8:07All right, AJ, as you know, we decided to hit the button this afternoon because AJ is already getting hungry. So we're going to do a little pod, then we'll go get a little grub, get ready for a little UFC tonight, add a little walk through this morning. So we're going to get a little stallions update. 9:09the old Birmingham stallions after two weeks as the head coach? I feel great. Oh, it's good. Guys, it's been awesome. They worked their asses off. It's been a pleasure. I think we're doing a good job of trying to take care of them, and then they're doing a good job of understanding if they practice hard and go out there that will take care of them. And, you know, if I can just get my right tackle just to track the mic would be all right. I want him today. It's a classic, great tackle job, right? Hey, that wasn't him today, so to fill everybody in, to fill everybody in today, we had a little moment today, we had a little moment today at practice. And today, I woke up today. I woke up today, as AJ knows, I woke up today and I said, it's Saturday. I'm going to be good cop today. Today's not my day. You know, for those that don't know, six days a week I'm back up.

10:11Saturday is Saturday's for the boys. I'm not, I'm not, I'm good cop on Saturday. I'm getting into my, hey, season's like three weeks away. So, you know, your boy is getting in season mode and so I'm for the boys on Saturday. So I'm going to be, I'm going to be nice on Saturday. And you know what, I woke up, I was going to be good cop today. So today, we had a little blitz walk through versus with the defense and our defense brings everything that you, every possible in the, in the world of blitz, any possible way combination that you can think of, our defense will bring, which is great for us, great for the line, great for protection, good looks, the whole deal, I love it. Offense, offensive line may not like it as much, but as the coach, I love it. So today, we're in blitz walk. We had a nice little easy, nice little easy little, little pressure. What is it even a blitz? It was a pressure, they're bringing five and the offensive line, the guy that they had, the backer that they had dictated that they were going to block, came off the edge, came

11:15around the edge and just came clean. I see it, I decide to be good cop today, I see it. So I'm going to allow either you or Mike to be bad cop. So I looked to my right and you were talking to a quarterback. I looked further to my right and I believe, bases, the guilty party, I believe Mike was talking to Mason, didn't see it. So I varied kindly without doing any corrections because I'm like, surely to God, they know that that was the my point and that's where they were going. And so I said, reload, let's do it again. And we ran it again. I don't say anything, the Mike does the same thing, he comes free and you kind of look up at that time and you go, where did that come from? I said, it was the Mike and I saw a look, look down at Mike, you were like, okay, so you were not, you went, you were like, we have levels here, we have C, we have level C, we

12:19have level T, we have level E and then we have straight jacket, okay. So at that time, you were just a level C. So we reloaded, didn't say anything, reloaded, did it again. And again, the Mike does the same blitz, pour, pour, shout out to Coach Sheriff for being patient with us to run the same blitz three times in a row. He comes around for you again. And then our head coach, maybe for the first time this year, is it the first time? I think we've gone full straight jacket. You went straight straight jacket, you skipped the T, you skipped the E and you went straight to straight jacket. So would you like to re-enact the, what you said today to the offense? There would be a lot of bleeps, a lot of bleeps. We would disappoint Neil with the language and my mom. We don't need to do that, he's hanging out with a fam today, we don't need to do that, we need to keep him a peaceful. I'm sure he's enjoying a nice IPA shout out to my guy. I did send him a picture of the IPA that I had last night and he was very, I was channeling

13:22my inner-neil last night. But I was just, I was very, I was not going to be back cop today. So the reason that I have to be back cop six days a week just so everybody knows is because I would go back cop first play, we don't have to repeat to play twice. So I was waiting for, for what are you two guys to go CTE and I'm glad you did. All right, let's go into it. So big news, big news. Now publicity about the old Birmingham stallions, our linebacker, one of our linebackers, really good linebacker, take Crowder, is got enough in a freaking box and beef with Logan Paul. How about what's, let's, hey, just as a head coach, okay, as a head coach, you did not know about it. I, I, I see it on social media is like, hey, did you know about this? What was your first reaction when you saw your linebacker trying to get in on one, for $1 million, going to have a box in match for $1 million, how'd you, what was your first

