You can also watch on the NBC Sports Network. I ran down the draft King's odds after yesterday's soup. The free agency frenzy for the Super Bowl odds. The Ramsier favorite followed by the Seahawks and the Ravens. They're tied. Then it's the Bill's Chiefs Packers Niners Eagles Chargers Lions. And Fritzy wanted to know one of our callers wanted to know where the Broncos. Well, the Patriots are next.

Then the Texans. Then it's the Broncos. Jags and bears. Then it's the Bengals. Bengals have better odds than the Cowboys and the Buccaneers and the Steelers and the Vikings and the Colts and the Commanders. Wow. So you start to look. I guess it's surprising. Now I will be surprised if the Patriots make the playoffs this year. I just think they'll be a little bit of a dip. But they're probably 11th best odds. Then the Texans. They're actually tied with the Patriots. And then the Broncos as well. And as one of the callers said, hey, you know, we're a healthy ankle away from going to the Super Bowl. And you're probably right. The Jags. Jags at plus 2,500. The Bears plus 2,500. Then you got the Bengals plus 3,000. The Cowboys plus 3,500. But the Buccaneers and the Steelers.

Steelers at plus 5,000. Vikings plus 6,000. That'll improve once they get Kyler Murray. In my opinion, the Steelers. I'm assuming Aaron Rogers will be back. I don't know if there's any possibility he could go elsewhere. Or the Steelers would entertain Kyler Murray. But Albert Breer the Monday morning quarterback joined us. Last hour and he said Kyler wants to go to the Vikings. It's just a question of do the Vikings want him. All right. Pull question for the final hour of the program. See, it's going to be what? We got many. We got a million of them up there right now. Maybe some of our most eclectic slash diverse pull questions. Paul, who had the best day yesterday right now? Malik Willis has about 49% of that vote followed by Fernando Mendoza. Yes, Paul? Beyond financially, he was going to get paid anywhere. Did Malik Willis's career get better? Noticeably better? Well, he has a chance to be starting quarterback. On a team that had a fire sale and has very few weapons left in the cupboard.

I don't know. Are you saying he should have stayed in Green Bay? Is a backup quarterback instead of going to Miami? No, I would say was there a better football option out there? Because the money would have probably been equal. I don't think there is. Unless he was going to go to Arizona because it feels like the Vikings are going to go with Kyler Murray. Do you want to go to Arizona? Do you want to go to Miami? Yeah. I mean, if you look at the teams that were maybe interested in him, right? The dolphins, cardinals, browns, jets, maybe with the Steelers, I suppose, could have been. Maybe the Vikings, but maybe they weren't. Maybe that money wasn't right. We might think that there were more people interested in him than there really were. Yeah, and the money, I mean, it's not a lot to get a guy who's going to be a starting quarterback. Three years, and it's $67.5 million total.

That's pretty good. Pretty good. Especially since he just spent $350 million for one year or two. It's a unbelievable bargain. Not exactly that, but close. My numbers might be off a little bit. Yes, Paul. Next year, $20 will make $56.5 million. $55. I double-check this. He's going to make $56.5 to a next year. $55 from Miami, $1.5 from Atlanta. Malik Willis will make $23 million next year. Fernando Mendoza will make $33.5 million. That combines for $56 million. Yeah. So it was a wild day yesterday from start to finish. And still, you know, Tray Hendrickson could end up with the Cowboys. Kyla Murray. He's going to be released tomorrow. And I think he'll end up with the Vikings. The Malik Willis to the dolphins. I wasn't surprised that he went there. I was kind of surprised at the philosophy of the dolphins. Why not just let Quinn Ewers play. And then you'll be in the market for a franchise quarterback next year.

It's probably what Arizona is thinking. They brought in Gardner Minshue there. So it feels like they'll have a room full of backup quarterbacks that somebody has to start there. I like what the Raiders did. They spent some money. But it's only the first day. And, you know, there'll be bits and pieces to fill in. But also, what does this mean for certain teams with the draft? That's what interests me, probably more so, as we move into the second and third day of free agency. All right. So new poll question, Seaton, or did you just clean up the previous questions? That was one. We got a bunch more here. Here's one from the mind of Todd Fritz with their latest moves. And if Fernando Mendoza proves to be the real deal, the Raiders are silver and back. Question mark. Right now, your options there. Are you betcha or easy? They're easy there right now. It's at 77% of that vote. Canceling Magic City night was smart or lame. Right now, the lames have that at 54% of the audience. Let's see. There was another one in here too that I can't seem to find.

