Because again, you're not going to find better until content in the market. market and let's all wish a happy inside Texas birthday to our guy, Mr. Tyler Horka. And you guys do the same. Tyler's a big addition to the team, having a great start. So show him a little bit love, a little bit of love. But let's get into it guys. Evan, I'm going to start with you, man. We're going to go with the Ohio State side first.
Give me a buck eye or two if you desire that every long corn is going to quickly realize who they are because Ohio State always has a couple of these guys, right? There's a couple guys, a couple of positions, rather, where we look at them and it's like, maybe Texas can get on there or maybe just in general, they won't be as strong there as they were in the years past or year before. Well, who are those guys this year, Evan? Yeah, I think when you're analyzing the Ohio State team, you start with what vacated and what is left, which is four top 11 picks on that roster, three, but them on the deep and side. Another two second round picks up like three more draft picks after that. So there's definitely a defensive standpoint we need to go over. But I do think you have to talk about their new wider seabird to Devamikun who comes over from the UTSA was really productive with the G6 ranks and you can kind of trust whenever Ohio State has a take at wider seabird that the process is going to be good in some faster and other, whether that guy turns into a superstar or not. Like this is someone that's going to make an impact and, you know, everyone knows about Chris Henry Jr., I mean, that's a name that was a pretty huge in the off season for long-horn fans.
And I think a lot of us kind of said it first like, man, Chris Henry Jr. didn't go and win that wider seabird two outside spot. That's pretty good sign for long-horns, right? We didn't want this athletic freak going out there and being the Jeremiah Smith 2.0, but we quickly learned as we watched the ball state game that Devamikun is the reason why. And, you know, Ohio State got up to a pretty slow start against ball state, which is, I mean, it's like a note that the first two drives, I believe, weren't exactly the most efficient. But after that first bomb to Jeremiah Smith that got them on the board, Mikun was really, really efficient. And I believe he scored two Dutch towns in that game. And so this is someone where Texas has done a really good job limiting Jeremiah Smith. I assume a lot of that philosophy from Pete Pekkauskin on the back end is adopted by Will Must Champ, where you're playing two high safety, you're expecting them to try to dice you up underneath that. Don't let Jeremiah Smith lead past your defense, but we saw it in both the last two games. The most important player on the Ohio State offense ended up being that second wider seabird. I'm at Kavuka in 24, 2025, Carnaultate on that one deep pass. So look out for what McEwen can do. He's a really good player in space. Justin Walls is super high on him.
I was saying in our live this morning, he might be better than Carnaultate. I don't know about that, but this is someone that they're definitely going to have to account for. And Ohio State really needs another guy to step up opposite Jeremiah Smith because Brandon in his hasn't quite been that guy out of the slot these past two, three years. And other tight end positions on a super big go out and get the ball down field position, running back not so much either. So the Q is pretty important for this game for Ohio State. I think that would have been my pick. The very one that I would have come up with again, there's a reason that he won that job over Chris Henry as far as being a wider seabird too. And you're still going to see I think a little bit of Chris Henry in this game and potentially a lot of Chris Henry as the season goes on because you said he is a freak. There's not many guys with that skill set Tyler. We're the first couple of buck guys for you or is there one in particular that really stands out as a guy is about to make a name for himself. Yeah, I'm kind of looking at the running backs because we know the wide receivers do what they do. Those are the guys that are going to win the games for Ohio State, but like you've seen over the years, they've had some really, really good running backs. These names don't really jump off the list like a Traveey on Henderson or a Quinchon Judkins
somebody like that. But like last week was a little Feaster Famine, which is ironic because that's what it was for Texas too, right, with Hollywood's mothers and really ground, but they got two guys by the name of Jackson, Bo Jackson and Jacoby Jackson and they both had super long runs last week. So on the one hand, it's like, yeah, maybe you can bottle them up a little bit more than a Henderson or a Judkins, but on the other like if you let your guard down and they catch you sleep and then all of a sudden you're staring at the backside of their jerseys and that's not what Texas wants to be doing on Saturday night. So yeah, it's the passing game. It's Julian saying it's the wide receivers that Evan talked about, but don't sleep on the running game because I know Arthur Smith's a new offensive coordinator there, but this is still like a Ryan Day lead operation and he loves to run the ball. And when he gets into these big tie matchups, ranked matchups, he wants to show that he can run the ball better than your team. So we're going to try to do that. Those are the two first guys that are going to go out there and try to do that for him. And Texas got to make sure it's stopping the run. I think that, you know, Steve's location says that in every big game, but in this one
in particular, because Ryan Day likes to run so much, you got to be able to stop the run. Yeah, I love it. Absolutely. You got to be able to stop the run if you don't then all of a sudden all this talent at a wide receiver for Ohio State. They're going to get a lot more favorable match, favorable matchups as you have to send guys down into helping run fits and stack more guys in the box as well said. Nash, how about you, brother? Any book guys that maybe aren't quite there on a national standpoint as far as name wise or being a household name that could be in this game. It's really hard when you get to a school like Ohio State to, you know, not have a national name. I think I, like as far as like a name that I think that could really like vault up and start, you know, being like, oh crap, yeah, this is a dude. Like we already thought he was a is Devon Sanchez cornerback. This is this is a game that he's going to be going up there with against Ryan Wingo, Kim Coleman and mostly. I mean, this is this is the game that if you go out there and you actually, you know, you shut these guys down.
All of a sudden your name starts to talk about a little bit differently yet. Now before you were, you were the talented guy, right? Now you're the talented guy that's proven yourself a little bit. A big opportunity for the former North Shore product, Devon Sanchez there. That name probably hurts a few IT readers hearts and I understand it. It's very talented. Texas definitely wanted that guy. We'll see what happens with those matchups. I'm really curious to see how often we're seeing Kim Coleman in the slot, how they're using, how creative they're using Ryan Wingo, just in getting the ball because again, Ohio State, it's not like they don't have a lot of talent. Yes, you lost eight starters from a year ago. Evan, do you, what's the biggest saying that this buck guy's defense showed you in week one that could present challenges for Texas? Yeah, I think part of the problem with the way we analyze this on our state team is, it's not like they go and replace these what eight, seven starters, they lost in three super elite starters, they lost with just nobody's right. Like they go to the portal and they get their best options at safety with their old little and more from Terry Moore from Duke, who more was applying quite as much.
