On Thursday the Missouri Supreme Court unanimously blocked new congressional districts back by President Donald Trump from being used in the November election. The Republican majority court also ordering a statewide vote on whether to uphold or reject the new map. On the decision Thursday marking a setback for Republicans in a national redistricting battle.

2:10Republicans at home Missouri's new congressional boundaries would help him win one additional seat and hold on to their slim majority in the US House during the midterms. Missouri's new districts were used during the August primaries, but the state Supreme Court has said they cannot be used in the November general election or ever again. That is until voters first uphold the new district passed by the Republican legislature. I'm Mike Landis and the Ozarks first.com digital newsroom in Springfield. 3:11Alex Carraker. Good morning. How are you doing, man? Good. It's great to see you. Yeah, and I see you guys. I always love just getting the latest and greatest little tidbits and little what I almost consider hacks. If you will, then it comes to home purchasing or refinancing. What is it today? So one of the things that I've kind of been shifting my mindset around just with new information coming out and everything. So a couple different bureaus, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Mortgage Banker Association, stuff like that. They're all forecasting over the next couple of years. Interest rates are probably going to stay the same. We're probably going to be sitting around mid sixes, high sixes. It could go up into the sevens again, depending on inflation. That's the main thing that's really hurting us from getting rates to go lower. The Fed meeting coming up here in September, they may keep everything the same. It sounds like it's going to be like that, which probably isn't going to do anything for interest rates.

4:11But with people that are renting right now, it is still a good time to at least look into the scenario. But if you're thinking about selling your house, you're at two and a half, three percent. It may not be worth it. So I'm not trying to convince people to sell their house, trade in a three percent, first six percent, six and a half, whatever it might be. But there are still circumstances that make sense to do it. I just had a client that closed a couple of weeks ago. She was at four and a half. She had a bunch of credit card debt. She had a bunch of insolvent loans. She just couldn't catch up on it. So we did a cash-out refinance. She had a lot of equity. Her monthly cash flow was like $1,500 better per month, even with the higher interest rate. So it's a life saver, of course. Absolutely. In that situation. So it's been past couple of years, everybody's been thinking rates are going to come down next year.

5:14And we've been saying that for about three years now. That holding pattern. Yeah. So a lot of people are saying, you know, marry the house, date the rate. We're not really in that market anymore. It's rates going to stay about the same if it makes sense for you. You're in this marriage exactly. So if you find a house you love, the main thing that I'm telling clients is that house. So rates might say the same. The value of that house. It is only going to go up. So if you're looking for your dream house, you might look now instead of later on. Yeah, because odds are it's not going to be financially advantageous to wait. At least in the foreseeable future. In the foreseeable future, I would say over the next couple of years, you know, if you're thinking about downsizing, stuff like that, you're probably going to pay more for those houses or even upgrading, you know, stuff like that. And the stories built around the recognition that Democrats have been trying to regain lost ground with Hispanic voters that have shifted to the Republican Party or at least voting Republican since Donald Trump came on to the scene, which if we can stop for a moment and just really appreciate that. Appreciate the fact that the Republican establishment told us in 2015 that if Donald Trump got elected president that any Hispanic inroads that have been made by the Republican Party would be gone for generations. This was Jeb Bush's big selling point as he would fling around his ability to speak Spanish.

7:19You had a number of establishment Republicans saying that they wouldn't even vote for him if he got the nomination. Might even vote for Hillary Clinton because there would be no Republican would ever win national office again, particularly the presidency if he got that nomination because what little tiny bit of Hispanics that George Bush brought to the party because you know he was from Texas would be completely gone yet historic historic inroads made with Donald Trump as president. As a single one of those establishment Republicans acknowledged that they were wrong. Not only did he not slash what little support there was amongst Hispanic voters for the Republican Party, but he grew it massively, caused it to explode. Any of them, you know those Republicans are the same ones that are trying to torpedo Paxton from winning in Texas,

