1:00Love it. I love seeing the different pictures of like where you're watching and how you're watching on MSG. I got a bunch yesterday and it was pretty cool. The, you know, the channel guide. People sent me a lot of different. I got a ton of tweets of pictures of the channel guide. Something about seeing your name in the channel guide, man. Yeah, it was, it was cool. It feels like big time. Something to watch. Keep an eye on. I should say. Kevin O'Connell, KO City and me up in Minnesota. Minnesota. Yeah. So we know Kyle Murray is their starting quarterback. He just announced that Carson Wentz is the backup. If you're the JETS, just, just jets. It's a democracy is a situation you should be watching, right? Not as a, oh, maybe he could be a savior. Just as a, his a young guy that like, you know, had a minute, he won the job as a rookie. He didn't got hurt. Like, there could be a little reclamation project situation there that if you wanted to just get a little deeper in your quarterback room and not have it cost you a lot, that

2:03might be it. So, I guess it really depends on how you felt about him in the draft. Like if you were interested in a table like them, he did. Yeah. And if you liked him, then he would be on your radar. If you didn't like him coming off an injury, you're not going to all of a sudden fall in love room, right? He hasn't really played enough to get you to change your mind. So, if you're a team that thought about drafting him, he was on your board. You liked him. Just didn't get him for whatever reasons. Minnesota beat you to it or you just liked somebody better at that particular moment. Then yeah, he probably would be on your radar. If you didn't like him, then he's not on your radar because nothing's happened. It's going to change your mind in the affirmative. So it really depends on how Mugi feels about him. And if he's right now the third quarterback, it doesn't look like there's any history, right? He wasn't given the job after they decided to move on from Sam Darnel. They went out and got Kyler Murray, which was a reclamation project for sure.

3:04And now he's won the job. And now Carson Wentz has taken the backup away from JJ. And this is an organization that likes reclamation projects. They like to make what the back is worth. And they've taken JJ McCarthy and basically thrown him in the bin and said, we can't do anything with him. Not yet anyway. And now the red flag is the obvious one. Here's a quarterback whisperer as a coach. And he's keeps pushing this kid down the line. That should tell you something. If he's like, I don't see enough in him, that's a concern. That's a concern. Well, don't you think? It is, but this is also the same organization that decided to move on from Sam Darnel and he goes out and wins a Super Bowl in Seattle. Right? They don't get everything right. Or they can fix quarterbacks, but maybe they're not really good at grading who should play or not. So I don't know. I don't know how much you are. But when you are quarterback, desperate franchise like the Jets, every situation is one

4:06you have to just follow and pay attention to. Don't you think? Every situation like Baker was until it wasn't. Well, that's what Minnesota is doing with Kyler Murray. You keep an eye on everybody. And it's like, listen, I don't care what you think about him. I think I could fix that guy. Or at least I can get something out of him. And the same thing with Sam. They fixed them. They won what 14 games with them, but it became money. And I guess at the time they figured, well, we don't want to landlock JJ McCarthy because we like him. But that turned out to be a mistake because now the guy that you liked and let Sam walk is now your third string quarterback. That doesn't make a lot of sense. But I got a trivia question for you. Okay. I'm ready. It was announced by Saturday Night Live that Jaylen Brunson is going to be a host. How about that? And that's cool. That is very cool. He will become by my research the 36th athlete in the history of SNL. Don't make me name the other person. No, I will not do that. Thank you. To host SNL in their history. There are he will be the fourth New York athlete slash sports celebrity.

5:12The fourth to host. I'll put it to this way. He'll be the fourth with New York sports ties. I got a host Saturday night. Well, the first one, Jeater. Jeater is that's a good. Eli Manning. That's right. That's right, Bob. Anthony thinks he has. I had Eli. Oh, he liked. He liked. He liked. He liked. Jeater. Now think about what I said. He's an athlete. So New York ties. New York, yes. But athlete and this goes for the 36th as well. He's not an athlete, but he's a sports personality, not an announcer, but a sports executive, I guess you could say. Executive. If I give you one more hint, you'll get it, I think. What are some executives? Let's just throw out some positions. I think it's a good thing to have a general manager, a team president, an owner, an owner.

