• The Biden administration released 11 Yemeni terrorists, who were captured after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, from Guantanamo Bay.
• The head of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Janno Lieber, said the uptick in violent subway crime is “in people’s heads,” and argued the transit system’s safety statistics are actually “positive.”
• Meta is ending its fact-checking program and lifting restrictions on speech to "restore free expression" across Facebook, Instagram and Meta platforms, admitting its current content moderation practices have "gone too far." 
• The Biden administration reportedly has been negotiating with the Taliban to swap three Americans being held in Afghanistan for a Guantanamo Bay prisoner who is alleged to have been a close associate of Usama bin Laden.
