If it isn't the guy who said that the bombers are gonna destroy the Rough Riders in Regina, and there's nothing that the Rough Riders are gonna do about it and they're gonna enjoy their crappy pizza after and look at you now. What's not gonna talk about the pizza? I know. Like pizza's good, if it's good, you go, hey, hey, hey, that's good pizza. You don't go, oh, let's talk all about the pizza. That pies too thick. That pies way too thick. What is the, I had a Houston's pizza in Regina once, but it was the meat lovers and it was too much. You know, all meat lovers can be too much. Oh, yeah. It's kind of like I had a buddy at Subwit buddy. What am I saying? Back in my college days, there was a guy who worked at Subway and we called him our buddy or Mr. Sub, sorry. And we go in at 3 a.m. obviously. And say, can we get any would go? Because I was nice, right? And if there's other drunk people throwing onions and stuff, I'd be like, hey, settle down. Yeah, I know that. I'll give you a little lecture.

1:00Like here. Cause he just, like, he's literally, here's your sub on dead inside. Cause it's like the midnight shift, right? And it's after the bar. And then, but there, I mean, always like this is awesome. I just thought of as like connected, right? Like I had a connection. Keep your toppings in the sock. My buddy would be like, oh, a connection. The guy, the guy, you know what, you keep him alive basically, you get murdered probably or something. Anyway. Toss a couple more cold. My buddy cuts on there. My buddy would always like challenge the drunkest guy to go. You got to order with your pants or under ankles. And you'd be like, what? And of course, and I'd be like, hey, pull up your pants. And they would pull up the pants. And he'd be like, thanks, man. And so then he would like, I get them, whatever. My point to this is he would just pour on the meat. Like I would get a club or something. Yeah. He would like extra turkey, extra ham. And I would just, oh, it's delicious. And I'd get up the next day to eat the other half. And I'm like, this is absolutely disgusting.

2:01Too much. Way too much meat on this. No, way too much. That's like the Regina style. Like I don't mind loading it up, but you have like a clear layer of meat separating the cheese and sauce. I'm good. And then that's what the one I had at Houston, the meat lovers, I'm like, this is, this is like, it literally was like having a steak on top of a sausage on top of a slab of ham. But this is too much. It's way too much. But they won the Labor Day Classic. Yeah. Wow. I even saw, yeah, I saw the post game. It wasn't really good game. I actually, my tea, I was at my parents' cabin. The TV signal cut out with 14 seconds off in the fourth quarter. Yeah. And I was devastated. I was like, I'm like checking the score. Just be like, what's happening? What's happening? So I'm like Thomas, it's bedtime. It's you got to be asleep by eight. You got school this week. And mom was out doing something. And he's like, can I just watch till the end? I'm like, no, go to bed. I was like, OK. So then it goes to the one thing, it goes, dad, can I just, yeah,

3:03OK, you can watch you over time. But here's the thing. What I loved about it was they tied it obviously. And that singer guy's got to be in the line up. Now that being said, it's interesting because everybody said, do you not go for two on the road? And I'm that kind of guy, right? Like I'm like, you know what? If I lose this game in over time, I'd be more happy if I lost that going for two and just death punch coming back home. Oh, yeah. But this is the issue. You go to over time. They miss the two point conversion. And that's why you don't go for it for two. You always want a chance, right? And by going for two often, you take away your chance because of either when or you lose. So then they gave himself a chance. So the way it played out, I didn't mind it. Because I mean, but then the reverse of going for it if for two, if your Michael Shay was Saskatchewan going for two and they didn't get it. Yeah, it will totally have it then the bombers. I mean, it worked out, but you get what I'm saying.

4:03Yeah, like two opportunities co for two. One wasn't taken in an extend to the game. One was and they won the game, but yet not on that play. Well, and the referee has tried to go for two earlier in the fourth quarter to make it a two possession game. And then they don't. And then that's how the the bombers are able to tie it up. And so I don't mind the whole, but I wonder if you go for two and you win it. And I mean, it's easy now because they lost. Oh, yeah. So you're like, oh, rather you went for two and lose it that way. But I like the idea of a DT is big on this. Like he hates the one point convert. He thinks that two point conversions are way more, and he runs the numbers and percentages. But I'm like in Regina, Labor Day Classic tied at the end of the game, no time left on the clock. You get that two point convert and you own them. Oh, yeah. Another banjable. Absolutely. But then the bombers just decided to not deal with any of the riders pressure on that last drive. And like, oh, well, well, you know, but valid point. And then some poor decisions were made.

