4:11Kind of a sex. I would say sort of like a fourth guard, fifth guard in the rotation type. Got to Memphis in 2019-20. He's never average. He's never scored more than 368 points in a season. He's never average. More than I guess over a full season. Five points. He shot. He has shot 35% from three over the course of his career, but not as well lately as he did early in his career. But the heat have a roster spot open. They have the 15 spot open. They do not have a two-way spot open, but that could change. And Barry Jackson was the one who reported this today. In Miami Herald. And again, apologies. Apologies. Andolans is I guess to my former colleagues in the Miami Herald, who were purged as private equity has taken over the quote unquote journalism business. So I hope all those find people land on their feet. But as far as Barry's report in the Herald,

5:14he basically said that John Kanshar could come in and compete with my ring gardener for a roster spot. You don't think that's actually what would happen, right? Yeah, I think it would be more, because when you're using this last spot, I just feel like it would end up being, even if he got the spot over Myron, Myron would end up on a two-way. And ultimately, that means it would come down to Vlad. So I think it's more so Kanshar Vlad, honestly, than it could be Kanshar, Myron. I think Myron, they like the slides, and they need the stuff. Honestly, for us, I think it just makes him more fun watching the stuff that Myron does on the bench, but even as a player, I mean, he came out and shot the ball pretty well in his small minutes. And he defends. I mean, he's initially playing for this team. We're not going to shorten that up. I think the thing that makes sense for Kanshar is just that they keep doing this exhibit 10 thing, where they bring in a bunch of their guys that is basically the he-some really teams who falls, whatever they bring in a bunch of these guys for camp,

6:15makes sense to bring in guys like Kanshar. If he accepts a training camp invite, if he's not on a roster by then, why not bring in guys that are a little bit more experienced? These play like, in the league, since 2019, I think it was his first year, I was looking back at it. So it's like he's been around for a little bit that can push some of these guys on a roster like this and just makes more sense to bring in some of these more experienced guys. Then some of these rookies that are on draft, they're going to come in and probably not get many minutes, even on this roster. So, I'm not against it. I think if they were to fill that 15th roster spot, I'm more so, I just didn't think it would be his player build, to be honest. That's not that's kind of why I just don't know if this is something that would truly happen. I think if you're, first of all, you like you said, they're probably going to keep it open. I mean, they've done that, but I don't even know if they'll fill that roster spot, but if they were, it feels like it would be somebody that is more so in the creation bag, playmaking bag than maybe the Kanshar, you know, all around guard, shooting guard. That hasn't really been high volume.

7:16It's weird because considering what his build is, just look at some of the numbers. I mean, he shot his last real season, because he's kind of bounced around Memphis and Utah last year, but the 24-25 season with Memphis, he shot 37% from three, and then you look at it, you're like, oh, he shot 1.33s a game. Like, the volume has really been there for him. So, yeah, I think he's a fine player to bring in on exhibit 10 if he pops and can't, sure, but I don't know if this is the case where he's going to be given a roster spot. And I guess this is also one of those things where maybe they're looking at him saying, maybe the guys at the bottom of the roster need a push. Like, let's bring in some guys and say that you're not guaranteed. Let's make Myron sweat a little bit and go to work and camp, which I don't think would be a problem. I think that guy's kind of got enough energy and drive anyway to do that, but that's kind of the way I'm looking at it. I just don't know. I don't know. I'm not like thinking this is like a big splash for your 15th roster spot. Well, the other thing is that they have a couple things

8:17have happened here. Number one is they've signed Nick Richards to a non-guernete, which means they don't necessarily need a big as one of their three two ways now. They also didn't get LeBron, who of course is represented by the same agency as Vlad Golden. So, I'm with you that I feel like this is more of a push for that spot than another in the sense of, okay, if Conshara's worth giving a guarantee to, then you keep Myron Gardener around on a two way. If that's something he's amenable to. That feels like the direction that this would go. I know that he fans be like, well, why not look at a D'Angelo Russell? Why not look at somebody with more of a pedigree than Conshara? And I've said, I don't think that the play creator that we've talked about so much. And I know Zach Low talked about it again in the past 24 hours. Is a guy who's out there right now. Like it's not going to be one of these bottom of the roster guys. It's going to be somebody that they're hoping to poach in a beneficial trade prior to February or next off season.

9:25Like, the guy who's going to make a difference on this roster is not out there. It just does not exist. And they decided not to go after De Marte Rosen in any serious way. In part because they feel like they can do better at some point. Now again, Conshara is not that player at all. And then there are some other guys out there who might have a little bit more of that in their repertoire. To me, it's fine. It's competition. I don't think Memphis fans liked him. They felt he played hard, played within the system. And look, there can be competition to other guys here over time. I mean, Drew Smith has, you know, Garanty has a specific role on this team. Doesn't do a lot in the creation sense. Could lose some playing time to somebody like this. But, you know, I think he fans will also say, well, and we did episode on this. Why not Gabe Vincent then? Like if you're going to sign John Conshara, like Gabe Vincent knows your system. He's Bams Guy.

10:26And he's done it at a high level. I mean, I, you know, I mean, he started the finals. Even though it has not been real smooth sailing since he left. So I understand why he fans be like, ah, okay, this is not, you know, this doesn't excite us that much. They obviously see something in him. They see some characteristics of a heat player. You know, we talked a little about Devon Carter and the Devon Carter ended up getting a two way. This is where we're at. Like a lot of these guys who have ended up, you know, sort of unsigned in middle of September, they're either looking for that 15th Ross Respond or trying to latch on with the two way. That's, that's pretty much what this is. They've already done the, we gave you a guarantee and now you're going to get a two way thing with Kishan Johnson. They could do the same with Myron Gardener, but I, my hunch would be Myron Gardener would beat John Conshara out. Anyway, I would agree. I'll say this though, the one of the problems, I guess inconsistencies with Conshara has just been that he'd ever had a consistent role with Memphis and it's kind of an all-replace.

