Well, tomorrow we're all going to be out at Pit Masters and Porers. It's a big event. It's actually a free event, too. They're not charging. It's a free attendant. All kinds of great stuff happening. A live music, now let me Bradshaw and the comms are performing Thompson Squares,

performing. There's going to be college football on the big screen. You're going to have beer, bacon, barbecue, bourbon. That's going to be awesome. And MWO wrestling will be happening. There are five matches that are going on. Amber Nova will defend her title, belt. Um, uh, I'll see good to see them. Amber's in trouble. Yeah, I'm going to talk to you about that a minute. Onix, the one with tuna tam will defend their, his belt, uh, poppy D is wrestling. Uh, and then Angel and I are going to bring you all the action. We are your MWO announced team thanks to Mills Air. So that's all happening. Uh, bell times at four o'clock. This event starts at three o'clock. And I will be in a tent of real radio tent for the Carla K cancer screening fund. If you want to come help us, uh, you know, uh, we're going to be raising money trying to get as much money as possible so we can get people's, uh, cancer screenings. And we are auctioning off the belt that is behind Amber that's been signed by the champions who have, have had it, uh, Teal Piper, Hollywood, Haley J, Amber Nova has all signed it. Yeah, we all signed this in Las Vegas actually.

That Russell con, WrestleMania weekend. Yeah, so all there. Winter lows. I'm auctioning off your belt and you still don't have a belt. We'll talk about that in a second. Uh, Ryan, who has the floor, uh, Artoro. Artoro has the floor. Artoro. Artoro. Art, you can call art for short. Art's got the floor. And you know, he's, you know what else is considered art angel? Flooring, beautiful, beautiful flooring that the Coria core flooring. They did my mom's place. And took out of the carpet, replaced it with this like beautiful gray laminate wood flooring. And it looks fantastic. And the installers were so nice. Our, it's because Coria always works with the same installers. And they treat you so well. Uh, and monster listeners right now you get 10 percent off all flooring and, uh, installations starting at just one dollar per square foot. That's a great deal. It's on top of the best price guarantee. So check them out online at core flooringfl.com. And now art, you have the floor. What up, Art? How you doing, buddy? Good morning, monsters. How long have you been listening to the show, Art?

Uh, since 2006, long time. We appreciate that. Uh, thank you so very much. Uh, what do you do for 11? So I work in finance. Okay. Here, you know, here in central Florida. So, yeah, so I imagine if you work in finance, if you're working with money, you're making money. That's what I always think. If you want to make money, you got to work with money. Is that accurate? You might work around a lot of money. Doesn't mean you necessarily have a lot of money. Gotcha. Gotcha. Okay. All right. So I'm wrong. Three kids, you know, it goes fast. You got three kids. Okay. And you're taking them to school right now. I know. I just dropped her off my, my oldest. Okay. Did she know the answer to the trivia question? Did she, uh, blood? Thank God. Thank God she did not know. If she just said, if she said, Micheloblite on the left. Um, so what would you, uh, what would you like to plug and promote and tell us about? Yeah. So I grew up over in St. Petersburg and my middle brother, he has a fishing charter over there and also a food truck. Oh, fishing charter is, uh, is a Spanish-star-deemed fishing. Okay.

His food truck is the happy snapper food truck. So the happy snapper food truck.com. And then, I think the Spanish-star-deen is Spanish-star-deemed fishing or Spanish-star-deemed charters or something like that, uh, dot com. But yeah, he's a hard worker. Uh, he's got a lot of kids himself. And, uh, he loves taking families out on their charters and his charters and, uh, putting kids on their first fish, you know, it's, it's, he lives the dream. So yeah. How many times have you gone fishing with, with your brother? Oh, man, uh, back in my high school days, we used to do a lot of uh, southern kingfish tournaments. Okay. Okay. Um, so yeah, no, we grew up fishing, boating, you know, all the fun stuff. So very fortunate. Well, he's living in the right, he's living in the right part of Florida to do that. That's, uh, that's pretty cool. And so he's got a charter boat. How big is his boat? It's, uh, I wouldn't say it's like, uh, mid-twenty's almost 30 footers, but it's more of a flat. Cause he, back in the day, we used to do a lot of offshore. And, uh, after, you know, after many years, it just beat up your back, right? And so now he does mostly insure. Okay. And, uh, and so he's got, uh,

