Semaphore’s New Pricing Model: Built for the AI Era of CICD

CICD is no longer something that runs occasionally during development. For many teams, it's now always on infrastructure that powers software delivery. To support this shift, we're introducing an updated pricing model designed to keep Semicore fast, scalable, and affordable as CICD usage grows. The core idea behind the new model is simple. We're separating compute infrastructure from support and success services. This gives teams more transparency and flexibility in how they use Semicore. As development speeds increase, CICD workloads increase too. Teams today often run more builds per day, larger test suites, more parallel pipelines, and more frequent deployments. CICD has effectively become high volume infrastructure. So our pricing now reflects that reality. First, we're reducing machine pricing.

1:04Our fastest runners, the F1 machines, now cost significantly less per minute with prices starting at $0.0075. These machines will replace the older E1 and E2 runners as part of the new plan, allowing us to focus the platform on high performance compute optimized specifically for CICD workloads. Second, we're changing how self-hosted agents are priced. Previously, self-hosted agents were built per developer seat. With the new model, seat costs are removed entirely. Self-hosted usage is now priced purely based on compute time at $0.0025 per minute. This means teams pay only for the infrastructure they actually run. Another important change is that support and success services are now separate from infrastructure pricing. Support plans focus on operational reliability and response times, while success plans provide proactive help with things like pipeline optimization,

For teams that occasionally need deeper technical guidance, for example, when migrating CICD environments or optimizing pipelines, solutions engineering hours are also available on demand. The result is a modular approach to CICD. Teams can combine infrastructure, support, success, and engineering help based on their needs, and scale those services alongside their CICD usage. If you're already using semifor, nothing changes immediately. You can continue using your current plan as it is. And if you'd like to move to the new structure, you'll be able to switch directly from inside the app. This pricing model reflects where CICD is going.
