there. McVeigh loves his tight ends. But I'm going to go with a different tight end on the opposite side. And look, a lot of depends on who gets the ball first because I wouldn't be surprised at all if both of these teams score on their first drives or that could scripting. George Kiddles off the injury report. That's kind of miraculous. The fact that he is not even listed on the injury report after tearing his Achilles and playoffs last year. But I do think the 49ers will be cautious with Kiddle in terms of their usage and the number of snaps he plays, which means that Jake Tongus, who had a fantastic preseason and offseason has been hyped up. How she ended up talking about using more two tight end sets as a result. And I think that by the goal line, you could see some play action. Kiddle blocks. They're looking at Kiddle. They're looking

at Shriveling. They're looking at Evans. They're looking at CMC and all of a sudden Jake Tongus leaks out a little, a little flag route there. 45 to one for Jake Tongus. Anytime or first time touchdown. Don't mind if it's 7 to one anytime touchdowns well. Yeah, Daniel Greer on the chat saying, Tongus, touchdown anytime touchdown. Plus 700 like you just said, well, Brad, what do you like for a first touchdown? Yeah, I like Ferg a lot, but I'm going with the other tight end Colby Parkinson. I just thought it was crazy. Their odds are really similar with Talkwith Ferguson kind of dealing with a nagging injury. He just came off the injury report. So obviously going to be playing. We've seen this time and time again from McVeigh, where he loves to run those little underneath routes to the tight end in the red zone. And if it's not going to be Ferguson, give me Parkinson. Anytime sniper I hear Parkinson, I think of Colonel Markinson from a few good men. And I have to ask you, are you Markinson? Because I'm not Markinson. Are you two down? Who do you like for a first touchdown score? Well, you know, I couldn't help but go back to last fall. And anytime I went on the show and tried to talk about IU, I had a bunch of people telling me that just wait until they play somebody,

wait until they go to Oregon and then they beat Oregon. And then it was let's move the goalposts. They will. Oregon's obviously not very good. So I just got to say, what's up? National champs. K-Lon Black, baby. Let's do it. Can you remind us where K-Lon Black went to school? Ben, I thought I just, before Indiana, where did K-Lon Black go to school? James Madison. That's right. According to our friend Buckets was just a random name that they made up and threw out college. And I'm going to James Madison in Virginia. Debo Samuel was living in Virginia all of last year. He's back with the San Francisco 49ers speaking of that short area, reliable target for Brock Purti. I think Debo symbols one of those guys in the green zone that can catch a quick wide receiver screen or a quick out break attack or two and fall into the end zone. I do like Terrence Ferguson quite a bit as well, but I'm going to bet both of those guys. Debo at 22 to 1 Terrence Ferguson at 22 to 1. All right, before we wrap up this show, Larry, I know you're, I see you. You're typing away in the chat. Talk to me about a couple of things that you've responded to.

By the way, I like Debo over two and half catches two. It's just kind of juicy at minus 140. I wanted to put that in there as well. Larry, anything from the chat you want to bring up before I move it to Will. Well, I just one thing that we didn't mention is when we talk about the 49ers injuries, you lose a starting defensive tackle the week of the game. That can't be good. And that does play into your, to your possible thesis that the Rams can control the clock. And I just think this is going to be a year where Blake Koram steps up and shows that, you know, maybe he's not Kyron Williams, but he has different strengths and his role continues to grow. So very excited to see what they can do on the ground. Interesting will before you go. I looked at the most Russian yards in the game market. Obviously, CMC is favorite. I don't like him there at all, but Kyron Williams plus 170. And I think Blake Koram is in that plus 500 territory. If you think the Rams are going to dominate possession and dominate this game, I think you could sprinkle on Blake Koram, take the plus 170 on Kyron Williams and cash either way, Brinson. Go ahead. Yeah. I mean, yesterday on the on the show, we mentioned that, you know,

