Hour 1: The Return of Aaron Judge

After Thursday, it was much better. All the traffic sucked this morning, but nobody wants to hear that. But there is that I'll never forget. So let me take you back. Hey, let me take you back as they like to say. I was covering the US open for the first time. Year of our Lord. I was going to lead with the big foe. Year of our Lord 2007. So I was driving out to Queens each and every day, but crack a dawn morning drive. No problem though. The first week of the tournament is pre-labor day. It's still summer. Everybody's off. I'll never forget that Tuesday after Labor Day.

1:01It was like a completely different universe slammed in traffic and that's how it was today. Took me two and a half hours ballpark to get here today. Here's my only question is you and I were in the same ballpark so to speak at 720. I think we were. I think you were further along the major. I was just the toll were newer airport and 78 and the turn plate. That's why I was probably behind you more. But again, in that traffic where it's a parking lot, that's probably way out of separation. Like 815. Yeah, I got a 930. What happened 920 somewhere around there? Yeah, I was behind you probably a little bit more. But God bless six miles. Six eight 12 who knows. Well, anyway, we're excited because we finally are here. We have reached the fall. We actually have things to discuss. 809 393776. So let us begin. We're going to start with the big three. Go ahead. The big three story lines of the day. We begin number one. Obviously that air number one. Thank you. There you go. Dynamite.

2:05Is this number one, by the way? I wasn't sure. Snug. Let's go here. Judges back and the Yankees announced it last night. There's no any kind of rehab assignment. So the next few weeks, it basically is lining up like it's going to be well spring training. Here's Buster this morning on ESPN. It's going to be treated a little bit like spring training. You could see him play at least five innings in right field. Maybe they take him out. Maybe they limit the number of innings. He's on the field in the days ahead. He has about 19 games to get his swing back. That means about 65 70 played appearances before the start of the postseason. Remember, he hasn't played since May 31st. So he could look rusty at the outset. This is not to me that all of a sudden judges back and everything is safe. No, I, but it's not because I don't think that judge saves everything. It's because I think that there was actually enough going right positively offensively that judge didn't necessarily need to be the savior coming back.

3:08So this isn't a Jesus save situation. No, no, it's not one of those. Like you see all over the place bumper stickers and that sort of stuff. Boy, I'll tell you, they're really not keeping any secrets anymore because soon as kind of like the transaction was put out there. You got the Yankees posting all these Aaron judge things. You got the yes network with these like little video montage things. All the further questions. I mean, it's like, all right, normally there's no secret about this stuff, but I guess the cats out of the bag. Now we know who's going to be on the field today. And look, Yankee fans have been waiting for this. It is amazing that it's been 99 days since he's been out. Think about that. Number 99 99 days. And now today he's back on the field. And I guess, you know, when at the end of the day when you take a step back, do you believe that the Yankees and I think that the American league in the state of affairs has a lot to do with it, of course. But the fact that this team went 45 and 39 in his absence and throwing the other guys that were also on the shelf during that period of time. I think you would have to say all things considered job well done by this team, right? Oh, I don't think there's any doubt. And especially when you had the 50 game stretch where you were the worst offensive team in baseball.

4:19And still it ended up being there around 26th since the end of May. Yeah. But the pitching has been so good that it has given you every opportunity to be six games over 500 without the guy. That's patently absurd when you consider what his role was and you didn't have Belinger for all that long either and you've been out without stanton that they were able to do all of that. To me, there's been enough though over the last few weeks. I've been heartened enough to believe that there's offense to support the pitching. That was my biggest concern. Are they going to lose games in the playoffs to one? Are they just going to get out pitch because they cannot score a freaking run. I know what the matchups are. I know you can end up with a bunch of lefties. I know that that things may not necessarily line up exactly as you want. I also believe that we've seen enough to think this should carry the day. And so whatever happens over the next few weeks or judge is not going to bother in a negative way.