I think little's going to end up being that kind of box safety. But one thing that you have to know is like they're replacing these guys with some really good players. And I look at they really reinforce the D line depth, which we thought would be more of a problem heading into last year's game. And then the depth is just as much against Texas. And then for Ohio State, big 10 play doesn't really call for as much depth and needed on the D line. But I'm looking at their linebacker core and going, yeah, recent styles are not there anymore. And let's face it, that's maybe of the 21st century, the most absurd linebacker duo we've seen. I mean, at least we're talking about lettuces and traits styles and research are just up there with the very best. That's why they went in the top seven. But what they did is reload there, right? They add from the portal. Crystal Legro is going to be a guy that was concept transfer who Texas was actually looking at in the portal like 6425. You want to really prototypical big Mike linebackers who can really fly around the field. I think he's going to be NFL coaches dream once he gets to that level. But they're also putting him in rotation to two sophomores and Tavius Alfred and Riley Bennett on, pitch on another name from Texas that Texas was on.
So we're talking about two sophomores who are flying around the field. Someone maybe how Reese was the season before they played Texas back in 2024. And then his name is escaping me, but they've paid peers, I believe is what it is. One more returning producer from that linebacker core here is about their linebacker three. So there's maybe not the quite the top line talent there, but they have a lot of rotation. They're a lot of athletes at that spot where, you know, Texas is struggling to run the ball. I think I guys like to start shooting downhill. They come out in that 46 front where they have one linebacker playing almost like a Sam, even though they're in nickel where they have five down line minute and they're just asking a guy to go and shoot shoot out and shoot towards the quarterback. That's where it gets really dangerous to play them. If you can force them to put the safety back and not let these young athletic linebackers run around the field, you're in a good spot. But I'm concerned if Texas can't get their run game established that someone like Petage on or Alfred who they both love the team in tackles last week that they're going to be able to just kind of run around and do what they want. Yeah, and that's kind of what Ohio State had the freedom to do in that 2024 cotton bowl lost for Texas.
You know what I mean? Like they really kind of crowded the line of spare measures that you're not going to beat us to the outside. You can't beat us on the interior and create it. Obviously a lot of issues with Texas. Tyler, let's talk about the run game. You know, what do you think about Texas's chances of even running the ball close to how they did last year in which they picked up around a hundred or about 60 yards on the ground? Could have been a little bit more obviously we've talked about that. Do you think Texas is an offensive line is capable of having a similar type blocking performance even a year ago that these two programs have when they lined up for one another? Yeah, absolutely. Because it's like this is what you changed your personnel for, right? Hollywood Smothers, Relique Brown, and then you've got some offensive line and who are new as well and just like a new mentality for the offensive line as well. So on the one hand, yeah, it's like you feel like it's a given that Texas is going to be able to run the ball that well, maybe even better. It was good last year, but if it was great or excellent, then Texas would have been at least 14-14 and had a chance to win there at the end.
The only way that they got into the end zone was through the air, right? Heck of a pass from March Manning to Parker Livingston. And it's like there should have been a rushing score in there somewhere if the running game was that good. I think we just call it that good because Texas couldn't throw the blinding. March Manning was around like five yards per attempt or something that was just, there was nothing downfield. Really outside of that touchdown and maybe a couple of other throws that he made. So when you look at this game, you don't want Ohio State to be able to over-correct in a way, which I'm not sure they will. They want to be able to stop Texas's run game, but match up wise, I kind of like Texas is run game against Ohio State's run defense. If you look at this two starting tackles, John Walker, Edgar Houston, big strong guys, one of them even came up and Steve Stark, he's in press conference. But I actually think they're better as interior past disruptors where they can maybe force the pocket back a little bit on archmaning and make them do some things there. I'm not really quite sure they're big time runstopper.
So they're going to have to prove that to me, but on the flip side of that, Hollywood Smothers, Raleigh Brown, and definitely the Texas offensive line are going to have to prove to me that they're up to the task on their end as well. Let's say it does happen that way, Nash, that by default, because of the additions on the offensive line and a running back, Texas runs for something close to what they did last year. Maybe it's not even 160. Maybe it's 125. Maybe it's 140. What is your confidence level? Let's say Texas will go with 150. What's your confidence level, Nash, that with what we know and feel about the improvements of archmaning, who again, if he probably brings his B game at all last year, Texas walks out of Columbus is winning that one. What is your confidence level good to? If I tell you right now, Texas will run for 150 yards knowing what you know about arch and now that obviously they improved receiver room again, a little bit more night gaming, not just the running back room there. What are your thoughts? I mean, to be honest, just 150 yards, I'm probably like a six and a half.
And where five is like, okay, it's a coin flip, you know? I'm not feeling confident at all. Nothing less than five in our Mars. I'm starting to think of how state might have an edge, right? I just, I don't know, like there's a part of me that says, okay, you know what, 150 yards, you know, you could have Steve Sarkies and where they're running the clock. They're controlling the game clock. They have the majority of the time possession. They're just, they're able to run the ball and just run it at will, almost like how Michigan did a couple of years back. But it's just, I don't know, man, like I do think we're going to need archmaning, but man, I just, I look back, like especially like last year, because I think this is part of the reason why we went and got these running backs is there were plays over blocks for explosive runs and we just didn't hit them. And explosive runs, explosive place, that's those are the plays that score majority of the time.
And me honestly, if you tell me, hey, Texas goes out there and they have five explosive runs for 20 yards and more, I feel a lot more like, I mean, honestly, that gives me more confidence in hearing 150 yards. So I don't know how like 150 yards, there's a lot that can happen, right? But I definitely could see a world where Steve Sarkies and Texas, they're out there, they're just running the football because archmaning has had such a good day passing and all how to state just can't really do anything about it. And then person L wise, how would you attack this Ohio State defense if you were Steve Sarkies and an archmaning? Yeah, I mean, it's tough to find, you know, the real weaknesses here. One thing I do know about this team is that of their, I think it's six different guys who were 10 plus pressures on the earth, I believe that cuts off at 15. So the real past fresh group last year, they're only bringing back two of those guys and that's Kenyatta Jackson and that's Bo Ackinson, who Ackinson was pretty inefficient overall when you're talking about actually getting in the past.
I mean, he's a true eddruster and he was behind a lot of their, you know, notes tackle like the K-McDaw and their linebackers. So I do think Texas has a spot here where if the tackles are playing at a good level, they can really drop the play action game and you have to be able to run the ball to do that. But I'm looking at a group of Ohio State guys where either the Blitz has to get home or Jackson has to win one on one. I'm not super confident in that group being able to go and beat Texas is so on when they have four and crazy that I'm able to say that right now and it's pretty good for Texas fans to be able to hear that. But Texas protected Archmaning amazing last weekend. I mean, that was probably the biggest single strength of the Texas offense was really only one pressure allowed and it was on a touchdown to Cam Coleman. Otherwise, the sack that Archmane had it was because he probably had too many options. Realized he can, he wasn't really allowed to run, ran his way into his own sack. What I'm looking at here is like, can we find plays where there's a long developing route? Either a Wingo or a Coleman where you isolate their true freshman, Nicol J. Timins, who Timins is one hell of an athlete. That guy's going to be a really good player. But we talked about in the morning live today.