I forget the boat. It's a big boat, but it's flat on the bottom. Yeah. Ryan just, Ryan just pulled the, the website up and we got to see his boat there. It's, uh, it's very nice. Cool. Well, he put it up so everyone on our YouTube channel can see it, uh, and he gives him a nice little spot, little commercial. And, uh, that's awesome. But we'll listen. Uh, thank you so much for listening as long as you have been. We appreciate it. And, uh, and you have a great, uh, great weekend. Okay. You two, and I can't wait to see that new belt. The Saturday, I'm down door. I heard lots of great things. Yeah. I mean, there's a good chance it could turn up, you know, you think? with us. Oh my God. You don't even die. I think I'm going to get strangled like Bart Simpson and Homer right now. Well, here's the thing. If you hadn't had, you just bugged it to Jesus. I mean, yeah, about the belt. And I can, I finally gave in. And then you're like, little B here in four weeks. And that was five months ago. Five months, four, five months ago. That's three, four months. That's not exaggerate boys. And yeah, you gave me that. It's been five months. This is nine 11 was today. It was September the 11th. It was way back. May 26th is the

receipt he sent me. Either, either May, June, July, August, September, four months, five, it's five months, five months. Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's still, it's not here for your match. And I, and I already promised that I was going to auction. I told the, the board for the Carla K can't just reading fun that listen, I have a fun raising the idea, you know, because I had to pay for the or belt. So I'm like, I'll take the other belt and I'll donate it to the Carla K can't scream. He's pretty fun. He's going to die because you're responsible. And so I don't say stuff. I'm auctioning off on Saturday come hell or high water. And you're not going to have a belt. And if, and if, uh, Zanty Lee wins, I got to explain this to her that, hey, listen, I got another belt on the way. Like, you know, she wins the belt. Yeah. Uh, this is very mentally distracting for me. I won't lie. And while we don't want to mentally stress you out my goodness. Yeah. Whether I win or lose, but obviously when my match, I will, I guess end up being no championship belt Nova. And, and who's fault will it be? So me for picking the wrong guy to make this

champion. So you're not going to blame me. I'm not going to be the A hole, right? No, not by any means. It's not, you know, it's not my fault that I chose a championship belt guy that I've gotten one in the past done by. And this time you didn't come through for me. So I should have chose somebody else. So you're not going to be mad at me. No, I'm not mad at you. I know that we're auctioning this off for the Carly K can. You bought a couple wrestling belts, right? Yeah. That one right there. How long that one take? It took about three weeks. Okay. That beautiful. The one that I'm W. Well men's belt. How long that one take three weeks? Okay. Yeah. The one I got on this one. This new one is going to razzle you guys. It is going to be the only one that wanted the new one was who? Oh, we both agree. No, no, no, no, no, no. We did not both agree. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You wanted your, your entire online logo. Do not lie. I also agreed that this one was gigantic. I did not agree to any of that. You just you just bothered the hell out of me until I said, fine. Leave me alone. So then everyone learned a valuable

lesson today. Okay. What did we learn? If you pest or enough, you get your way. I would like to speak to the audience directly because the audience seems to think we're very hard on Amber Nova lately. And then like this is like we're being so mean. This is what we're doing all the time. And when you deal with it day in day out, it becomes frustrating. I'm not being mean. I'm just saying, listen, this is what we said. And this is what I'm going to do. So Saturday, I'm auctioning that off. You're not going to have a wrestling belt. Am I? Well, well, I mean, the one you ordered say job to be able to at least hold it up. Yes, yes, to announce that it is a title match. Yes, what I'm saying, no, it's not the bell. I'm going to have it. I'm going to have it in the real radio tent beforehand. And then when I go with angel to do the announcing, I'm going to bring it with me. And then when you're about to walk into the ring, I'm going to hand it to you so you can take it into the ring and it'll look good. And then I'm taking it right back from you. Right. People know it is a champion. But that's only like if if if if why are you guys being so

trashy with your belt? If Zanty Lee wins, she gets to take pictures with it and stuff. And then Zanely, that's who she's wrestling. Zanely right there. As a board member of the Carla K cancer screening fund, this is very frustrating. I am a board member. I did just the fact that like, we need to get people scanned. People are still getting hard to season cancer. Amber and we don't got a belt to give them to auction away and keep it going. Yeah. Right, right, right. So anyway, you know what you know what's happening on Saturday. Yes. Okay. Good. All right. We got to take a little break. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the March of the morning. Hey everyone. It's the Jonas Brothers with the Hey Jonas podcast. We've been catching up with some great friends Paul Rod, Michael Boublay, Seth Meyers, Nile Horan, Jake Shane, and making some new friends while getting into what's really like to have sisters like Alex National. She likes to control everyone and tell everyone to do that. Okay, well control is a harsh word. I would say that's a harsh word. I am more outspoken. Growing up a lot of the times because she was so quiet, I would speak for like the both of us. Now I'm working on like thinking a mom. It's really not good taking before I speak.

