Marriage Minute: Faith is a Team Sport

About this episode

Marriage was never meant to be lived alone — and neither was faith. In this week's Marriage Minute, Dave Willis reminds us that the Christian life is built on community: encouraging one another, praying for one another, and doing life together. And it all starts with you and your spouse. Tune in for this quick dose of encouragement, then come back Monday for the full episode of The Naked Marriage Podcast! Hey friends, welcome to our Friday Marriage Minute where you get a little glimpse of our episode that is coming next week and we are so excited to share today's episode with you, so let's dive in. You could be technically married and never be around your spouse, but it's not going to be much of a marriage. And it's the same with our faith. Like when you read the Bible, you read the New Testament in particular, it's almost impossible to live out the faith that we're called to in isolation. It's all this with one another, you know, encourage one another, serve one another, love one another, confess your sins to one another, pray for one another.

It's all these things that it just takes for granted you're going to be in community. That the church is God's community, it's not a building, it's a community of believers. And that community starts with you in your spouse, be in faithful community with each other, you know, doing those things for each other, praying for each other, supporting each other. But faith is a team sport, not an individual sport. Like we need other people around us. Thank you for tuning in to today's Marriage Minute. I hope it was an encouragement to you. Don't forget to come back on Monday for a brand new full link episode of the Naked Marriage Podcast. We'll see you then.
