Trump Begs for Support as MAGA Turns Back on Him!

0:00The Republican Party is furious and worried this afternoon. Why? Because nobody's planning on showing up to Donald Trump's midterm convention, and they're so worried that they're now blasting out random text messages urging and begging people to take free tickets. It comes as there are a new calls for Donald Trump's removal from office. After today, after a 24-hour deranged AI truth social spray, he concluded it by posting a new map of North America. Except the new map of North America is only the United States of America, that's right. You heard him now wanting to take over Mexico, wanting to take over parts of the Caribbean. This is what the President of the United States is doing on Labor Day. And I want to start in Dallas where the Republican Party is scrambling to give away free tickets to Donald Trump's midterm convention. In a franting bid, they're now sending out these types of text messages urging people screaming free tickets with links straight to the registration page. Right now, the Trump-A-Pollosa gathering is not filling up. And so organizers have been pulling out all of the stops urgently to try to fill seats,

1:02including running a public lottery, promising VIP treatment, urging Republican operatives to hand out passes to their own networks, and blasting these on solicited text messages. It's the party's first-ever midterm convention designed to energize Republicans before voters head to the polls on November 3rd. Trump and his allies are also using it to try to boost Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxson, who somehow locked in a surprisingly tight race against Democrat James Tolerico. It's supposed to be a rock solid red state, but Texas could very well flip blue for the very first time this cycle. Here's the problem though. The $25,000 cost of attending has irritated plenty of Republicans. It is not cheap. Just to be an honorary guest is five grand and honorary delegate, 20 grand. It is not cheap to show up. And most Republicans aren't even showing up because they don't want to. They don't want to be associated with the president. They don't want to be associated with this convention. But it actually gets worse for this White House because the White House has confirmed that Melania Trump is also a no-show to prime and president of one of the most recognizable

2:02figures in the Republican Party, and a bend that's supposed to project Republican unity. Meanwhile, the RNC is simultaneously trying to turn the whole thing into a massive fundraising grab. Trump's donors are being asked $250,000 just to attend a roundtable with him and another 88, $600 on top. What won the same deal with Vice President Vance instead? $75,000 for a roundtable, $35,000 for a photo. Even the speaker lineup is generating controversy right now. Why? The RNC released a fresh list of speakers, 109 speakers, including Trump and Vance, but it also includes Todd Blanche and his participation in a partisan political event raises significant hatch act concerns, though law meant to stop executive branch employees from using their position to influence elections. But it also comes as the numbers simply aren't adding up in Delas. Because you see, American Airlines Center where this is being held holds about 21,000 people. The RNC initially claimed that the event would draw 20,000, and need the biggest in-party history.

3:03But if you compare that to 2024, the convention was a 4-day presidential spectacle in Milwaukee that drew an estimated 50,000 people, including tens of thousands of delegates, donors, media, and visitors, all there is Trump formally accepted the nomination on unveil JD Vances's running mate. RNC spoke for us in Zach Kraft. And since last month, that this event will be larger than the Republican convention in Milwaukee, claiming that there is a groundswell of grassroots excitement in Texas and across the country. And R&C Chairman Joe Grooters echoed that over the weekend saying that the convention would tell the story of what he called Trump and Republican historic success for the American people. Trump himself posted on Truth Social calling it the greatest rally of them all promising our tremendous victories and success, saying he's not only going to speak on night one, but he's now also going to speak on night two. But most Americans are saying we just want lower prices, and on Labor Day, prices are through the roof. Now, but if you ask Scott Best and the Treasury Secretary, we're actually in a great economic position. Take a listen. This is national wealth. The economy obviously will be front and center for these midterm elections.

4:08What is your assessment of the current economy? What are your predictions for the future? Maybe you can build on what you just said. And what message would you ultimately send the American people as they go to vote in November? Yeah, it's as as I said, they are on prices that wages are up. The prices are actually core inflation is very close to the Fed's 2% target. And we have an energy supply shock. And that is going to end. And I actually think on the other side of this, on the other side of this, we're actually going to see oil prices 40 or 50 dollars because there's so much supply coming on. It's just constricted right now. So my message is underlying economy is very strong. Job growth is strong. Wage growth is strong. I believe as we sit here now, the economy is accelerating. I think we're going through a productivity burst. And I think we are going to get to the other side of this Iran conflict with a safer world, with an Iran that

5:11cannot have a nuclear weapon. The economy is accelerating. But that's not what happens. That's not what most Americans are saying right now. They can't afford groceries. They can't afford gas. Now includes this, putting the American flag over Mexico, the United States of America, over Mexico, over parts of the Caribbean. Now, here's the thing. Under the 25th Amendment, a sitting President can be removed from office if the Vice President and the majority of the cabinet declare to Congress that he's unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Multiple people have called for the 25th Amendment, but realistically none of this is likely to actually happen. If Trump contested a declaration of inability would require two-thirds majority

7:14in both the House and the Senate to sustain it. Even if Democrats flip both chambers in the midterms or moving Trump this way would still require multiple Republicans, including JD Vance himself to go along with it. But it's the pattern that's what's concerning people. They're constant posts that's concerning people. And well, it comes as even his own treasury secretary is facing even more criticism for the way we are interacting with Canada, our close, one of our former, I guess, closest allies. I want to talk about our neighbors to the North, Canada. President Trump offered Prime Minister Carney what you say was a highly favorable trade agreement that Carney blew up at the last minute. Canada is expected to impose those retaliatory tariffs. How do you see all of this playing out? Well, Laura, the Ida German Shepherd and the, there was a dockson that used to antagonize her at the playground. And it kind of reminds me of that. It kind of reminds me of that. And this little yippie dog that used to just like bark away. And for a long time, 110-pound German Shepherd

8:21was ignoring the dockson. And then one day she'd had enough. And unfortunately, Prime Minister Carney did walk away. They were given the opportunity for a great trade deal. And they didn't want it. And it looks like it's for political reasons. But the US, it is not much of a hit to us if any, if any, because we're hearing all these stories inflation, that it is negligible. I would like someone to show me the statistical significance of these the Canadian tariffs on US prices. And I'm happy to debate them. A lot of Americans are saying, well, we don't want to trade war. We just want people to do things here in the United States of America. We elect politicians to get things done. And politicians simply don't get things done. And oftentimes one of the biggest excuses that politicians say about getting things done is, well, who the hell is going to pay for it? Who the hell is going to pay for something like Medicare for all? Who the hell is going to pay for something like

9:24free public education for preschoolers or for universal pre-K paid family leave? Basic policies that most of the Western world has. Well, when you ask, they say, well, who's going to pay for it? It's too damn expensive. It doesn't work. That's why a message like this is resonating over a million, a million, a million, a million, a million, a million people see this from up to what else I get to go listen. Now, every single program I talk to you about, every single one, you propose this program and somebody looks at you, very serious people. They almost at least have a side part. They give you that look. Dr. How are you going to pay for that? You know what they never ask a general who wants to send your tax dollars abroad or go to war in a place like Iran? General, how are you going to pay for that? I think it is time for our US Senate and our Congress people.

10:28And everybody in a position of power to be asking that general, how are you going to pay for that in an America where too few people get the health care they need and deserve? How are you going to pay for that? While our infrastructure is crumbling? How are you going to pay for that? While we know our literacy rates are tumbling, it is time for us to focus, to address the problems that people in our country need solved. I mean, those are all real questions, right? How are you going to pay for that? How are you going to pay for it? Right now, there isn't an answer in terms of how someone is going to pay for it. But politicians, for example, instead of asking how you're going to pay for it, politicians should instead just do it. Just do it. Money's there. You can do it. Right?