14:22reaction? What the hell are we doing? Then it was okay, get paid, but let's do it after the season and it pays a great player. So we need him, but yeah, I was shocked, I mean, it's hard for me to keep up with this social media shit, so I, I, I understand, you know, a little bit of, from a sense of, he kind of played games with it, about never seeing social media or shows or anything, old coach saving. But I understand, is full enough of a bunch of whatever nonsense to where it's like, I, I couldn't tell you what the hell is going on. I feel like we stay so focused on this, and then at the end of the day, when you find, you know, we're leaving here at 9 o'clock at night, it's like, oh, okay, like, this is

15:23what happened today. Well, it's, it's, I had to, I told you, whatever morning that was, I told you that what's going on. I give you the war updates every day. Yeah. I'll give you, I give you the war updates, anything interesting happened. I give you, I give you the sports updates, you know, as, all right, so now you've been, you've been a head coach now officially for two weeks, okay, for two weeks. All right. Since you've been, you've been a head coach for two weeks, what's one thing that's crossing your plate that you wouldn't expect in as a head coach or something? There's always a surprise. What's the one thing you didn't know that would be something bigger than it is? Yeah. I mean, I probably, the fact of like coming home, my roommates, bedroom, doors, a lot of things. Yeah. So then the TV is just blurring. I've seen the light on text like, hey, you up case, we need to change cars. No way answer.

16:24So I get to the top of the stairs, my room's on the opposite, his room's on the other room. First of all, it's, damn near midnight. So let's, let's, yeah. It was late. Yeah. Coming back from a head coach's dinner with, we're polly and the rest of the head coaches. Somebody had to do it. Y'all were eating it. You ate real nice fancy Italian food and ate, came to that night. Yeah. And I turned the corner to check to make sure my roommate is alive or in the house. And at first, I don't see him and I'm like, what the hell is he? And then I noticed, oh, there's a black sweatshirt. Water usually wins. I'll, you know, turn the fan on for him, turn the light out and shut his door, and then

18:36the best part was, so I never expected that as my head coach to do, but, you know, the more you can do the better, and then just helping out your coaches, you're just helping out your coaches, man. Yeah. Just helping out your coaches. Just coming in the next morning, I'm in the office, being with the quarterback, says he comes in, knocks on door, and he's like, hey, did you took me in last night? Well, I didn't took you in, but I turned the light out and turned the ban on for you. Well, I get up, I think I've said on the shows, I get up between four and five o'clock. And just my alarm is set for five, but always wake up between four and five. And then, you know, we usually go, well, I don't know, about 11 o'clock or whatever it is, I'll finish up 11 o'clock, but I'm done, I'm tired by the end of the day. And so it doesn't take me. I'm always going to sleep with the TV on, and it drives my wife nuts. But I do that. I mean, I don't know. I can't tell you how long forever.

19:38And, but I knew that I was waiting up for you, because I had text you, because we needed to swap. I needed to make sure my car was in the back, because I'll leave earlier. And so, yeah, I didn't get to think by the time, I mean, 30 seconds later, I was out. But the reason that I was in full hoody and everything else was because my roommate, you know, not to complain about my roommate. My roommate, it's four, we got penguins going across our floor at nighttime. And the bedding that was provided by said house was not good enough. So not only after the first night did I have to go get another blanket to put on top of said covers, a whole thing, I got some kind of black, black velvet, some kind of, I don't know what it was, some kind of fuzzy blanket thing to comfort or put on deal, went back a couple days later and got another one. So I have sheet blanket, blanket, blanket, just to survive, just to survive hypothermia

20:43with this guy. So my roommates there on that, and the only other complaint that I have about my roommate, what I have one of the complaint is we went to target and I needed to go pick up, I needed a toaster from target, which eventually I found out I didn't need as AJ, because after I bought said toaster, AJ said the toaster is not broken, you just, the outlet is out. So that's okay, we live and we learn, right, we make mistakes, we live and we learn. But I actually went to, did we go to target that day, yeah, I went to target, went to target to get a toaster, so I was going in target, trying to get a toaster and then my roommate forced me to, it ends up guilty me into different sheets and all this stuff and then I end up 289 dollars later, I went in for a toaster and I came out with 289 dollars worth of gadgets. So that's my, that's my only other complaint. Oh, and he's, he's taught my wife into going to the Bahamas, which, you know, I hate, you know, I don't do that.