Which is a better movie, Wedding Crashers or Old School. That is straight up 50-50 right now. And whose career would you want? Luke Wilson or Owen Wilson? 80% Owen Wilson. Dang, Luke, you're going to take that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Todd. Has Luke been in anything of note very recently? I see him on some phone commercial walking in the desert with a dog, as far as comparing Owen and Luke's career. I don't know what Luke's been in. The reason he buys a loan, I would go Owen as well. Okay. Owen is in a golf series, I think. I don't know what it's called, but I saw the promotional campaign around that. I don't know what Luke's been involved in. Yeah. They've been in the car vets in nice careers there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can you do an impersonation if it's only one word? Like you did your bread farve,

every impersonation I have is essentially one word. There's one word. Yeah. Cores. Cores. Cores. Yeah. All right. We'll get to some phone calls here. Quiet day so far with free agency. Congratulations to Troy and Furman. They have punched their tickets to that big dance. Team USA dropped Mexico. And that was fun to watch. It is one of those where I go, I don't know if I want to watch. And then I watch and I go, why do I say I don't know if I want to watch it? I'm watching Korea against Australia. And I'm going, all right, the environment is pretty good. Pretty good. And now Team USA, I think they have Italy coming up. Is that right? And you throw out the records when those two get together. You just never know. Italy known for their baseball.

Italian baseball is no joke. Yes, Marvin. But here's the thing. The Italian, are they Italian Americans? Or are they like straight from Rome? Like is that Mike Piazza? Like, you know what? I have great grandfather that came over from the old country. I don't know the roster. Maybe you look at the roster and see how many players are from the United States. Yes, Marvin. I just got word from our expert Mario that it's a lot of Italian Americans. Okay. So like the Rockle Ball deli's of the world. Rockle Ball deli. Okay. Yes, Paul. I have the Italy baseball roster up on my screen at all times. But it's, it's probably two thirds USA born quickly looking at it. There's actually players that are born in both Canada and Venezuela on the Italy roster, which is interesting. So I would say it's mostly USA born players. Sunday night basketball and NBC and peacock every Sunday night.

You got Nick's in the Warriors Sunday night on NBC and peacock. We talked a little bit about SGA hitting the game winner last night. And he had a stat line that only one other player. We believe in NBA history. At least when they started keeping these stats, LeBron James, where he went for 35, 15 and no turnovers, also hitting the game winner. Now, Tony in California leads us off final hour. Hey, Tony. Hey, guys, good morning. Oh, I'm so incredibly happy, man. The clippers beat the mix to reach 500, slid into the eighth spot. I'm a believer. We're so good now, even when we lose to the spurs, we make Wendy cry. And he said, quote, it was the toughest game of my career. That's the most physical team in the league. I'm a believer, Dan. I know you're still a little incredulous. I'm going to have to wait. I'm going to play the long game with the clippers there. I'm just curious what happens to Kauai Leonard.

After, you know, they do that investigation. I don't know what the commissioner is waiting on. But it feels like Pablo Torres is still kind of trolling the commissioner of. What are you waiting for here with Kauai Leonard? And somehow does he end up a free agent? Let's see. How about Zack and Knoxville? Hi, Zack. What's on your mind today? Hi, D.P. Thanks for taking my call. Pretty sure that all that magic city gear is going to the same place that the 18 and 0 Patriots Super Bowl gear is going to be. There was a story on the ESPN years ago about how they send that out to Africa. Or, you know, certain places. So there's going to be a bunch of kids walking around with some magic city swag. And I was just wondering if you remember you had that conversation with Jonah Hill about if he was, you know, if he's not as funny, if he since he got skinnier.

Do you think it would have the reverse effect on Todd? If Todd got skinnier, he might be funnier. Wow. You might have heard that about me. Wow. I didn't expect that from Zack. They don't get funnier when they get skinny. And that was totally unnecessary to join a kind of connection. You don't want to talk to him. Yeah, Zack gets it. Zack gets it. A little bit of a reach just to take a shot. How about we try it, Todd? Well, that's something I should be working on. Humor or not. I should be working on trapping some LBs. But I find it hard to believe that as you get slimmer, you would become funnier. That just doesn't seem like that would happen. It's very few funny. Well, Jerry Seinfeld. But you want to see someone that's like kind of out of shape and sweaty and angry and sarcastic. So, well, how come I'm not funny? You know, Dave Chappelle's not Chubby. Adam Lee, you know, Chris Rock's not Chubby.

