Yeah, you have been prolific in terms of the books you've written 17 So far how we do you come up with sort of the inspiration behind what you what you'll cover well I've been identifying as a modern witch since my teens so I'm turning 60 this year

1:03So it's it's been a long time over 40 years and I think Because women particularly are drawn to modern witchcraft because it's very empowering for us Spells and rituals are very creative it feels like you have this Co-creative role in your life and I think more and more people are drawn to it than ever But yeah, I've been writing about it for a long time for oracle decks to now. I have wonderful publishers They're very generous and they keep putting my books out now. I'm on a book to us Fabulous Fiona, I always like to give you the right to reply There are people sitting at home on the couch looking at the TV go what a load What do you say to people who who just who kind of just don't get it? Um, I think that's the big change now people do get it I've been saying since my first book came out 30 years ago that witchcraft is one of the fastest growing spiritual paths in the Western world And it still is and When you look at phenomenons like witch talk and everything and you billions of hits and it's It's very cool to be a witch now. There's even a term which aesthetic Which means rather than people sort of rolling their eyes and going oh you're a witch It's like oh no, it's really cool even um catwalks in Paris have the witch aesthetic now

2:07But it's not just about looks it's about how you live your life Okay, today's Friday the 13th is there anything in the witch calendar where this has a significance or is it tied in any way? I would say Friday the 13th pick up a black cat give it a hug I do a lot of animal rescue So I'm always about that. I'm always about pick up a black cat give it a hug But if you do want to turn away bad luck on Friday the 13th There's a little trick from a real witch Salt is very good at turning away blad luck Throw a little pinch over your left shoulder turn your socks on inside out or even your stockings and it reverses Bad luck with every step you take you're reversing any bad luck But I love Friday the 13th my favorite day Well, that work with my compression socks as well. I don't think anything's gonna reverse that luck I'm being honest. Can we talk about his whole witch toxin? I think look at the end of the day The world answers according to the questions we ask of it and how you view something as whether it has a positive or a negative impact on you

I'm not on tiktok I've decided that I Enjoy the color and the creativity and the growth of the world of witchcraft Through these new mediums of communication that did I mean when I started there was nothing You know you'd I was you know as 40 years ago So you really had to hunt around for information But these days there's a lot of information out there I think I encourage people to trust their intuition and trust their gut if they see something that clearly is manipulative or toxic or negative Avoid it. It never is worth the cost of approaching things negatively in life I've learned as a modem which that certainly one practicing for so long and identifying as one for so long that my power is Much better defined by what I'm empowered to give yeah, then what I'm empowered to get that's how I I see my craft as a a service So that's what the book is. Yeah, it is. It's very. I didn't mean to do a sage pun I think sage is good sage is good for cleansing, but it's also why always really interesting talking TV