It feels like some of their guys are maybe a year away from being these super awesome NFL draft prospects. I mean, two underclassmen at cornerback, all those linebackers I was telling you about some of that depth of the D line, especially at edge rushers. So when I'm looking at the past coverage, I'm going at these guys aren't canoedowns anymore. But even Davidson, Iguinousin for how much kind of how much crappy got from Ohio State fans, that was a second round pick in the NFL with a lot of experience that they're having to replace. So if we can isolate one of these younger players and get them one on one with the guy that Coleman, I'm looking for Texas to find not just an explosive, but like one of those game changing 60 plus yard explosives that really flips the table of the game. And that's got to come early. I wrote about that a little bit earlier this afternoon, like Texas has to get off to a start. Excuse me. Stronger starting to have, but I do think it's I think that's where you find a wrinkle that Texas can exploit is young players in the back end for Ohio State. And being able to trust that a melvincy on your Trevor goose, we can handle their guy one on one on a play action. Yeah, that's the thing. If we're not past protecting the way that we were a week ago, I mean, how much of a drop
off is there? They're so good last week. Obviously, it's a big mountain to climb is literally and figuratively with some of these guys on the Ohio State of the sublime. So let a little bit more talented group. Notice respect to Kenny and the Bobcats. But yeah, excited to see how it looks early on. Tyler, what's the key to an early and fast start for Sark in the offense? Just convert on your opportunities to stay on the field. I don't think you're going to get first downs on first and second down every single time you would like to. Staying ahead of the change is a part of this then. Don't get behind the chains, but let's face it. Let's say Texas is out there for its first possession, whether it's the first possession of the game or Ohio State's already had the ball. You're probably going to face a third down or two. And Texas hadn't been able to get those early first downs and those are momentum builders and they keep you on the field. They keep you feeling like, okay, we're not just going to go out here for a couple plays and we're going to be back on the sideline and have to go through that whole song and dance of how do we do it better next time?
Why don't you just go do it great the first time and Evan said it. Maybe that's an explosive play. Maybe that's a big shot and it's like, suddenly Texas has scored in three plays and you don't have to worry about those third downs, but when it comes to, I mean, it's ironic because they actually converted on fourth down in the first possession of the Ohio State game last year. And honestly, me being at that game, I was thinking, oh, yeah, they're definitely going to score on this now because that's the play that kind of gives you the confidence that you can didn't turn out to be that way. But you got to stack those, right? You can't just get the one and be like, yep, now we're good. Again, I would love it for to be like Evan is saying. They scored 50, 60, 70 yard touchdown and Texas is often running. Odds are it's going to be more like five, six, seven plays, eight, nine, ten, like whatever it is. And if it's that many, some of those are going to be third down. Maybe even one of those is fourth down. Texas was one in five on fourth down in this game last year and it really, really cost Steve Sarkeesian and the Long Horn's a chance to score more points than the kid, which
was only seven. Convert on those, you know, third in whatever's and you've got a chance. A lot of those conversion attempts, especially a couple of the fourth down, it's just simply Texas beating themselves, you know, I mean, wasn't a fourth down, but Archman and kind of makes a wrong read on the goal line carry, you know, that we've talked about several times. The first drive of the game, they run a split zone RPO concept and Jack Andrews is wide open in the flats and we just make the wrong read. We end up giving it to the back and, you know, don't pick up. I think it was a fourth and one might have been a fourth and two. Just don't beat yourselves. Be efficient. As simple as taking what the defense gives you, Nash, you want to see Texas be aggressive early. I want to see aggressiveness. I mean, it reminds me of saying scared mind don't make money. I like not in on a game like this. You're Texas, right? This is, I know this isn't Georgia, right? Georgia, you know, Georgia factors into this. You haven't been able to get over this hump of the Texas, the Georgia, Ohio States, the
Washington and the semifinals, right? Like this is the tear of the team that you have not been able to beat. What is there to lose, right? Like you're not, you already, you already lost, right? You've already lost all, like constantly you can see teams show some aggression, right? Like go out there and like, I want to see you go out there and I want to, like I want to see a team that wants to go out there and take this game. Not a team that wants to, you know, defend people from, you know, get into their food. No, take the food, right? Don't try and push people back from it. I don't know. It's just, I do want to see some aggression because I think that's going to lead to those explosive plays that Evan was talking about. And I think that that also, that aggressiveness, sometimes you're going to find yourself behind the chains, but I think eventually, you know, you're going to more, more often than not, you're going to see like, like Tyler said, you're going to see yourself ahead of the chains, you know, or at the very least, and a, you know, advantageous opportunity to go out there and convert them third or fourth down.
Point about that, like, good. Texas is a serious championship contender. It should be able to convert on a third and 11 or a third and 12 at some point too. If we're in this game and we see third and 11 or third and 12, and in our minds, we're like, yeah, no, no shot. Is this team really who we think it is? Like, I've seen Indiana, if I go all the way back to the, like, the LSU team that actually played Texas and won the national championship, they weren't afraid of third and 12. Now you never want to be in it. And Steve Sarcugian should call a good enough game to avoid most of those. But if one of those happens, you know, Texas hits that. That'll tell me. Okay, maybe this offense is for real and they're not afraid, like, like Nash is saying, not afraid of any situation. You can't be afraid in this game. You're on your home field. I get it. It's number one in the country, but you played these guys tough the last two times. It's time to get over the home and you should be able to do that at home. You know, Tyler, I'm glad you brought that up because I've been thinking about this.
I'm a little more concerned about them getting third and two than third and nine. Like, I mean, I mean, they're not going to convert at a great rate on third and nine plus. Like, no team's going to do that. But we saw against Michigan last year at the end of the season. Like, they're playing in the citrus bowl and they're having to use fake tight end QB sneak push pushes to get first down against a team that's sitting players out. Like, that was the level that they got to last season because of how poor the run game was, because of how bad the push in the O line is. And, you know, I'm kind of fine with Texas not wanting to lean into the power run game. That much, they don't need to have that to win this game. That can be one where you start to develop a little more as the season goes on. But I, with Coleman and Wingon and Manning, especially Manning's legs, third and 11 and third and nine aren't that crazy for me to see Texas go in and getting a few of those on Ohio State and kind of flipping the script from two bad plays, especially more so than when they had when you were and he was an as mobile. What I'm concerned about is, hey, you get, you get what you need on first and second down, right?