There's a lot of people with, you know, are you following Will Ferrell's fan? I think it's easier probably to laugh with and act somebody. If they got good material and you're like, thank goodness, I don't look like that. And they're saying something funny. They got a better chance of getting some chuckles. Okay. All right. Thank you, Zack. Yeah, thanks, Zack. Yeah. Yes, Paul. You can go the other way, Todd, and put on 20 and see if you can get even more funny. That's what I might have to get a laugh that I'd just go eat even more calories. Yeah, that was a rough moment when I'm bringing that up to Jonah Hill because he had lost weight. And I was just curious, do people look at you differently? I wasn't saying you're not as funny. I was saying, do people look at you? He didn't appreciate that. No, he didn't. He did not appreciate that. That was his last appearance on the show. Yes. And I think Will Ferrell likes to remind me of that moment with Jonah.

That was unfortunate. Yes, Paul. This might be irony. But if you remember the movie, Funny People, with Sandler, Jonah Hill's Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill's character says something about Zack, about Rogan's character, you're not as funny now that you're in shape or something like that. He actually says that in the movie because in the movie, he gets in shape. Maybe that's where I got it from. I remember that line from the movie. I don't remember exactly the line. But I remember Jonah Hill going, Dan, are you really going to ask me that? I went, yep. You know, not to sort of pile on. But it was right around the same era that you asked a college football coach if they're weight, impacted their ability to recruit. And they didn't appreciate that either. I remember the name and the question. I do too. I was just trying to leave that out. But they also did not appreciate that question. And that's why we don't win a sports Emmy right there.

You know, I give it and I take it the way. Anywho. Yes, Todd. Not everybody gets your sense of humor. That's what it all comes down to. Your white says it. Everybody says it. Come on. Do you think I'm too thin to be funny? Me personally? I've left a lot of things you said over the years. I don't think weight does anything to do. Yeah, but I'm your boss. I'm your boss. Yeah, but that being said, you know, we've given taking shots at each other over the less 20 plus years. So that doesn't get in the way of that. But if I gain 20 pounds, we'll be hilarious. Thank you, Todd. Dan and Naples. Hi, Dan. What's on your mind today? Good question for Marr. Based on your Buffalo take. Do you think Dak's fiance and her fans are happier with her second round exit? Or do you think they would have been happier? You know, making it to the big show. I'll hang up and listen. So Dak Prescott and his fiance have broken up. Would you rather just be dating or make it all the way to...

You have a bachelor bachelor at party and then all of a sudden you decide you're not getting married. Marvin? Well, they didn't get married. So he probably... He won in this scenario. Right? So you rather date? Did she win? I'm talking about that. So Dak won. I don't know what happened in this relationship. I don't either. They both... They both had their bachelor bachelor at parties and then all of a sudden they announced that they weren't getting married. Yes, Todd. Yes, Hannah Worms. But we're kind of what we're hinting at and dancing around the elephant in the room. Would you sign a prenup or expect your future spouse to sign a prenup? It's kind of what we're saying. Uh... TMZ debunked that story. Yeah, full debunking. Debunking. Harvey Levin debunked that. So a fun question to ask. Okay. If your wife made a whole lot of money, would you sign a prenup? Todd? I would be offended at first.

Really? We're already planning on getting divorced and you're worried about me taking half. But if I really loved her and I would probably go... I'd say she's got a billion dollars but you have to sign a prenup. And she's like smoking hot and everything and all that kind of thing. And I'm just really head over heels. There's no other on the planet for me. I don't know what she looks like to me. I like that right now. You're debating whether you should sign a prenup if the smoking hot billionaire wants to sign. Because I don't know what I'm going to get in the future. This may be my only chance for me. But I would sign it, I guess. Yeah, I would sign it. Yes, Paul. I think I would sign it if I married someone who had a gigantic career financially before we met. And in a prenup, you still get something. It's not you walk out with a zero. Well, a lot of times you get paid with each year of marriage. So, let's say you get a million dollars with each year of marriage. Then you get to 25 years and you get a ten million dollar bonus. Seaton, prenup, you sign? Would I, of course, you know?

