1:03sports Thursday, Bartholomew. How are you, my friend? I can't complain, man. Kudobatato is a lot of stuff going on. You know, so many moves made in NFL. You really can't see. All of them were really digested. All of them yet. The small pieces of contributors that have come in and help out and help you win, go to the playoffs or win a division. But we're going to try and digest it, go try and project and see what this thing means going forward and how that affects the draft and where we stand with the draft and who's winning and who's losing. You and I, in the last time I think we did the show together a couple of weeks ago, it was still a pre-free agency, right? So it was basically a lot of speculation. Who's going to go here? Who's this guy going to sign with? What is this team going to do? Who are you going to trade for? Now we have the answers to the test. Right. Now we know exactly who's going where, who's going to be playing for who? Let's start right off the top. I think the biggest question at least in this neck of the woods was, you know, who's going to be the quarterback of the Jets, right? There were a lot of options. We throw all those names out there. They're going to trade for this guy. You can sign this guy, bring

2:05this guy out of retirement. It's Geno Smith, your thoughts. I mean, I think it was the safe move to make and it's cost-efficient, which is what you want. Kyle Murray would have cost another $20 million and would have stopped you from getting some other guys to come here. Cut to spending. Not to have a good team this year. You know, you think about, you know, still paying Aaron Rodgers, paying Justin Fields. I'm assuming that he's going to be a post June 2nd release. And then, you would have to, you know, have that money. That's $60 million for a quarterback and, you know, you don't have elite play and you're paying $60 million for a quarterback. So Geno Smith comes here, $3 million. You know, it cost you a swap. The Raiders was willing to eat that price. And to me, I think it's still. I think he's going to be able to come in. He's going to be protected better than he was with the Raiders. I think they're going to lean heavily on running the football. And I hope they get an upgrade at receiver. See, the thing is, and the dilemma I find myself in is due to Jets, you 16 for the right guard

3:12or the left guard, get an outstanding guard that's going to be here to replace Vera Tucker. Because Vera Tucker was a player that you drafted. That was everything that he was advertised to be. But you have to remember, you went and got him in the first round. Right. So do you go get him in the first round and say, I'll push the, I'll push my quarter, I'll push my receiver to the top of the first round of second round. Or do they do what they've done a couple of times? Do they package picks and move back into the first round by giving one of these late teams extra three or extra four compensatory pick and move up one or two spots from 33 to maybe 28 or 27. You have a lot of options. And like you said, when you have all that draft capital, that gives you the flexibility to do such things. And look, I, I, you know, after you let it kind of digest a little bit and you take stock in it, I have no problem with the Geno Smith move really. And truly, I don't because I think there's a couple key elements here. Number one, all right. Not going to be any worse in the quarterback

4:13play you had last year. That's almost damn near impossible. Right. I don't think that I'm telling tales out of school. I mean, I think any jet fan that's watched that team play last year, no matter who it was, it was tough sledding number two. Okay. The numbers that stick out to me are three point three. That's what the Jets are paying Geno Smith this year. And you know it as well as anybody. Okay. And anybody that watches football to get yourself a professional legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL in 2026. It's gonna cost you a hell of a lot more than $3.3 million. So the fact that the Jets were able to make ends meet and only cost them that. I think that's a win right out of the gates. Well, the crazy thing is the backup quarterback is going to make more than 3.3. If they go out and get a win, so they go get a quarterback, they're going right for a quarterback is above $3 million. Yeah. It's at least like $5 million for a quality backup. My point. So they're going to do that and allocate some of that money to the quarterback position. And I think they're doing a smart thing by trying to be competitive and win by trying to show people in the league that they're going in the right direction. So when you go into the third

5:14year, you hope that you hit your quarterback and you hope that at that point, he's a quarterback that's a phenom like, you know, well, you can't say like Drake made because Drake made took a couple years. You can say, Hey, can he, can he come in and give me some, some Jayden Daniels type of magic? And do we have the team around him that we can be productive with early on in his career? And we can maybe put a Mark Sanchez type of situation or Joe Flacco type of situation there. And nobody would say Mark Sanchez turned out to be some top 10 per radio pro baller, but he was on a team that was ready to win, had veterans, had good drive picks, had been having two multiple free agencies and it took it to the FC championship. I don't think anybody's looking, you know, that far down the road, I think you're just looking for, you know, marginal improvement. I think you'll take that because the the arrow is pointing up because I don't think you get much lower, right? Well, under Brett Farve, you were there were 79 and they were the hottest team and I'm not expecting to be that. I mean, 9 and 7, they were 9 and 7. Well, 97. Well, 97 and Brett Farve got

