How soon could Saudi Arabia develop a nuclear bomb

Saudi Arabia is currently at least 5 to 10 years away from developing its own nuclear weapon if it relies on building an indigenous domestic program from scratch. However, that timeline could shrink to months or a few years if the kingdom pursues an alternative path, such as purchasing an off-the-shelf weapon or acquiring weapons-grade material from a foreign ally.
