Well, you can run, but you can't hide from the tape. Just ask the Democrats, Texas Senate candidate James Tallerico, a resurfaced clip from the heydays of Woke One in 2020 is going viral. Apparently, Tallerico took aim at capitalism and called on oil rich Texas to move away from the oil and gas industry. And also thankful that young activists have really drawn the link between climate change and white supremacy and capitalism in our country. And I think only ending the ways that all three of those impressive systems work together are we going to be able to begin the process of dismantling them. James Tallerico now walking back those comments with his campaign saying, quote, James is a proud capitalist that agrees with the majority of Texans that racism, natural disasters, and

1:02a billionaire controlled economy are all problems we need to address. James has already said he missed the mark on some of his past statements. As for the Dems, other Senate hopeful Michigan's Abdul El-Sayed, he's also being haunted by the ghosts of his woke past. A resurfaced 2023 podcast clip shows the candidate saying this, quote, economic data shows us that if you want to achieve the American dream, well, you should move to Canada because it's twice as likely there here where you start predicts where your end. And the problem is that we don't do enough to invest in the means of income here. But it's not just past comments plaguing El-Sayed's campaign. He just went on the breakfast club and trashed fireworks. Every time we do a firework show, it destroys the air quality and people have asthma exacerbations and heart attacks the next day. That's all I was saying. You know what I mean? I'm saying we shouldn't have fireworks. I'm just saying maybe like there are other ways to show your love. Like drone shows, Jesse. People really love a drone show. Yeah, you know, he was just saying that like, you know, I'm just as much of an American

2:03as JD Vance. No, you're not. If you're against the Fourth of July fireworks and you're for the Canadian dream, not the American dream. No, in my book, you lose patriotism points. It's also he's a doctor. He should know Americans are not dropping dead on July 5th. We're not having breathing problems after the Fourth of July. It's just not true. And instead of the Canadian dream, it's the American dream. We're having the whole world move here to make it big. It's because we have more rags to richness. I just made that up. Nice. I think people should be given the room to change their minds, the space to be able to evolve and to think differently about things. I mean, I was not for term limits, Dana, when I was elected to Congress, almost 30 years ago now. More than, almost 30 years ago now, I learned more and thought differently about it. I was against gay marriage when I first got elected to Congress.

4:07I evolved on that issue. We can even look at President, you know, we talked about it in the past, and I don't know if, if, also, yeah, I was talking about this. Vice President Vance and Secretary Rubio had differences with President Trump, and he had with them. And they eventually, they, they, they think Mr. Vance said that he listened to President Trump a lot of his issues and a lot of the things that the President can't paint on, in turn, not to be the right things. So I think you give people space. Actually, don't think it's an admission of weakness or even a sign of weakness if you're able to say that. Now, ultimately, in this case, here, Dana, the voters will make the determination. As Mr. Talleriko, different than when he was in 2020 or feel differently about these issues, this Miss El Sayat, feel DeRodactel, say, you know, feel differently. Voters will have to make that determination. But I'm a believer. Get people space to change. And if they come around in my position, you know what I say? I say, hurrah. Kelly, and it would be interesting if they ever answered the question of what was it that made you change your mind? I'd be interested in learning that. It was. And they don't ever have to answer that. Right. But the answer to me, Dana, is the revelation of the tweet, of the Zoom call, of the statement,

5:08of the video, the regret they seem to express is not about their past policies, which aren't even that past, that long and past. The regret they express is that they were caught saying it, and now they have to explain it away. I've seen no evolution in the thinking of anything. They're going backwards. We did not talk about men and women's sports and bathrooms and everything 20, 10 years ago. If that's what evolution is, people don't want it. And if he, look, if Talleriko is so against capitalism, he should take down his ads right now and give back the money to his billionaire and millionaire donors. He's a phony. There's, to me, there's nothing authentic and valiant about his change of heart. Here's the other problem with people like El Sayed and Talleriko. We saw this with what I call Platinum Rightist and a Democratic Party. There was always another Birkenstock to drop. Oh, he told us. He came all the way to Washington and said, that's all there is. And then there was another woman. There was another tattoo. There was another, uh, Borish behavior or something else.

6:10Why? Because he liked Talleriko and El Sayed. They don't have anything else in the bio that would make you forgive all this or look past it. Where's the business you built? Where's the state you governed? Where's the disease you cured? They don't have a record of accomplishments that would dislodge this other stuff from your mind and allow you to give them the space in the grace, perhaps, to say you've changed your mind. Look, he didn't say I wanted to dabble in socialism. He said capitalism is like climate change and white supremacy. He said that a couple of years ago. Right. It's not that long ago. And at the same time, AOC has tried to say, look, we're now in woke two. But these guys are still watching all the reruns. I think it's like they want a new classification for stuff that you said when no one knew who you were and it didn't matter. They said things to get attention. They get attention there in the news. Now they don't want you to look at what they said. Compare that to Trump. If you go back and you look at his so-called inflammatory comments about the border and about

7:15Iran, he doesn't have to walk back a thing. He's never had to walk back a thing. Consistency for him is honesty. It's the constant dripping Dana that wears away the stone. Progressives love to do and it bites them in the butt when reality shows up. To sound smart, they apply academic critical theory rhetoric to neutral economic institutions. It used to be free markets. Then it's called late stage capitalism. Private property is accumulation. Commerce has commodification. And if life is unfair, well, that's oppression. Everything is a system of power that must be dismantled. And it's great to be a liberal because if something they say is bad, you just have to dismantle it. Never, ever mantle. It's like, why don't you try man-telling instead of dismantling? Have you ever thought about something to replace something? Imagine in any occupation, like a plumbery, your toilet's clogged.

8:16This is like I got to destroy the toilet. Don't you have a plumbing snake? No, it's a system that's corrupt. That'll be $5,000. They're always dismantling. They're never man-telling. L. Syed said, if you go to, you can achieve the American dream twice as fast if you move to Canada. Because you can move faster up the ladder. That's because the ladder is shorter and the rungs are closer together. Your standard of living does not improve when you climb Canada's ladder. It's like being a bench warmer for the NBA and leaving to become a starter in a wreck league. You are still tall. But anyway, I also love that he believes there are better ways to express patriotism than fireworks, but he'd again, he gives none. It's like, okay, first, here's what I would tell you. You know, I think you're going to have a great acknowledgement, right, followed by lighting, a candle for lived experience, and then a moment of silence for the atmosphere. Because here's the bottom line. Progressives are offended by joy. Because they believe that joy is a finite pie.

9:17If Jesse's having fun, that means heraldism. So when they see somebody laughing, they believe that they're, we're laughing because somebody else is crying. That is how the power structure invades every thought that they have. I take this from you. If I'm having fun, you're sad. Right. But herald and I can have fun together. That's true.