5:27The only thing I can be encouraged or the only thing I can be is encouraged before the playoffs. And also tip of the cap to the pitching staff too because we talked about this offense over the last 99 days or whatever it's been since June the first and how much they've struggled. You said it was a 4.1 runs a game. They're batting average 29th in Major League Baseball last in baseball in terms of strikeout rate. I mean, look, they're scuffling up there at the plate, but their pitching has been rock solid. And they've got the best DRA in all the baseball since June the first and you know that old saying pitching wins championship pitching is going to get you where you need to go. Yankees have put that plan at the place, my friend. They really have. The question is how much longer can this thing last because at the end of the day, judges not just going to step in. Look, he might go in there and get a hold of one tonight. The playing Colorado Colorado stinks. They might be the worst team in baseball. But that doesn't signal to me. He's back because the minute he goes out there and has two home runs tonight, he could go out there and go hitless for the next three, four. The one thing is because he's back. I just don't want to see the big sigh of relief. And then everybody else is like, oh, okay, we're fine.

6:28No, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like this is a process like sit there and take stock of where judges and where this lineup is when you get to September 28th, 29th, whatever the regular season ends. Wherever date that is, then we could see where things are at the worst possible version of this is that he becomes the one man offense again. Because even his presence as much as that's going to help and other guys are going to get pitches to hit. I do feel like there's entirely too much emphasis put on his presence and put on what he means to them. I just don't want everybody else to worry when daddy's not home. Yeah, you know, because let's call this what it is. Something could very easily happen again or he just is not hitting again in the playoffs. Do you believe there's enough now around him where if he's not hitting in the playoffs again. Everybody else can carry the day. Yeah, there's enough. I think on the roster, but I think some of it is pitching related.

7:33You know what I mean? I feel good about the pitching. I feel great about the pitching. I'm talking about scoring enough runs. Period. I think they'll find a way 10 runs again. Yeah, I'm not getting that unrealistic. Can they find a way to give you four or five runs consistently a night in the playoffs? Yeah, I think so. I do think that Belinger's going to have to step up. We know that. You think about other guys on this team that you have faith in in these situations. You know, one of the things we were talking about before the show, the trend Christian injury over the weekend. That kind of eliminates one potential headache as far as trying to make sure all these chess pieces fit. Because that was the question right like when judge comes back who you're going to play when you face a lefty, who do you play when you face a righty, who do you play who sits? You know, how are you going to make all these pieces work? Trent Christian going out of the lineup now for God knows how long. Guess what? I'm Ryan Spencer Jones in center field, baby. Oh, I'm Ryan Spencer Jones in center field. There wasn't a question for me already. You know, I'm saying I was ready to do that eliminate all the awkwardness. He's the guy. Yeah, and until he's not. I mean, I hate to put it this way because you never like seeing guys get hurt, but if Grisham's played his last game as a Yankee, I'm good. We're straight. I'm alright with that because there is, I think the one thing that does get overlooked is not just a Grisham has been so bad offensively. He's been bad in the field.

8:46Like Jones, at least is going to do some things where athletically he will give you, he might cause somebody to not think about taking an extra base here and there. He might be able to cut off a ball in the gap. He might get to something that Grisham just never had a shot to get to. And so from that standpoint, that has me a little bit more heartened by well, I'll tell you Jason Dominguez is going to be your answer. As you saw that lack of a simple. And then like Boone after you know one of the reporters. I guess asking him the question said like, well, do you think that was a little bit more difficult to get to. I like the basic and then like Boone after you know one of the reporters, I guess asking him the question said like, well, do you think that was a little lazy and he's like, no, you're misreading the play. Well, I don't know what the hell you call it then. Is he just incompetent? How do a little leader can make that play getting front of the damn ball put it in your glove. I mean, you can't allow how many you had to like how many bases he gave up on that play. I mean, that's an easy play. That's why Dominguez was back in the minors. You know, that's it. It's it. It's text in a buddy of mine over the weekend. You might know. I don't know. I think you do know. Actually, big Al. No, who's big Al? Just a guy just made it up. You think I would know somebody named big Al. I'm not one of those guys. Living Union County, New Jersey. I do think I listen. There's a good chance. I do too. Are we talking about big Al the guy who it dingers in the Lily World Series?