6:19hurt. They had one of the best records before he tours by set. And you know, you're hoping that you can do that. You're hoping that, you know, because you can, you have the multiple first round drive picks that you don't have to absolutely stick to being in striking distance on a quarterback that you want in the future. Well, you got three first rounders too. You know, you have that flexibility to where if you have to play like, Hey, let's navigate the draft board. That's what those draft choices are for. But look, as far as he's concerned, like with, with Geno in particular, right? Last year with the Raider. I mean, you think things were tough here. It was a disaster out in Vegas. It really and truly was. Okay. Think about Pete Carroll. All right. And, and you just started with Chip Kelly. It's the first thing you have to say. Well, that's what I mean. But it's Pete Carroll's fault. He put the staff together, right? Like Pete Carroll. And look, I've said this many times, I'll take the hit four part. I actually thought the Raiders were going to be a surprise team last year. When I say surprise, like, they're over under was maybe like five or six. I thought they would win maybe like seven, eight games because you had a professional Hall of Fame caliber head coach. You know what I mean? And I thought

7:23he wouldn't still a little bit of, you know, exactly. You had Geno Smith. I love the genty pick. So I thought that team would surprise some people. I really wouldn't be like an average, you know, tough out each week. Well, one one there in a tough division. Right. And Brock Bowers got hurt. Brock Bowers got hurt. Look, and, and, and you mentioned Chip Kelly. Pete Carroll. And this is one of the reasons why he's out of a job one and done is that he put together a horrible coaching staff. He had to fire two of his coordinators. He put two of his sons on his coaching staff and two of the worst areas of that football team. His sons were overseeing his assistant coaches, including the quarterback, including the quarterback. And I think the offensive line was the other one. You know what I mean? So like, that's the problem with coach. And when you put your staff together, if you hire your buddies or dare I say family members, you know what? You got to hold them accountable just like you would anybody else because at the end of the day, it's going to be your butt on the line. And that's what happened to Pete Carroll. Yeah. And he's probably never going to coach again because of that. But you know, he's a Hall of Famer. He's trying to set his sons up to be in position by, you know, piggyback him with him and pulling

8:26him along. Didn't work out. So they probably won't get opportunities for a while. But this I am not. I have no problem with Geno Smith. Like Geno Smith, even his first stint here, he had moments. Sure. He was a long time ago. I mean, let's think about it. It's a long time ago, right? Like he's developed. He's a better player today than he was when he was here the first time around. I mean, this is a guy who, you know, isn't that far removed from having two seasons with the Seattle Seahawksery through for 4,200 yards? Yeah. When was the last time that happened in the history of the Jets franchise from a quarterback? You know what I did? When Joe Nameth was the quarterback? Well, it happened twice. It happened. I think the air and get over 4,000. That was like the second time in history that the Jets had a 4,000 yard passer. I don't even think he did to be quite honest with him. I think he did. I think he did. No, he only had 38 97s. We came close. That was also 17 games, too. So the Jets only had a 4,000 yard passer one time. And Joe Nameth did it. He was the first

9:26quarterback in professional football to throw for 4,000 yards in a season. And that was back when they played 14 games in the last one to do. Last one to do with the Jets. Think about it, right? So I mean, like that's how long of a drought. It's been. And look, the other thing I like about Geno Smith coming into this situation. I mean, look, he hears all the noise. You're getting a motivated player with a chip on his shoulder. He hates the way things probably bottomed out in Vegas. I think to a certain degree, and you would probably agree on me on this. Don't you think that as bad as it was out there and there were so many people to point the finger at? It seemed like they pointed the finger at Geno Smith for all the problems they had in Vegas last year. Yeah. Yeah. He had a lot of turnovers, learning their new offenses, which is never easy. And you talk about a guy like Chip Kelly that wants you to go fast. So that means not only the quarterback has to process fast, but that means when teams are coming in a blitzin because they know you're going to go fast, that means that, you know, that that messes everything up because that mean the quarterback has to process fast. So that's when mistakes and miscommunications happen, which leads to pressure on the quarterback. There's not like they had a great offensive line. They didn't have any weapons to throw to that