6:13Oh, George Steinbrunner. There you go, George Steinbrunner. I didn't know Steinbrunner back. Back, back. I did. I want to say like sometime in the early 80s, Steinbrunner hosted George Steinbrunner. I thought you made appearances. I didn't realize that he hosted. Oh, wow. Now you got to go back and find that one. When did you think it was in the 70s? Oh, I really liked that. I think it was in the 80s, 80s, 80s, 80s. It was early 80s that he hosted. I'm going to look that up. He hosted October 20th, 1990. Oh, 90s, that way. I thought it was earlier than that. He was just before he was suspended. I was just saying 1990. That sounds like a really cool vintage George as far as winning. That was a memorable, memorable George Steinbrunner at all. I tell you, crap. Wow, so that was that one, 90. How many NBA LeBronz, Donnet? LeBron? Jordan. Yeah. Barkley. Barkley, we know did it because his Nirvana thing is all over this hilarious.

7:14Yeah. Shaq. Shaq, remember Shaq or Curry? No, not Curry. Shaq's entertained. Now, you got to get entertainers. Of course, the only hockey player was Wayne. Wayne, of course. I think that was the NBA. Oh, Bill Russell's dad. Bill Russell. Why, what was that? 1979. Yeah, that makes sense. Bill Russell hosted though. That's pretty good. Barkley actually hosted the most out of them. Yeah. He was great. But the Nirvana one is great. My mom's favorite band, Nirvana. And like Kurt Cobain goes like, maybe Tiffany's. It's awesome. But the G, I don't remember the Steinbrunner one. Not all. No, I don't. The Geter one, I remember he dressed in drag. That was hilarious. Yes, yeah. But Eli's to me seemed like it was the best. Like he had some really good bits. The one where he's in the court and he's got to describe the emoji that he sent that you up.

8:18That was funny. But not least the athletes have done some pretty good jobs on that. So. I wonder, like, first of all, for Jaylin. Does his monologue will be sneaky funny? Because he's dry, humor, deadpan. Like it's, he's good. And I guarantee you he'll get a good writer to help him. Does anybody want to help him? How much do you think is town's heart? I mean, you think, oh, G's got to be in one skip where he just, you know, just says smile. He says nothing because there's some funny things about the team that I guarantee they're going to use. The beauty of this. And I didn't see the date that he's going to be on. But obviously that's the 26th. Yeah, the 26th couple of weeks. Yeah, so end of the month. They'll start coming back, right? By the 26th, like, we're camp open. The guys are back. So you're going to see a lot of guest appearance. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. And how much like, well, they, it's going to be, it's going to be, it should be funny.

9:23If you've ever seen him in heart and their podcast, it's actually really funny. So the two of them together, I think Josh makes Jalen funnier. So I'm curious how much, Josh, Josh will be involved in this. It's around the same time that heart has a bobble head giveaway at Yankee Stadium, by the way. Yeah, how about that? So that he just won up his friend. Oh, I got a bobble head now. Yankee Stadium. Listen, I know people on. I'm facing a personnel. I know people like to beat up on Saturday night live that it's not as good as it used to be. And every generation has their favorite cast, but it's still a thing, man. It's been around since 1975 hosting that is such an honor. Didn't we say this because remember they were, they were in, what do they call it? Like they just were in reruns. They weren't in season. Right. Right. So because I said to myself, they win the championship, he'll probably on Saturday live this Saturday. And then it's like, oh, no, because they had the parade was the Thursday, right? But then it's like, no, they're not live right now.

10:23They weren't live. So I, I, I guarantee you, they're going to do it before. I just remember how excited everybody was around having, when Jack used an Eden host, but just to be in the opening model. And the other, his brothers were there too. It was a three of them. Well, it was just, I think it was him and Quim. Quim and Quim were on the team. Oh, that's right. Luke wasn't on the team forgot about that. And, and, and the two goal medalist on the women's side, Tyler, who scored the goal. That's right. And, and, and they made fun of them. The girls, the women met with like, chirping the boys. And they, and they, and they're interaction and how happy they were for each other. I thought it was really, that was really cool. Yeah. And the story with that was like, because we were in St. Louis. So like, I just know the top, we landed it, the show had already started. So we were thinking, how did he get there? That he's probably going to, he's going to probably be in a skit later on in the show. But they probably couldn't count on that. As you don't know. But he was able to get, he left the right after the game separately.

