PlaySchool celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years on air with nearly 2,700 episodes, making it one of the longest-running children's television shows in the world. The show's iconic toys including Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty, Jemima and newcomer Kaya have remained central to the programme's educational approach of schooling through play. Each episode takes approximately six months from concept to air, with around 50 episodes produced annually across six seasons, incorporating essential components like craft, storytelling, songs and books designed by early childhood educators.