8:21the John Cornens. You got you know, Thune up there. You got Tillus over in Carolina. You've got you know a number of these establishment people. Now that's not the point of the story. I just wanted to take a brief little pause and just appreciate the foundation of this story, the fact that Democrats are trying desperately to figure out how to get back the Hispanic voters that have left them because they went to vote for Republicans under Donald Trump. Now the Hill notes that as they attempt that being Democrats to win back voters who migrated to the geo. Democrats are also gripping with the rise of Democratic socialism within their own party. A movement they see as a turn off to Hispanic voters, particularly those who hail from nations like Cuba and Venezuela. What are those having common socialist countries? Democratic strategists say while they may prevail in the midterms,

9:24Democrats are worried that the socialism label will take hold in the 2028 presidential election if centrist in their party don't start sounding the alarm. In other words, save themselves from themselves. One Democrat strategist said socialism is a non-starter in places like Florida where there's a big swath of Hispanic voters. The word in and out of itself is toxic or in and of itself is toxic. That Democrat strategist pointed to Florida State Rep. Angie Nixon, the Democratic candidate who's running for Senate. Her association with the Democratic Socialists of America is going to hurt her chances of winning Florida, acknowledge the Democrat strategist. It's been noted that the DSA did not endorse Nixon, who was well known in Florida for her progressive views, but her upset win in the Democrat primary this summer over the Soviet-born Democrat Alex Vindman, who had been a heavy favorite.

10:25But the strategist said Nixon joining the DSA will speak volumes with voters adding, quote, you can't be half pregnant. The toothpaste is out of the tube, and I don't think she can navigate that. All of these negatives, and that's why it's going to hurt her chances the strategist says, polling shows that Democrat socialism had yet to gain traction among Hispanic voters. A Pew Research Survey released earlier this year found that only one out of five, 20% of Democratic and Democratic-leaning Hispanics, and a few political leaders who identify as Democratic Socialist favorably. Only 20%. The skepticism speaks to views on socialism more broadly, 2022. Pew Research shows that more than half the Latino respondents have a positive impression of free market system,

11:27and 53% of those poll here in the United States have a negative impression of socialism. The breakdown is even more stark by national origin. For example, 82% of Cuban respondents say they have a barrier somewhat negative impression of socialism, that's 82%. For Puerto Rican, 64% view it negatively. The story goes on to talk about Democrats and the more pragmatic Democrats and their concern about Hispanics and Socialism. But what is the obvious takeaway from this? Particularly when you look at the breakdown of Hispanics and the negative view of socialism. These are people who have lived under socialism. These are not academics who live in their little ivory towers, protected, who talk about the wonders of equality through the socialism system.

12:31These aren't young people who have been sold the scam. These are people who have actually lived it. What does that tell us? This socialism scenario is one that is an unfortunate reflection of a society that increasingly is populated with the uneducated and the uninformed. Even worse than that, demonstrating a complete inability or unwillingness to look at the obvious right in front of our faces. You don't even have to know what socialism means. Which by the way, a lot of liberals don't. I'm sure you've seen these reels, these generally conservatives that go to these rallies in which not just young people, but even older people. They're all for socialism, explain what socialism is, and they don't even know. You don't even have to know in order to recognize that people who come from socialist countries say it's bad, you don't want it.

13:35That's really all you need to know. This is an element that is missing as a point from the hill piece, the hill piece is noting, yes, there's a problem. Democrats have losing Hispanics because of the democrat embracing of socialism and some countries in particular, Cuba, Venezuela, have a disproportionately high number of Hispanics that are gravitating towards the Republicans because of the socialism issue. And what is it that those Hispanic communities or those countries that have the disproportionately high anti-socialist people who lived in socialist countries? What does this tell us? It is bad. It does not work. The people who lived through it say you do not want it. This is why we came here. Many of these immigrants to the United States, particularly Cubans in Florida, many of them risk their lives to get away from socialism.