5:03Very poor decisions. But I love the way that, you know, and the riders had success at the Blitz all game. And I love how in overtime they just kept coming with it. Like it just like this is what works. So anyway, good game. It was a classic, I thought. Yeah. I was 48, 47 shoot out classic, but it was a very good. There was a lot of mistakes made, but I like it was a classic. There's nothing better than getting through kind of a bit of a slog of a football game and then the finished being elite. And as far as the bombers, I was leaving the field and getting the booze and all that. I would have said, you people in your pizza, how do you know? Go back, go back to your homes and enjoy the pizza. Too much meat. Enough. Enough's enough. Can you imagine? You suck bombers. Oh, yeah, well, it's too much meat. Yeah. But we got some news today, Jim, in the NHL. The Bruins have signed Young Forward Frazier, Minton to a seven year, seven point to AAV extension that kicks in in 2027, 28. A lot of money for a guy who just finished under 40 points this past season at 38 points.

6:05Young guy, the Bruins got him in the brand and car low trade. And I'm sure the leaves are looking back at that one going, oh, boy, we missed one. That was a tough one. That was a tough one. That's probably why Brad Trilibby doesn't have a job anymore. But that's neither you or there. Oh boy, it's missed that one. He sounded like the Boston sign fell Kroger. He's like, Kroger, it's Kroger. He's always like, what are we doing today? I don't know. We'll see. Wow, we messed that up. We have very bad PR over that decision. Well, we messed that up. We'll get him next time. I'm going to get him in the car. I'm going to get him in the car. We'll get him next time. But this is kind of going the way that the Jets have done contracts over the last little bit with a guy like Josh Morris. He's signing the big contract. Even though Frazier Minton's only played one year in the NHL, like I mentioned, he has just under 40 points in his first season. But it's a bit of a gamble and assuming that the player is going to continue to progress and with the rising cap. Here's why I like it. The young player at 40 points, even if that turns into 60 per year, the $7 million is

7:10today's five. Yeah. So the hope is it comes to 60 this year, but if not this year by next year. And then you have five years left of that 60 die. The remaining 60 are get higher. And so that's how I like the deal. The reason the Bruins do it is because they're like, you know, like you think he'd be a third line center and 40 to 50 points, the Bruins feel he'll be more. And if he is, this will be a bargain. Yeah. But the reason I like it, Tyson, is because even if in three years from now, it's still 40, 45 points, that's $7 million will probably be, you know, close. I think it's like Adam Lowry at that age. Yeah. And if Adam Lowry was making three and now he's making five that he's older, that's kind of the three to five million third line center range. And then if he's more than that, that's why I like it for both the Bruins. Now the reason I like it, I was going to say both sides. The reason I like it for him is, and I don't know if Josh would remember this, but I remember he had the two year bridge deal, I think it was 3.4.

8:10And going in the second year of that is when he signed the six million per season, I think it was 50 or 48 million or whatever. And I remember talking to him, like, can I just like, you know, delve into this a bit and everybody's different. Everybody's family, so to personal what this. And I said, you literally could have signed another two or one year bridge and then gone for it. And he's like, yeah, but I like it here. I like being this close to Calgary. I love the Jets organization. And he goes, at the end of the day, what I think a lot of people miss is at the end of the day, it's 50 million dollars. And I thought, you know what, that is often lost in how we throw around these numbers, right? Tell a nine year old player right now that eventually he's going to make a 50 million dollar contract. And by the time you're 18, that nine year old player probably won't care if he could wait two years and make 70 million. At the end of the day, there's a number, right? And I think that because these athletes all, and we all as fans and media think that they're

9:10just going to play forever, right? We don't talk about the guy who was supposed to be a sure shot, make 90 million dollars and he walked away after six years with four and a half. So I just, I like it for Mitt because at the end of the day, he's not going to be 30. I don't think by the time it's 29, at the time it's only nine going in an unrestricted free agency. He's got 50 million dollars in his pocket and he could be an 80 point guy, a 60 point guy, a 50 point guy, but he's still got another deal coming. But at the end of it, if health rise and everything goes well, he's got 50 million dollars. Yeah. And I think we often overthink that like we see the celebrities and we see the Kail Maccars and we see all this, but yet we never really think about there is that threshold of look, I've made five or eight million dollars, but in today's economy. Oh, yeah. And this is especially in this economy. But to sit down and go, you know what? What was my goal? My goal is to make the NHL and most players will tell you the money is this secondary.

10:10The goal is to make the NHL and have a chance to understand the cup. A close one B is the money. Yeah. And to play for a long time. But I always think back to that quote because even my 14 year old and I was leaving today, I got him out of bed and I'm like, okay, I'm leaving. You're going to watch your brother. Be home this afternoon. And he's like, did you see about Mitt and then I said, yeah, he goes, so he set for life. And I'd made the joke to well, this economy, but it's great kids. You know, but then I'm like, yeah, no, he is. Um, he can just worry about hockey now and there's another contract probably coming. And then I just driving here to do this. I remember the Josh Morris. He like, you know, yeah, there's this. There's that. I could get more. Could I get less? Do I hope I have another contract? I never know if I'm going to play how long at the end of the day. It's 50 million dollars. And also, how much is a guy who's even if he is a 55 point player? How much is that guy going to be making it seven years? Right? Like there are a ton right now of 70 point players, their whole career is that have never made 50 million dollars.
