Hello and welcome to this stupid history minute, I'm your host, Keb Pant, today we're talking
about fireball. Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey began in the mid-1980s originally developed
in Canada. Legend says it was created to warm people up during brutally cold winters,
make sense. The Cinnamon-flavored spirit started as Dr. McGillicutty's Fireball Whiskey,
and it was produced by Seagram. After corporate shakeups in the early 2000s, the brand was
acquired by the Cezarac Company, which rebranded and aggressively marketed it in the United States.
By the 2010s, its bold Cinnamon Kick and party-friendly reputation made it a bar in college
staple. Today, Fireball is one of the best-selling flavored whiskeys in America. This has been
the Stupid History Minute, and I'm Keb Pant.
