1:00Well, well, well, well, well, well, if it isn't the guy that's constantly dealing with car trouble. Well, Jim Tote. Well, well, well, if it isn't the guy who said, I wouldn't get that 2006 Buick, even if it was your dad's, I don't think it was taken care of properly. To which it was very properly. No, it was a good purchase. If you ever had like an older vehicle, because most of my life have been older, I mean, trying to find a way, right? Well, I, I, this and then I'm going to save up and get that for all of you. Well, I mean, I, I bought my, my current Toyota brand new, which was not a good financial decision. It was the worst financial decision of my life was buying a new car. I shouldn't, but like given at the status of your life at the time, my status of the love. Yes. Exactly. And status is where it's at. Like when you get a new vehicle, you should be at a place where you're like, this isn't going to hurt me.

2:01And I deserve this. Yeah. Exactly. It's, that's what it should be. But for me, I was like, not in a place. So it was a struggle to pay for it for years and years, but I, I paid it off two years ago now. And I'll tell you this driving forever. Now, while until it, until it drops, but it's been a, it's been a nothing but a reliable car. It makes this fall. And that's, I had to put new tires on, but outside of that, I really haven't meant to put too much into it. So, I mean, it's worked out for me. I, I, I'm not like a car guy. You know, I, I just want something that's, I went and literally looked up what is the most reliable vehicle. Oh, Toyota Corolla Bam. That's the decision. Yeah. And you're already one of Canada's best drivers. Yes. I, I want to contest. Yeah. No, I, I just got the 2016 to be with my dad took a macular condition of it. That's why I bought it. He couldn't sell it. And it's 2006. And I bought it off. Isn't it crazy that that is now a 20 year old vehicle? It isn't like, can you say those words? And because when I look at it, I think, well, this is a 40 year old vehicle. And it's only 20. Yeah. The flip side of that is like 2006 isn't that old.

3:02Like, can I talk about it? And people look at it and they're like, man, I cannot go to wash method. I promise you where I'm not waiting for it to come through where somebody goes, is that your Buick? Is that your rendezvous? I'm like, yeah, and I go, it is in, like older guys, right? Car guys in there. That is an amazing condition. And I go, I know there's no rust, nothing, but the only thing with the 2006 is the gauges go off. Oh. So like, I've had low tire pressure since I bought it, and it's no, it's not my weight tire pressure. That's my wife's vehicle. Ah, I have traction control, but the traction control is fine. And then today it was the break, but the break beep wouldn't go off and pour a little big man on the way to school is like, can you turn that off? My ears. And I'm like, I can't. I'm sorry. Pulled over twice. There's nothing wrong with it. So I had to take it in and then in typical old vehicle fashion, pulling in to okay tire on St. Anne's, which they're great, they call these like, yeah, pop it in. I'll have a look pulling in. It goes off. Yeah. Of course. On for 48 minutes.

4:02And then the 49th minute as I'm pulling in, it goes off. Ah, really? But I need an oil change anyway, so it will still be working. I can really do a better job of finding that out. Do you ever get mad when whatever's wrongs isn't wrong anymore? Yeah. Just because you just called. It's outrageous. Drop kids off, rushed in, got some other stuff. So you don't, you're not leaving an alert after work and then you pull it in. It's like, well, we can look at it, Jim. I mean, we can do some tests. I'm going to have to charge you to look at it. I don't even know what that is. It's probably just the gauge, but no, there's something. Anyway, long story short, I'm here. I made it. Let's go. Enough what we're talking about right life and vehicles is that's just the way it is. So the jets right now, the trajectory stays the same. And I know that LA was able to win. They got two points yesterday, which is not good for the Winnipeg jets and makes things just that much more difficult for them. We're still sitting around a 15% chance that making the playoffs. Right. Once everything is said and done, I know it's been a really great week and they've climbed a lot, but there's still some heavy challenges aside.

5:03It's like, if you're in a journey to lose weight and you want to lose 100 pounds, those first 25, 35 pounds, they come off real easy. Yeah. But it's in when you get down to those final 10 and then last 20, then it starts to become a struggle, right? That's sort of where the jets are at right now. Where are they? Okay. Let's say they finish two points out of the playoffs or two points in the playoffs and have to face Colorado. Where are the where are the Winnipeg jets really? Well, that's the thing, right? So if they finish in the playoffs, there'll probably be the last team that gets it. So that means they're picking like probably 15th, 14th, something like that. If they keep going where they're going where I honestly look into the schedule, I don't think they're going to get in, but I don't think they're going to lose 15 games that are remaining 20. I think they're probably going to win an 11 or 12 of them. Go to overtime.