Some others gives you a five yard carry, then you get to another three yards and suddenly it's third and two and you're kind of in Ohio State territory. You get this first down and suddenly you're in scoring position or maybe you're getting close to the red zone. If not, then you lose your points. You have to punt it back. How are they going to be able to respond to that? Is that where Arch Manning's design, QB run comes into play? Probably, for me, honest, is that where a Mosley or Coleman comes into play? Do they have to use trickery to do that? Or can they just run the ball to the outside with the running backs that they got from the portal that they paid a pretty penny for and can they go and convert those plays? We'll see how that goes. That first third and two is really going to concern me like seeing how they come out. What they feel they need to do because I was mentioning like if they have to do some trickery on these third downs, that is not a good sign. If they are able to in the first two that they come out and just run the ball or get Manning and RPO, get him into space and get those easy first downs, the Texas is going to be a super good spot to go and win this game. Well, and this is also this is something that we've seen be an issue with the Steve Sarkiesian team time and time again.
And this is where like if you see if I see Texas go out there and they're in third and short or fourth and short, I don't care where it is on the field or goal line scenario, right? And they actually they're able to go through and like there's moving bodies and they're able to get into the end zone of these. It's been so it's been I can't I honestly cannot remember the last time that we played a like legitimate power five opponent where you know it's a size there's no size on size advantage, right? And I've seen a running back just charred into the end zone with these we as we run the ball from the five yard line, right? I see it all time with all these other teams haven't seen it in a long time with Texas. I mean, I think back to the Florida game where Florida they were like what five and a five and 17 that year. And we're having to run this weird like like you said, the trick or Asian fake where we toss a ball to I mean great. It was it was praises like they were like, wow, look at this look at this place. Look at the scheme from Steve's or occasion, but I'm sitting there. I'm also thinking about like, oh crap.
We're playing Florida and we're having to run the scheme, right? You know, you go back to Washington. We if we can run ball short in short area, we probably beat Washington. We go play Michigan national title. If we can run the ball in the short area, we don't have to run a sweep toss on the goal line. There's a reason why Steve's or occasion had to run to the balls the outside versus Ohio State in the cup bowl. We can't we he tried to run the ball. Jared gives enough of the middle of the play before that didn't work. Nothing doing. I mean, earlier in the year, what happened with Oklahoma? How many times did we see or those a year before? How many times do we see that where we had four plays from the one yard line? And we couldn't get it. We couldn't move the ball one inch. I mean, this team in short area has been a massive just disappointment the last few years and it it's really something like this short area run game needs to that needs to change. And if we do see a change in that, my confidence level for this team just shoots up immediately. This is it to now in the head with all of that. You know, that's like literally my biggest concern with the pro.
The last time we really saw it was when Texas went to Tuscaloosa and lined up their end of football to end that game. Double digit, you know, consecutive. Well, what's Jonathan Brooks? Right, right. And you think, you know, okay, they're starting to turn that hump, turn the tide on that, you know, be a little bit more consistent on those downs. And I'm going to be looking for that Evan from the very beginning. If Texas is having to get you cute way to gimmicky, again, it's going to work every now and then, but it's really going to work when you show that you can run the ball, given the power of your own the game. You can run the ball on the interior. You can line up. I liked what Sark was doing last week on third and short a couple of times. He let ours turn and throw the ball to wide open guys on faves. Can I put that on put that on film for Ohio State make them again, just maybe it's one safety that is keep one extra guy out of that box, but that's going to be a huge key early in the game. Tyler, I didn't mean to cut you off brother, what you got? Yes, this one point is less extreme, less on the extreme side of what Nassau was talking about. It was like really bad and you knew Texas wasn't going to try to run it inside because it couldn't. Last week, Steve Sarkesian wanted so badly for Texas to just run that ball straight into
the end zone right off the rip first possession of the game. Hollywood gets to the 45 yarder, but then he only gets one and then he only gets four and there were a couple offensive line. If you watch the all 22 where you're a couple instances with the offensive line, you're like, yeah, no shot. Of course, he wasn't going to run into the end zone right here. It was a miracle. He got four on the first one. But then like you said, third and five, he throws the fade. So if you do that a couple times, then maybe that's when the inside run game does open up for you. And you know Sark loves to get six yards or seven yards on third and five on the ground. I'm just not sure that's possible right now and that probably keeps him up at night. You know, he's probably frustrated as all can be about that because like Nassau saying, this team is just this program is not there right now to be able to do that. Well, anybody who wants this one take it, but is there a world where we see Holly Wood and we see Raleigh featured on the outsides and then a lot of the interior runs were getting plus one
with archmaning and using him to because like looking back at the the jet the jet fake that he went and scored on against an M last year, you know, he's getting vertical very, very quickly. And Texas is going to need that if they're going to have any success in that game. I don't care. Four or five yards on the interior. If you can do that consistently, like that would be a huge upgrade from what we've seen in the past, especially against these teams like Georgia Ohio State, etc. that we've really had a difficult time with Nash. I would you're almost almost got me to laugh at our rivals because you're like, I don't remember the last time we played a P-14. You know, we've lined up and I don't think we really lined it up on A&L or Oklahoma and just had an easy, give me touchdown last year, but definitely obviously grand the ball better against those two. So we're due Texas is due to line up somewhat punched somebody in the mouth, but I'm kind of like Tyler. I really just don't know if it's going to be this week. And like you said, I mean, Texas might not need that to win. You know what I mean? They meant I need that drive. I didn't mean to pop your question up, but I didn't want to block Tyler's faith. Couldn't do it to the birthday boy, but I wanted to ask the fellows in terms of points. What is the successful start opening script look like? Whoever wants that? This Texas have to score on the opening
drives something for y'all to consider it successful, especially considering what we just talked about. Even the last couple of seasons against these guys and just not not just Ohio State, Georgia as well, not being successful very early on. Yeah, I think score. It could be three. I'm not that picking about that point of it. It's hard mentioned like, hey, I've just been behind in all these games. That's what he was talking about on Monday. Like he is never led against Ohio State as that goes to Texas. And the most he's led against Ohio State plus Georgia is six points in the SEC championship game and that as soon as the halftime whistle blew and Georgia got back on offense, they scored seven and they were in the lead. So just getting I would like Texas to get the ball first in game like this actually. I get your offense on the field and yeah, if it's just three and you're ahead a little bit, that is awesome. I would like to see between the first two drives them get to six or seven points if it's a touchdown on one of the two. Like that either shows that you're consistently moving the ball down the field or that you're able to just score in the first quarter which I haven't been able to do against Ohio State. So that is a super, super big key to the game to