21:44So he's got that one done. What else? Oh, oh, oh, I got one other complaint about my roommate, this is probably, yeah, noxie. So, you know, one thing, the one thing it sucks, there's only one thing that sucks about, about being down here and it's, I'm away from my family, love my family, miss them to death. And so, AJ and I both, which AJ, the reason we started to something we're doing it right now is AJ and I both are watching our kids play on whatever app and all that stuff, watch, shout out to docs for charges, we watch you on the blue channel, watch your last night with the big one over South and Ola, watch the, watch the boys play on game changer and all that stuff. And so, Noxie is in a baseball tournament, was that last weekend? Yeah, I think it was last weekend. And, and Noxie's at the play, watching him on the, on the, on the screen, watching him checking him out. And he goes, AJ walks in and goes, first thing he says out of his mouth is like, what, what bat? You got him swinging and I said, hell, I don't know, some Louis, he's, he's 10, AJ,

22:46he's 10. And he's like, oh, no, you can't, you can't, you can't have your kids swinging with that bat. And so, I'm on the phone and then I call my wife and then he's like, he starts getting telling my wife that, that the, my kid needs new bat. And so they guilt me and so I say, AJ, I said, okay, you go pick the bat for him that you think he needs to hit. I'll go by. I'll, I'll come in there and buy it. So, AJ goes in his office, 30 minutes later, he, 30 minutes later, he calls me in and he's like, all right, it's ready. And so I go in there, AJ doesn't just go pick a bat. He picks, go ahead, I don't know, a little, some kind of custom bat. So, AJ's in there, cut a supra, a custom. So 500 dollars later, 500 dollars later, Nox is going with his six mile, our bat speed is going to be swinging a 500 dollar bat. You could put a broomstick in his hand and it'll go just as far. Hey man, wait, wait till that ball connects with that super barrel.

23:48I think if it doesn't go, I don't think it, if it doesn't go over the fence, then it's just your fault. I'm going to blame everything on you. It's great, it's custom, custom colors, it's got his name on it and he's excited. Well, that's the other thing is I don't like all the, the fru fru stuff that goes into like kids baseball, right? And so my, I just can't do it. And so as soon as I leave, like I left the next day, my wife went and ball, like elbow shield, freaking, freaking leg shield, I mean, this dude's like 10. I mean, you could literally throw, he like, he could hit 800 balls off his shin, he'll never feel it because he does, they don't hit it hard enough. But no, he, he, he at least looks the park. So yeah, he still can't hit it, but he, he does look the park, you know, so he did, he did. He looked really good standing in the box. He walked like nine straight at bats. He looked, he looked really good walking the first base.

We had this discussion at dinner last week. AJ, once you let the folks in, bring the people in and tell them your conspiracy theory about 2311. Yeah, I mean, I think when you look at the lawsuit that they had in the off season against NASCAR, I, I wouldn't be surprised, the first two races were restricted plate races. It's easy to give somebody, now Daytona and in restricted plates, you still got to have luck, but if you can find a way to get out front, I mean, you just, I don't know, I think they're, you know, just makes it interesting.

25:49First time ever in history to win three races in a row, two restricted plate races. It's kind of interesting, it's super speed ways, and then the road course. It was interesting, like I bought into it, like I wouldn't buy it into your theory. And then at Coda, when they were come off the turn at the exact same time and he was extending down the straightaway by four car links, they had that got me a little bit suspicious. They got me a little bit suspicious, but yeah, do you think he wins at Phoenix tomorrow? No. Yeah, I'm going with, I'm going to go tomorrow's winter, tomorrow's winter will be Ryan Blaney. It was good to get back to Boston's, little sports bar, hang out, like good pizza, really good food, good nachos, like it's bar style, but they have some really good dishes to get pasta, all kind of stuff. Boston's is one of my favorite spots around here. Shout out to our offense line coach, my golf, who visits Boston's seven every day, every day. I bet you he's there right now, like, text him and see where he's at, say, hey, are you, are you, is he still here? He's gone. He's either there or here, he's either in his office or he's, he's in our watching film or he's at Boston, it's one of the other. My favorite, AJ, I know this is going to shock you.