6:04It's six to eight of them in a balance though. You mentioned that yesterday on the show, it's like game against Vegas at home and then there's the three coming up against Colorado. Yeah, the three and four. That's the season. And I sweep those. I don't know. And you can get, I think you could get one of those off Colorado, but it wouldn't surprise. What am I saying? The Colorado is so Colorado reminds you of the Orders in the 80s, where if they don't win the Stanley Cup this year, it's because of them. Yeah. They played poorly. They had some injuries come playoff time or some goalie played well and they didn't get a bounce or took bad penalties like when the Orders didn't win in the 80s, it wasn't because somebody beat them. It was because something had Steve Smith goal, whatever. But that being said, the concern here is, is from the last four or five years, nothing changes. And they need change. Right. Yeah, they do need change. It would do this organization wonders to get one of the top two picks. It would be organizational changing for the Jets, just like it will be for the connox

7:07if they get McKenna or the Swedish player. But you could bring in one of the top three picks predicted this year and they would play in your lineup next year. They would make it on this jet roster, making an immediate impact. They would be on the team. And then when you have in your, you know, your Brad Lambert's, the trade you made with Buffalo, and then you go sign one or two guys in the off season, or you move one or two guys for something, you could fix this real quick. But the real quick aspect of the longevity of that would be one of those top three picks. If they miss the playoffs by three or four points, if they finish 9th or 10th, and you said this over a month ago, the worst thing they could do is go on and run and finish 9th or 10th, because then I think it's literally the most likely scenario now at this point. So where do they historically pick between 12 and 23, right? And so they'll be picking between 12 and 23 again. And the player will probably not make the roster next year. So fair enough. But a mechanic could come in or that Swedish kicker could come in and literally, you know,

8:09put up 30, 40 points. And what team could use 30 or 40 points more than the jets? And that would just be done for you, I believe. And then you go and do what you have to do. The concern of as happy as some fans might be and the team would be with this right now is, I think there's people in the organization that even realize this. They're never going to sit down with their team and go, okay, well, for this game, we're sitting marked shyfully, we think he needs a rest and calling up Jill and I can point in a minute. Yeah. You're always going to dress your best line. If you're always going to go for it. But as this continues into tonight's game against Anaheim, it just dawned on me that nothing changes where they've picked for the last six or seven years will be where they pick again. Yeah. Yeah. You almost, you almost, it all depends on where things are going to, are going to finalize and maybe they'll win the draft lottery for I buy a fraction and move up. I can only move up how many spots, 10, something like that.

9:10Yeah. You can only fall two, I think, or three. Yeah. Some of the other months on the show and a listener reached out, I forget, but you can, you can no longer fall like more than two or three and you can, but you can climb, I think, 10. Yeah. Maximum of 10 spots. Yeah. So even if they would finish 14th or something like that, I mean, they'd still give, if they finish 10th, worse than the league, they'd still leave themselves open for a chance at, at a top fourth. But as we just discussed, the top three picks, McKenna, the Swedish, keep forward. I mean, if we're talking about, could all play for you next year, but I, if we're talking about the next couple of years and this core of players, it's probably the best that they try and push as much as they can to make the postseason and end up against Colorado and see what happens for the guys that are on the team right now and for the coaching staff. That's the best, the best option for them for the best option. I think for the future of this organization and 10 years from now, not two years from

10:13now, not three years from now, but 10 years from now is for this season to, to have essentially fallen off the rails and it gives themselves a really great option at one of those picks. Yeah. And then still have, it's not like you're in a situation like Vancouver where you're trading off your entire core and you don't have something strong to lean back on. It was kind of like if it's almost a missed opportunity, if they're able to pull this together because you still have Connor Halibut, you still have Kyle Connor, you still have Josh Morris, you still have Adam Lowry, you still have Mark Schifley, regardless if this season is a total tire fire, which it was up until, until recently. And that's the point, Cam, like this isn't a disaster, like so many fans have told me it is at all. If you have this core, look at how the top six stays together, right? So make a trade of the Buffalo two new players come in there in the bottom six. If you can add a mechanic to that, or the Swedish forward to that top six, you don't

11:14need to fix as much like that second line, whether it's a center or a wing or just needs a dynamic talent. Well, you also, you also, if you, you, you kind of smooth out the future of the organization as well. Well, that's, that's the point. And that's the reality of it. Patrick Lining, a 2.0 and you can say what you want about Patrick Lining, not lasting seven, nine, 11 years here. But look at the impact when he got here, they went to the Western conference final with and because of Patrick Lining was a big part of that. You're totally right. And I also think that it's been proven over the years now that I had a lot more to do with Patrick Lining than I had to do with the Winnipeg James. Well, yeah, but my, my point is is even though when he was gone, yeah, that second overall dynamic player still had a massive impact on the organization, whether it was here, whether it wasn't. He came in here and helped get them to the Western conference final. He allowed them to do some other things with the rosters because you're right side with Blake Wheeler and Patrick Lining were sat. Yeah. Then when he did have to go, he brought in a team changing second line center for two years

12:16who put up 60 plus points. And then when that player had to go, they brought in, yeah, player Gabriel Valardi who's on your top line right now, Alex, I follow who's the sweet of charming nice. And Rasmus Cooper who's no longer here. But my point is that second overall pick all those years ago is still paying dividends for the organization. Yeah. That's 10 years later. That's a good point. That's Valardi and I, I follow. So it just, you don't want them to do it. But it would be organizational changing if they could finish bottom three and it doesn't look like they're here.