me. I mean that is one of the most important things I'm looking out for. Who wins the first 15? If Texas gets out and is really a step ahead of where they've been against Ohio State in these last two matchups in that first 15, I'm going to feel really good about them being able to establish some deep throws later on in the game because you know, Ohio State's down. They're going to have to play a little more aggressive on defense. They're going to have to force the ball down, feel a little bit more in that can set up Texas for play action shots like we were talking about earlier. And then also, it just in general, if you were able to score early and then you're able to play the offense to match that, that's where you can establish the run late. Like we're talking about Alabama, with Jonathan Brooks. And you know, we've almost sounded a little too doom and gloom about this run game. All of the mothers and relief pound are really good players and relief pound and the jury is not out on him after one week, where maybe two or three carries were a little bit too, too, too, too, too, too, too, to dancey. These are guys that I trust way more than last year to be able to go and pound the rock and end the game. Get you five first downs in the last two drives that you need to go and win a football game. But that starts with winning that first 15. Listen to this shun shun,
pump over here. I just need a crease, you know what I mean? So the margin for air is greater as far as the offensive line in the run game, you know, but I'd take the same performance that we saw a year ago out of that O line to be honest. I'm on the mindset, if we run for a Texas run for 150 yards in this game, I do think it makes life on archmaning a lot. He's very unexpected. Arshta have a really, really big day. Real quick guys, big shout out to our friends at Poncho for sponsoring today's show. And as you can see, the game day collection is out. It's an easy, easy, easy, easy get man come pick up yours. Sorry, I've meant to say it's really lightweight fit. Very breathable. UPS 50 plus. I love this shirt. One of the better shirts I've ever had. So again, thanks for our friends at Poncho. Let's warm last thing before we flip from offense to defense focus. Who's going to be the best player for the Texas offense on Saturday? Who steps up? Who's going to make the plays that helps Texas get across the line? Who's that guy? Is that arch? Is it as simple as archmaning as a receiver? Amnest match? Perhaps that you like? Can't come in the slot against the freshman nickels? Is that is that opportunity that they're maybe the running backs have those explosives and Nash wants? Who we got, fellas? I think. I was just I think that I think you want it to be archmaning, right? Because if archmaning goes out there, takes control of the football game and just looks like just looks calm, but he's just destroying this team. One, immediately your thoughts are going to be okay. How good is Ohio State, right? Are they a little bit of a like are they a little bit of a flute? And as the season goes on, if they continue to get more wins that your confidence continues to rise and archmaning. But I think, you know, going out there and seeing
archmaning dominate a game, I mean, that would really you're you're going out there and you're going okay, like this is a this is legitimate this time this year, this is a legitimate potential hyzen run for archmaning. It's been 21 years since we've been able to say that. It's just I think that that archmaning going out there and having a having a really good game where he's just in complete control, that gives you the most confidence for the season as the season goes on. It needs to be archmaning. Give me Ryan Wingo to have another really good game. Like he's he's going to stack that performance because I think there's still some Texas fans in the back of their minds going. Yeah, that was nice that Ryan Wingo went off against Texas State, but what's he going to do against Ohio State? Well, I think he's talented enough to go out there and you saw it last year, like I get it living since horse that touchdown, but arch was looking for Wingo a lot to detect the connection wasn't quite there. Now it is. Now Cam Coleman is there to
worry about and I think that was a big reason why Wingo played so well in that game, but who cares if it was, man, that that's the beauty of having multiple threats at receiver on the same team. Well, how state's been doing it for years and Carnout tape catches the game winning touchdown pass. Like Evan mentioned earlier, because Jeremiah Smith is out there and Texas paying so much attention to him. You watch that play. Safety is a single high and I don't know how much single high Texas played in that game, but they were playing it on that play and he ran over to go help on during my Smiths route. It's one on one, Jalen Gilbo, Carnout tape, Carnout tapes the number one receiver in this year's NFL draft. Like you're going to lose a rep to that guy here and there and he lost it there and Texas lost the game. So I think Ohio State knows who Cam Coleman is and they're going to pour a lot of attention into him and I think Ryan Wingo has another good game. And that's awesome for Texas because that might be there. Like if he does it two games out of the gate and one of them is against the number one team of the country, I think Ryan Wingo might be a guy
all season long. What you got Evan? Who you got? I'm good at growth Nash here and not to, I feel like it would have said we were setting up for a Cam Coleman third, but in an all honesty, I this is where you having our spending a year more experienced matters a lot, right? I'm sorry, mention it on Monday, it was the run game was fine against Ohio State and it didn't add a lot, but it definitely wasn't a detractor like it was in some other games, especially like it was in the 2024 game. And why is there 16 for 80 five yards per carry? I mean, that's a pretty good line overall, even though a lot of that was kind of in between the 20s and maybe in the less higher impact parts of the game, but then the day, right? Sarkeesian schemes up a beautiful outside on the throw on the move throw for archmaning and it skips five feet in front of Deandre Moore. And that's kind of the tone we're setting for the rest of the game. So it just has to be this has to be a quarterback battle that archmaning wins and he's playing against the defense. He's not playing against Julian Sain, but you know, you you built your team around this player and you built your team up for this game
since the start of last off season when you knew he was going to come back and return to school. So now it's now or never for archmaning to really be that a plus go and go and make a signature win for his long warrant team because he's gotten over the hump of the OU and M he's able to beat those teams, but we're still waiting for it with Ohio State and Georgia. And so this is this is where it has to start. I really do think the QB run game is going to be so much more involved than it was last week. He was clearly on a leash. I mean, we saw multiple times where you can tell he was like, oh wait, I'm not allowed to run MI. So design run, scramble, scramble is the great the great game breaker in college footballing. We've got a quarterback who can see a full field of covered players have a blocker or have a defensive player go on block still get a first down out of that. It just completely demoralizes the defense knowing they got to go and do that three more plays against the same quarterback who we've already seen some reporting that Ohio State's really seriously considering a spy. Did you guys see what player that Christian Legro said that they're studying to tackle archmaning? Anyone catch that? I told you. And then off the spurgers shout out
the Steelers. That was I grew up watching the Steelers. But then off the Spurger was the hardest quarterback to tackle the league. Not just because he was more elusive than people game credit for. Just a big dude really hard to get down on the pocket. Archmaning is really hard to get down on the first tackle. So him being able to get through the first guy and also add after that in the run game throw on the move as well, that has to be the biggest fact that gives Texas the chances to win. Yeah, I think that like when you're like on the last game, there were multiple plays where archmaning the the analysis made it made a note that archmaning has got enough time to read a book back there. Like he's not he's not going to be holding on onto the ball for six to seven seconds. If if there if there's not a wide receiver open by that point in versus Ohio State, you can bet that he's probably taken off by that. You could literally see like as he's processing and going through reads he has probably in his head he's telling himself don't run don't run you know what I mean? It looks like it looks like a practice like it almost looked like like a scrimmage situation where he's