14:38Many of them lost family members trying to traverse 90 miles of shark infested at times stormy seas with 80 people to a five person raft clinging to the sides all to get away from this form of government that Democrats increasingly are telling us is the most wonderful form of socialism. It is the most wonderful form ever and so much better than what we have, which is why people flee it to come here to the United States, right? I'm not going to spend a tremendous amount of time on this next bit of information because it is somewhat repetitive in terms of the theme. But at the same time we need to know that it is going on and it is these people that are Islamic leaders in the United States fully saying that we are going to take over and Sharia law is going to be the law of the land. I don't know how much more obvious these people can be. Even terrorists. They will write up these manifestos, they will preach Sharia law and the justification of suicide bombings. They will make their little videos ahead of time saying that they did it in the name of Allah. They will yell Allah Akbar. They do absolutely everything they can to make sure everyone knows why they're doing it.

16:48And then on the left, the people on the left try to, you know, like, well, we don't really know what the motivation is. What more do they have to do? I think this is a really important question for people on the left to ask or to be forced to answer to. If I'm a journalist and I'm sitting there and we're talking about this issue and we're here, well, now I mean, we don't know the true motivation. What would it take? What does, let's just say there's a world in which it's possible that Islam is the motivation for a terrorist. What would they have to do for you to recognize that? Clearly telling you screaming Allah Akbar before they carry out the terrorist attack, having promoting all sorts of propaganda, promoting a terrorist attack. If that doesn't do it for you, what would, what would it take? The latest Islamic scholar in Chicago. Yes, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America, giving an interview recently in which he said the following,

18:02unfortunately, these days we do not repeat this enough or we don't have the doctrinal concept firm in our minds that Islam did not come to the United States to coexist. The prophet Muhammad said Islam is always superior and should never be surpassed. Islam is raised high and nothing is raised above Islam. We can't think of Islam that it came to live with these other religions in the sense that Islam is a religion among those religions and they have a share with the truth and they have a share of justice and they have a share of the correct worship. Islam came to correct all of that. Islam came to remove the oppression of all of those religions. It is the only truth and it is the only way to peace. This isn't a one-off. This is a consistent message that some of these Islamic leaders in the United States are openly same. We are not here for peace.

19:02The old fashioned space movies and you have this narrative of we come in peace. Whether it is an alien invasion of the United States and we are worried, do they mean us harm? We come in peace or we somehow and the future we get to some other country and they are concerned we say we come in peace because it is whether the intent is nefarious or otherwise we are saying we come in peace. These people are openly saying we are not coming here for peace. We are coming to destroy you. These are people right here in the United States of America and we are still supposed to pretend it is not happening. After 9-11 this big to do a commission how did we miss this? How is it that this could have been going on right under our noses?

20:03What was it that we should have done differently in order to see this coming? Never again, never again, what we call off guard. We have supporters of terrorism here in the United States openly saying we are going to take over your country and we are all supposed to ignore it because otherwise we are Islamophobic. We are really at the point now. I guess we are just on a ship that is sinking and we are just going to sit there and let it happen. At least that is the way some of those in charge of the ship are expecting us to behave. Springfields talk 1041 live from scrambleers. 21:03We will see sunny skies with a high near 99. In his counter, Freedom makes his next move after the WMBA game in or ejection, red state reporting. Let's see, let's get down to the time. We are doing a boy, a team owner declared freedom to be a threat. We know this, we know this, we know this. Sorry. He said just filed a federal complaint. I am taking that a girl, Sarah Myers, that a girl. He posted on X, I am taking legal action over my injection from the Chicago sky game while peacefully exercising my first amendment rights. I believe that my T-shirt did what the whole WMBA apparently could not do and defined a woman. No threats, no violence, just biology and somehow that required a security escort. You don't have to agree with my speech, but you don't have to silence me for it. It will not be intimidated, it will not be silenced. I will continue to stand for women and defense free speech.