And Joey King. You know if your like mom is yelling at your sibling and even if you're annoyed with your sibling, you just like won't let that slide. It's like you only can yell at your sibling. I'm like, you can't do that here. That is not what I want about her like that. What are you talking about? Plus we've been taking your calls, listening to your voice mails and giving advice or at least trying to. So if you've got catching up to do now is the perfect time. Listen to Hey Jonas on the iHeartReadyWap Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Beniero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meaning people and they were like,

you smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartReadyWap Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Thousand Paper Cranes by Audra McDonald at the Wonderland Bookstore 14. That's crazy I went to the Wonderland Bookstore yesterday and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Dark 30. No way! Patrick of the last bookstore though Kim Kutroll is reading the guitar tabs of yesterday! A panel of Eurovision participants. And we do a little Halloween sometimes. Does the Pope dress up? He winks on Halloween. It's right up next to the microphone. You get the eye here you get the elbows here the eyelashes hate each other. You never seen it least so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween. Listen to artists on artists on artists on artists on the iHeard Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. By Aja Ravon or so at least 70% have a fault. Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in. I'm Dr. Joy and this is Therapy for Black Girls. We spent real time on it in our surviving middle school run. Bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's raising two black girls of his own to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now. So it's literally

physiological and neurological and psychological chaos happening all this thing. We got into group chats and gaming, friendship and bullying and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that a road's trust. You can think of belonging as I can be myself and I can still be accepted and then they're fitting in. Spitting in says I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection. Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers. Sitting down with therapist Kiergain's on black fatherhood and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage. You don't have more shorts so you can't do flips. You have one to dress up across your legs. That's the range of this run from screen time to identity to the fathers doing the work at home. How to get off her device. But the reality is there's a lot of life out there that we don't want you as your adults in their life to miss out on. This has been our surviving middle school run. Brought to you by the people who spend their careers thinking about exactly this. I'm Dr. Joy. Listen to Therapy for Black Girls on the iHeartReneo app, Apple podcast or wherever

you get your plan. Self-care September is here which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means. Yes, self-care can be a long walk. It can be an everything shower. It can be putting your phone on do not disturb. But sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff and understanding your patterns, your boundaries. Finally figuring out why you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again. I'm Gemma Speg, the host of the psychology of your 20s podcast. And each week we unpack this psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s from relationships and friendships to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment, just becoming more comfortable with who you are. Unlike the quarter life crisis which is depicted as the collapse, the quarter life reinvention is the expansion and growth of something. When we develop the ability to be happy by ourselves, nobody else can take that from you. So this self-care September, don't just take care of yourself. Get to know yourself as well. Listen to the psychology of your 20s on the iHot Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

We're going to debut some new music and give away some vinyl. Oh, that's right. You're doing the vinyl thing. Yeah, who's your sponsor? The very family Ryan record. So I got some pieces of vinyl that will be given away. I said we'll probably give the vinyl away during the show. And then I got a really cool box set that I get to figure out a cool way to give away. Okay, very good. Welcome back. I'm Russ with Angel and Ryan Amber Nova Savannah here today. And we have a special guest from the funny bone Tony Roberts' and you were here with us like one year ago. I take my shirt off. Let my nipples out. If you want to do, I'm gonna sexy. Yeah, yeah. There's some headphones for it. It's been about a year since we saw your last. About a year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How you been? You know what? You look almost the same. You know, I'm saying, because my wife keeps slapping stuff out my hand. I can't eat nothing I'm on diets. I don't want to be on. Oh really? Yeah, she got me in the gym and I lost about 15 pounds. Oh wow. I'm looking for it though. I'm gonna get it back. You look good. Do you like the

gym? Yeah, I started going recently. I make myself go. I have a trainer to kind of forces me to go. I just don't like the gym is where your best conversation come in with who? With anybody. I don't talk to anybody. It's not the reason I left this way. How you doing? I mean, you know, it's going to rain tomorrow. You saw getting the both y'all got to waiting your hand and doing nothing. Just keep talking. That's what the gym is. Gym is the social life. See, you get a trainer. He don't let you do that. He makes you make you work out and all that stuff. You got a way your clothes tighter. So you know, you feel like you look slow. That's true. You can't wear too tight if you're built funny. Right. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I got one of those. One of the second trimester or something. I know. I know you're not you're not shocking me. I know that. I'm here. I go on a shirt. You can't see me that much. It's under here though. I got one of those compression, compression shirts. You know, I usually wear that. I don't make you feel like you're tightened up. But when I wear a bigger shirt over it, yeah, I did a bigger tank top. Yeah. So did your wife get you back into the gym? Oh, yeah. Man, you can't be in there. Live in my family and don't why why why she make you get