9:52And I'll go now. But any big Al. We're in Union County. There's a good chance we know somebody's big in a little league world series. Our boy, the tugboat on Friday night struggled. He's a great guy. We're in the middle of the night and he's got a lot of plays. We have to talk about him. We do know what the Dominguez thing I said to him. I said, you know what? Start to get the sense that this Jason Dominguez character might be a four A player. When it's all said and done. And he wrote back. Might be. Yeah. There's no discussion about that anymore. I mean, what do we retire the Martian nickname, by the way. into the sky. I think a lot of Yankee fans probably want to. Yeah. Can you abandon him on the planet like Matt Damon? Never saw that movie actually. The Matt Damon vehicle, the Martian. It really it was two and a half hours about growing vegetables on Mars. Did that really do anything for you? Was it the space version of like cast away pretty much? Pretty much. Yeah. Yeah.

10:52Yeah. It's exactly what I was like. I saw cast away. I'm good. Yeah. You don't know. Yeah. And what I remember, I haven't seen it in several years. But all I remember is like he was growing potatoes on Mars. Like really? You can do that. Would you really trust that? Do that. Good of a science. Would you trust a potato on Mars? Like if you went over to somebody's house for a backyard barbecue and he's like, you know you got to try these potatoes, got them fresh from Mars. You eating them? You're going to talk about the most important staple in my diet and I'm going to trust one from Mars. No. No. You can't. I am not going to do that. Number two. Has any part of what the expectations have been this year changed? I really am getting closer and closer to being able to draw the parallel between the next and the Yankees from of just wanting to get to the postseason of not necessarily worried about, hey, we know we're going to be the number three, the next. This is we know we're going to be the number three seed. Let's just get there.

11:53This is what it is to, but we're never going to beat the West. You thought all along, you're never going to beat the West. I don't think that that's still the case anymore. I don't believe that the Dodgers are unbeatable right now and you've mentioned the pitching. I think everything's on the table at the moment. Whereas you would have thought they weren't beaten, San Antonio and they weren't beaten in Oklahoma City. Well, it's going to start to become a, if not now, win thing for me. No, it's fair because if you want to say Oklahoma City is the Dodgers as the defending champion, but we didn't think Oklahoma City would get picked off. But San Antonio got them, right? And especially when that series hasn't unfolded in the Western Conference, finally, it's like, no, they're not winning that. They're not winning a game seven. They want a game seven in Oklahoma City. You know what I'm saying? Like it happened. So could the Dodgers get picked off? Yeah. Do I think it's going to happen when push comes to shove? Probably not, but it's possible. But you're talking about this team and what they should do can do. One of the things that concern me a little bit was if they full-short again this year,

12:54right? Are they going to have that built-in crutch to say, well, one of those years couldn't do anything with the injuries. We're just missing so many guys. We were never fully healthy. We never were at a full deck even into the playoffs. And if you full-short, like Yankee fans don't want to hear that, right? No. They don't want to hear that. And I don't think it applies because you've got enough. Yeah. You've got enough. There's more than enough. And your pitching is intact. But if I had said to you a month and a half ago, they got to the World Series, but they lost to the Dodgers again. How would you have felt? I don't think that's the worst thing in the world. No. Right now? Right now. No, at the moment, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world, but I think the Dodgers are there to be picked off. And when you have been what you have been over a 17-year stretch and the pitching, as you keep pointing out, and accurately so is what it is, why would I not believe that I have the chance to get him?

