Merlin, a duck wearing Mexican football team colours, has become an unofficial World Cup mascot for Mexico and was invited as a special guest to a presidential press conference. The taco-loving duck, who gained fame through viral videos of him waddling through Mexican streets in team uniform, attended the meeting with government ministers while wearing his team scarf. His owner is now seeking to register him as a trademark.
