Karlyn Ramirez, a young mother and a member of the US Army, was found dead in her home in August 2015. Karlyn’s husband, Maliek Kearney, also in the military, was stationed at a base in another state and appeared to have a solid alibi. Still, investigators discovered that he plotted to kill Karlyn because she wanted to end the marriage.

They had never lived under the same roof due to being stationed at different places. What came out in the investigation was a web of deceit and cover-up that led back to Maliek Kearney.