22:09I believe that ownership, part of me is, hey, this is a private place, they are doing a private game, private corporation, so forth, and they can require you to wear a certain shirt if they want to. Now the Supreme Court, with their public accommodation, really years ago, has negated that position. I see it as a valuable tool, however, because it tells you the mindset of these people, it tells you if they're close minded, it tells you the WMBA is anything but a pro-women's movement, it is pro-women as long as a man gives them permission for it to be pro-women. I hope that there is also a lawsuit, and perhaps there is one, and I just slip my mind regarding the declaration that these individuals are not eligible for the WMBA, because I just don't know what argument that they can make for that at this point. What are they going to say? Because they're men? Well, there is a female who several years ago in the WMBA quote transition to a man, and they say that they respect that transition.

23:20They look at that person as a man, they even celebrated it and supported it, so according to the WMBA they already have a man playing. By their definition, now you and I know it's actually a woman, but in their narrative, they have claimed, no, this is a man, so you can't argue that these two former NBA players aren't eligible because they're actually men, and men aren't allowed to play only women when you say that there is a man already playing. It would be really interesting to hear their argument against that in court, would it be, well, that's different because that's a transgender man. So you're saying a transgender man is different from a man? Because we've been told that a trans is like, if you are a trans woman, that is a woman. If you are a trans man, that is a man. So you can't then say, well, the difference is this is a trans gender man versus a real man because by their definition, there is no difference. Like virtually everything from the left, they cannot logically and honestly argue a foundation for their position because virtually no position they take is grounded in what is even close to reality.

24:36And this is of course a further example of that. Now speaking of this issue, a New Jersey school district is being sued over a policy allowing students to change their name and gender identity at school without notifying the parents. Now it gets worse than that. Not only does this allow students to be coaxed into at times to believing that they're transgender, believing that they're born in the wrong body. There's something wrong with them physically, so they have to be pumped with chemicals in order to be normal, to be right, to be who they really are. They have to have body parts lobbed off. They can do this and keep it hidden from the parents. The rule also allows for punishment of students in that in that school district who accidentally even whether it's purposeful or accidentally use the wrong pronouns to be suspended from school.

25:41I think that won't be used as a weapon given that at any given moment, any given time, the belief here, the presentation on the left is that you can change genders from day to day from hour to hour because you get to choose it. So you want to get somebody you don't like suspended in school. You just wait for them to refer to you as a he or she. You claim, hey, that's not what I am because you get to choose and then you get that kid suspended. This is all so much more humane, isn't it? It makes so much more sense, doesn't it? Then just recognizing the scientific reality of boys and girls, men and women. When it comes to bathroom policies, of course, this is what we've seen before allowing guys to decide whether or not they get to go into girls' bathrooms. What is the point of even having boys and girls' bathrooms if you get to choose whatever gender you are?

26:52It would be no different than if you had two restrooms. One is the blue restroom and one is the yellow restroom. And then you tell the students, will you go in whichever one you identify as? Well, how do I know? You just pick whatever you want. It's irrelevant. It makes no sense. There's no reason to even have a designation between a yellow and a blue restroom. If people get to just choose whichever one they want or whatever it is that they identify as, it's irrelevant. There's no point. It's unnecessary. Same thing, it's an only for the WMBA. If guys can be girls, then why even have a WMBA? It's just a label, it's meaningless. It has no attachment to anything. Whether it's showers, whether it's WMBA, whether it's the bathroom, if you declare that it is all just a personalized label that the individual gets to choose, then there is no need for the label. It's irrelevant.