10:29can get open. And they play in a super tough division when you consider that, you know, at least six of those games are against Denver, Kansas City and the charges. And the, you know, the bar is not high either. Right. I mean, think about it. Like we were talking about it before the show today in our little pre show powwow. And I had to call up some of these numbers. And look, you and I, we both, you know, cover the jets and watch the games intently. But you almost have to remind yourself just how bad things got with Justin Fields. I mean, there were games. I mean, back to back games, Bart. He threw for 45 yards one week. He threw for 46 yards the following week. And then two weeks after that, he threw for 54 yards. So think about that for a second. And NFL starting quarterback had a span of three out of four weeks where he threw for no more than 54 yards. I mean, you would think I'm making that up. But that was real life. Like that happened. That's almost amazing. If you're running back, if a decent running back had had three games

11:29with under 40 yards, you'd be like, Hey, what's going on? You'd be like, you, you would be like, like, we got to, we got to, we got to get some juice out of somebody else. And that's just what it just to follow themselves. So everybody wants to pool pool. But like, they can't tell me a better signing and the reason that you can't find me a better quarterback that's experienced, that knows his way in the pocket that has had moments. Like, this is us trying to find Ryan Fitzpatrick. Right. This isn't us trying to find Aaron Rodgers or Brent Farve. This is us trying to sign, trying to sign Kirk, I mean, Patrick. I don't know why I'm going to say make me make me make of this Patrick. That was a good pick. I will get to that one too. But I, and the difference though is, you know, the year when Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Fitzpatrick was brought in to be a backup, right? An insurance policy. Geno's brought in here to start. And he's going to have an opportunity this year. Look, he's going to get the ball. And he's, it's going to be his team, his offense. And we'll see if he can make the most out of his opportunity. The same opportunity

12:29was given to Justin Fields last year. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. But look, Geno could read the writing on the wall. He knows where he is at this point in his career. What is he? He's 35 years old. He'll be 36 in October. He realizes he probably only has a couple of more years at this. So if he goes out there and has a good season this year, we all know that the jets are probably going to draft the quarterback. If not this year, then in 2027, if Geno goes out there and plays good football this year, then guess what? He might find himself in the same situation going into 2027 for another team that might be looking for, let's say, that bridge quarterback like the jets are now. I know people don't want to hear it. But I don't really care. And everybody was trying to link Carson Wentz with coming here. Yeah. I was signed Joe Flacco. I would sign Joe Flacco with what Joe Flacco did last year. And if you go get another number, if you go get another number, two, if you drive Makai Lemon, if you get, if you get Tyson's, Tyson Smith, right? If you get a guy like

13:33that, Joe, yeah, Jordan Tyson, like Joe Flacco can cook. It's different from when Joe Flacco was here before because he couldn't get protected. I think you want a big arm quarterback that can push the ball down the field. I think that's what Frank Wright wants. And if you're thinking about backups for him, I think Joe Flacco has earned the right. And a lot of people think that Joe Flacco played good football last year. And now you talk about the same concerns that you have with Flacco, that you have with Geno Smith. He's not afraid to throw the ball into tight windows. And you know, when he throws intercepts into the bunches. But I think that's, I think that it gets you through the season. And I think that still gets you seven wins. I don't disagree with your logic. You know what I'm saying? Like I hear everything you're saying. And I think it makes a lot of sense. I just don't think it's going to happen, right? But let's just pretend for a second it does. That might be we have to really go through the history books here. Would that be the first time in NFL history? Let's say Joe Flacco comes back to the Jets that a team reacquired two guys in