11:23That's what's much as I, I always say with the devils. If you're a devil fan, you got to love Luke. And he will be honored at some point, because he's, he put the devils on the mat. He's a little. But if Louis was still around, I don't think he would have allowed Jack to fly separately from the team to go beyond Saturday night live. He fly with the team. Yeah. But so many missed opportunities. The whole team goes with you. But that was a big deal, man. Oh, I forget. We forget. It was in Saturday Night Live, it's still a big deal. So congratulations. You got it, buddy. I remember back in the 70s when it was new. Fran Tarkinson was in a skit with Lorraine Newman that I remember. Yeah, 1977. He was a Viking at the time. Was he? Oh, well, okay. Well, I don't know whether he hosted, but I remember a skit when he and Lorraine Newman were talking on the bed.

12:27I guess the punchline of the skit was, hey, Fran, I wonder if you can scramble in bed or something like that. He did host. He did host the 1977. Oh, okay. Well, thanks for taking my call. I think you guys are great. Congratulations on all your accomplishments. You're the latest one being MSG. I missed Peter today. I think he's got a lot of... It's a lot of soul to it. And a younger approach. I'm 76 and I like that younger approach. I like that. That's cool, man. Thank you, James. There's not a lot of people in your demographic that are fans of Peter. That is fair. So I'm sure that he's not a lot of very excited to hear that. There's not a lot of people in your demographic that Peter's a fan of. Oh, we've learned. He mispokest it. No, that's cool. And yeah, I was doing my research. I don't remember him being on, but in 1977, he was already a Viking. He was a Viking, and he was a giant for a while. Giant's weren't very good, although I think it was the 70s and they finished eight and six,

13:27but missed the playoffs because back in the day, it was real hard to make the playoffs in the NFL. They went through on wild cards like you are now. Right. And then he went back to Minnesota and then he became a TV guy for a while. Right? Yeah, do you remember that he did TV, but do you remember the show he was on? That's incredible. Yeah, that was a crazy show. Who was some of the people who was Catholic? Yes, great pull, man. That is a good pull. John David. John is his name. You are JD, but John Davidson. You are doing a terrific job. I remember the show. It took a prevision today. I can feel it. People would do incredible, or they would just tell stories about incredible things. It was a really strange thing. They had regular people on that would tell crazy stories about things that they've done. And I remember, I'll never forget that that's incredible. This was taken us back, we're showing old school, that the microscopic things that live on your skin, if you go like a super microscope, they'll find things that you would never be able to see.

14:27I remember, I freaked out. You see these, they look like aliens, spider, who was like scratching. I went to bed, that night, and I'm like, oh my god, I'm like, scratch it. I'm like, ugh. But he, and I'm like, wait a minute, he's a quarterback in the NFL. Why is he doing that? Tiger Woods was on that's incredible. That's, oh really? I know the Merv Griffin, but he was on that's incredible too. But the dad took him off. Yeah. Very interesting. See, television was just nuts. Oh, back in the day. Well, remember, television was what now is social media. Back then, that's where you got all that crazy stuff. You know what we did the other day, we're trying to get Marko off the towel, because he's got a bit of an issue with it. Yeah. Where they all did. And we're telling, put the TV in. Yeah. And I'm telling Nancy, I said, do you realize the tablet we were kids was the TV? Remember they were trying to get us off the TV? And now I'm using the TV to kind of wean him off the computer. We do that with Cali. You know, you can watch that on your television.

15:28You don't have to have it on a little screen. You can have it on a nice big screen, right in your room. Look at that. Just watch that. Like, you can watch YouTube all you want. Just on your television. Yeah, just, well, I'd rather watch in a game or story something, you know. Rather than just brain rot. Yeah. The Reels. Oh my God. Or just the games that he's playing. It's crazy. Jonathan and L.A., you're on ESPN New York. What's up, Jonathan? Oh, I got it. It's funny that Michael K. which was talking about that in his show that in case one of the infielders, and by the way, the Saturday night like conversation is great. It started to break it out. Yankee talked, my old boy. Oh, let's go. But Michael K. was saying that in case one of the infielders gets hurt, we'll call it a ropey. We'll call it a card thing that it should bring a ropey. Why? Because he's smashing in triple A. He's hitting home runs all over the place. Now, I'm asking you guys and all Yankee fans out there listening. If he does come up this week or in the next home stand, whatever, are we going to bowl on?