back in there? She's leaving looking good. She told you you got to look at him. About health. She don't want to look like my wife is like fit fit. Oh, is she? Yeah. Yeah. She's like 14 years younger than me. I got to keep up with her. How long have you been with her? 20 years. Oh, wow. No matter. She had Filipino. Okay. I never met a Filipino before. I'm from Detroit. We got black people and white people. No matter what I thought she was Chinese. She cost me a high Chinese. I'm full. I said, look, rice is rice. Where did you meet her at? Like, where did you come across? I need a show in Sacramento. Wow. The first time I've been there. Okay. I moved to LA. Somebody took me to Sacramento. Did a show at the theater and she was there. And somebody introduced me to her. Yeah. I saw a visitor. I always wanted to move in a small town. I took my agent like a week before that. Someone living North Carolina with like two trees. Cause, you know, somewhere a small town. I want to be not a black guy there. I want to be the black guy. The black guy. Yeah. I met her. So I visited Sacramento. It's real small. Nothing there. So I'm the big fish in the small

pond. So before you met her, did you always have no problem like dating the people in the audience? Was that like, no, I was a women's pit. The miss three. So another row, another row with it. Do a lot of comics do that right? And like, date, I know you haven't in a long time. You've been off the dating. But do a lot of comics do date the audience? Chuckleleppers. Yeah. You can do that. The whole thing. I don't. I never have. And I'm married man. But yeah, you're married man. But like, I know a lot of people that do that. Yeah. Sure to varying. I've been my wife for about 11 years now. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah. You're synced in. Yeah. You're synced in. It's like a I never got to I never actually got to do that whole thing. Right? Because like when I started comedy, I pretty much wiped up very fast. Really? I never got to have my slutty comedy days. Yeah. I'm a slutty comedy day. I have drink too. I have been drinking a lot. I haven't drink. I haven't taken a drink. I haven't been high. 26 years. No. We drink what they just stop.

What you do. I just stopped. I told myself you looking. Oh, okay. You didn't hit it like I got you bags in my eyes. I was. Yeah. You didn't hit a rock bottom of something. Like, oh, well, I got a quick comedy. We and my friends up all night for two or three nights hanging out. We just we've rebels. Yeah. Now we owe. We don't let you don't look old. I just turned 63. No, well, okay. Right. Yeah. Let's say black. Don't crack. But it bands. My knee is killing me. And so you've been to then with your wife for 14 years. Oh, no, you're 14 years. 20 years. But you're 14 years. Kipped out babies like that. It was back to back. How many babies? You said three. Yeah. She had a 10 year old when I met her. Okay. We got three. We got three young ones. So did you have to learn about like about her culture and everything? No, no, I just fit. I'd be me. Yeah. And I go to the Philippines. Like I sound was playing in the PBA playing basketball over there. Okay. Because he got to sit in his shop through his mom. Oh. And I just you never know. My wife's like Filipino Puerto Rican. Okay. And then and that's just like she's a diva. Yeah. You

won't see my right there. Oh, beautiful. That's she is right there. Look at you. That's my role manager. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's she's doing her girl thing today. So she didn't come this week. Oh, she's really your manager to my role manager. How's my agent? She lives in Hollywood. She don't my producer live in in Atlanta. I'm Atlanta. Three women run my career in in his own fire. If you want some right. Fathers. Let me listen to me. Let a woman do it. Yeah. But you don't hate. I hear you. You don't hate them. Hate them. I can never work with my wife. You don't know up to your eyebrows. But they do stuff right. Yeah. My wife hangable in a church. She don't know. Jesus got more money. Isn't that. They mean all of my mean. And then all I got. This only fight I got you're not on the flyer. It comes to see me. You're not the boss of me. But they are. So her telling you to get back in the gym that she look at like a business thing or listen. Yeah. We want to sell tickets. You got to look better. You know. No. She don't care about women try to hit on me and not like that. She don't handle myself. But she just she encouraged me. You know, I'm like she like 14 15 years younger than me. Yeah. Yeah. She don't want me to get you know.