13:55If Otani, like, if this whole thing with Otani, is he so focused on wanting to pitch that it's becoming an issue now? He's not going to pitch. Like, he talked yesterday after the game and he was like, yeah, I'm probably, you know, not pitching. It felt like the Dodgers wanted to try to ease him in that direction. Like, do they need him to pitch? They don't need him to pitch. They don't need him to pitch. They need him to hit. Here's the thing about that. And they're not hitting enough lately. The comparison that I use with the Dodgers is now they're going for the three-peat. Think back to when the Yankees went for the three-peat in 2000. That was the subway series year. That Yankee team, remember, they were kind of like limping to the finish line. Yeah, they were, they were in 87. 87. Yeah. And the Mets won 94 that year. Yeah. And the team's had better records in the Yankees. They had a terrible September. But the Yankees, like that, and we've seen this with champions, not teams like going for a three-peat, but like teams that have, they're like, wake me when the playoffs start. Wake me when the real season starts. And baseball, especially, you play 162, that is grueling.

14:56Like, you mean to tell me you're going to get up for, you know, just a Sunday night game, Labor Day weekend against the Washington National, which by the way, they played like, local time seven o'clock in LA on Sunday night, Labor Day weekend. They're bizarre. Like, why are they playing at 10 o'clock? I don't know, but whatever. I just, I'm not ruling anything out anymore. I'm where there was a time when I ruled it out with the Knicks of, they're not winning a championship. That changed about midway through the playoffs with how easily things were coming to them. And I don't expect all of a sudden that the Red Sox are going to be so much easier to beat and that the Razor going to be so much easier to beat. But if you get through those two, there's literally no excuse for getting to the World Series. Let alone, I wouldn't say no excuse, but your chances for winning it have gone exponentially up. Absolutely.

15:57Absolutely. And look, you know, unfortunately, they lost the game in the standings this weekend, because on Friday, I was sitting there, tutin' the horn that you know, they got a shunt here. They got a shot to steal this division. You know, Tampa just keeps falling right into their lap. I mean, they lost the game on Thursday night, the Texas when the Yankees were off, which got them even closer. You know what I mean? So like, you felt really, really good about what this team was capable of doing. And then they go out there this weekend, have a rough weekend and send a, you know, and actually lose a game to the race. But you look at the schedule. You got Colorado for the next three days. Tampa Bay's playing the Braves in Atlanta. Now, they don't get sale. So they don't have to deal with him. But I mean, Braves are sitting there trying to make sure they square away this division. You know what I'm saying? Like, and Atlanta's obviously a good team. The next three days should be an opportunity for the Yankees to at least maybe gain another game on Tampa. And I do think we were talking about this before the show. I do think winning the division is big for this team. I really, truly believe that. Given all the injuries, given the fact that you're still trying to, you know, integrate guys and you're going to be bringing some pictures along here over the next couple of

16:59weeks that you try to get back them into the swing. Having to play less games, one less round, that's huge. I see, I don't think it's as big. I think we've seen in baseball over the last several years that that buy since they've instituted it hasn't ended up meaning all that much. And I get it wanting to line up all your pitching and all of that. But I think what I would say is there's a bonus to having to only face only one of those two teams and obviously having home field. Okay. The problem for me with the Yankees is I just want everything else lined up for the playoffs. That's all. I don't think that those two teams, even though from a record standpoint, the raise are, I don't think that those two teams are better than the Yankees when it comes to a short series. You know what concerns me? And I've got a hundred and what a week. Forty one games or 43 games of sample size up until this point.

17:59It seems like the Yankees can't go a week without having somebody land on the IL. That's what concerns me. So like, I don't care that it's regular season or playoffs. If you're telling me they've got to play a best of three wild card round against the Boston Red Sock. How do I know that something bad's not going to happen in those three games? Because they just have no luck this year when it comes to injuries. So one less series possible. I don't see how there's any other way that that doesn't be whov them. And especially that Red Sock team is just something, something about them. Like they had that ridiculous. They're spooked little spooked because they had that with 31 and five streak or whatever was and then they kind of tailed off and came back to the pack and you're like, oh, all right, they shot their proverbial. You know what, they're good. And then they rose from the ashes again and they're winning some of these crazy games. It's like they just won't go away. And now you're reading that Garrett crochet. They're targeting the first round of the playoffs for him to be back. Like, that's a Boston team that's going to throw all lefties at you, which the Yankees do not fare very well against and having a top lefty like that be part of the mix.