C-Ox Patriots might be a low scoring game. Don't get too crazy with props. And this game has a much higher total. The one thing I would point out that we just haven't talked about, they're playing on a cricket field, which like, I mean, how's that going to go? Like, I mean, I've never been on a cricket field. I think that's one of the unknowns. So I would say like for, don't overexposure yourself a props. A lot of week one game still left. Because who knows? Maybe this is a much lower scoring game than we think because of the field quality. And then I would also watch for live betting, too. Like if they're out there and they're struggling to get footing and you're seeing the offense look a little sluggish because of the field, because of the travel conditions, because of all of that, you know, maybe look for a live under at some point during the game. Brad Thomas. Yeah, I actually wrote up Karen Williams over 12 and a half carries. I think they're going to run the ball early and often in this game. I do have the split not as high as last year. Last year was a 73 split in favor of Williams. I think it's going to be closer to 60 this year, but we have to remember that McVeigh typically opts for Kyron latent games with the lead as opposed

to Blake Korum. So if you believe the Rams are going to win this game and be running late, you have more opportunities to cash Kyron than the nine and a half for Korum. Yeah, and I wonder if you can look at a rush attempt live overs and and rushing yard live overs given how the game script is going in the first second quarter. If you like them leading on the run because they're working with the lead, that might be something to look at. Sniper, I think we're probably going to close out here, but hand up Larry Will or Brad if there's something else to cover, but how about go the yard play? Yeah, just quick home from the look here. Jared Jones of the pirates facing the white sucks, a little bit susceptible to left-handed power. White sucks have Miracami, Colson, Montgomery. Those guys would be chalky if you wanted to go a little bit down the line. You can look at Andrew Benentendi. All right, Andrew Benentendi, Will Brinson, anything you caught or anything, you just failed to say that you want to throw in. Maybe it's an SGP leg or anything. I would say that the one other thing that I had in my article too is not to

ball us with Brock Purdy props here, but last year the 49ers attempted 88 combined passes against the Rams in those games. They were really inefficient running the ball. Purdy 33 and a half pass attempts. I think it's a pretty good look as well if you wanted to include that in SGP. Yeah, that's strong. Larry, any final thoughts here? No, I can't wait. I think after a 13-10, a snoozer most of the way, we got some great drama late. I think we get something exciting, 27-24, 27-21, something along those lines. The chess match on offense with Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVeigh never fails. And it's always a little less predictable than we anticipated. So buckle up, this is to me, this is the opening game. I can't, I mean, I'm not, that's not shade on the two teams that played yesterday, but this game far more exciting to me with the coaching matchup. It was a superbow rematch and it's, I don't care. I don't care. By the way, I didn't think I wasn't very excited about the Superbow Elite. I was not an exciting matchup. It's just out of my sight. It's just out of my sight. Fraudulent, fraudulent Drake May and that BS MVP campaign people tried to prop up from last year.

And now tonight we get the real MVP, Matthew Stafford. Yeah, that is the actual real MVP. All right, let's see if we have an MVP recap screen. We went 9-2-1 yesterday. Let's take a look at our picks for today. I'm going on Brock Purti over 21-1-1-1-5. Completions at minus 105. We got some baseball, raised money line this afternoon at even money, Max Fried to record the win at plus 106. Those two from the sniper Brock Purti, longest completion under 37 and a half yards minus 119 from Larry Hartstein. And then we go Wilbrinson Rams minus 3 and a half minus 115. And Pukinakua over a half rushing yard at minus 115. We go to Brad Thomas Brock Purti over 17 and a half rush yards minus 114 and Como versus Arby Leipzig. Nico Paz over 3 and a half shots sub on at plus 115. We do have a couple of sports line picks, Niners Rams. This is from Monday's show courtesy of David Beermann under 48 and a half at minus 110. And then we've got Soca with Martin Green Fenderbombsh versus Roma over two and a half goals at minus 128. What a great show. We got so much coming on this sports line YouTube channel on