Fall out. Right. Because I was thick too. When I met her. Yeah. She's gonna put all that get out of that. You know, between the gym, the diet and the sex. I'm killing myself. How much heavier were you? I was up. I'm like 180 now. 170. And you were? 220. Oh, okay. Almost 230. I got you got a hand. Yeah. See that's how you know she loves you. Oh, yeah. No. Because if she loved you when you're big, she's gonna love you more. Yeah. That's good. I don't know how. So how do you pick like which city she's gonna go to? And which she didn't come to Orlando. So I don't. She pick it. Oh, she tells you she got some deal with her girlfriends. She ain't coming. Oh, okay. She don't like the city. And then nothing there. Huh? She goes to where she can shop. Well, there's a lot of stuff to do in Orlando. But she just she come every single time. Oh, okay. I brought my kids here. Okay. And my in-laws and they kids. Okay. I brought 10 people here. Like two, three years ago. Uh-huh. One of my guys that opened for me. The way it works at University of Ohio. Okay. Hold eight hours in Orlando in

University of Ohio. Yeah. It had to do two shows that night. We spent eight hours there for $200. Oh, yeah. The hookup. I love off the hookup. Yeah. My wife don't like the hookup. I live. She thinks they're legal. No, it's who you know. Right. Yeah. I can relate to the billboard around here. So yeah, he has a lot of pull. I'm a real relationship. In every city, I never paid for nothing fully. I go into theaters, get baseball game, football game. I got to hook up everywhere. Mine's we'll do it, right? Yeah. Yeah. Are you a frugal man? Yeah. I can't. Yeah. Yeah. I hang on to my money. I spend it though. What do you spend? Like what are you when you're gonna spend money? Because you see you see like frugal guy. I said hookup guy is a frugal guy. But what are you spending money on? I don't know. I don't know. Do you got kids? The line is going to what? You got kids, right? Three. Almost like a show. Kids are expensive. I can show you this. I wish you can pull this up online. Why? Yeah. You got a beautiful family photo. It was showing me on the way in. You got to shoot. You got to see that I'm a past. It's around my kids are that's that's my set. I

raised my kids in the 70s. Like my mom raised me right and it's a different era right now. Yeah. You can't smack your kid at school no more. I think it's smack to do it. You've been two two years and there but you smack a kid today. There was a paddle that hung up above my like principles doorway and elementary school. My gym teacher had that paddle. We're holes in it. Yeah. We in one block it. Oh wow. Oh wow. Look at that. You guys look like you guys look like a band. You know I got that pose from the sopranos. Oh that's amazing. That looks like a TV show. That was I said you you got a center like we chess pieces. Let me put this in. I love that. You see that. So you said you've raised them differently like from the seven do they have cell phones and stuff do you let them do they do that or or not my kids. Yeah. They like some youngers want a 17 now. Okay. So you got everything. I got all that. Yeah. Yeah. I'm almost done. Okay. You can't see you're and yeah after that we told everybody we move and you can't come back home. So are you

excited about having just you and your wife at home? Yes. Okay. Wait. We have three friends. A wife of friendship boy dog lover. We got three franches. We got one more son. We have mom live with us. You do a lot of cooking. I'm I got it made. How do you think the house is going to be different when all the kids are out of the house? I'm gutting it out. I'm making somebody room on office. We took one of our sons room. He left. He tried to come back. He said you got sleep somewhere else. You can't sleep in there. I had a closet world. Make my wife a host. The whole room is a closet. Okay. And she and she still got a pack in his clutter. Uh huh. And so what I do is I'm a neat freak. My wife's here. Clutterer. Okay. Yeah. So how do you deal with that? Because I'm like sort of a need for a way from her. I just walk past it. I just turn it. I just let her do her thing. Yeah. I'm a neat freak. Do I got to have everything in order. Yeah. I'm sort of that way too. Yeah. These wires bothering me. Yeah. I mean to. Yeah. I was just the other day. I was thinking I can build something to put over that side. I can't over that. I'm with you. A tarp. I know. I get it. I got everything in order. My shoes. What I realized is that

that's our problem. It's not everybody. Yeah. My wife a clutterer. She cluttered. She's a good girl. How is she with laundry? Clutterer. Just cluttered. Like she has throws it all in a pile. And she know I'm gonna do it. Uh huh. I do the laundry. I do everything. You know, I gotta be everything back together. It does sound to me like your wife runs the show. If I leave the house. When I get back home on Sunday night, Sunday afternoon, the house looked like somebody was looking for a secret disc and they ran face to ramps act the place. Yeah. Yeah. Like. Yeah. I'm trying to clean up. They try to clean up before I get home. Yeah. Cause I'll lose it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's how we live in. Are we homeless? Oh my god. Are you not into terrain? I mean, they know me. I live that life for so long of like having like the like the messy room and like you can hear you like you kind of hear the parents car coming down the road and just running to get everything like set up. I still live like that to this day. My wife's way more chill. But I'll hear her car pull up in the driveway. And I feel like I gotta be doing something.