27:54But again, that's another one of those fact-based recognitions. Which is why it doesn't seem to come into play for many of these people making these decisions. If you're holding off on buying a new home or maybe buying your first home, because you are waiting for that to happen, just that's not a thing. That really is in play at this point. So that should not be really a deciding factor. And of course, that's just his opinion on it. And so you may decide otherwise, it's fine, it's your choice. But if that is a point for you in which you're like, you know what, okay, I get it makes sense. We've been waiting, we've been waiting for like three years, we need to downsize, we don't need this much house. But we've just been waiting for interest rates to drop. As he even noted, I'm sure Emily Johnson will tell you the same thing, that the housing prices are going to an all-likelihood be going up, all interest rates say the same. So you're only in all-likelihood costing yourself money. And that decision, when the time comes, and maybe that also involves selling your house, Emily Johnson, the absolute best. And she knows the cycle, she understands the marketplace.

29:08This is her passion, along with the fact that she's hometown girl, she knows the area down to neighborhood by neighborhood. And the work in relationship she has with the characters makes it all that much more of a bonus to utilize her. So, whenever when it comes to purchasing your home, selling your home as well, but when you're purchasing one, you've got the home loan component that's involved in there. 30:08So if you want to hear their thoughts, opinions, and they have different viewpoints, that is the most important part of this entire discussion. So they do a little bit of a debate back and forth. They've been touring the state doing this together. They did one in St. Louis. I want to say last week. I want to say so yeah. Anyways, yeah, if you want to check that out, it'll be up at ksdf.com in the podcast section or wherever you like to listen. And of course, you can always tune in on Springfield's talk one, oh, four one. That's an a.m. Though those two individuals, if you are not aware of them, they are what I think fairly. I think characterized categorized as very constitutionally minded individuals that are logically based. They're not emotionally driven individuals and increasingly in this day and age when it comes to debating issues. Particularly if you have left versus right, you have one side that lays down a coherent argument, citing sources, explaining the origins of their belief system, and then the other one just saying you're a racist or you're a homophobic.

31:22And it's name calling kind of like debating a toddler essentially. But that's not what you get with these two individuals. More like a William F Buckley Jr. and Gorg Vidal, not ideologically, but I mean, those were the good old days. And there's in fact, I think an entire Netflix documentary about those two in their relationship. Gorg DeVal, Gorg Vidal, extreme left-winger. William F Buckley, of course, the opposite, a very conservative guy. And those two would have debates. Now, they did get very personal at times, but they were intellectual debates. It wasn't simply about name calling though that did occur every so often. And while Darren Chapel and Mike Moon certainly aren't left and right, they're both what would be traditionally considered, the conservative end of things, the constitutional end of the spectrum. They are there because that and because of the guys that they are, the human beings that they are, I would even say because of the Christian men that they are, they're able to have disagreements over something like this amendment three, dealing with abortion and both having the goal of eliminating the, or saving the most unborn lives as possible, just different ways of going about it.

32:41What is the most effective way to do it? And they're able to have an intellectual conversation about that increasingly rare. It's almost as if you need in a history museum to have to living people, these rare individuals that are able to have divergent perspectives on something and actually sit and debate about it. Talk about it, have a discussion, have a back and forth. Without one side or both sides, just name calling and not having any actual depth to it because increasingly that is something that just unfortunately does not exist. And so if anything, it's a great opportunity for you to experience what once upon a time was more commonplace in this country and really the foundation of the decision making process for the existence of our entire country, that form of deliberation between our founders. People have this mistaken idea that all those guys in that painting that sign their name to the declaration, they all just got together because they had the exact same idea about how things should run.

33:46And they're like, well this is simple, let's just write this up and I'll sign it. That is not how it worked, particularly with the foundation of the country, you know what it's going to look like, the constitution itself. There were vast disagreements over the direction of the country and the federalism versus the anti-federalist and those debates and discussions, but they all had one goal in mind and that was a free nation that was severed from a royal crown, severed from a government that believed that people were not born within alienable rights, that those rights came from above. And that common goal they had though vastly distinct and opposing perspectives oftentimes on how to get there, they still managed to come up with our constitution, our entire form of government that so far has lasted 250 years. And for some of you I put last it in quotes because I know many of you would argue that it's not really in play at this point increasingly.