27:54My favorite, we found a little pizza joint, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, division brewing company, division brewing company, right there on division street, original name, right there on division street, thin crusts, and my man, AJ has got me on the pepperoni, the Italian sausage and the jalapeno, but just exquisite pizza at division pizza. And I know the next question that everybody's asking right now, you're like, hey, Cisco, if you like it so much, why hasn't it been on the bachelor food review? Well, that will be because the environment is not, what's the right way to put this? The environment is not sustainable, it's not susceptible to a food review, very quiet, different crowd. I think AJ and I are probably the very few people in there whose hair is not dyed.

28:56Hey, but our guy that works behind the counter, shout out to him, he's awesome. Hey, we got to find out where he's working. So yeah, that's our guy, it took care of us, good to do, but I would be a little bit embarrassed to do one there, which leads me to the next question, AJ, how much are you enjoying being the cameraman for food reviews? I hate it, I hate it, the worst part about it is, I get to have my own office being in this position and I was in here one day before we had to practice the first day of practice. Yeah, I'm sitting down and eating old chef Mimi and her lunches she brings in and I like them, I don't want to eat them much, but all of a sudden, as he comes in, he's got

29:59his food and I'm like, all right, we're about to just sit here and talk about practice or something or the script. My head is down, eating the food and all of a sudden I see a phone being placed in front of my face and I look up and he said, it's time for food review, it's time, no, it's time. Got to help my guy call out, man, got to help my guy call out, got to help my guy call out, he needs a, and then hey, shout out to Heather, shout out to Heather, Heather from Birmingham the other day, with Pino, from Alabama, Pino companies, she said, hey, you need to do a food review and shout out here, how about this, how about this? 32:01Shout out to them, well, they have, they have, I don't know if they have half and half, but they have, I know they have unsweet, the green label, and then you have the Ridge Nile, which is in the red label, and they have, like, they have, like, an orange label, they have a yellow label, they got all kinds of different, yeah, they have, like, an orange former, yeah, yeah, yeah, good stuff, man, My Loses, where it's at, you can go get the, I'm just saying I've heard that they have this thing called the Megamil combo, which is a double cheeseburger, extra large fry, extra large sweet tea, and an apple pie. Yeah, it's good, yeah, AJ doesn't like my diet choices, but that's okay. Did you see the, uh, uh, some of them are burning out with, they only serve ribs and bread? All right. This came out yesterday as you probably saw or probably did not see, I think I showed it to you.

34:05The NCAA is appealing the Trinidad Shameless decision to the Mississippi State Supreme Court. We've got a couple thoughts on this, see what kind of where you're at on this because we haven't actually talked about it, talked about it. First of all, I think anything that they do court wise, he'll be long gone by the time he thing gets decided. So I think the him playing part is, is, is in, is good. But with that, people said, I can't believe the NCAA is appealing this, where I don't think they had a choice but to appeal it because I think it would end up, I said this on Niels Dill this morning, I think you're going to end up, if you don't appeal that, every single play, every single scout team player with a sore throat is going to try to go to court and get another year. I think they're trying to do everything they can, which I think they should to hold up the standards of eligibility. Right now it's five years to play four.

35:06As you know, I'm a big proponent for five to play five, I don't believe, like the red shirting part, I think is, we're long past the red shirting part. I don't think players, coaches don't even want to red shirt players anymore because, you know, it's like, what are you doing red shirting for another guy because if they don't play in your red shirt, they're going to transfer anyway. So play them while you got them if you got to play them. But I don't think, I don't think the NCAA had any other choice but to appeal it, you know, but it is a risk. You know, the risk is once you go to a state supreme court and if they get denied again, it's open season. So it is a, they better know that they can win it, you know, kind of deal. This could get, this is going to be a really interesting case to where, hey, if it doesn't, if the state supreme court upholds the decision, and now you got, you got legit precedent, right? And not just local precedent, you got, you're talking about federal precedent, even though

36:06it's almost state level, but you got, it's, it's going to be very, very interesting. I was kind of a little bit surprised. They better know that they can win it, but if they don't, it's, it's the end of, in the vans. What do you think? What's your opinion on all this shit? Where's the case at? Well, it was in, it was in local court, I like, so it was like certain, you know, local court, but now they're appealing it to the state supreme court. And then after that, it would go to federal supreme court, right? It would go all the way up, but in, in what state? Mississippi. Hmm. I think the federal part, though, I mean, that, I think it's a little bit different, you know, I mean, my boy, like, I literally, I was all in. I was very interested in when he, because it was on the, they broadcast it. There was a zero, that judge, there was a zero point zero percent chance. I mean, I thought he was going to break it down with a hotty-totty. I mean, he was, he was, there was zero percent chance that it was, it was his deal.