Yeah. Yeah, I would too. It's really not a big deal to me. Yeah, it's her money. She made it. Yeah. I'm fine. Well. But now, would you ask somebody to sign a prenup? Let's say you're worth a billion, Todd. Would you ask your fiance to sign a prenup? I would say, can you just sign something for me? And I wouldn't, you know, just I kind of block out the redact with on there. No, I would, I probably would. I would ask for a, if she wouldn't mind signing that. But you're offended. But you'd be offended if your wife and your fiance. Yes. Initially, initially, I'd be like, I'd be offended and would be my initial reaction. Like, you're worried about me. That's why I'm in this because I want to have your money if this doesn't work out. And then I would calm down and say, yeah, where do I sign? Yes, Marvin. If she helped me build the billion, no. But if I come in already as a billionaire, yes. Pring up. Mm-hmm. Yes, sir. All right. Let's take a break. And we'll get some more phone calls. You got one, do you think?

No. No. I didn't make any money when I met my wife. It'd be an awkward conversation to have now, though. Hey, hey, I was just thinking, what do we get our paperwork in order? What do you think about it, pretty? That would be an awkward one now. At this point in the game, what is that idea? Are we releasing a car? What's this paperwork? This is a bad idea. Yeah. Post-nup. Yeah. You know, it'd be a tough, initial conversation. But no, I didn't make any money. She didn't make any money. She can have it all. When I go, she can have it all. I don't care. Find and catch it. Let's take a break. We're back after this, Dan Patrick's show. Kids, may I want a few bucks? Thank you, Todd. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick's show. I hit the way back machine when I realized Mike Evans was going to go to San Francisco. And I was just curious how many starts he's had in his career, Hall of Fame career. 175 in counting. And you go back to college. And Johnny Mansell was obviously great, fascinating. But it felt like the bailout was I just throw it up there and Mike Evans is going to catch it. And I remember at some point we go, you know what? This guy Mike Evans is really good. Now Johnny got all the attention. And if you were going to guess how many career starts for Johnny Mansell versus Mike Evans in the NFL. Johnny had eight. And if you look at career earnings, Mike Evans, 155 million in counting.

I think Johnny Mansell made about 13 million dollars. But looking back on that college career. And it just felt like Johnny would run around and throw it up. And Mike Evans would catch everything. And then all of a sudden we realized he's a first round draft pick as a wide receiver. And now he's going to be a Hall of Famer. Yes, Marvin. Can Mike Evans get like a hand or a leg of the Heisman trophy? Because he was a big part of the reason why Johnny Mansell won. I don't know where that Heisman is for Johnny. But yeah, sure, why not? If I win a sports Emmy, I would like to give out pieces of my sports Emmy to our audience. Just maybe melt it down or chop it up and just give out little pieces there. Just giving back, Marvin. Okay. Yeah. But that's just giving back. That's all that is. Giving back to the people. Yeah, Mark. How many pieces can you put this sports Emmy into? I don't know.

I'm going to try to find out. Just a little like a little nugget there. Yes, Paul. You could probably grind it into fine dust and put it in like a little nugget there. Just dust and put it in like little bottles and everyone gets one. Okay. All right. Maybe I do that. See it, Paul. Yeah. Maybe I just give back to the community that they're part of the... It's not going to happen, but it sounds really good that I'm offering that up. Yes, Mark. We have to just get there. Yeah. Yeah. Not just get there. We have to win it. Right, Mark? Or we'll be disappointed. I'll be disappointed if we don't get nominated. But Steve Kerr, the Warriors head coach, dropped this little nugget on his last night where he was talking about the NBA schedule being too long. I know this will not be a popular opinion in the league office, but I will continue to say it because it's obvious. We need to play fewer games. We need to take ten games off the schedule.

I think it would be great for the league. And I get it. It's revenue, and you'd have to get everybody to agree to take a little less money. And that's a really hard thing to do. But what I know about the league, about coaching, about how hard it is to play the modern game with the pace and the space, I think it would be a more competitive and healthier league if we played fewer games. Yeah. It's not popular. It's not going to be popular with the fans, with the players, with the owners. The TV executives, pretty much nobody, because what you're getting paid, now you're going to say, hey, will you take, how much, 15%, 20% less? You're going to do that. Some guys are getting, you know, you're going to get a million dollars a game. So you're going to say, hey, can we take off ten games? We want to take away ten million dollars. These players are like, we don't have to play in these games.

