Canada's newly established Office of the Foreign Influence Commissioner will administer and enforce a new public registry designed to bring complete transparency to foreign political lobbying across the country. Formally launched on August 4, 2026, under the Foreign Influence Transparency and Accountability Act, the office is led by Canada's inaugural commissioner, Anton Boegman.