like okay like I like I'm working on this right now like I'm trying to like like we already got a twenty one twenty eight point lead. Let's not let's not do anything stupid right here. One thing to make your point of and you know and again Texas had way too many runs that went for nothing or for negative yards even though we could go not just against Ohio State the Georgia is in the past. Archman in the ground game that felt like there's such a better chance of that not happening right because he's getting north and south really really quickly. He normally makes pretty good reads when his you know as a design run or any type of reads situation is I agree with you on that one big time DKW. All right so let's talk a little bit of defense. I do want to know what I would call in the first place so maybe we can just yarn it text me after I mean I did that every single week for a couple of years since one of my favorite questions so think about what your answer I don't want to throw that on the spot but defensively I obviously Jeremiah Smith we talked about Devon McQueen you have or McEwan sorry you have Julian Sain is it really as simple as like take Jeremiah Smith out of this game and you massively slow down this offense or like is the combination of McEwan and Sain and these running backs is that enough to beat Texas you know because it was
enough in the last two seasons of course some some play by the Texas offense aided in Buckeye wins both ties but will Howard and Mekke Bucke they made some really really big plays in that cotton bowl and again like I have it or Tyler mentioned earlier a carnal carnal take kind of had the real big back breaker last year when they had to have it so yeah what are your thoughts there is that is it that simple whoever wants to take that I don't know if it's that simple because this really does feel like the game where you you can't get them three times in a row right do any of you really we know the stats how many of us raise our hands and say we feel like Jeremiah Smith's going to have another game where he's just not a factor for a state feels like feels like the year where it's going to happen and this is also a Julian Sain confidence thing I mean that game last year Sain was on a pretty pretty tough leash of you're getting the ball out quick we know we need to do to beat this Texas team you just need to limit turnovers get first downs here and there there was also some plays where Sain didn't get a lot of help and I think there was a drop on his first fourth down non conversion they had clear yeah Claire and that was got we expected to actually play
more of a factor in that game and and no how he doesn't have a max player this year so there's a lot of onus on Smith and sanded to be those guys I do think this is one of those games where Smith is going to get past the defense Smith is going to have a chance one on one where you just reminded that this is the best player in the sport but I do I do think that there is a clear weakness for a outstate in that third pass get your role because they don't have running backs that catch the ball at the back for like Trayvon Henderson they don't have a max Claire who wasn't that big of a deal in last year's game but also and we know how state and play all that well offensively last game they don't have an ameka buka as their wider seaver three I'm not the highest on branded in as he's kind of just a slot guy a veteran that you can trust it's not going to drop the ball but Texas has to be able to prioritize both the receivers equally and if one of them does beat you it can't it can't turn into a cascading effect where you're letting guys go one on one down field I do think Texas is too high identity with Wilmos champ is going to play a good factor here I'm Kobe Black that a really good game his first game last week as a safety Texas just needs to be
able to keep the ball in front of them and I know we're hearing a lot of PK haters they can come out and say like oh god keep the ball in front of you but at some point you're going to get them into a third down if you're blitzing early or if you're just playing too deep one of the other you can get them to third downs then you're saying all right let's let's force Jeremiah Smith to beat to win with two guys on him if not him then Devin McEun's got to beat some really good football players down the field whether being zoned coverage whether Texas is bringing up blitz so I'm curious at how it looks exactly in those early early drives where where is bus champ going to be aggressive is he going to kind of take the approach of we're just going to play two back and say oh how is that you struggle to run the ball against ball state do it against us with our big rotation and deline and but the the deep ball game is what's going to matter for Jeremiah Smith's success Tyler where are you tossing there just is it similar to Evans you think there's a bit of a different plan I mean again you're going to have to show the guys some extra love at times but it feels like most champions Texas might challenge Jeremiah Smith in this Ohio state run game
again if they're able to show the pick and run game you have to start challenging them right you think Jeremiah Smith gives much one-on-one at work at all or is Texas really really going to just make sure I have a feeling too I feel like he eventually gets with someone on a really big play right because of who he is what are your thoughts I don't think that they let him line up one-on-one very often if at all in this game just because you've seen that it works the way that you play him and I actually wrote an article about this and most of the pushback was hey Texas didn't lose Ohio State's why I speak because you know they they were so wrapped up in what Jeremiah Smith was doing and and you know it cost them at other places with this Ohio state offense if you hold Ohio State to 14 points last year the defense has done his job hold them to 21 points in the cotton bowl you know 28 came from play that we don't like talking about very much but yeah that was that was just three touchdowns so it's worked if it ain't broke don't fix it obviously well
much champ is a different guy than PK so he might have a different approach to this but he's also a smart guy and smart guys don't leave Jeremiah Smith one-on-one on an island with any any corner back unless I mean you had Leonard Moore at Notre Dame I covered him for a few seasons like he's a guy that you probably trust to do it but even then I think you kind of shade with your safety help to that side that's one thing that Texas can do in this game though because of what Evan said that like outside of Devin McEwan and Smith not a lot of other people um scary yes so play the too high and make sure the safety's no like the two guys that can't beat them because they will and then kind of man up on the other ones lock them down and I think that gives you opportunities to win up front in that type of scheme and also you know it'd be very um let's just say like much champ would be very angry if he left two safeties back and somehow the ball went over everyone's head and Jeremiah Smith ran into the end zone with it so place safe
but also play a little maybe a little bit more aggressively than PKG it like find that happy middle ground and if the happy middle ground means that Smith goes for six catches 70 yards in a touchdown but Texas still wins the game then you take that result over the last two times that you play him absolutely there Nash what are your thoughts you're gonna have the number one key for Texas's defense what it was the biggest thing is stopping the run as a gid and a julienne saying is it is it protecting the secondary against Jeremiah Smith what are your thoughts I think it's getting to join saying uh I so if you've ever furnished a restaurant hotel or an office you know the trail five vendors five in voices five delivery windows but there's a better way to do this Creighton barrel contract is a business to business program that covers three brands Creighton barrel CB2 and Creighton kids with one account one order one delivery they've got durable plates and glasses contract grade furniture and lighting that looks custom that's built for the wear of busy space actually takes and the best part is you're not doing it alone a dedicated rep

