Hello and welcome to the Stupid History Minute.
I'm your host, Keb Pan.
Today we're talking about Bailey's Irish Cream.
Bailey's Irish Cream was introduced in 1974 as the world's first Irish Cream Lacourt.
It was developed by David Dan and a small team at Gilbees of Ireland who set out to create
a product that combined Irish whiskey and fresh cream.
The recipe was perfected in just a few years using a unique process to keep the cream stable
without refrigeration.
Marketing internationally as a smooth, indulgent drink, Bailey's quickly became the global
success and remains one of Ireland's most famous and best-selling alcoholic exports.
This has been the Stupid History Minute and I'm Keb Pan.