16:31Are we going to expect this day to go five from five? I personally think we should give a kid another chance. He deserves it. He's going off at triple A. And this is the right time. Because let's be real. He is going to be our second basement next year. All right. So we got to deal with that. Now, we're going to be the second basal. Well, Jack, jazz will be gone, but Caboero could still be a part of it. But Caboero wants it. I want, I've said it before. I think they want it to work with Fulpe. I think Cashman does because he wants to be proven right. He wants to be proven right. Even though it'll be right adjacent because he's playing a different position. Can we play her the week? All right. He was 11 for 21 with three doubles, three home runs, six RBI's, eight runs scored, and five stolen basins. Yeah. And that's an option. So there's a lot of offense that he's providing. But I still believe there's a stigma now that he's carrying. And there's a lot of people that feel like he really can't until he goes somewhere else. Blossom at the major league level because every time he puts that uniform and steps out in that field,

17:32the first thing he does wrong, you'll hear the groom. No, you'll hear it. You'll hear it. But is it a Reese? It's a different position. He went down to the Monor leagues. He was humbled to answer Jonathan's question. I think he'll be received well by the fans. I think the fans will give him an ovation because if I know New York fans like I know them, they like a good story. And they didn't like him at short. They didn't like all of the issues with the errors and not hitting. But he went down to the Monor leagues. He's raking there, playing a different position. I think they're going to want him to work too. I think they'll give him a nice reception. What I'm seeing on social media is that he won't have any pressure. Bull, he'll have to be in my car. Oh my god, no. Because now you're talking about it's you're in the midst of a pennant race. If you were to get called up, if you made the postseason roster, believe me, they'll be pressure. And you know what I do? And I don't think the reset of a different position kind of helps you. Maybe, but it was never about defense. His offense is why his defense fell off. All right. Let's be honest. His offense and his struggles at the plate were why he then became a...

18:33He was a... First of all, the gold glove thing was hilarious. But after that, he was really what he was, which is a average to above average fielder. Then he went to a D minus fielder, but it wasn't because he can't field. We know he can. He's a problem. He's a problem. It was in the head. And so that's what I worry about. And I always say this about some athletes, it just can't play here. Because it's in their head. And it's always going to be in his head. And at first mistake, and he'll want to prove himself, he'll want it so bad. Because he wants this so bad. He's a Jersey kid who grew up in Yankee's vent, love Derek Jeter. He's going to want it so bad that I wonder if it eats him up again. And if it does, it's just going to be tough to watch. But I want it for him. I do. And I think he's the same. And I'm just saying. He'll be giving a little road here to see what he can do. And maybe he takes advantage of it. I mean, he went down to 10 home runs. His OPS is 1.023. He's batting 284. And the numbers are terrific. Come on. But Derek Jeter made shortstop a thing.

19:33Yeah. With the Yankee. Yeah. Even bigger than center field. Yeah. That's exactly what it did. It came the center field. So going to second base, fans don't love jazz. He's going to leave as a free agent. He might have a chance here to get a new life as the second baseman of the Yankee. I think he should get a chance. Don't you? I'm going to do it. You're going to do it now. And we'll give that chance. And there may be a point where we get to the final week of the season where the race clenched the division, the Yankees clenched the one wild card and they're playing games where they would like to go play. So just see what it looks like. And let's see what you can do. Get ready for the postseason. And the games won't have the meaning because they're locked in. There may very well be a few games there. Like if the race went the first game of the series, the final week, and clinch, the tiebreaker, and the Yankees are kind of mathematically eliminated, this took it to be six games left. Yeah. Where you're like, you know what, go play second. Let's see what it looks like. Yeah. I'm telling you. I'm going to watch this. I think he has suddenly created this very, very interesting dynamic that could happen

I mean, he loves football more than Disney, if you can believe it. Are you sure? It's a debate. But he's like, yeah, it does a feel away because we're coming off of Labor Day. So yesterday felt like Monday. Today feels like Tuesday. And all the hype was around the Australia game, which he knew was on Thursday. And I'll be honest with you, like I was kind of thinking that was the start of the football

