• President Trump late Sunday night and into Monday morning called for troops to be brought in to help stop the violent riots in downtown Los Angeles.
• Democratic Representative Nanette Barragán called the recent unrest in Los Angeles “peaceful protests.”
• Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Sunday that President Trump was a “cruel, dishonorable human being” for sending National Guard troops in Los Angeles.
• Maxine also said that Trump ordered the National Guard to "shoot to kill."
• Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said Sunday that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could face federal charges for their responses to recent ICE raids, which sparked violent riots in parts of Los Angeles, Compton and Paramount.
• CNN Dana Bash downplayed the riots. 
• LA Mayor, Karen Bass, weighed in on President Trump deploying the National Guard to calm the LA riots.