I got to get it ready. Yeah. You know my mother about to be home when we were young. We had that place spot with my mother in play. Yeah. So I did 10 years in army. So I'm neat. I'm I'm I'm uniform. Right. I'm on time. Yeah. I'm early with everything. But my wife. My god. She can be late for a funeral. Yeah. We have to be more than at the funeral. She gonna jump out of a Uber dead. Yeah. And run back and climb into casket. But that's gotta be frustrating too. Because like comedians in general, most of them aren't like you. Like most of them are like late, messy people. So I mean, how do you deal with them? Uh-uh. Like I was out here for while waiting on your that's how I'm everywhere. I go. I'm there. So he's really ready to go. Oh yeah. I'm like Russian. I'm early. I get you. I get you. So what do you think about people? Like there's like a thing now like there where people people think that they should have a grace period always. Like being like that. Like that if you're 10 to 15 minutes late, it's not a big deal. What do you think about? Like would you hire somebody? I'm not gonna hang out with me. Yeah. Exactly. I'm not gonna be there with you. Exactly. I meet you there. And I hope things locked the door. Have you ever been

at the ever been to Japan? Yeah. Okay. So I learned this crazy thing about Japan. Like one of the most offensive things I would not make it in Japan. The most offensive thing you can do is be late. Like if you're if you like if you show Blake for whatever reason, they don't care about your excuse, whatever. It's super offensive and they never forgive you. Are you serious? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I never knew that. Yeah. So you'd be perfect in Japan. I as an 80 to 80 late person. I'm like I would ruin my time in Japan so quickly. Yeah. Don't you go to Japan? Don't hang out with me. Yeah. I gotta be on time. So if you don't stand up comedy all over the world everywhere. Really? Nigeria. Um all the bases to army bases in Japan. Yeah. Um. Oh army bases. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I'm rather down, Amsterdam, London, Nigeria, South Shell, a chic sent me found me on YouTube, gotten tough to my agent and sent me to say she was island. And everybody's that's everybody's bucket list. I never heard of. I never heard of either. It's a thousand miles outside of Kenya. Right in the middle of the ocean. Oh wow. And it's historical. Yeah. And a chic had me go there to

do a show in front of 30 people. It made me 20 grand for 30 minutes. Whoa. And we didn't have no idea where we was getting into. We didn't know we flew there. Yeah. We got there two days before. And just check this out. So the day of the show they gave us a sweet. Everybody know we was with the chic. They were treating it. We had like 11 maids. And my wife, we started had a ocean view right on the ocean. Right. We had one of those hotels you think was coming to America. And my wife would not leave the room. She was on the beach back in the room. So when they went to K-Made, they sent me in a golf cart. The guys took me to the room. It was a marbled room. They said, whatever you do, don't jump in the audience. So don't touch nobody. Just do your comedy. So I went in there and I was backstage and I'm peeking out there. I seen the chic. He's like 30 feet from me behind a sheer thing. He had to suit on like a regular suit with all the Abu Dhabi prints looking thing and heavy. Yeah. I look out there. I said, I was reading the piece of paper.

It's like a lot of nasty stuff going on. I said, what's this right here? He said, oh, that's the stuff they pulled this and that. He said, this is he's a freak. Yeah. He's not about that. But he can't do it in a home. So he owns that part of the sexual island. So they've been doing and he said, he's like women and men. And they in all the women look like the tourist secret models. Everybody in there like David Beckham and beautiful, some black people and they're black girls and what? 40 people in a marbled room. Yeah. I said, but I told I told my little sheet. He said, she said, he said, the nasty the jokes the better. I said, what? I got a whole tons of that. When I did just went nasty on and they was loving it and then it was hot. Took my jacket off. Three girls got on stairs. A little platform. Yeah. Pulled me in the audience. They told me to do the audience. And he said, I said, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. They took my shirt off. They said, take it off. And it was rubbing on me. Men and women touching me. I'm so scared. I let a rubble me.

She like, don't cut my head off. I said, that's not my fault. He's like this. Do it, do it. I'm like, all right. I'm like, I'm up and on it. But he put on me. I'm like, what the hell? And the dude grabbed me and put me back on stage and took me out the back and took me back to my room. So did you do 30 minutes exactly? I did like 20 something. Oh my gosh. I didn't know that over 20, but they did grab me for 20 grand. I was like, eight minutes of being rubbed on. I was dirt diggerler. I didn't do this to grab one more side. Yeah. I'll take my shirt off in a minute. I'm gonna rub him. Tony Roberts is here with this. Tony Roberts is going to be at the funny bone. He'll be at the funny bone tonight tomorrow night and Sunday or just two day. Just four shows. Just four shows. Okay. So get your tickets at the funny bone. We'll come back to tomorrow. All right. We'll come back with Tony Roberts. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the matchers the morning. Hey, hey, rather than the matchers, mornings, we're already on 104.1. Brock has a live and I heart radio. Amber Nova here today. Savannah Ryan and Angel and her special guest is Tony Roberts who's going to be at the funny bone tonight and tomorrow night. Second appearance. Nice of you to come back. Hey,