37:09But, you know, when you start going, you know, look, it's in Mississippi, but as you know, and I've said this in many, many, many interviews, I've been a part of a lot of rivalries in my day. All right. There's, there's not a single rivalry I've ever been a part of, and I've been a part of an Alabama rivalry. There's not a single rivalry I've been a part of that's more like, like, truly vicious and dislike people than an Ole Miss and Mississippi state. So, you don't know if there was a state against overturned, I don't know if there was a state against the state, man. What if the, what if the Supreme Court had more state fans on it than, Ole Miss fans? Well, then, then you're screwed, but that's the only way. I mean, I just, I, I can't see it unless it's that. Well, I think he's going to be done playing like his, he'll be, I mean, this thing won't be decided probably until a year from now, I imagine. I don't think that it's not something they're going to put on the docket next week. I just think it's from an eligibility standpoint. It's going to be very interesting. The NCAA better know that they can win it, because again, you're going to set yourself

38:09up for, I mean, again, everybody with a sore throat on the scouting is going to, is going to apply for, is going to apply for a, another year. If they're, if they turn out to be a, a good player, right, and it's just what it is. And so, I don't know, man, where, where you at on 5 to play 5 or 5 to play 4, I mean, you went through it, you red-shared your first year, where you, I mean, I, I think, I mean, 5 to play 5, and, and it shouldn't be any more after that, I, I, I thought, I watched a little bit last night of, uh, Stabin and Urban Meyer, um, talking with the, uh, that little panel they had the other day. Yep. What's next? Go ahead. We'll try about it. I thought, I thought it was good. Um, I, I thought they all made really good points from a sense of, you know, Stabin was

39:09big on the education. What are we doing? It, it, get back and then urban, what's the same thing? Back to the true meaning of NIL and if a company wants to pay you, once you have, you know, created some worth for yourself and, with your name and how you've performed on the field, um, I mean, that makes sense when it comes to Jersey sales, that makes sense, like you should get a, a piece of that, just like you do in the, well, tell them about you're just like, when we, that's when I remember you coming to me in my office at Alabama and pissed off because there was, there's some about the, about the incident, like, yeah, the NCAA, we, we got a, um, Josh, um, or, yeah, Josh, uh, Max Howard, Jeff Pearson, got a stat that talked about, um, Jersey sales my senior year, we had it junior

40:10and senior year and I was like in the top five, a top three my senior year in Jersey sold Alabama number 10 jerseys and you could search my name on the NCAA website and it would pop up as the 10 Jersey and they were saying they weren't using our name image or likeness which, I mean, turned out to be bullshit and so we never saw any of that money. Like, and it, it's kind of, that's the part that's like, that's the biggest issue I have with it. Like that's how players, I believe players should get paid. Um, I mean, it's the same way in, in the NFL, like, you get a portion of, you know, Jersey sales and so I don't understand, um, them just the NCAA line for so many years saying, Hey, we're not using your name and then you, you get the NCAA game and the start and quarterbacks number 10 while you're playing the game or, um, and instead of it saying from Mobile, it says he's from Baldwin

41:14County and it's like, Okay, well, we know who the hell that is. Like, it's just stupid shit like that. Um, so I, I think it's messed up. Um, they've taken advantage of so many people for so many years. At the same time, you got a free education. You created, if you done it, the right way you created relationships and, um, friendships and bonds that will, you know, better you in life and give you a leg up over others because of it, but still taking advantage of dudes playing a game for a living, then bringing in so much money, I think it's ridiculous on the NCAA's part. Yeah. Um, yeah, I'm like, for me, like I said, I think players should be paid. Um, you know, I think when all this, it came about too fast. I mean, it was just, oh, it was literally overnight. Um, after the court case, it was like, there was just never any, there was never a plan for any kind of, there was never any foresight to get a policy or anything in place.