34:54So all that being said, you can listen to those two have that discussion on Sarah's show coming up on Saturday morning 10 a.m. And also, you know, get perspectives if you're struggling or you aren't exactly sure what it is that amendment three will do in the context of saving lives, that'll give you some insight on it from that perspective as well. I wanted to update you on a story that broke, I believe yesterday about the voice guy for Wheel of Fortune getting, I guess you'd say, in trouble on an airline. There were reports that, well, Wheel of Fortune has suspended, I believe, was a status according to TMZ, his employment at Wheel of Fortune is the voice guy because of something that happened on a plane. The reports were that he was met by law enforcement when he got off the plane, but they let him go. It's funny because yesterday's Wheel of Fortune, I noted that they, they, they record these things well in advance. And so he would still be on a lot of these subsequent episodes, usually just here's voice, but yesterday's episode, because I'm 84, so I was watching Wheel of Fortune, get ready to go to bed and had eaten dinner four hours before the 630 airing.

36:09And that, like they actually had the camera on him and he was, I thought man, they must be thinking what timing that, that, at an episode that has a disproportionate amount of time focused on our voice guy Jim Thornton here is like right after this arrest. So, apparently, getting to the point here, he was on the flight, on his media device, in a pedophilia chat room, openly having discussions about kids that would be appropriate only in a pedophilia chat room. When I'm on a plane, like, and this is a great escape thing, right? I download movies before we go on the great escape trips, so I can watch them on my iPad. I don't even find, I'm not even comfortable watching on my iPad, a scene in which people are making out fully clothed, knowing that other people are around and can, even it's not inappropriate stuff necessarily.

37:14I just don't even feel comfortable doing that, knowing that anyone else can see what I'm watching. I cannot imagine, of course I don't understand the minds of people who want to have sex with kids or whatever, that I, being on a chat room talking about young children with other pedophiles, that is just boggles my mind. But like I said, I don't necessarily have the mindset of a person who, I don't know, engages in that behavior anyhow. So that's the latest on the old voice of Wheel of Fortune there. He began really, his idea, which wasn't the worst idea in the world, was like, he needed recruitment. He kind of maxed out, he'd stalled, recruitment was down. So then suddenly he altered his teachings to mimic Judaism in a lot of ways believing, well, that would be a good way to get some Jews on board.

40:32I'd be like, hey, it's a lot like your religion and these ways and everything. We're cooler though. Join us. It didn't work. And that's when he, you can follow this through the Quran, sort of then develop the idea, okay, we'll just start killing people who don't join us. I'm tired of all this playing nice, trying to convince people to join us. And then they began terrorizing the world and taking over countries. Eventually, the Christian church would say, hey guys, where to lose in a lot of our land because of these Islamic conquests. And so we need to fight back. And so that was the crusades. It was a defensive mechanism to try to get back much of that land. And the evolution of the effort and sacrifice that those that utilize Islam as a form of dictatorship and taking over countries and people has really shifted from a tremendous amount of effort and bloodshed to where now,

41:40they just like openly say this is what we're going to do. And nobody fights back. It's like a walk for them. They get handed what it is that they're looking for. If it's just from a historical perspective, it is this amazing pathway that Islam has taken in its effort of complete conquest and making sure you law the law of the planet from a day in a time in which, like I said, I mean, it required the full blown sacra, it was all physical, like physical physical physical. Now they're openly here in the United States. Like, yeah, we're going to take you all over. This is what we're going to do. And then we're like, okay, other than those of us who say we don't think so. And then we're labeled as Lama Fobic. And when you have an entire political party in this country on your side, I mean, it is, it almost must be surreal how easy it is becoming for those that want Sheree Law to control the planet and all of the human beings on it.
