15:59really hard and that position is the hardest and they have to get rid of the ball faster than ever and it has been perfected by a whole lot of masters we've been watching for 20 years who don't make the kind of mistakes anymore the drake made last night three times in the fourth quarter you've gotten so used to football quarterbacks make good decision safe decisions careful decisions the Patriots have a quarterback we just won the super ball and then at the end can't play against the sea hawks like they're too good and they stop him they confuse him they're doing something that no one else in the league is doing to drake made they've made him look bad twice and competent and at the end of yesterday's game the champions beat the other team that was in the super ball when I should have had wanted to be impressed with the Patriots and then closing the gap because I didn't think the Patriots were actually very close to as good as the sea hawks last year but you got a beat him if Sam Darnold goes down and they're up 10 nothing and the reason they didn't beat them is because their quarterback uncommonly sloppy for any quarterback of this age that's not allowed once anymore never mind three times in the fourth quarter when happens three times in the fourth quarter all of us react like a spaceship landed on the field because it looks like blanket

17:02incompetence it's like oh you lost the game and you lost it by yourself but to me the evolution that's wild in that sport it's only because it's totally been normalized that those guys don't make those mistakes with the world crashing in on them in the fourth quarter because we all play safe football careful football our quarterback does not turn it over like that we've gotten used to that change in football Aaron Rogers brought it the other guys mastered it and now when it happens on the fourth quarter all of us walk away from the television saying holy shit does the Patriots quarterback stink because if you do that in the game it doesn't even matter how good you are the rest of the time that will lose you every football game played in that sport against even the browns if your quarterback does that in the fourth quarter and there are moments in the game earlier than that that he wasn't really good there's a lot of reads that he kind of missed there's a lot of hospital balls that he threw a J brown kind of low ball that got him hurt now he's gone Romeo dubs was not great whatsoever so it's like kind of a compounding issue with Drake May but then the ball he threw a dubs in double coverage on the sideline bad throw the ball he threw over

20:08playing the one that in the league was the best one last year it's healthy it's at an offseason of rest and has been preparing for you since they dominated you in the last postseason that game fell on Drake May's head and you want to find out how mentally tough it is don't do it at 14 and three when no one expected you to go three and 14 do it when everyone expects you to go 14 and three and you're playing all the best defenses in the league like that's what mental toughness is and it's the hardest thing we ask of any of these guys in sports to be at the center of that because Miles Garrett is chasing you it was the last decision that we're talking about because if he just puts it in his pocket you can't be doing that as a quarterback then you can kick a feel go tie game and you're talking about a coin flip you're talking about overtime at the very works but that's the disaster of it is what I'm telling you what it was a decision a decision it's not a decision they were up 10 nothing going into the fourth quarter or you know late in the third quarter every possession the fourth quarter the Patriots possessions were interception interception interception that look what happened in that game last night is the first quarter back to throw three interceptions in fourth quarter of a season opener with the team tied or to you know to

28:27which ones of them are going to get to the last finish line healthy okay Sam Darnel's already out as you guys said really violent defense but in whatever the analysis is of Drake made today and whatever you think his future is a quarterback when he's playing for that team in that uniform and Tom Brady's the standard okay and by any reasonable measure he and that team have over achieved and until the fourth quarter last night looked like they were going to pull off a surprise in the opening game when I ask you about the mental strength or frailty of having to play that position with its pressures and I keep telling you guys it was Houston they're crazy on defense Denver in the snow crazy on defense and now Seattle twice his last five games okay seven interceptions four fumbles lost 24 sacks like who do you want to play well under those circumstances because he moves plenty well he survives everybody in the league with how much he can run last year but those numbers right there in five games like only CJ Stroud was worse in that one game but in

29:34those five games there has not been somebody playing more meaningful games over the last five games who has been more disastrous at the one thing you cannot do in that sport is don't take those giant negative plays do not make giant mistakes don't turn the ball over five games eleven turnovers 24 sacks that's reckless it's sloppy and it's being done to him like it's not this is not him falling apart as a quarterback this is not him regressing but it will soon be regression if he keeps suffering the lack of confidence that will come from playing the best defense every week I hear I hear what you're saying but if you're an elite quarterback you you still can perform well against the great defenses like if you take take whoever you want who's at the top of the NFL top three top four quarterback and place yet all five of those defenses in a row against them you're not going to expect them to turn the ball over multiple times per game NFL defenses have finally adjusted to the rules changes and I hope the narrative because last night at at times was a little boring I get that very boring

30:38at times and then the fourth quarter came online and there was some big impact plays I like that I really hope the national conversation isn't we have to change rules again because that the defense is being played at such a high level to the point that we've had the discussion the Brady Anderson year now happens a quarterbacks in the NFL NFL off seasons these defenses get on your ass and it's about the great quarterbacks that are able to pivot to the pivots right and Drake May we pointed it out he's played a lot of great defenses towards the tail end of the season now a lot of teams don't have the personnel that those teams have but there is a blueprint there so for Drake May now he's he's got all this film out there Seattle's proven how to play him and be very effective how is he going to respond to that and respond to these defenses game planning for his adjustments because he came on incredibly last season to the meager defensive Drake May and all obviously those stats are incredibly damning but will Campbell who they drafted in the top five has been a turn style left tackle and that is a big issue when you pick somebody that early who