14:37the same offseason who are both going on their third stints with that team. Because Domario Davis is now in his third stint with the Jets. And then Joe Flacco will be his third stint with the Jets. Sometimes you can always come home, baby. How crazy is that though, right? Yeah. You can know, you can always come home. And look, give a, you know what? Give credit to Joe Flacco that he's still hanging around. And he plays effective enough to team still want it. Like think about it. Joe Flacco is what? Pushing 40 years of age. And he's going to have a job some place as somebody's backup quarterback next year. Whereas, and we were talking about this before the show, he got a guy like Zach Wilson who only has like four or five years under his belt in the NFL. And there is a better than good chance. He might be out of the league when the season starts this year. He was a third string quarterback the last two seasons for two different franchises. That does not bode well for your employment opportunities, right? Yeah. But it just goes to show you. You do things the right way. And, you know, you go professional and you're professional and you show that, you know, you can still go out there and actually know what the hell you're doing and you can pick up a new system and you can adjust

15:39to a new locker room and teammates and all that stuff. You're going to find opportunities for yourself. And listen, and you talk about just guys being able to digest the system. Guys being able to regurgitate and pick up stuff and learn the checks, you know, unless you go on Romeo dolls, which I think he's on a team. I mean, that's kind of what you that's where you at, you know, me when you when you think about it, you know, you got you got to have guys like that around and a jet. So just trying to get through just trying to get through indeed eight hundred nine one nine three seven seven six. So we know that a lot of the attention was spent to the defense as far as showing that up and bringing him some pieces, leadership veterans, the Minke Fitzpatrick's, Demario Davis's guys like that. Those are going to be two of your captains next year. We know that. But the big name that's going to stand out, of course, is Geno Smith here because he's your new quarterback for the upcoming season. Jets are actually going to deviate from the plan they had last year. Remember last off season, none of their new acquisitions free agent signings, none of that

16:39stuff did any media in the off season like after they signed that there. So they're going to have media today's a matter of fact. I think it's at 11 30. They're going to have a bunch of the new acquisitions do like zooms with the media. So as soon as we get that sound, we will turn that around and play it for you. So you get the thoughts of some of the new players that are going to be wearing jet uniforms here. And we'll get into the Giants too because the Giants did a lot of good things and hopes of turning that program around now with clearly John Harbour at the helm. Let's get some phones up. 809193776. Let's get into what the Jets are doing with their all season on free season. I like a lot of moves they made. Bart, I don't know if you remember last when you and Carlton asked in the question, would you like to see the Jets do? I would like to see them make a lot of better moves, a lot of good deals on short-term deals. And that's what they've been doing so far. I feel like they've built in a great culture of guys to help set up to

17:44mentor the young guy they're going to come have drafted in the next couple of years. You got two for some picks this year, three next year. And I see what they're doing this year is just building some culture, building, bringing in guys to mentor the younger guys. And I really like what they're doing. I like bringing in Geno on a very good deal, only sacrificing a seven-round pick. I like the deals that they're doing. And I hope that it comes to fruition and they start winning and being more respectable. Thank you guys. Derek, appreciate the call. And that's all that's all that's about, right? 100%. And look, this isn't a shock, right? It's not a shock that they've brought in some reinforcements here. Now they brought in a lot of players and a lot of them are heavily slated over to the defensive side of the ball as they should because the defense was among the worst in the NFL last year. They had to change that. And if you think about the acquisitions they've made already on that sidebar, it's all three levels of the defense. They brought in linemen, they brought in linebackers, they brought in secondary. There's a lot that needs to be

18:47fixing because that defense was, it was an eye sore last year. There's no other way around it. Yeah, they had it. I like that they attacked it on three different levels and I like that they're going to go to a three, four. I think that's going to stop them from being pushed around. I think they said, hey, listen, we got to make sure that we have guys that look like NFL players getting off the bus. Yup, right. And you know, we were too small at the second level. We talked about getting pushed around at linebacker. You talk about getting pushed off the point of attack with guys like Clemens and stuff like that getting knocked off with double teams and, you know, getting in the laps of linebackers. You know, so it was good to see them go out and go get swept. Somebody that's going to sit there and be able to hold double teams. It breaks and Phillips and they got two edge centers. I mean, they got two edge centers in the outside linebackers that they brought in. And that's important. I mean, I think I think mission accomplished in listening. I think Aaron Glenn is saying, listen, if I'm going to go down, I'm going down with enough soldiers with enough a personnel where at least I can do what I want to do. And they may not be household names. But then