interceptions if you comp the mission Michigan game he has three touchdowns and that one to one or a section but against ranked teams last year he he had one touchdown to zero versus Texas that's six touchdowns to four interceptions I mean that's not that that doesn't scream you know some amazing quarterback and then when you look at the games horse Indiana Miami Indiana outside of outside Jeremiah Smith the out Jeremiah Smith had 144 yards right the rest of the wider receivers account for 115 yards from julienne sands uh Miami Florida or Miami that they have like a julienne sand or Jeremiah Smith has like 157 yards some like that the rest of the team has 130 so it's just I think it's one of these deals where you join sand can you or not join saying Jeremiah Jeremiah Smith can go out there and have a big game from julienne sand it's just how you know how do we control the overall numbers does everybody else you know are there a lot of other guys you know getting a lot of touchdowns uh producing out there
I just I haven't seen I haven't seen it from julienne sand where he goes out there and he plays a top level team and he goes out there and dominates the game most of those games that you see from you know he's it going out there scoring four touchdowns three touchdowns in the game that's Minnesota Wisconsin Penn State last year was terrible uh so it's just it's one of these deals where I don't even know that it's proven from julienne sand and from that you tell me you start getting a guy that's not not proven uh he has you know if anything he's proven that he doesn't you know throw a lot of touchdowns in these ranked games get get after get that guy get that guy's head running you know have Colin Simmons be an absolute nightmare for that guy uh haven't Lance Jackson because if if you don't got Colin Simmons run after you got Lance Jackson after you if you don't got one of those two dudes you got some giant athletic defense attack that looks like a damn monster uh I mean I just I think that getting his head spinning is really where you could start to get some separation in this football game I actually found a really
telling stat on this in an article that I wrote today when julienne sand was pressured last year he threw an interception on 12.9% of those dropbacks and he didn't throw a lot of picks last year then he only threw eight in total but 12.9% of the time that he dropped back under pressure pick that's that's not a like insignificant clip because when he wasn't pressured he only threw an interception on 1.6% of those dropbacks with no pressure and that was a lot more dropbacks he dropped back 311 times with no pressure and only 1.6% of those were picks he only threw one pick when he wasn't under pressure two or three maybe at the most and then when he was pressured 112 dropbacks and he threw seven or uh four of his picks were so like half of his picks were on a way smaller uh sample size of when he was pressured so name of game is get it get after the guy
and he's a completely different quarterback in a bad way. Evan what are your thoughts on can texas replicate replicate what my Amy did to him um you know what indiana did to how do you feel personalized texas is built? We built to do that as Ohio states line better or worse from a year ago obviously saying it's gonna have improved some is it enough to where you know we might see a stark difference on what everything Tyler just said because it's hard to believe so man to get in this hard to believe that he'll see another pass rush like texas I mean they've got some good quality opponents on that schedule uh this is a huge test for dealing with saying but also just talking to me about your thoughts can texas get to him can we move them off the spucks? Since we're in the mood of talking about some stats about how to say last year and someone pointed out in chat and I wanted to go make sure I got it right you know the only last two games last year was the final two games of season and given that indiana and my Amy were very very good pass Russian teams I mean they they were the national championship duo and my Amy had Rubin Bane and they had a two total first round picks on that D line another one's gonna come out this year but he was sacked 13 times all last year Julian saying nine of them came in the final two games I mean that was
the the big difference for the Ohio state at the end was their offensive line did not hold up and saying was not like Tyler's mentioned here not great under pressure not great when the blitz was coming in and so and to add to what Nash sank there's not really a signature game from last year we can look to and go that's a defense that was going after him that was a high level team that he then was dicing up when the when the block bodies run the pocket when he was under pressure so if there's one spot that Ohio state fans are concerned about going into this game it's offensive line specifically a tackle I don't know if you guys have seen the reports but they're they're thinking about moving around their offensive line ahead of this game like I mean right guard filled net or right tackle excuse me Philip Daniels was someone who played a lot last year split some snaps in this game in their week one gaming in spall state their first two drives they started out pretty slow and there were guys getting in the backfield on their guys and that's ball state Austin Syruvald is is their kind of superstar probably their best overall offensive lineman if you if you're taking just overall ability one of the problems that he's not been able to find a spot because he's playing tackle and guard and mixing around to fill their holes so if they're not
sound it offensive tackle it's not just the Texas can blitz Ohio state it's that Colin Simmons is going to have chances one on one and that would be the single worst mismatch in this game the two best players of this game are Jeremiah Smith and and Colin Simmons I think that Texas has cornerbacks and defensive backfield are better than the tackles at Ohio state so if Texas is in a four man rush type of type of spot and they're able to go out and get pressure from that spot they're in a really really really good spot to go and win this game that's still an if right but I'm I'm looking at the Ohio state the line and going the same problems that Texas has with their interior Ohio state is filling that with their offensive tackles so blitzes are going to be a problem for Ohio state if trials can go in and read some havoc but I'm also just looking at like if Texas drops back and plays cover two and and you've got Colin Simmons getting pressures immediately getting a sack here there that's going to cause a lot of problems for the buck guys well and if they're sitting there if they're in a situation where they're already starting to they're saying hey we need to rotate our offensive line and we need to get somebody else out there you know to basically
defend Colin Simmons this is called for what it is uh that already adds another level layer uh advantage to Colin Simmons game because now Colin Simmons who already has a really high football IQ he's able to go out there I mean there's who knows what you know what level readiness that offensive tackle is uh to be able to you know to come back whatever Colin Simmons doing if it is Colin Simmons doing you know a ball rush move is he's doing a swim right is he just trying to beat you to the outside like he does so often uh where he just got this like one of the Colin Simmons like one of the things that makes him so different is his he just got this level ability to bend and be like get around with offensive tackle at such a freak like just in state upright it's a it's a freaky level of athleticism from him so I mean when you're an offensive tackle and now you're you know your first job is to go out there and you know have to handle that guy that level dude not you're not only having to play the you know the athleticism
you're having to play the chess match that Colin Simmons is out there playing so I think that that really adds another layer of advantage for Texas for me got to win on first and second downs you know what I mean you make it to where Ohio State doesn't have the third and third and fourth or they can get the ball out of saying in his hands really really quickly uh just a very talented rider seeers I'm a little fearful of what they might have skimmed up in the screen game um just because I know Sarc's gonna be creative he's gonna have his own wrinkle and with a regarding a screen in time or two um but yeah that that you just went on first and second down so that you can be aggressive in ways that you get to say and then you can rally and tackle the football if he has to get it out of his hands if you're not getting all the way to him but that's always that's pretty coach speaking right there winning on first and second downs makes life a lot easier on third downs one last thing guys and I just want it just just just just whatever school you're picking whether it's Texas or Ohio State this isn't score related those will be dropped on inside Texas tomorrow morning you can get that in the round table also but advantage at quarterback avenue first Texas or Ohio State
