Jimmy Kimmel announced overnight that his interview with Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talleriko scheduled to air tonight will not air. Why? Because Trump's FCC threatened Jimmy Kimmel live, ABC and local affiliates. Instead, the interview is only going up on YouTube. Kimmel says he's doing that out of consideration for ABC's local stations, especially the ones in Texas who to otherwise have to deal with the regulatory fallout. You know, for a lot of years, for the whole 20 plus of year of our show, in fact, I've been interviewing Americans who are running for office with no problem at all, just like Letterman did, Leno did, our Cineo etc, etc. I've interviewed a lot of political candidates from Hillary Clinton to Ted Cruz to Donald Trump himself. I interviewed Donald Trump when he was running for president in 2015 and at that time when he was on sitting next to me, he seemed to have no problem with the idea of talk show host interviewing candidates. In fact, he was very eager to come back for another interview, which he did just before he became the nominee in 2016, but for some reason, and I can't seem to figure out what that reason is. Something has changed. Now that he is president, his FCC is threatening me, threatening our show, threatening our network ABC, our affiliates, our local stations based on simple, traditional,

3:10editorial decisions, guest bookings. It would seem they don't like. And so out of consideration for our local stations, especially our ABC affiliates in Texas, who would have to deal with this nonsense. My interview tomorrow with James Talleriko will not err on television. It will be posted on YouTube, instead. It will not be on TV. So if you want to learn about a candidate for the Senate tomorrow, you will have to go to the Jimmy Kimmel live YouTube channel where you will see it in its entirety. Kimmel has interviewed political candidates for his show, his entire 20 plus year run without ever having an issue. Hillary Clinton Ted Cruz trumped himself back in 2015 when on Jimmy Kimmel's show. Kimmel said it himself. He can't explain what's changed other than the fact that Trump is now president and his FCC is targeting quote simple traditional editorial decisions.

4:15And it's not an isolated incident because if you remember back six months ago, Cole Bear, when he was still hosting, said CBS lawyers told him that he couldn't err a schedule interview with the same candidate James Talleriko, also citing FCC threats. So who is James Talleriko? And why does he keep getting silenced? He's a four-term Texas state representative, former school teacher and a press veterinarian, seminarian, and he's running a genuinely competitive senate race against state attorney general Ken Paxson. And the state Democrats have not won a federal seat in in over 30 years. And that's why they held the convention last night in Dallas, Texas. Dubbed Trump, Paloza, the first ever Republican midterm convention held in Dallas, did not go the way Trump wanted people to see it. See, Trump's opening night speech was left with empty seats. This was taken by a reporter, Garrett Hake, about 50 to 90 minutes into Donald Trump's speech. And as

5:16you can see, there are empty seats galore. The down, the first section of the bowl was relatively filled, but sections two, three, and up top. Not a single person there in some sections. That's real. And despite he kept insisting that the 21,000 capacity arena was packed, that's just not true. Giant screened behind him actually glitched even during his opening remarks. But the headline from the speech is something a little more sinister. Donald Trump promised every American adult a $5,000 dividend if Republicans keep control of Congress. Take a listen. That only I can make this promise to you. And here is my promise. If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, like in history, we've never had anything like what's happening. But because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend

6:21to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000. Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to a shareholders. But here's the thing. And media companies are reporting it as though it's going to happen. It can't. It sounds great, right? It just doesn't hold up, though. Because Trump actually gave zero explanation for how it would be funded, just said Republicans need to win. He claimed it's possible because of the economy's tremendous strength, even as inflation today stays above the Fed's target. Inflation surge to 4.6% the highest numbers since just a few months ago in June. Let's do the math. Paying roughly $245 million Americans, $5,000 each comes out to more than

7:24a 1.2 trillion dollars. That's several times more than what his tariffs actually bring in. And the federal government is already running deficits of about $2 trillion a year on top of $40 trillion in debt. It isn't a dividend. A dividend is when a company pays out its profits. This would be a deficit finance giveaway. And here's the kicker. The Supreme Court already ruled back in February that the emergency powers Trump used to justify the tariffs doesn't actually authorize them. And the government's giving back that money, unwinding and refunding those duties ever since. Trump has no unilateral authority to send money without, it's sent this money without Congress. And plenty of folks in his own party, fiscal hops are already saying they won't go along with it. And let me remind you, he also promised did and checks for tariffs, $2,000. The doge refund checks for promised. That never happened. And this one won't either. And it's unfortunate that some just report as a headline because it's just simply never going to come to fruition. But you know, it will come to fruition another forever war. Because now we're learning that privately behind

8:26the scenes, the Wall Street Journal has confirmed that Vance and Rubio have privately warned Trump that the war in Iran could drag on through the rest of his presidency. We're talking past inauguration day in January of 2029. And it's a massive contradiction of what Trump has been telling the public where he keeps saying the war will end immediately after the midterms because Iran is desperate and cannot hold out any longer. It comes as US crude briefly topped $100.00. The barrel Brent crude hit about $105.00, both the highest levels since May. And well, despite being quote obliterated, Iran was able to successfully damage multiple US military aircraft on strikes on an airbase in Jordan, including an 810 thunderbolt losing a wing and about 8F15s taking lighter damage.