21:40season. Like I forgot that's right. The defending champions got a play on opening night. And it just so happens to be the team that they beat the Super Bowl, the Patriots. And it's a great match up. And it's a great game. And it's going to be fun on NBC. And I'm like, but it's Wednesday. Right. So I think once they kick off, I won't think about it and it'll be on. But like it's just not this week is messed you up because it has. There's no Monday because of Labor Day. And you got football on Wednesday. So you're going to think tomorrow must be Friday, but it's not. So whatever it is, it's football season. We are getting though Tariq Al-Nkhalnsworth, with Stark and Hardtunk. So you're getting a team right out of the gate for NBC. No, this is it. Yeah, it's a few early on. Then he just threw it in the other guys home. I when he first was when he's doing games, was it was it CBS or maybe it was NBC?

22:40Come on. When back when NBC had the games, like here's a guy, not a fan. I thought he was hokey. I just wasn't a fan. He's changed. He's he's grown on me and I think he's one of the best. I really he's an acement to me or the gold standard. Call me crazy, but I think broadcasters like athletes need time to develop. And I think with some, even when the people get, oh, I'm tired of this guy or is no good, I've if you look at it, to me, the longer you let somebody do something, the more appealing they become. Yeah, unless you're an abrasive personality, which he's not. He is. He's syrupy and sweet, right? And that bothered me, but I guess as I'm getting older and then you pay attention to the analysis, which is top notch and it's different, but it's it's amazing because it's always anytime this change, everybody hates change. Oh, this guy's terrible. I can get you know what I mean? People hate change, but what you have to do is give it time and eventually it just becomes

23:45now the new comfort food. That's all it's and that's what he's really become because you think about it, we've got a lot of change everywhere else. But he, you know, and Troy have kind of been, you know, like Roma was new and that was a new sound and for a minute it was like, this sounds cool. Then you're like, all right, I'm tired of this, right? But you know, eight minutes been doing a long time and for a while people said, eight minutes was boring. Now it's like they're a really good duo. Yeah, just it is. There's so many of them now, like when we were grew up, right? All you had was you had the Monday night football and if you were old enough to remember Kosell and Gifford and Meredith and Meredith, right? You knew that. Yes. But still there was no Thursday night games. I'm not like, yeah, there was Thanksgiving and there was a row game here there. But it was like, all right, you had a summer all a man. CBS had summer all a man. Yeah, they were this cool. And then NBC had Embergen Olsen and those were your voices. Yeah, that's what you listen. You watched your local game, but then if you ever did get the national game, if the, you know, the, and it didn't happen a lot because the jets were and the giants were

24:50always separated. So sometimes you got knocked away from the national games, but the jets were good. You'd get Embergen Olsen and the giants were good. You'd get summer all the maddened. And now I think it's got so fragmented because you have so many different between now Amazon and now ESPN. Well, here's the, and now you got NBC. This is the shock tomorrow night. To me, the bigger thing will be tomorrow night because of the snowflakes, right? Noah Eagle who we love. Yeah. And he's now becoming ubiquitous. Sure. He's everywhere now, right? And he's talented with Luke Kekeley. It's a new sound. That's a new voice. That's a new sound. And Noah, Noah, Noah sounds so much like his dad that it almost doesn't sound like a new sound, right? Because he's very simple. But Noah's good, but still it's going to take a while for him to become like a voice of the NFL. Right, but because because I end does a lot of NFL, it's, it's not like a strange new voice, right? That was a similar voice, but Kekeley's going to be a new sound. Palace Arrow and, uh, and MJ are, are doing the reporting.

25:51So that's going to be different. And then we get into the, you know, once we get to Sunday, then it's all the usual suspects and we'll have Peter do the lineup that we always love to do the announcer lineup on the Friday. Michael Ford us on that forever. But I always thought that I loved it just because it's a thing with the drops that it's growing up as a kid. Maybe that's because I'm a certain age. Who's doing this? And Michael, Michael likes football. He's not a football guy. There's, there's football guys and then there's people that like football. Michael was somebody that liked football. If you're a football guy, who's on your game this week? Like, and you're like, oh, mad in the summer or doing the giants. I don't know. That's been, you know, who's doing Jets Titans? Because Jets Titans. No, that's, I don't, by guessing this person, it's going to come across as I'm being disrespectful. Well, because I just know I did. That feels like a Spiro D. Yeah, it's, yeah, it's Spiro. I love Spiro. I love Spiro. Listen, it's a narrow archer ladder. The two guy, and if it was on Fox, again, I'm a fan. But my guess would be Chris Myers. Like that's just, you know, you know what I'm saying?