19:00In a short series, that would concern me a little bit. Number three, let's get to some football with the jets and we've, I have talked about ad nausea. Over the last several weeks, the, what did they come from by the way? Yeah, somebody threw up. Is that Latin? Somebody threw up from talking about something to my head. What does it have mean? Like, end, no, I could say end, but like, ad, what's the ad? I don't know. That's what he's saying. I went to Catholic high school and never took Latin. I didn't have any interest in either. How about a language I'm ever going to speak the dead language? It's dead. It's dead. Yeah. Well, all right. Then just nauseam until I throw up, how about that? Fair. I've talked about it a lot. There are six games on this schedule that there's no reason that the jets shouldn't win. And we all understand that not every team is going to win every game that they're supposed to win. This game one is absolutely one of them. And it's lining up the way that I would expect the jets to win this game.

20:02I know they named Geno, like the best training camp player offensively, whatever he was. Say, have those, I guess, for the team that he performed the best in training camp. That's great. It's probably part of setting a tone for who the leaders on this team are going to be. There are too many things going in their favor here that we should be able to in a few weeks stop talking about what the promise of the jets is as opposed to what the, the new reality of the jets is as a team that's improving. And there's no reason to not see that in week one. I don't disagree at all. And obviously, okay, it's proverbial game week, right? We're in game week. So I start to take this a little more seriously. We start to look a little bit closer into the situation and the game coming up on Sunday and start to do my prep for the game and everything. And I know a lot of people have been on this train about it's a must win. And I never really like to say that about it.

21:04Game one, for example, you could lose game one and then roll off the next 16. You go 16 and one. You know, I mean, like it's so it's silly with must win. But as we've gotten closer to this game, I got to be honest with you. I'm starting to join the camp that this is as much a need to win game for them and should win game as you could possibly have all things considered week one of the season. I really truly believe that and a lot of it has to do with the opponent. I'm not very impressed by this opponent at all at all. No, I understand that and you shouldn't be. And anybody who is like, well, you know, Salah's going to have him ready to play it. Listen, yeah. And I'm worried about getting out coach by Bob Salah is the day that I quit the game. And I mentioned this on Friday too. And I understand he's a bad head coach, but he's not a good head coach. And he's a good defensive coach, but he's not a good, you know, Jordan push back a little game. He's given who the opponents were, but they did lose three out of the four week one games when Salah was their head coach. You know, it's not like they came out of the gates, you know, firing on all cylinders.

22:05I will give you one little thing that bothered me this morning. Um, this morning, bother. Yes, really story and athletic did sit down with Aaron Glenn and you get these kind of stories at the beginning of the year, which are kind of the team trying to set a more positive tone, but also understand and manage what the expectations are going to be about what happens. And Glenn has the comment this morning, you can't go from here, meaning one end all the way to here, you cannot skip all these spots in the middle to get it going. Big ships turn slow. That's just what I was thinking. Yeah. The problem is that's not true anymore. We just saw a team in your division do it last year. We've seen other place now granted certain places get into, you know, they get the quarterback and obviously that changes all of your, um, possibilities. They get Jacksonville last year, right? Yeah. They get a soft schedule.

23:05The Patriots had the softest schedule in the history of the league last year, even in the playoffs, but college football in Indiana, like you have to bring in 70 new players, but that's actually possible. Right. Here's my point. Yeah. NFL, it's not nearly the problem that it once was. I'm not expecting the jets to skip those steps. I just don't want to hear more about the process. Great. I get it. I personally, if the jets won eight games this year, that's a huge success. And I think everybody would feel great going forward. But as much as we focus on talking about the process, stop talking about the process, because the process and all of it, we, you know, about how we have to take our steps and get here to here. And we were here when we got here. The clock on life didn't reset when you showed up. Okay. It's been 15 years. And while you have been elsewhere as a defensive coordinator and gone since the last time you were in New York, everybody else has still been here and living it every day.