We still get paid, so don't blame us, although we do blame you. But I don't think anybody's going to sign up to, let's play 72 games. Therefore, you know, is the minimum of postseason award going to be 55 games? Is Steve saying that he thinks players will play in more games if I take away ten games? They're still going to load management, Steve. Yeah, pulling. This is a really frustrating thing, and I bet a fan hearing it just gets crazy. Steve played her from 88 to 2003. He was one of the last generation of guys who generally played 80 to 82 games. Why, with the modern medicine and technology and hydration and food, can't guys play 75 plus? Why? I would like for Steve to address that. Just say, hey, this is the reason why I don't think you get private planes.

I think the NBA is trying to do a pretty good job with back-to-backs, trying to, you know, mitigate uncomfortable awkward travel moments. But everything's at your fingertips, health-wise. These are better condition athletes. I mean, we love to talk about how they're better athletes. But then those guys who smoke cigarettes and drink beer after games, those guys were able to play. I'm not quite sure I understand what Steve is saying that ten games is going to make that much of a difference. If ten games means players will still continue to play the number of games they're playing, and we're down to 72, okay? You know, baseball talked about this, going back to 154. I think you could go back 154 and nobody would notice. It wouldn't be a big deal. But you got to tell me, why are you doing that? These TV contracts, salaries are based off of 82 games, 162 games.

So, no, it's not a popular opinion by Steve. And look, he's not afraid to say it. But I can't imagine you're going to go back to these owners and these players and the players' associations say, by the way, we want to reduce salaries. Hey, but the good news is you don't have to play in ten more games. Okay, if I'm a player, I'm like, well, I don't have to play in those games if I don't want to. Nobody's forcing me, yes, Mark. If you think the perception of the NBA is bad now, imagine if they went down ten games, like, wait, you barely play 70 games? You want 72 games? Yeah, yeah, probably. I know it's hypothetical, but if you told the fans, we'll drop to 70 games and everybody plays all 70. They tried to play all 70, which is not possible. Everyone would sign up for that. If you know what you're getting, that's a problem. You don't know what you're getting night to night. Well, they can say we're trying to play in as many games, but you have coaches who rest their players.

So, I mean, everybody's complicit on this because I got to have my players ready for the playoffs. And I understand this. I go back to a great pop of it. It wasn't popular, but it certainly was effective. They'm like, hey, we don't have to have the best record. I want Tim Duncan and Manu and Tony Parker rested for the postseason. And I get it. His job is to win championships. And he did that. Now, it's just a different athlete now because you can say, well, Michael Jordan wouldn't do it. I don't know how a modern day Michael Jordan would be. I assume he would as competitive he would want to play or Isaiah or magic or Larry. I don't know. But I do know that these players, if they are better conditioned and treated better, paid better, off season staying in shape. Like all of these things, that should factor into them playing more games than less games.

Do you think some of these guys will end up regretting not playing in all the games they could have played? Because like you said earlier, talking about the Kelsey's retiring, when it's over, it's over. Michael Jordan, I think he'd give up half of his fortune to be healthy and play one full season of NBA basketball again. So do you think those guys that are playing now in low and managing will have regrets about not playing all the games they could have? No. No, because you can play more seasons, you're going to make more money. Now, unless it's individual numbers where you want to get to a certain milestone, other than that, I don't think they're going to look back and regret. Man, I should have played that game in Cleveland. I sat that out. Yeah, Paulie. I was just taking a look because Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves, he has a reputation of playing. He's not a load management guy. He's young, he's healthy. He's averaging 79 starts per season over the past five years, and that's cool, but that's an anomaly. Yeah, but I wonder how long that's going to take, or you know, that'll last.

I mean, it's great. You want to be able to go see the Timberwolves and you want to be able to go see him. And of course Rudy Gober. But I didn't mean to laugh like that. I'm sorry. That's for you. Yes, Paul. Six years ago last night was Rudy Gober, licking the microphones and his hands the day before the NBA season closed up shop. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cameron in Indiana. Hey, Cameron. Hey guys, how's it going? So I just got a couple of thanks for you. So I was first off, if I went in 73 and mine, I'm going to advocate for shorting the season two. If no one can beat my record, then I'll live in NBA history for that. Secondly, if I'm the player, I'm putting up all the points and stats, but I can't address. I'd be remembered to be close to Hall of Famers and somebody who, uh, just, uh, low managers.