19:51again, Calvin pace wasn't a household name. And neither was Brian Thomas. But they played effective for us. Neither was Danny DeVito. You know what I mean? Mike DeVito. Mike DeVito. Pooha. You know, I don't think I don't think Mike DeVito would have done as well in the Jersey Mike commercials. You know, he's built, he's built perfect for that man. He said a bit of extra on like Tony soprano. Well, yeah, that's two. What was he? Was he New Hampshire? Mike DeVito. Was that with his, uh, rode island? He's up. Yeah, New Hampshire. Yeah. New Hampshire. He's up at the point him and him and Mulligan. That's right. That's right. So yeah, they had a couple of guys from the small schools up there in New England. Look, I, and let's not forget also, forget about the guys that, you know, they just, they signed within the last few days. Let's not forget that trade they made with Tennessee and bringing on to Vandrey sweat. I mean, that is a big body to stick right in the middle of that defensive line. Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, that's from San. So you talk about they got and then, uh, Oh, Mata, you know what I mean? You know, you got, you got, you got, um, like I said yesterday, I was talking about it yesterday. You got sweat, who was number four

20:51and run defense. And then you have, uh, uh, Mata, who was, who was 11th. So you got two guys that great out and then we know what the Mario Davis is coming downhill. Yeah, he's attacking the machine. Sure was attacking the machine. You know, so guys can run up and then make up this patch because one of the best center filters and all the game that can come down. I think you can't, you know, with him, I, I know he got to be like, man, I got, can I get somewhere where I can have a chance to win? Well, the thing is the thing with Minka. Remember, he, he, he moved back and forth between the dolphins of Steelers, the dolphins of Steelers, he just keeps going back and forth with those two teams. Now he comes here, a couple of things with Minka. Okay, remember, didn't pick off a pass last year and people are looking at that. Well, because they had him play more as a box safety last year. He wasn't Roman center field. So I'm curious to see how they use him this season. Um, Duker was down there with him in Miami. And now Dukers here is the defensive coordinator, even though Aaron Glenn's going to be the one calling the shots. That's number one. Number two, we'd spend a lot of time talking about Sherwood. And last year was a season for him where, you know,

21:51he became the guy, right? He wore the green dot. Yeah. And have CJ Mosley to rely on anymore. And obviously there was some mixed results there. Now you have an in essence, another CJ Mosley asked player in Demariel Davis, who's going to be the quarterback of that defense. Now he'll wear the green dot. Is that going to help bring out the best in Sherwood? Again, you think in 2026? I think so. I think it takes a lot of pressure off of him and also puts him to the bubble where he can run. Um, front sides going to be covered up by everybody and moving to a three, four, just creates more space for a lighter linebacker. Anyway, he's going to be to the bubble. Maybe whether they're an underfront, which puts the nose guard or the, you know, nose guard in the back of the A gap between the center and the guard. And then also he'll have overhang. And so he'll just have a, he'll have a hole, but it'd be nobody. The guard would have to chip to get up to him. And if he have, if he halves, which when we say half, that means we're telling the guy in the A gap to lane heavy on the guard, not so much the center so that if they try to run the ball open side, like he's

Well, well, I want to see people getting harassed. I get that. All that kind of stuff. People going to be nervous to come in tailgating and all that stuff is going to be crazy. The environment's going to be insane no matter where it is. Yeah. But then those are going to be packed, packed, packed places. But you think about what's going on in the

You know, I blacked out real bad because, you know, and I was like, damn, I never want to see him and we'll live with more. I never want to see him get him a little slushy and see. So I just, you know, felt very disrespected because it wasn't like, you know, we were just picking on him. You were hot, muddy, dirty trash and that's how you were playing. You were a charm style. So at the end of the day, you know, we were speaking facts. So I understand I said I wanted to stop Paula Ola. I didn't mean with hot garbage again and I understand he could be better and I understand he probably is better. But for I really want to know when you're opinion like as a me as a fan, how do I let this go? Like I don't know if I can let it go and actually cheer for him. You know what I'm saying? Like I'm very salty and I don't feel like he did deserve it because when he said to us fans and I had chewed it's like, I pay a lot of money for my, um, see, like I said, it was very cool. 30:10if I can love him. I get what you're saying, but you have to understand like he was being defensive and it's a point of weakness. Like you got a guy that's been great his whole life comes to a new team. New York thinks he's going to take over realized that playing right tackles a lot hard and playing left tackle. See, that's why I hate when people project playing people in a position in which they haven't played all their life and just think, oh, don't worry. It's left guard. It's right guard. Don't worry about it. It's the same thing. It's not. And you know, you got to think that he was under a lot of pressure. I'm sure that you're probably one of the more respectful people that talk about him, but I'm sure he's getting stuff. People sliding to his IG's, people sliding on social media, people just attacking him. So, you know, he's just swung back and I'm sure that he wished that he can just could have ate it and been more mature, been a bigger person, but sometimes it's hard. So, I mean, I can't judge him on what he, what he did three years ago. I only can judge him see if he'd learned and grew from that. He's, look, he's going to get an opportunity, but they gave him an opportunity in the past to win one of those guard spots after they moved them off tackle and he couldn't do that.