24:08We're going to chop wood. Don't do that. Yeah. Not today. I mean, what are you doing? Come on. Come on. I had a bad, I had a bad enough Thursday. I'll get to that in a minute. Anyway, go ahead. I don't think there's anything to get to with that. I mean, what's the get to? No, I'll get to someone just aggravating the crap out of me this morning with something with that. Give up 200 yards of rushing to units. Yeah, I was there. I Yeah. I'm done. The What are you doing? What you just did, Joe Leo. You just buried the entire show. We were cooking along for 20 minutes. It actually felt like I maybe that felt more like 12, 15 minutes and Joe Leo. Oh, let me just throw a bomb into the room. Yeah, we got to lick tonight. Thanks. Thanks. You know, I will give him a great. He didn't do much for three hours, but in that press conference afterwards, I'll tell you, hit the nail right on the head. I don't think there's a better term he could have used. We all got lick that night. And a lot of ways bad night.

25:08Bad night. Um, I was, that was called leakage. Um, what were we talking about? I don't know. Killed us. Aaron Glenn with the process. The process. I just don't want to hear about. I don't want that to be a consistent theme all year when you're in games. Right. You're right, because here, here's the thing. You know, the people that want to articulate that in modern day NFL. Truth be told, they're just people that need more time. Right. I don't want to say it's an excuse, but they realize they need more time and it's not going to happen right away. This isn't the days of woe be gone where coaches got five years to build a program. You know what I mean? And generally came with your draft and a new quarterback and you're going to have to, you know, nurse him through the growing pains. This isn't Jimmy Johnson in 1989, take it over to Cowboys strip in the roster, going one in 15 the first year, six wins the next year. And then they make the playoffs finally in year three and year four. The dynasty begins, they win championships, right? Like that, that's not the case anymore. You nailed the teams that could go from worse to first in one season.

26:10The giants freaking did it with Brian Dable the first year. Yeah. Now they went backwards and there were extenuating circumstances with that, but they turned it around in one season. And what do we say about that team? Well, the schedule wasn't really all that difficult. You know, they beat the teams they were supposed to beat, but well, just to give you an idea, we know the jets are not going to be the dolphins this year. We know that, do you know that the salary cap is 310 roughly? The Miami dolphins have 181 dead cap money. Their top five cap numbers are not on the team anymore. Two is a buck 50 in dead money. It's unreal what's going on there. And that's not what this is. So I don't want it. No. If I'm in Miami, they haven't want to play off game in 20 years. I know that. But I also understand where that is and that's an atrocious situation. I know where I am. I'm the jets. I didn't think and I was not sold that I was there last year and we had a horrible season.

27:11So I don't want to hear about it again. The first half of the season last year, they tried to win once they traded away sauce, traded away Quinn and then they waved the white flag. And then especially so the last four or five games when you started a guy a quarterback who was in camp this year, your fourth string quarterback and got picked up by all teams. A team that doesn't want to win this year. The Miami dolphins. It's Carl and it's grass. It's Tuesday during the football season. Dan is here every Tuesday and Thursday during the football season. You know, this is this morning allowed me to kind of experience something that I had forgotten about football. That is particularly aggravating and it becomes a particularly aggravating when it comes from somebody who does not mean harm by it.

28:11I walked in the door this morning. Had not been here three minutes. Yeah. I know what you're saying. Lead sales manager, Jim O'Brien. Great guy by the super. Fantastic guy like family just looks right at me and says, hey, how about that Rutgers game? Why are you sucking the life out of me to start when I've been looking forward to this Tuesday to have actual football to discuss. It's just why don't you just kick me right in the nuts right in the grind. And take your shot right then. That's the easier thing to do. And here's the thing about Jim. He did not mean it in a malicious way. And those people are the worst ones. Like when your team loses on Sunday and it used to determine my mood for two days easily, easily. It doesn't as much anymore because I'm dead inside.

