The Parnas Perspective — I Went Back to Mitch McConnell's House for Major Update!. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
I just got back from Mitch McConnell's house. We're going to talk about what I witnessed today as we have more updates about Mitch McConnell's whereabouts, an issue that I will not let go no matter how much some people want me to. At the same time, Trump had one of his strangest days on truth social. I think I've ever seen from him floating, changing the name of New Mexico to a new America, claiming he owns the moon, admitting he's made hundreds of billions of dollars to trading, and more. And it comes this evening as we learned that Dr. Amy Acton, the Democratic nominee for Governor of Ohio, was attacked by an armed individual today at an event near a fair in Youngstown, Ohio. We have all the latest right now, along with a plane crashing the Miami International Airport, a cargo airplane. It's not immediately clear how many people have been injured. As always, if you can subscribe, support this work, like comment share, things like the McConnell beat and others or things that I will never stop talking about, and your support allows that to happen, your support allows us to beat Fox News every single day.
So if you can subscribe, get the word out, and let's talk about what I saw at Mitch McConnell's house. The pressure on him to explain what's actually going on with this health is only getting louder. Once again, the windows were draped shut. The Capitol police vehicles were nearby, and answers are becoming harder and harder to come by, even harder than we've already seen. But he's facing pressure right now from even Republicans who say it's time to put up or shut up. A Fox News host said that Mitch McConnell, if he does not come back by mid-September, it is time for him to resign. I'm from the same state. From the same state. Yeah. I'll say it. If he does not come back in September, he needs to step down. Enough of this already. How many months has it been since we've even heard from him directly? I don't want to see proof-of-life photos from a hospital bed anymore. He needs to get in front of a microphone and prove that he can do this job. And if he can't, he needs to step aside. Period. That's it. We got to go. Hot take from Joe Connolly.
All right. Coming up. The A. Got to go. But it also comes as James Comer, one of Mitch McConnell's colleagues. James Comer serves as the chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Mitch McConnell is in the United States Senate, colleague in Congress, says that he expects Mitch McConnell to come back allegedly in mid-June, but he doesn't really know anything. Because he actually hasn't spoken to McConnell himself. He's just relying on McConnell. Staff tells him. Mr. Chairman, I want to get your take on another topic. A few days ago, you mentioned that you had been in contact with Senator Mitch McConnell's staff and expect the lawmaker to return to Capitol Hill later this month on September 14th after the recess. My question to you, when is the last time you spoke to the Senator yourself? It's probably been two months since I've spoken to Senator McConnell. I certainly haven't spoken to him since he had his accident, but I have spoken to staff. I actually spoke to a staff again today in anticipation of this question, because I was asked this question at a press conference last week.
And I said it and it got a lot of press all over the United States. So I wanted to make sure what I said was right. And what I'm going to say now is that they fully expect him to be back in the Senate in September that he's undergoing physical therapy. So I have not spoken to Senator McConnell, but I do speak to his staff, many of whom are from my congressional district. So I certainly hope to see him in the Senate in the next couple of weeks when they come back. And hopefully if he's not, there'll be a reason why and the Senator will be able to explain that to American people. But hopefully he'll be back in two weeks. You said if not, is there some concern he will not be coming back to Washington later this month? I've been told by the staff they expect him to be back in the Senate in September. So I sure hope that's an accurate statement. That's what the staff told me. I've worked very closely with him over the past nine and a half years, and they've never once lied to me. So I have confidence at that.
And I'm hopeful the same because he's been a big present to Kentucky for a long time that he's wrapping it up. That he's not going to have any more days left. Not even Comer knows. He tries to know, but he doesn't know. And every person I talk to, everyone I ask around Mitch McConnell, no one will give me a straight answer continuously. It's been almost 90 days. September 14 is D day here. We'll see if Mitch McConnell comes back in the Senate. But it comes on a day where Donald Trump had one of his craziest explosions I think I've ever seen on Treat Social. We're going to go through it one at a time because I think it's important that we see the current American president. Starting at 11.54 a.m., he posted an AI image of him in Robert DeNiro holding a Trump as my president shirt. Then he posted an image at 147 saying AI image of him in George Washington writing horses. Another one of him in George Washington at the White House. Then another one of him, renaming like America, Lake Ontario is like America.
Right afterwards he posted this suggesting that he wanted to rename New Mexico as New America because Mexico was the name of New Mexico. You also have him posting things like the Moon is ours, declaring ownership over the Moon, which the United States cannot do. You have him posting himself in day trading, stock trading inside the Oval Office, saying admitting in a way laughing in our faces, saying that quote, I made hundreds of billions of dollars on stocks and many other types of holding for the United States of America, not myself. All I do is get criticized, he says, by the radical left. Democrats, very unfair, but what can you do? He then posted one of the most, just I mean horrific attacks on Debbie Dingell in Congresswoman from Michigan using her late husband to attack her, saying quote upon his death, I gave Congressman John Dingell the royal send off maxed out his wife Debbie Dingbat, called me and thank me profusely while crying uncontrollably. She couldn't believe I would do such a nice thing since then,
she has said nothing but bad about your favorite president. Me every time I see that third-rate loser ripping me, I'm amazed because I'm a loyal person. I don't do things like that, but that's okay. It's politics, however, it shouldn't be that way. And he continued to post this afternoon, saying he ran as a failing nation, saying that Mar-a-Lago is the best club in the world, posting him in a trash truck, saying that the trade of Oramu's is open again, it's not, another image of him with military robots, him with blowing up cargailand. I mean, you name it, he's posting it dozens and dozens of times. And it's just getting order and order this afternoon. On top of all of that, I mean, Trump is confirming that should get more attention, he's essentially admitting that he's making hundreds of billions of dollars off of the presidency. That's the kind of admission that would normally dominate a new cycle on its own, but on a day, when he was also renaming states and claiming ownership of a celestial body, it's competing for every air time with everything else he posted. And it also comes as we're learning this afternoon of a horrific act of political violence.
Amy Acton, the Democratic nominee for Governor of Ohio, released the following statement. While attending Canfield Fair, an armed individual lunge, a doctor Acton injuring multiple people. Dr. Acton and Erica, grateful to Swift and decisive action of law enforcement and are praying for the recovery of those injured. It's kind of violence has no place in Ohio. Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate, and vitriol that pits us against each other. Dr. Acton was attacked and it's unopfully clear whether she was injured or anyone else was injured. This is serious. This is serious. What the hell are we doing right now? And also comes as we're learning tonight of a plane crash in Miami. What you're seeing are images from Miami International Airport where a ground stop was in effect, a Boeing 767 Amazon plane crash and there appear to be multiple injuries but we don't know yet. I'll have more updates for you soon. As always, if you can subscribe, support this work.
