About this episode
Hello!
Today, I’m joined by Guy Sebastian. Guy is one of Australia’s most successful and grounded pop artists. After winning the first season of Australian Idol at just 21, Guy went on to sell more than 7 million records and earn seven ARIA Awards.
In this conversation, he reflects on discovering his love of music through school and church, the spontaneous decision to audition for Idol, and how life changed overnight in 2003. He also shares insights into his 20-year relationship with his high-school sweetheart and wife, Jules, his perspective on grief, and the values he hopes to pass on to his two sons, Hudson and Archie.
If you'd like to support Guy, you can follow him on Instagram (@guysebastian) or find tickets to his upcoming tour, 100 Times Around the Sun, right here! You can also find out more about the Sebastian Foundation here!
This conversation contains mentions of suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please head here or contact LifeLine on 13 11 14.