29:11But now now I don't at least I have a massive callus that allows that to happen. It used to just do it. That's not one where I have ever developed a callus over 25 years. No, you know what it is. And I'll try to explain to people like if you if you cover a team and you're obviously connected to the broadcast, which you know, that's that's a whole other level. Whether you have a dog in the fight or not, it takes its toll on you. And especially you know what I'm saying? Like I try to explain to people. You think I don't feel do I I'm fact doing a bleed? You know, it's like you watch this. You're watching. You can't look away. You can't look at like the scene of the crime. You can't look. Oh my God. I can't watch it. No, you have to look and you have to talk about it. And you know, you you actually have the ability to turn it off and others have the ability to turn it off. Like people say to me with the jets the same thing. It's like, well, no, I yeah. And then yeah, we talk about it for two hours. Yes. Yes. I know. Don't the Grekk out a great line about that years ago. I can't repeat it on the air. But it lends credence to yeah. Like my point is like are you like that guy?

30:12Yeah. Again, nothing against him personally, love Jim personally, great guy. But the way he just inadvertently cracked me across the face with that walking into the door. First thing, what a what a complete kick right in the groin. Like that guy to me. Come next Monday. Somebody who knows the ERA jet fan and they lose a heart breaker to the Tennessee Titans. They hit you with that first thing out of the gate. I defy you to not snap. Yeah. I don't know how I didn't snap. I don't know how I didn't. What's you, you know, I never asked you, what's your routine when you get home from a game? If it's a home game, for example, I don't have to like, I got to shut it all down. Define shutting it down. You're not going to, okay, so this was a night game, but let's say normally the afternoon games college football Saturday. So when you get home, what's the silence? Just silence. It's just my wife will want to talk about the game and we'll talk about the game and

31:17we did the other night. I would tell her call sports phone. Well, she has watched and listened to the entire thing. Like she doesn't, she's my wife and she loves Rutgers too because of me. And so we will sit there and we will talk about it. And then for instance, the other night, you just hit a moment of, okay, I'm done. We're done talking about this for tonight. Yep. And it's probably about 15 to 20 minutes because she's been sitting at home. She didn't come to the game the other night. She's been sitting at home and has been watching and has been listening and has plenty of comments that she, she's a knowledgeable football fan. Yes, she makes good comments. She does. She could be a color commentator. She makes good comments. All those interesting comments during the game. Yeah. Well, you should have X athletes. Four guys later actually in broadcasting. But no, she, it's not trying to explain the game to somebody.

32:18Like she's, she's a huge sports fan. And so we're, I want to give her that chance and I also, it allows me to get some of it out. But after that, and it doesn't even matter like what happened, but specifically what happened the other night. Yeah. About 20 minutes were lying in bed. And I just said, I'm done. Yeah. We're good. Yeah. Can't, can't talk about this. See, that's the beauty of the Thursday though, because then you had Friday, it's like decompressed. But then four days later, somebody comes in after Labor Day and kicks you right in the groin. That was the running interaction on a phone. See, see, my, I usually get a lot of it out on the phone. Like so, no, my routine, boy, we are just bearing souls here, taking people behind the curtain, behind the into the booth. And that happens, get off the air, get in the car, call the way, you know, this is me. Oh, my, literally, oh, I mean, how many more, you know, like, so basically like the hold

33:24and not the whole drive home, but a lot of the drive home is just the ugly recap. And then by the time I get home, it's sit on the couch and it's a Sunday. So there's football and you know, whatever game is on, I'll just sit there like this. Stone face that TV. No, that's what I do Saturday night. Yeah, I, I, and it doesn't matter if they want to lost a game earlier in the day. I just, I'm going to hit a wall of I got nothing left to give right now. No. And I'm done. And then this week, I've got Friday night, I've got the game up at Boston College. When should I go up again? Thursday evening. Thursday. Friday from up there. And then again, on the plane Saturday morning, dolphins raider Sunday for ESPN radio and that's on 880 here, by the way. And I will have that's a Vegas vehicle. That is a Vegas vehicle. A legend. I, I will have nothing in the tank in Vegas post game on Sunday.