26:52And listen. Adam Golden, there was, there was a time. There was a Jersey Shore. There was a time. If we played this game 15 years ago, I have Chris Myers. And the guy is in the hall of fame. But there'd be a time where it smells like a Sam Rosen game. Like you know Sam. Yeah, because they know who they know where they are. They just knew that they were getting the, they were like, they were like, a lot of jet game. They were like the five percenters in the sense that the five percent of the nation's getting that game. It's probably going to be a Sam Rosen. Our guy, our guy Kenny Albert, who we love. Who is, I guess, you know, he always pairs with. Got a drop. Oh, with the drop. Got the drop. Oh, I thought they'd do it. Well, yeah. Yeah. No, not that drop. Yeah. Jonathan Filma. Um, what game? What, what, what game do you think, Kenny? Like where would you, where do you think he'd be? I guess Kenny, Kenny by the way, did he just do, because he just did a baseball, he actually

27:52is doing another one. He just did a baseball game in Rolly North Carolina. He, yeah, he just was in Baltimore. Yeah. He did baseball. We know he's doing football. We obviously know he's doing hockey. Is this the first calendar year he's, he did not do an NBA game. He's got a shuffleboard tournament tomorrow. Yeah, but Kenny, Kenny has done all four sports for years on the professional level. This might, I was going to text him, but I didn't know if that would depress him. Mm. All right. This may be the first calendar year in forever for him that he will not do an NBA game, because he, I mean, he did a lot of nick games. My guess, because I think he's the third in the order. Okay. I'm not, not seeing if I'm sure that I got him a fox. I got it. It's Fox. I would say one o'clock. He is doing saints at Lyon. Come on. Yeah. Come on. Do you know your boy? Do I know my Kenny? You know your boy. He does a lot of saints. And probably, Vilma, it's good to do. Yeah, he's in Detroit.

28:53Detroit. He, um, and then the team he was on before was with Moose and Sarah Goose. Yeah. Sarah Goose would be on the field. That was actually a, that was a fun broadcast. I can't, I'm telling, I say this. Michael would get like, visibly upset at me when I would say this. What? I think Kenny's better than his dad. I think he's more versatile and is less stick. Now, I love more believe me. I love. Mark. Mark was a very entertaining listen. Yeah. That's a script. Right. His ability to describe. He was well described and he was funny and he like, he would go on Letterman and do the top that. Yeah. Amazing. Mark was the original content creator. 29:56at the garden, walk out of these studios and skip, it's after Kenny made a mistake. Because if I heard a Kenny mistake, it would be like, Oh my God, he is human. It's okay to screw up because I, and he probably has done it like three times in front of me. I can't remember. I honestly. And then his mistakes are maybe misidentifying a player for like a second and then he'll correct themselves. Correct. Yeah. Or a date or a, or a, but there's a, his ability to recall and it's all the sports. He's just somebody that like you always said, like I wish, if, if I knew that much in my brain that I could remember and recall, like how good you'd be at your job and that's why he's, he's, he's, you can't not be one of the best if you can do all those sports. You know, here's what's, you know, Kofi and working with Kenny's easy, by the way. Oh, he's in absolute jam. I've done analysts next to him and it's unreal. How is the thing is I don't, we've, we've, I've interviewed him a bunch of times.