42:17They kind of, I don't think they ever thought that they would lose the case. If that makes sense, the court case, they got it started Austin case and, and it was just overnight and that was just a wild, wild west and then they've been playing catch up ever since and every time they try to put rules and regulation in, you're already on the, they're always a step behind if that makes sense. And then, you know, you got rev share and, and as I've stated before, we're in the rev share error right now, but you got, you know, you got some places are able to kind of manipulate the cap right now because we're in the, because of how the fiscal year runs as opposed to the football season being ran and being able to front load and things like that at the beginning before this window place. And so you got all these teams are like these massive amounts of money on a roster because of front loading or whatever it is. And then you got ways now that people are trying to manipulate like NIL, like trying to, and it's fine for me, I'm okay with it, right? For, if you're manipulating like Texas Tech has talked about doing, right? If you're, if you go, there's

43:21ways, it's a shell game, right? And there's ways to manipulate the shell game. So if Adidas is a sponsor of, of, of your school and you say, Hey Adidas, I don't want you to give our school X amount of dollars for blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, I want you to give the same amount of money and NIL to our players. And then you just get a donor or somebody to replace that amount of money to the athletic department. So it's just a shell game of moving around and making it legit NIL, which I'm okay with. You know, my whole thing is is that this is where it, this makes a lot of people mad, but I don't care. I think we got a lot of ambulance chasers out there with the NIL world. When it comes to agents and lawyers and things like that, we got a lot of ambulance chasers out there, right? Just trying to take advantage of the opportunity. I believe the players should get paid, but I think the players that should be paid are the ones that are producing the most profit that are producing the most revenue. I think it should be skewed that way. I think when

44:24you're dealing with, and again, this makes everybody mad and, you know, because everybody wants to live in a utopian society and everybody wants to, you know, get participation trophies and eat pineapple under pizza and call eat boneless chicken wings and call themselves her spear. They probably like tampons and minstrels, but those people want, hey, I'm in the sport. We're losing $9 million this year, but I want my money. You know, like don't make fucking money. Like if you make money, your sport, if you're part of a sport, you draw a crowd or you, whatever it is, if you produce a profit, you should be getting paid. If you don't produce a profit, you should not be getting paid. You shouldn't be asking for more money. You should be grateful to what you get. And that's where, and then the, the other thing that people, and again, everybody's like, oh, for all these years, they took, they took advantage of all these players for all these years. Like little Johnny on the side of the road didn't get in his education paid for and all the

45:25freaking health benefits and everything else that comes with playing college athletics. That's very expensive. Okay, somebody has to pay for it. All the benefits, the normal college players probably getting a hundred grand a year. We actually, we worked it up. I remember at Arkansas State, I remember Steve Roberts doing this for a five year career with everything involved, if everything, all the benefits and everything that you get, it's little over a million dollars per player for a five year career. And, and so it was like a ride out, we're just smidging over a million dollars per player. And so like you're sitting there and you're like, oh, we don't, they don't get anything. Well, if little Susie was going to school, that's what, that's what it would cost her to get out all the same stuff. So, you know, I think if you're making money, go get it. They should be getting paid, you know, and then, but if you're in a sport that's not making money, I don't know why we're, we're making such a, you know, being endless chasers over money that you're not even earning. So I don't know. I'm just a little bit off and all that stuff. But anyway,

46:25going back to the thing we start talking about is, you know, Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order within the next week, the attempt to return college sports to the concepts of the pre-NIL era. That was actually the round table. Yeah, I just don't, I don't see that happen. I mean, I'm sure he's going to sign the executive order. I don't, I think Ross Dellinger saw him on Twitter. I think this, and he used one of my guy, Neil's favorite terms there. Neil's been using this. I think that he's attempting to put the toothpaste back in the tube, but I just don't know. Until, until there's collective bargaining and all that, I just don't see it happening. I'm glad that they're trying. I mean, at least I'm trying to do something. And I'm glad that Coach went saving wind. I'm glad that every mile went. I'm glad all that round table happened. I don't know what can come out of it without collective bargaining, because I think we're past the point of no return on this deal. And the heart, the hardest part, everybody talks about the organization