11:28And that's my problem with this is not him as a player, but I just don't see a consistent role with him. In Miami, if you just get that spot and it's kind of what you're hinting at, it's like, a lot of these guys were talking about her as much as it has no depth and anybody's hunch going to walk into the door and play. Well, that's not really the case. Like a guy like Conshara is probably not going to get a consistent role or find, like minutes in general that I just think that you're kind of back to the same player that was deal, what they were dealing with in Memphis, which is just, and it's like shooters like that too need a consistent role. That's why it's impressive when Duncan would bounce back after they would bench him or some own team. James Jones prior to him, that was a guy that they did that way that would sit for three weeks and then come off and shoot. That's what Simone Fonteque was going to do this season, but now that you're bumping behind him, it just becomes a little more problematic. I six foot eight too. Right. Yeah, right. So there's the added advantage that you can put them on the floor in the front court and still get shooting out of it, whereas Conshara does really provide that. I mean, again, we end up talking a lot about these guys in other seasons when there isn't more to get excited about than there is now.

12:32There's a lot to get excited about now. Whatever they do with that spot is not going to define this season anyway. It's just these guys are going to be available to them and there's going to be interest in coming to Miami because it is a competitive situation. And maybe if somebody gets hurt, something like that, then you can make a mark and then end up getting your guaranteed potentially somewhere else if that's the case. But again, I think my regarner is going to be on this roster one way or the other when training camp finishes. I would be very surprised if he isn't. On the other side, I do want to get to one other thing here. So we're going to talk about it on the other side. Do want to mention real merchant services. All right, real merchant services. All right, so in light of that, in light of this contrarpossibility, as I said, there's going to be a lot of these types of guys that are out there that the heat are going to look at. I think what we can discuss here is what is going to be Eric Spolster's approach with some of these

16:37back of the roster guys, first couple weeks of training camp. Because there are two ways you can go when you've got a relatively new team even though some of these guys have played together before. Is he going to lean heavy on the regulars to try to get them rhythm? Or he can see what he's got on the back end of it. How do you think he handles the preseason games? Well, I feel like on a lot of the Reese's Heat rosters, the bottom of the roster guys have been like, okay, we need you to be an elite role player. We need you to play an elite role in playing a specific spot. This summer, I feel like it's who can do more? Who can do stuff on the basketball? Who can do stuff here? Because that's what this roster is. Can Myron pop in a certain realm where he's the divots of guy, but what if he gets up 3, 4, 3 is a game at a decent level? I think it's about the extra stuff for these guys. It's not just being an elite role player. It's about what the next level is. I don't have a problem with bringing in a guy like Khan Shar if he was to work out. I think it makes sense when you're talking about these end of roster guys. But I don't want that report to kick back on a guy like Myron in a negative sense where it's looking like, oh, they're not happy with Myron.

17:42Because I think they are. It seems like everything that we've seen with just the way he's played, honestly, even forgetting the off the courts stuff on the sideline and all the energy stuff and all that. He's been a good player. When they put him in, and honestly, for Myron's sake, he's a player I could see starting games for this team this season. I don't think that's crazy to say. When we talked about another episode about guys that can insert into the starting lineup for a period of time, if Miami has some injuries, I could see Myron and Gardner starting two, three games in a row. I think it's just about staying ready in a different way than it's used to, even Keisha. A couple of guys going down and all of a sudden they need him to step up into a role where all of a sudden instead of being this guy that's just a defensive and dunker spot guy, hey, we need you to run some handoffs because we got to get Clay Thompson to Marta with Junior going. I just think it's going to be a different utilization for these guys. We'll see who pops. They have an opportunity here. I think more than ever, there's a lot of players on the bottom of the roster that feel like they have a chance of breaking into this. Conwell is in that conversation, even though we believe he'll end up being in the rotation. He's in this realm as well with these

18:44guys that are working. Shout out what they're doing right now. These little mini-camps, they're running and everything. I think it's helpful. I think they're building camaraderie. I think I just think they needed this element of it for these young guys to figure it out with their stars. Because we haven't seen this. I know you guys didn't episode in this, but this whole pain camp thing, like Davey on Mitchell saying, I'm going to last year, I'm going to make sure, get these guys, bring this team together when it wasn't this roster. It was the other roster that he was talking about. They bring all these new faces and he still goes out there and brings this team together. Just seeing that they're planning this on a basketball, that they're being together off the court. That stuff matters too. I think the fun element of this roster of being one and being together that we haven't seen a long time as important. That reflects on these young guys. They're going to have opportunities. I'm afraid Davey on is going to put us through a reporter mini camp or something. Because he's on a rampage with all this stuff. We have heard there's going to be another camp.

19:44By the way, that camp was in LA. Greg and I weren't quite sure at the time, but it was in Los Angeles. Everybody's like, Clay is enjoying his Miami life and there's mountains in the background. There's none of that down here. There's everybody knows. They're out in Los Angeles. Which makes it even more impressive that they all went out there. Some of them still live here. A lot of these guys live all over the place. But that they went all the way out to the West Coast for this camp. There are only two players that we know of that didn't show. One was in Italy, which was Somonia. One was in New York, which was Hardaway, Jr. We are hearing there maybe another of these mini camps coming up. Quicker one maybe a little bit south of us. There's been some conversations and rumors about that that we've heard of. So we see where that goes. We did entirely too much on John Contra. If you had any idea how many breaks, plus you're starting to break up again. So I think you need to delete some stuff from the laptop. I think that has worked for me the past.
