Today we're talking about Bombay Sapphire.

Bombay Sapphire traces its roots

to a 1761 gin recipe created

by English distiller Thomas Dacken.

While the recipe dates back centuries,

the Bombay Sapphire brand itself

launched in 1987,

created by international distiller's

ventors to stand out in a crowded gin market.

Its name references the star of Bombay,

a famous sapphire,

and its distinctive blue bottle

helped it explode in popularity

during the late 20th century cocktail revival.

In 1997, Bacardi acquired the brand.

Today, it's distilled at Laverstoke Mill and Hampshire

using 10 botanicals vapor-infused

for a smoother balanced gin.