let me ask you this question. So I struggled with this at the biggie and they show this morning at six o'clock. It's like, well, today is the 25th anniversary of 9 11. But in you know, and so you need to talk about a little bit or whatever. But you know, is it half of our, a lot of our audience wasn't even born then they don't really remember that. So how do you joke? You're going to do comedy tonight. Well, will you will you bring it up? No, you don't mention it. I don't have time for it. So what's your thoughts on 9 11? I did not realize it gripped up on us like that. Yeah. 25 years. That's crazy. It's been 25 years. Crazy. Right. I'm living in New York. You're in the Mount Vernon. My mother called me and kept calling me and calling me and I asked her to phone. What's going to want? She said, look at TV. And I'm I'm flicking a TV and I see the building on fire. Yeah. So I kept I thought it was a movie. So I kept clipping looking. What do you want me to look at? The paintings in the building. Buh-bye-bye. The terrorists. I think I'm backed it up. I said, is that real? So I, uh,

me and my ex-wife, we jumped out, ran down. She cried. We found out they wanted. They looking for a stuffed donate and everything and, uh, hit me some help. So you're in the city where it has to be rolled down. And just when we've been when you leave and when you go into New York, when you get into Manhattan, you can see everything open up. Right. But you got past all these trees and then forest. Yeah. We get soon we passed. We quite almost seen the second plane hit. Oh, I said, that's we heard that we know you hear faint boom, but it was already in there. And, uh, I thought it was a movie. Yeah. I can believe it. I didn't want to go down further. Yeah. Oh, my ex-wife, she went and got a whole bunch of stuff and I packed this car for her. And then she went on the air style, giving out blankets, helping with the water and everything. Being there at the time, it seems surreal. Like when you look back now, probably see it. Like, it was bad. Yeah. It was like, like, even a week later, it was like haunted. You have to be there.

Yeah. It's crazy. Still it's got to it's got a stint smell to it. The smoke, the rebel, the rebel. Yeah. It was bad. Bad, bad. Yeah. So do you feel like you have a different connection to it because you were actually there? So did it. Yeah. Yeah. It's it's it's it's worse than you see on TV. Sure. It was worse. Yeah. It was worse. But even with that being said, here we are 25 years later, you don't feel like it's something you need to address or I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's what most of our most right. I asked the listeners this morning. They were texting in the most of them. Like, yeah, let's just have fun today. We don't want to talk about it. Yeah. I blog something about it. The anniversary. You did. I would. Oh, instead of just starting, I want to talk about it. Like yeah, yeah, yeah. Do do a lot with social media? Is that uh, no. Well, I got on. I'm getting on the more now than I used to. Yeah. I'm flying too old. I don't really care about the social media. Yeah. But my team does. They just be okay. We got this and need to say something. Need to do something. I'll send it to them. I'll go crazy online or something. Then bam, bam, bam. It's not me to do it by myself. Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of

other comics there. They get a podcast. You know, I got to have you thought about that. Is that something? Yeah. I've been told I need a podcast because I got a lot of stuff. I got a few people I wanted to be on it. Uh-huh. And then we just I just want to get a theme. I think the theme will fall in. Yeah. But online, like on podcasts or radio, whatever, I'm just gonna go, go, go, go, go. Yeah. So I think I'm a I gotta do that right away. With some other guys. I don't want to have to be there. Right. I can just do a split screen with two other guys. One from Detroit. They want to live in LA. Yeah. And then we're going to just go add it. Do you still live in Detroit? No. No, no. I live in Sacramento. Okay. Yeah. How's that? Small. It was simple. Yeah. Yeah. I saw I moved there. I moved there when I met my wife. Right. I'm so coming to visit. I said, this is what I'm going to live. If I hadn't lived there, I'll be somewhere in two, three North Carolina somewhere. I'm going to live in a cabin. I'm going to live with it. It's only like population 50 people. So she lived there and you moved there with her. Yeah. Okay.