47:25of collective bargaining with the players union and all that stuff. I think the hardest part of the collective bargaining process, whenever it happens, because it's got to happen, because college sports is not sustainable at the current level for a long period of time, even the wealthiest of schools will, will not be able to do it. The hardest part is going to be this. Okay, we got one in here that went through the NIL process. The hardest part is this. Why would, all right, if you were in a players union, all right, why ask Mason here? If you were in a players union, why would you collectively bargain if you're already getting everything you want? Make some sense. You know what I mean? So it's like, they're already getting everything they want. Why would they give up anything? Because it's, we're in a situation like collective bargaining is kind of like compromising meeting in the middle, right? Well, why on the head, what they compromise if, like, the only person that's going to have to come to the middle is the players. The, the, the schools are going to have to, the schools are like at the middle already. Like, they don't have to move. It's just to play. That's why I think that's going to be the hardest

48:26part of collective bargaining. So it is what it is. But, why is she is, if I was a student and athlete, right, and I'm getting paid $4 million, half a million dollars a year, I mean, you told me you were there in Asia. You play, you get some guys going to tune in, right? Another guy you have to chase around campus. How am I going to get this $4 million dollar student athlete to go to, to geometry 101 and send a class when they're making four times as much as the teacher? At what point are we moving away from just student athletes in general? Is, Alabama just has, you know, what about players more or less that they don't even go into class? What's the point? Agent asked you a question. 19 years old. Let's say you're playing the day. All right. You're starting quarterback in Alabama. You're making $3 million a year. How many classes you going to at 19 years old? $3 million a year. The, the AJ at 19, AJ. How many classes you going to?

49:30I'm going to. You're going to tutoring? No. What was the, what, what did you hate the most about school? What was your, don't say all of it. Give me something. What did you hate the most about college? But the actual classroom part. Probably just taking, I mean, the fact that I'm taking classes that will have nothing to do with what I want to do in the end. I mean, it's just such a, I mean, I shouldn't say waste of time, but I mean, what? There's a stat out there. It's like 80% of the people that graduate with a degree in a certain, you know, field doesn't even get a job in that field that they have their degree in. Like, I don't know. I mean, I understand what college is for is that you can, you know, live a life and get shit done and it shows that you're

50:32maturing and everything. But I mean, hell, if they want to fix it, why don't we, if you're getting paid, then, you know, how about you're not, your school's not getting paid for? Yeah, I mean, there's, there's, there's so many, but like, again, that would be collective bargaining, right? So if you're the player side, all right, let's say you're the player side and said, okay, cool, we'll play you, but we're not playing for school. Well, they'd be like, why would we do that? Right now, you're paying us in your plan. Like, this, that's to me going to be the hardest part is getting the players to give up on anything because right now they got everything. So, I don't know, I mean, it's just, I've got to do the point. Like, I'm passed where, like, you know, Neil, we like to, he likes to burn matches, you know, burning matches when you start, he's like, uh, you know, like, I think I'm already past that point of the burning matches point because it's like, I think we're past the point of no return. And I mean, we're, we're past the point of everything. And that's why I think the only way to actually fix any of this is to completely start over

51:34outside of the NCAA. And these are the rules. If you want to play great, if not, you, you know, you don't. And that's just, I don't think inside of the NCAA, it's, it's, we've, I think we've reached a point where it's just not sustainable. So it just is what it is. I don't know. 53:45I mean, I think Max is an unbelievable player. But you always have an Oakland, right? No, he was right after me. I mean, two picks, two first round picks. Like, if you know what the hell you're doing, I think Oakland wins that. But I think it's kind of a, I think both teams kind of got what they want. You know, I think Ravens needed a edge guy that, they needed a closure and edge guy to kind of, they're in a kind of a championship win now mentality and you look to Raiders, you know, that you get salary off the books. Okay. And then, and then you get, you get two, two first round picks. If you get the right guys that can come in and play and you got them on rookie deals, I think it can open up some, some lanes for free agency to probably to speed up the process. But you can't miss on those picks. They need to get, you know, so they'll have two first round picks in the next two years. You need to get four starters, you know, and I think that'll free up some room for free agency