no taxes Nash Texas my man Texas clean sweet four across Texas one's that advantage in the running backroom Texas here's the middle now dead even dead even dead even I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm hedging I think Bo Jackson I think Bo Jackson might be the best of the four primary running backs on the Ohio State I was gonna also say that for that exact reason we'll play there Evan wider seaver room oh I'm gonna go Ohio State I wouldn't have said that before what McEwen was doing but I think if if you're time at the best player in the sport and then you've got McEwen playing really well it's gonna be them fair I can't play honestly with the Ohio States with the Ohio State you know wider seaver factory that they have but it Texas
I think Emmett Mosley's the tie breaker and I'm going Texas they don't have a third receiver like we have more please that's where I was gonna lean to to to to their respected offensive line I guess draw have you guys I don't know who's uh feeding the reports but I was watching college football live and Pete Dammel was like I've been told this is Ohio State's best offensive line in the Ryan Bay era and I was like to watch that first game I think they're trying to push a narrative on us guys the book I burn her 1485 tell you that like you know where did that come from uh I'm gonna go with Texas on this because of I do think they're gonna end up being a very elite past blocking unit throughout the year I think they're gonna be a very plus one in this game obviously again a different a different challenge to what Texas State brought a week ago but I do trust the past blocking group that's product of Calflips system as a non-line coach we've seen him do this year and year should not be surprised with these tackles Brandon Baker just continues to improve um you
know it's gonna be a good group very disciplined responsible group we didn't have too many penalties yet not trying knock on one guys hasn't have not gonna try to ruin that force last year I thought Ohio State had the better tie-ins coming into this game and I thought that could be a difference maker you didn't really see much from any of the tie-ins I think Max Claire might have made one catch maybe obviously saw a little bit of injuries late uh quote saw injuries on the the last fourth down tackled by Caleb Downs who I cannot say I'm that's one of my bigger takeaways there's no Caleb Downs on the field that is a huge thing uh that that guy I mean again Texas got him in 2023 Tuscalooso we talked about that but he was a monster in the last two seasons against the Longhorns tie-ins Texas so Ohio State I'm going Texas I really believe in their perimeter blocking and I think we might see one sneakily get out in the route tree and make a big play this week yeah I'll go to Texas but I don't think it's all that important really yeah okay I don't want to be a prisoner of the moment but I'll go to Texas because I like what I saw last week and if that if that's who they are then that's pretty big for the run game
Green Nash? No Texas yeah I mean I I think that when you're looking at the Texas tie-ins in 2026 I don't know necessarily going to be one tied in that's going to stand out above the rest I think it's going to be kind of a conglomerate that makes up a you know one one whole you know bad ass player all right we'll apply through the defense so we can get the birthday guy out of here let's go defensive line Texas Ohio State I think we're all clean sweeper Texas here yeah seven is the big decider in that one but I do also do think Texas is the depth it's the depth yeah yeah it's it's it's insane at Texas especially on the interior of the defensive line and that's I've been went through a very trusty four buck I linebackers earlier I think that four is a really really solid rotation Texas Ohio State linebacker room where you thinking go how state I think the depth is way better and cryer was not great against uh Texas state that ball was really good he had some missed tackles he had a few plays and covers that concern me a little bit every time cryer was running I could hear Connor talking about the speed
I can't I can't yeah there it is there's the speed yeah no uh I'm gonna go Ohio State if I if we can say that Texas has a better wide receiving core than Ohio State even though Ohio State has Jeremiah Smith then we can say that Ohio State has a better linebacking core even though Texas has Reemblas okay yeah like that a lot again I would go with the Ohio State I think those four were pretty trust were trustworthy uh Allegro Madoves incredibly well for a guy his size very very uh head head he player as IQ for the game is great a lot of talent in that room for Ohio State I was so the secondary overall we won't go by positions the secondary overall guess I think go the horns yeah that July and MacDonald I think it's probably the best DB here young cornerback rooms but Texas is Phillips and little 10 have a little bit more experience in Sanchez and Timons the overall I like McLean on their side I like Kobe Black on Texas's side give the horns the nod there give me the horns I'm speaking of Kobe Black
well you know he had to be an absolute assassin in practice and just an annoying so Steve Sarkies and they're like okay stick him on safety with tie on the spread can I go draw is that lame to finish on a draw but I like both of these groups and they're like boy you can do it all right draw I think they're both really good and they're both going to be better at the end of the year than they are now if they stay healthy too because like I think these coordinators are going to figure out a lot about them and kind of like piece them up the right way and I like these secondaries I got a lane towards a draw on that I hate to say that but I think we're going to learn a lot about those secondaries I think there's a little bit of unproveness um for a couple of guys obviously it's on the youth on this roster for Texas obviously Ohio State at well they're starting a freshman nickel we'll see how it plays out really quick guys special teams who's going to have the better special teams on this game because I always it always matters I heard Ryan Day talking about how like they couldn't return a kick that I didn't watch the kickoffs but he basically said I don't know what the heck we're doing on kickoffs and so that was it if Texas can get a kickoff
return you know pump returns have been more likely a late but I do like Ohio State's kicker a little bit more than Gianni Spedic for whatever that's worth he's he's a Texas native to Connor Hawkins it's a throw man it's special teams the team that makes a special teams play at the end of it at the end of 60 minutes we could say that that team have the edge you you never really know though yeah well said this this is sick last last week here I go give them a special teams player the way you can coordinate dismisses it says we're not doing as well I'm trying to help you out Nash here we are are you going here give me give me give me give me give me Texas I'm just for you know the nice little homework take right there but uh yeah you know Texas we're ahead and see the punter hopefully we don't see him again it'll get all time her in terminology it all I just don't know though how state special teams that well but Texas has Ryan Nibblet's over unit Texas now like the fault to Ryan Nibblet I think special teams will be another big play uh Texas had several of
them last year obviously in the special teams department fill positions gonna matter guys scoring in the red zone all of it it's gonna be a lot of fun again under 48 hours from kickoff that's mvth nashtocks Texas birthday boy Tyler Horka I'm cord samuels we really appreciate you watching inside Texas make sure you're sub to the channel um and throw a like and comment on the video to help us out y'all have a blessed rest of your evening thanks again for watching so if you've ever furnished a restaurant hotel or an office you know the drill five vendors five in voices five delivery windows but there's a better way to do this craten barrel contract is a business to business program that covers three brands craten barrel CB2 and craten kids with one account one order one delivery they've got durable plates and glasses contract grade furniture and lighting that looks custom that's built for the wear of busy space actually takes and the best part is you're not doing it alone a dedicated rep handles your project end to end from volume orders to