Yeah. Yeah. She moved to the United States when she was four. Didn't know no English. Oh, okay. Now she got two degrees and we got a bunch of kids. Yeah. And she says she do her thing, man. She's oh my god. No way. Something else. We so different. I'm telling you. But we we compliment each other. Without without lack, she's a brilliant at it. Now back and forth. When you do your stand-up, do you use some of the, you know, obviously she's good with money. Well, I mean, do you use some of your relationship as 75% of my set? Your act. Okay. My family. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Because she's young. She don't get mad. No, she know it. Yeah. She's saying just once you say this. Okay. I said. Yeah. Yeah. She don't care. But everybody wants to meet her. Because I talk about her so much. Yeah. My kids. They want to, they see us online. Yeah. But when they see her, like I go out and take a picture of her, say, hey, somebody want to meet you. Bubba, blah. And they, they feel good. This year. This year. And she hates that. She hates the line. Like, oh, really? Period. But she doesn't mind you using her like your relationship as. No, she don't mind. I'll compliment her as I talk about her. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Angel question for

Tony Roberts. Tony, it's just curious because you can. I'm sexy man behind the guy. I appreciate that. I appreciate it. I knew it. Whereas a she-cam. Yeah. Yeah. You look fantastic yourself. I was curious. What your opinions were on this? You come from that old school. Right. Robin Harris, Bernie Mac, Martin Lawrence. Those guys are in that world of yours. When a comic, a fellow comic of your, that world, like, airy spears comes out and says, I don't get it. I don't understand why people still love Bernie Mac. I don't understand why, uh, why people think Martin Lawrence's sitcom was successful. How does that land on a gentleman like yourself? He's an idiot. That was a series. That was airy spears this week. Yeah. But you see, he's eyes. He was face of cigars. I think airy just tries to piss everybody off. Right? That's what he does. He does that. And he does very well. He is a professional troll. Yeah. And that's the, like, that's what he is. Yeah. That's the lane. But this is not the first time he's gone at Bernie. And sometimes it seems like he's going on.

And we see going at Bernie because he know we're right. Put the buttons to push. Right. He's going to do that on successful, very loved comics for a reason. Yeah. If you got somebody, you don't like, and he talked about them well, you know, nothing because you don't like them. Like, here's, yeah. Yeah. When you get to my, like, Bernie of Robin Harris or something like that. And you know, yeah. He's got an on purpose. He needs something to do. He's always been like that, right? Like ever since he comes in here once a year or whatever. And there's always some controversy with him, him saying something about somebody. That's his lane. He's the professional troll. But like, again, with this one specifically, this is not the first, second or third time he's had something negative to say about Bernie Mac. And so it's one of those things where he's the greatest ever. Man, he's, oh my god. The movie's not just to stand up the movie. Yeah. Yeah. But air spirits, when you said him, I knew he was going to say something about him. He's always like that. Man, you know, one time we did the show in Canada and he asked me, he's going,

I was going right before him and he asked me in another comic we talking. He said, Hey, y'all, I need y'all not to talk about this subject, this subject or that subject. No, first of all, you got your problem. That's not your problem. Your problem going to be following me. So if everybody knows, every comic in the country, you know, I'm doing my documentary now. And everybody I have somebody say something about me, whatever, I can put it in. The first thing they say, just the guy you don't want to follow. Yeah. They don't want to go behind me at all. So what did he say when you told him that? I told him, oh, he said, no, we need me. No, I'm going to do my thing. I say, I want you to. But you can't never put them on purpose. Yeah, of course. And he couldn't follow it at all. He can, I need try to tell the promoter. Is it happened a lot worker or comic say, he don't bring this up? There's a lot with that guy with that guy. Yeah. Him and know what? Who else? If you get some older comics, and they got younger comics with them, they'll say, hey, man, can y'all not talk about this subject because I'm and they respect it because they, my George Wallace, they could have to be on the show. Yeah. But you can't tell another veteran

what to do. Yeah. No, you can't tell it. That's weak. Yeah. A lot of them want to say that to you, but this week, they know that's weak. I'm surprised. I didn't know that was a thing for a time. That's a big hit. He don't talk about this. That's my, that mean you're afraid. Yeah. I mean, you came and go, if you talk, if you open it for me, and you don't even do comedy, but you get on stage, I'm talking about four subjects. I would do one of those subjects. I won't do the other subjects. I do want to say, yeah. So my man, we're just talking about this and this. That's my opinion on it. And bam, I do my way. Yeah, everybody's opinions are going to be different. Different. Yeah. Yeah. You might just re-integrate it. But tell them don't do it. That's crazy. That's crazy. You're a coward. That had to piss you off. You're a coward. Yeah. Yeah. I hate. We're talking about this on the way from the airport. Man, in fact, I just jumped on the red eye. You talking about sleepy. Oh, I'm done. I'm gonna hold you up on my thumb and my mouth like a kid. Well, listen, we appreciate you stopping by. Once again, Tony Roberts. He's going to be at the funny bone tonight.