30:57I've never worked together because you, well, you're both played by play guys, right? Well, and also because if I'm there, it's probably because Kenny can't be. Yeah. Okay. 31:58Loved the NFL. I was nine years old and 56. And Sundays were always special to me. I didn't even take jobs as a teenager in my early 20s if I had to work on Sunday because of the NFL. But, you know, it's kind of bugged out now. Football starts to day two, and you know, like you guys said, then we got it on Thursday, then we got all day Sunday, then we got Sunday night, then we got one day, you know, and it goes to be like a diamond. It was rare, you know, you got it on Sunday, you got, you know, up over the number just Sunday, Monday, then Thursday, it's starting to be burnt out. And it got Christmas. I mean, you know, it's, it's, it's, I don't know, it's there's a little too much. And just in the conspiratorial, you know, I'm with that, you guys are doing, how much of these extra guards you think has to do with the partnerships that the league now has with these gambling acts. Absolutely. Well, George, it's all over with that. George, it's literally that because they want, like Netflix wants a standalone. Why? Because they know if, if I'm, if I'm doing a game on a day

33:02with his other games, nobody's, like, like when you're CBS and Fox, you're giving up, you're giving choices, and they know they're competing with each other. But Netflix doesn't want to compete for anybody watching a game because streaming means I can't go to Red Zone, I can't jump to this. And they might not go see them. So they want the exclusive. And that's, that's why they do it. But I, I think it's less about the gambling and more about, now if you want to say the reason that it's so popular, it's just the fact that all of these networks, like you said, they want the standalone. Yeah. And the only way to give them a standalone is you're going to have to create another day. You have to create another password. That's what's in IP came, right? That's right. For, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, and now you're, you're probably going to see it at some point with all these games going to Europe, though, that 930 window is probably going to go to someplace else. So you're going to see football full time, 931, 425. And then somebody will say, listen, I'll give you a billion dollars if you give me a Tuesday game. You think the NFL is going to say, no, we don't play on Tuesday. Are they going, you know, we're playing on Tuesday now.

34:03So we just, they need to work on Christmas. It's Friday and Saturday still Friday untouchable for, no, for, no, for two reasons. I don't, well, I'll give you a reason for both. Friday is still a very dead time for, for, for ratings Friday night. That's a very difficult time to get the best rating. Okay. So I don't think they'll put an example. They always can get a rating. Well, that they, that you don't go up later in the year, like December, you can do Friday because it's later in the year. But, but, but, but, but, but, you know, I'm thinking it's time time. It's time. Now the Brazil game was on a Friday, prime time, and then we do have the, the black Friday, but they always do that in the afternoon. Right. So you'll have Friday in the afternoon. I don't think you'll have a Friday and Saturday they, they do want to try to adhere to not going up against college football. So you'll see the Saturdays, once college football is over, they'll put Saturday games on, kind of in lieu of the Thursdays. It'd be interesting. But I think Friday, Friday, Anthony's right. They do have the, the black Friday. So, so Saturdays, the no flies don't I think Saturday until college,

35:06until college football is over. And it isn't just thing. It's the one thing that the NFL won't take on. I don't, I honestly don't think it's a pocket to the country. College football is king. I, but I think it's more of the fact that they're just kind of doing them the favor. Do you think so? A favor? You think the NFL gives a rip about this SEC? Yeah, but I do think it's just something it's, it's, it's, let them have their day. Yeah, I honestly, so the NFL looks at Christmas day and goes, what take that from the NBA? The NBA is like, it's the one day we get. The day of the college football, it just, listen, it's there, it's their minor league now, right? I mean, I just, I, listen, they may change. So again, if somebody says, listen, I'll give you $10 billion to play a 10 o'clock in the morning. I'm sad. I think you're just saying, nah, you know what I'm going to do. Yeah, take that. So I think I, but I, I, I hear you, you're one quick thing before you go to break, Kofi, who is the unofficial statistician of the show, of the show, sent me a note that Collinsworth did indeed start on NBC when they had games on Sunday afternoon. Right.

36:06Exactly enough. He made his debut September 9th. So it's the anniversary of his debut in 1990. So 36 years ago today, Chris Collinsworth did his first game, bills at Colts. How about that? The NFL doesn't have games on Friday and Saturday from early September to mid December. Because of the sports broadcasting act of 1961. It prohibits the NFL from broadcasting games on Friday nights after 6 p.m. or Saturdays if they are played within 75 miles of a high school or college game. There was an act.