31:12So, yeah, because that's still a different position. It's a matter of what you say. Like you sitting in there and it's a guy sitting right on top of you. He's not outside of you. You know, I'm saying he's inside of you. He's head up. He's outside of you. That is different footwork, different things that you have to do. And that's what I'm saying. If Evan Neal, when he leaves the giant, I would love to see him just get an opportunity to play the position that we saw him dominating college. Can I tackle? You know, we were talking about this before the show. If you would have asked me before all the free agency and stuff got underway, I'll give you a guy who wasn't exactly popular among the his team's fans. Okay. I'll give you one from each team. Evan Neal for the Giants. Michael Clemens with the Jets. Yeah. If you would have asked me which one of these two had a better chance of ending up back with that team again, I would have said Michael Clemens because I it's just what you know this. I mean, it's like Michael Clemens. I still am not going to believe that he's not a jet until I see him run out on the field in that cult uniform in in September. So I was surprised he's not I'm surprised he's not a tight or that

32:17that's where all the former, you know, solid guys go, but it's crazy. He got good. He got decent money to 16. Dude, I couldn't. It's like, it's like, wow. It's almost like when Ken Law, when he got paid 15 million dollars to go play with the commanders, he's like, are they watching the same game? I'm watching. Well, that's I mean, here's the thing and I know that this isn't an Indianapolis show, but I'll say this anyway, like that, that's where the cults have lost me. They've lost me a lot over the last several months given Michael Clemens almost $17 million, given Alec Pierce, what the hell they paid him, like he's some legitimate bona fide number one wide receiver, giving Daniel Jones his injury prone to his, the money they gave Daniel Jones and oh, by the way, they gave up two first round picks to the jets for a certain player that we all know and thankfully they did that, but like, where is that program going in Indianapolis? How he's not fired. It's amazing. And almost gave Daniel Jones $5 million, gave up two first round drive picks for the sauce, gave Daniel Jones a hundred million dollars down there. Alec Pierce, what they pay, you would think Alec Pierce is frigging Marvin Harrison the way they paid him. I never had a thousand

33:21yards receive and never had over 50 yards, uh, 50 receptions. I can't get it, but this guy is Chris Ballard is living on borrowed time down there. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm like, coach is going to be coaching for his job this year and they're not doing him any favors. And oh, by the way, think about it. This is the same general manager that five minutes ago, five minutes ago, woefully, woefully overdraft that Anthony Richardson with the fourth, fourth overall pick. Oh, yeah, that's right. Right. I mean, like, think it, like, it is amazing to me. It'll be lucky to get a fourth back. And this is a team like, we were joking about this earlier. Do you remember, I don't know, like, almost, I would say seven, eight-ish weeks into the season last year. There was a team that like, a lot of people would consider to be like, at that time, the best in each conference. And neither one of those teams ended up making the playoffs. Indianapolis and the AFC, because remember, they got off to that like crazy start midway through the season. And you thought that the the hour was pointing up and all that stuff, they were like,

34:22the best offense in the sport. And then the Lions and the NFC, like, we just trusted in the Lions. Neither one of those teams ended up in the playoffs. It's crazy year last year. It's very crazy. Superbow, Superbow had the Patriots in the Seattle Seahawks, man. But just show, it's a long year too. Like, and even though you think you know all there is to know about a team like eight, nine weeks in, it shows you really don't. Yeah, I mean, things happen, people get hurt, people don't play well. And, you know, it's been a lot of crazy to just go to the Matt Crosby thing was crazy to me. I mean, it's just been, it's been some craziness already. And the big dogs happening really, really got picked up yet. Like, we'll see what happens. We'll see if somebody continues to try and trade for Max Crosby. Let's see what happens with somebody like the briskers guy. I like briskers. You know, I mean, it's still value still out there. It's not a white teller who's out there. I mean, this is a full offensive lineman. Yeah, I think he'll wait for a while. Like, the jets pick up somebody yesterday, man. It's like from Chicago.