I get a once again, I'm old school and I would want to play as much. But, you know, you got a factor in today's athlete and their approach to this. And if you could play less games, more seasons, more money, they're going to look at this as a business person. And I can't begrudge them for that. If you would have said, Hey, Larry bird's going to play less, but he's going to play three more seasons, I would sign up for that or Steve Nash. Some of these players who their careers were cut short, but they would try to play in at least 75 to 80 games. Yes, Marvin. But I think with Larry bird, I'm not sure if the amount of games that he played, it's how he played. You see all these montages of him running into the crowd and diving and hurting his back while doing that. So if he had played differently, I think it's different than the amount of games. Maybe, maybe, but that, you know, when people look at his career and they're like, I thought he played longer.

You know, same thing with Steve Nash. These guys were on the sideline, you know, Nash would be getting stretched on the sidelines when he'd come out of a game. Yeah, Mark. Imagine Johnson and Larry bird played 11 and 12 years. It felt like their impact on the NBA, it felt like they played for 20 years, but they only played 11 and 12 years really. Matt and Ohio. Hi, Matt. What's on your mind today? Hello, guys. How are we doing? Great, Matt. Good. A couple of things for you. I believe when you guys win that sport semi, you should mount it on the hood of your vehicle and just make it obnoxious and make sure everybody knows. And secondly, I am willing to go to New York when that time comes. And not only hold a sign, but go straight John Cusack boom box over my head and hopefully it's raining that day.

All right. Well, thank you, Matt. We appreciate the loyalty. Yeah, I can't invite the audience to join us in New York for the night of the sports Emmys if we get nominated. To then go out and celebrate with us, but I would like to. Yes, if there happened to be a spontaneous gathering of like a meetup of our fans there that we had no way. You know, organized, but it just naturally happened. I am. Let's see. Okay. Could we take all if we win the sports Emmy? Can we take off the next day? Oh, no. No, we got to take a victory lap. Yeah. Okay. I just because we'd be out late. I just want to make sure I understand what your guys, you know, motives would be. Mine is I'm showing up every day is the Super Bowl. You guys are going to show up as well. Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. Without question. Who are you talking to? Come on. I'm talking to Todd.

It's not just a victory lap. So the worst thing you could do after winning the Emmys to mail it in and then take the day off. What would that be saying to the Academy and the voters? I agree. I'd like to have a parade. I'd like to have a parade. I think the whole round of loss. Yes, Paul. First we get nominated. But if we win, we come in wearing the same things we wore the night before. That could be nothing. Wired a wire. Yeah. Could be, you know, a wild night there on the bus coming back. Just, you know, the last time we went in and I said to everybody, look, all supply beers here. Just know that there's no bathroom here. Well, Tyler's drinking like a sailor. Next thing I know, we're about 45 minutes outside of New York City. And he is just, you know, like when your kids are trying to cross their legs and they're dancing and holding themselves. And Tyler goes, I really got to go. I said, well, we're on the parkway here.

Like I said, there's no rest stops here. I know. But I really got to go. So we get the bus driver to pull over. And then Tyler runs under a bridge. Like it felt like a quarter of a mile away. And then he came back and he was like, thank you. Thanks so much. I said, Tyler, you can't have four beers on the way down here. And then not have to go. And he goes, I didn't know there'd be traffic. I said it's New York. It's New York during rush hour. Oh, my God. Yeah. So maybe no alcohol going down. Relax. Maybe we're just alone with our thoughts. We get ready. It's like Hoosiers, you know, when they were getting ready to play for the championship. Very quiet. Maybe a prayer. Maybe a few prayers. We'll take all that we can get. We got to get nominated first. When are the nominees out? Well, usually the first few days of April is announced.

Oh, yeah. I dread those days, man. Because I'll say Paulie today. No, not today. All right. Last call for phone calls. What? We learn what's in store tomorrow. All of that when we return. Opening night has never looked like this. Watch MLB opening night. The New York Yankees versus the San Francisco Giants. Live on Netflix. Wednesday, March 25th at 8 p.m. Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific. The last call for phone calls. What we learned? What's in store tomorrow? I got some information here. Steve Kerr, Warriors head coach, said,