37:07There was a, I need to know the history of this act. Well, the history of the act. Congress. Well, you got to realize the history of broadcasting in the NFL. What is it called? The what? It is called the sports broadcasting act of 1961. My dad would tell me stories. I've said this on the air before where giants home games were all blacked out. Even if the game was sold out, it was blacked out. They did not air home it. So my dad grew up in Patterson, New Jersey. Okay. So in Connecticut, outside the window of the area, so like I guess Northern Connecticut, there would be motels that would offer, all right, for 30 bucks. You can watch the game at the motel and because it's outside the broadcast window. So they would rent rooms for about an hour, but for watching football. So my dad, they'd get a bunch of pizzas, they'd get big case of beer, they'd drive out

38:08there and they'd watch the giant game at a motel in Connecticut. And then just crash because that's the way, because they were so afraid that if they broadcast at the home game, nobody would go. Right? It's, it was different back then. When, when hockey night in Canada started, back when it was, it was, it was hockey night in Canada was on radio, then I went to television in the 60s. They would, they would air the game would start in a second period. They would not air the first period because they did not want people to not go to the game. So they thought if we let them watch on TV, they won't want to pay a ticket and come and building and the tickets back then were the revenue more than exactly the TV deal. And then eventually they realized what we got way more of an audience. Money off the TV. But it just, so 1961, you're talking about that's pre-merger. That's the infancy of everything like so, yeah, and they just, they probably stuck to it. So there you go. And nobody has decided to fight that. Pretty crazy, right? Yeah.

And he was on sports world, so I'm in doing a variety of different, the old NBC sports world, variety of different things. Oh, he's fine. Again, I'm just, I'm having fun because I love Kenny and I have a relationship with Kenny. And I've met Marvel a bunch of times and he's a great guy. Oh, Kenny. Kenny's a lot of police. I mean, I, I, I, I, I believe great. Yeah, but no, I get, I believe in it. I know it's a minority opinion to him. But, no, Marvel, Marvel's great. He was great at boxing and, I guess, he'd go on Letterman and do the top 10, you know, sports moments of the year.

40:09And I, you know, he was, he's a gem. Yeah, he really was. And I mean, I missed those days of having like an NBC sports world, and ABC's Wild World Sports and CBS sports spectacular. Well, that stuff really is what led to ESPN becoming what ESPN became because these shows were just became popular. Highlight shows and, you know, feature shows that you, you showed cool highlights, not just how they won the game. Just a, did you see this catch type highlights and that really what's led to what, what ESPN became and then again, what TV was back then for us growing up is now what social media is for everybody else where you can just, you can just now see it right away. Could you consider this a tryout year for Dart given the new regime? It's all a tryout year.

41:11So like, if you're a quarterback and you're on your rookie deal, the only thing that matters is when you get to year three, does the team want to extend your not? And as we've seen and we saw with the Baker Mayfield contract yesterday, there's really not a middle class of quarterbacks. It's either are you worth like $50 million or is the team moving on from doing, you know, to a different option? So I think if you're Jackson Dart, no matter who the coach, no matter who the general manager is, anything, it's like, are you good enough to get that second contract? And if you do, that means you're the guy. So it's all, you know, it's sort of like when it's like, you know, there's a coach on the hot scene. You know, there's like 10 coaches who aren't on the hot seat and everyone else basically is all the time. So I mean, I would say projection Dart like, he's got to go prove it. I think there's a lot there and I think he will. But yeah, I mean, I think he's in the same boat as, you know, every other quarterback comes rookie deal, like you have to get paid. Well, it's new regime adjacent, right? Because show them, they get the same general manager is there, right? Shane's still there. So you got a new head coach, but you have the general manager that drafted, not only drafted, Dart, but traded into the first round form.

42:12Now a lot of people want to give table more credit for that. I understand where you're coming from, but really how he played, I think they're all rooting for him to be the guy. What will accountability mean inside the Giants organization? I'm curious to see what that means for the Giants. John Harbott is not messing around. He's extremely serious. He's very driven. His team's always played with that same sort of like, tenacity and fight and like tough and like, you know what Raven's players have looked like over the years. I'm really curious to see for the Giants, like how that plays out in the field. Like I know they have some great and tough, the 15-year quarterback take head on hits and obviously scat about the same thing. I'd like it to see the whole team like how much more of a difference does that mentality make? And I expect them to be better. I expect them to be competing for a playoff spot. We'll see if they get there. You hate this. Well, competing for a playoff spot is different than I think they're going to make the playoff. Okay. That's fair. That's fair. That's fair. That's fair.