35:26And it's like, I can't. Well, they picked up the, they picked up a new left guard part from the Raiders, which think about, so think about that for a second. The jets now have one of the Raiders starting offensive lineman from the last few years. And they have the Raiders starting quarterback from last year in Geno Smith. But I got no problem with the Dylan Parm thing for left guard because it's a two year deal, but the way the money is structured, it's a one year deal. It's a one year deal. And if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. And that's not to say that they still can't go out and address that in the draft either. I mean, people said, like, John Simpson was so bad, last year, I didn't see it. I'd saw him get some penalties and some over aggression. But I think he was bad. And I thought the year before he was excellent. John, and he, and he took the field every single week. And you know, it's so funny about it, too. Like, go back two years ago when the jets signed John Simpson as a free agent from the Ravens. People were ripping that to shreds. Oh, he's not that good. And they looked at all the PFF grades and all that stuff. And it turns out in the last two years, the guy was one of the more reliable guys. You had on your offensive line. I thought so. I thought he was the leader. I thought he was a tough

36:29guy. And I knew that I knew that the Ravens were going to take him back. And it's like crazy because now you got, you know, I call it the Ravens North. When you think about what's going on with what's a giant sure. And I heard that they want to break down you for lay lay up here. Man, you talk about one of the hated most hated Ravens and the history of of the team. I know. People could not stand him because you know why I played left tackle. We couldn't play there. He was, you remember, he came from Minnesota. He's a massive man. Six eight. Yeah. They were going it. It was, he was kind of filling in and going with, uh, Stanley. That didn't work out. And then, um, you know, I mean, when he worked with Stanley, they moved him to Garth thing. Ah, he's six eight. He's three hundred. And guys, we'd run it over going around him. And the Marjack's running for us down life. He had a great senior bullet here too. I remember that, that week when he came out, um, that might have even, that might have been the year. I have to go back and check where like the jets and the lions coaches were the two staffs coaching down in mobile at the senior bowl. And, and that was when Daniel was down there.

37:33And like I said, he was six eight coming out of freaking Minnesota. He was a beast on that field. And it's just, it's, it's amazing. It hasn't worked out for him. Max Crosby. I don't know if you saw this. It was, um, I guess like late last night, he tweeted out, everything happens for a reason. Believe nothing, believe nothing you hear. And half of what you see, I'm a rater. I'm back. Run that bleep. Okay. That's got to be a little awkward. Don't you think though? 41:39of it is they took Linda bomb and overpaid him when everyone trying to use that money that they had left to resign him. And they say, well, now we have more money because I think I have to see what Crosby's making compared to what they pay tray Henderson, which turns out to be pretty much 28 million dollars a year when you when you kind of put it all together. It could be 120. But I didn't see what the guarantees were for for tray either. I didn't see that. It's like 60. So is it 60? And I mean, look, when when push comes to shove, Max Crosby is a better football player than tray Hendrickson. I don't I couldn't go. I couldn't say that. I'm not even close. tray Hendrickson. You think tray Hendrickson is stout against the run. He's more stout than he can be more stout against the run. The Jets. But I mean, I I do not think of tray Hendrickson as some guy that I got to worry about in terms of, you know, he's going to chase me down on the fizz ain't Lawrence Taylor out there like chasing it down from sideline to sideline either. You know what I mean? Like see you see once again, you you mix it up. He he gets a lot of sacks. He gets hustle sacks. He has 17 17. Like other than Miles Garrett, nobody has had more sacks than him. And he's been underpaid. I I agree. He's almost been underappreciated, but you could be like let's say a real good pass rusher, but not somebody who's considered like a just like a dominant two way, you know, let's say, you know, edge player.