you know what? Everybody could benefit if we played 10 less, 10 fewer regular season games. The NBA, if you go back to the 2011-2012 lockout, the regular season was 66 games. And most people felt that the players felt better. The basketball was better, better rested, and feedback from the fans was positive as well. If you start to look at the number of games that these players play now, I'll go back to the 2009 Celtics. They played in 106 games winning the title. The Mavericks in 2010-103. Then it was the heated 88, the heat at 105. These are teams that won the title. San Antonio in 14-105. Golden State 103. Golden State in 2016-106. Cleveland 100. So you go down the list, you're playing in right around 100 games

if you win the championship. So that's total regular season and postseason. You can take away 10 games and I wouldn't miss those 10 games. The problem is the players are going to want that money. The owners are going to want something for the money that they're spending, the salaries, and then the networks are going to want these players to play. I don't know how you convince everybody, hey, for the good of the game, you take less money, you can pay less money. I mean, the owners might say, look, I got, you know, you're taking away four or five home games here. You know, the executives, they're spending billions of dollars. This is a 11-year contract, billions of dollars. I don't know, and how do you say that to the NBA Players Association as well? So take away 10 games. I'm fine with it. You can take away 10 from Major League Baseball. I'm fine. I'm okay with all of that. But there are a lot of people who wouldn't be. Yeah, Paulie. I wonder if someone could look at this and say,

if the NBA went to 70 games, but in those 70 games, everybody's playing, and they get rid of the stigma of load management, that they'll end up making more money because fans will tune back in for the next generation. Long-term play. These players today don't care. They're not going to care about the long-term play. It's about them. They're on teams, but they're individuals here. And I think they look at it that way. How about this day in Sports History, Paul? Yeah, this day in Soft Sports History, Dan, 1941. The Brooklyn Dodgers, they announced that their players would start wearing batting helmets during the 1941 season. You call them soft. Soft, that's how it starts. Next thing you know, we have load management. Yeah, next thing you want face masks on your goalies, you know. It's count started right there. Here's one, 1976. Texas Tech Sports Information Director Ralph Carpenter. He became famous for the first use of this phrase.

The opera ain't over until the fat lady sings. That was 1976. Texas Tech Ralph Carpenter. The opera ain't over until the fat lady sings. Now, we shorten it to an ain't over until the fat lady sings. We took the opera out of the equation there. Yes, Todd. And what can we say now, waitly challenge? How does that work now? Did you even refer to that phrase, I guess at all? Big bone. The opera ain't over until the big bone lady sings. That seems safer. Husky? Garrett in Wisconsin. Or no, it's Darryl in Wisconsin. Hi, Darryl. Hey, Dan. Did you know that Owen Wilson appeared opposite crime Reese Witherspoon and illegally blonde?

Luke did. That was, that was, that was, yeah, you're right. That was Luke. I'm glad I could help you. It's not a whole for an hour. Yeah, he's going to tell me a prime Reese Witherspoon. And that was Luke. Yeah. A trip in Vegas. Oh, yeah. A trip. Good morning, Dan. I was going to talk with y'all. What's the race? I was thinking with the race this weekend in Las Vegas, I wanted to get back to a gift that keeps on giving. They also have a yearly race at Crappensburg State. It would be the, uh, just a dukelax twin 200s. And the main reason for the pit stops is excessive exhaust and rear end noise. And when leading the pit, you try to avoid skid marks are coming out sideways. And once again, the race finished with a complete wipeout. Everything got you by doing way. That's a good trip. Thank you, Trip. Thank you. I appreciate that. Uh, final results of the poll question, Satan. Oh, brother. What a day for poll questions.

Who had the best day yesterday? Malik Willis. Uh, which is the better movie wedding crashers or old school. Old school was leading right now. Uh, whose career would you want? Luke or Owen Wilson? Owen Wilson is crushing Luke. Absolutely dominating him like brother should. Um, the, uh, Raiders. Are they silver and back? Uh, no. No, they're not. And cancelling Magic City night. Was it smart or lame? It was lame, according to our audience. Todd, would you learn today? Ryan and Detroit goes sock. Shoes, socks, shoe and getting dressed. And that's very disturbing to me. Uh, Satan. Yeah, sock, shoe, sock, shoe, a psychopath. Yeah, that is weird. Marvin. You're ready to give up on paradise. Yeah, I've tried three episodes. Paulie, would you learn? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Thanks for joining us, our pleasure to serve you. For all of the luminaries here, including Fritzy, Seaton, Marv, Paulie Ears, Trilly, and the backroom guys. We'll try to do better tomorrow. Have a great day, everybody.
